Bakkerij Voncken - Kerkrade Centrum in Wijk 01 Kerkrade-Oost

We were in the shop at 3:30 on October 3rd during the fabric market, which was very busy, and everything was already being taken out of the display case, while several customers still wanted to buy pastries. We were informed that the shop was closing at 4 p.m. They simply continued clearing everything away. We did end up buying half a flan, but the service was not enthusiastic. Additionally, people walked out of the shop wanting to heat something up; they were also told that the oven was already off. The above is not the service we are used to from other branches.

Always delicious pastries and such, and when something wasn't quite right the other day and I pointed it out in a normal way, it was more than made up for in a super correct manner.

Beautiful place to eat, great staff, and I recommend the Voncken toastie!!

Deeply depressing. Unfortunately, if you have even the slightest manners in Kerkrade, you are always the last one to arrive and don't get served. Every time you have to wait 10-20 minutes, and the next person who comes in is always served immediately. You've been standing there for 10 minutes, nobody is there, and suddenly another granny comes along who leans over the glass as if she's at the bar, without batting an eyelid, with the longest, stupidest orders: "How many grains are in there? Can you count them? Do you also have triangular bread?" You won't see me again. If it's already so hard to realize that I stand there for 10-30 minutes and always have my money ready, unlike the old folks who spend half an hour looking for it. And who pay for their order within 1 minute. Highly discouraged; get your products at the supermarket, they aren't moldy the next day and you don't pay 5 euros for an apple turnover. Trashy place.

They really need more staff… waiting 10 minutes for a sandwich every single week.

They have very good and tasty bread and pies and pastries and many more tasty things there. You can also have coffee and eat pastries there.

Good service and respond well to laxative intolerance

We bought four different types of bread. They were all of poor quality and tasteless.

Nice and friendly staff. The rest... Well, if you buy a salmon roll where there is only one little tiny thin piece of salmon, and the rest is a slice of egg, loooooots of iceberg lettuce and a completely soaked wrap...and when you tell the staff they say that they actually know about the poor quality of these wraps...the only question is - why do you still sell them and how come you do not warn the customers not to get this product? Useless. Never again.

A beautiful branch, friendly staff, and comfortable seating. We had a delicious lunch there.

A bad experience at this place. Ordered a sandwich, and one side was just plain bread, not toasted. I had to return it, and the second sandwich was exactly the same, with one side barely toasted. I ate it anyway, but it was a real disgrace. The salad was brown and old. The cappuccino tasted like coffee with milk, without the delicious, thick layer of milk that cappuccinos normally have. No, absolutely not recommended! Too bad.

I had a birthday cake from there at a party; they look very, very nice, but I'm sorry, the taste is terrible.

I would like to say that employee Jaqueline is a very friendly, sweet, and helpful person. I really enjoy coming here when she is there. She is and keeps the shop clean and tidy, and I am there daily for breakfast and am happy when she is there; you just see the difference in everything. They should all be like this. After waiting for nearly an hour , the restaurant says their printer is not working and they missed to see our paid order. Please avoid if you don’t want to spoil your weekends or weekdays or have kids who are hungry ..

Super sweet people, managed to get a pie at the very last minute! Even though they were already cleaning and tidying up etc. Nice people and they helped us out well.

3-3-2023: Friendly staff and the coffee was delicious. I'll get straight to the point, regarding the points for improvement: *My girlfriend and I both ordered a bean stick with cherries. It looked like the cherries had flown over it: there were only 2 on my pastry (!!!) *The coffee spoon and the supplied knife were covered in stains (didn't look very fresh). *I didn't get a standard napkin with my pastry, with which I could "clean" my cutlery. *Wifi: after 5 attempts I just gave up. Worthless connection. Conclusion: this bakery undoubtedly delivers good products, but if you have a cup of coffee with pastry on the spot, there are a number of details where stitches are dropped. While as a customer you have to pay the full price. Could be much better!

Met mijn moeder, dochter en kleindochter daar geweest Heel vervelend om te horen dat personeel elkaar op de vingers wijst en op onvriendelijke toon bijna gebied om het, per ongeluk, vergeten kopje op te ruimen. Zeker geen professionele houding. Jammer …..

EET SMAKELIJK 😋 I say: just leggger. There's a great atmosphere here with seats by the fireplace, super nice staff and a selection so that you can't decide which one you want to take first when you have two items. Keep it up - a wonderful start to the day!

It either takes 15 minutes or 15 seconds to get some bread depending on elderly customers. There is no inbetween. Half of the time I just walk out after waiting for over five minutes!

Bakery / lunchroom. Delicious pie eaten with a cup of coffee and cappuccino. We were there early in the afternoon, so many were already sold out on Saturday afternoon, but the apricot pie and apricot pie with almond slivers were delicious.

You can enjoy a bite to eat at Voncken in Kerkrade center. Around 11 euros per person including drinks. The space is small but nice. Staff friendly. Toilet available. Parking is free for the first hour in Kerkrade.

In de pauze dachten wij even snel een broodje op het terras te kunnen gaan eten. Ten eerste duurde het 20 minuten voordat we ons drinken kregen. Vervolgens duurde het maar liefst 55 minuten voordat we 3 broodjes kregen. Personeel gaf aan dat er grote groepen binnen zaten. Echter waren deze groepen 30 minuten na ons binnen gekomen. In de pauze van een uur ons broodje binnen 5 minuten moeten opeten…

Goede verzorgde bakkerswinkel. Zeer de moeite waard om eens naar toe te gaan

Koop je een cake bij voncken Kerkrade centrum, je denkt dat ze daar vers vandaan komen. Maar helaas ,je kan beter nog een cake bij de supermarkt kopen, voordelig en vers.

Heerlijke Limburgse vlaai, kleine koffie corner met heerlijke airco. Vlaai rijstevlaai en Victoria waren geweldig.

We streken hier neer na onze vaccinatie in de nabijgelegen Rodahal. Op de menukaart zagen we het 'Twaalf-uurtje' staan, dat leek ons wel wat. Bij de bestelling aan de toonbank bleek echter dat het kwart voor twaalf was, en dus nog geen tijd voor het twaalfuurtje. Na wat gesoebat mocht het uiteindelijk toch. Persoonlijk zou ik als ik hen was daar nooit moeilijk over doen. Als het nu elf uur was, ja... maar een kwartiertje eerder, who cares. Enfin. Het restaurantdeel is erg gezellig, met wat zitjes bij het brandend haardvuur. Wat ons erg verbaasde is dat er helemaal niet naar een coronabewijs werd gevraagd... waarom zou dat hier niet gelden? Het Twaalfuurtje in kwestie viel tegen. De kroket had een taaie, helemaal niet knapperige korst. Brr. De tomatensoep leek uit een pak of blik te komen. Twee slappe boterhammen van de goedkoopste lichtbruine soort. Wat wel lekker was, was het kleine gebakje, hoewel we dat op zich weer niet bij een lunch vonden horen. Drinken was er niet bij inbegrepen, zodat we uiteindelijk voor twee personen toch nog 25 euro kwijt waren. Dat vonden we het eerlijk gezegd niet waard.

Als ik al naar de bakker ga , dan ga ik t liefste naar deze vestiging.
