Bakkerij Voncken - Vaals in Wijk 01 Vaals

The base of the pudding crumble pie is very dry and there is little pudding on the pie. Poor quality pie and expensive €16.30. Never again pie from Voncken after 2nd negative experience.

Today we wanted to sit on the terrace, but unfortunately we discovered that we had little time. I had already ordered from the ladies and paid. I told the lady to leave my sandwich in the plastic. My husband ordered coffee and I ordered an iced green tea. So we just sat there for a while. I thought I was going to eat the sandwich, but the lady from inside suddenly came out (while there were still several people sitting on the terrace) and loudly announced that I was not allowed to eat the sandwich on the terrace. I was taken aback and put it back in the bag. Strange afterwards because I had just paid and had a drink... So we won't sit there anymore. Very indecent to speak to someone like that on a fairly full terrace while I have simply paid

If you want to sit on a terrace for fifteen minutes on Easter Saturday without being able to order anything to eat or drink, then you've come to the right place.

Bought some delicious bread and sausage rolls

This morning my wife went to buy pies. Same experience as Dirk Suik, see further in the reviews. The lady in question is hard of hearing.

Today I bought 2 berliner, 2 stricke and 2 gebackjes with raisins, all of which were not from today, they were dry and hearty........why are they still being sold? It's not the first time it's happened, unfortunately

I ate sandwiches but they weren't really tasty and I also didn't find the service very friendly.

A somewhat grumpy woman served us with, in retrospect, not so tasty pie. I won't go there anymore.

We received very pleasant help on Saturday, June 8, so we went there on Sunday with 10 people to let everyone enjoy the high-quality products. And there was quite a girl who helped us. So bad that the 4 who arrived just a little later canceled their order. Such a pity.

Delicious products. We sat there and apparently we were already in the irritation zone with one of the ladies in the service. such a pity. The company itself has done well. Because of this lady I wouldn't sit there again.

Vlaai was great, service was pleasant and cheerful, I didn't think the store itself had a great atmosphere (too much "bling for my taste"), but nothing wrong with the product

Very difficult to pass judgment here, but do it anyway! With cherry pie it is always; Forewarned counts for 2!! I had visitors from Vaals and they brought a cherry pie from Voncken. After dinner a coffee with a point... I thought PLEASE NOTE, and yes, with the first bite I felt it crack in my mouth, thank God no molar was halved or crowned, thanks to a strong bridge!! This could have ended differently. It might be useful for the baker to put a small warning on the pastry box that there may still be cherry stones in the icing. You may not be aware of the risk with cherries!

Sandwiches way too expensive, 2nd bag of frozen rolls for half, is still 60% too much, good luck with the store

We got something here several times and had a delicious breakfast.

The cappuccino was watery, the mozzarella without balsamic vinegar, quite expensive.

Great friendly and helpful staff

We actually came here for rice custard but we were a bit late so unfortunately it was gone. Then we opted for these croissants filled with vanilla pudding and fruit and dusted with icing sugar. Was delicious! Friendly lady who served us too, very helpful! Visitors were also eating on site and looked nice.

Good bakery in the neighborhood

Good afternoon, I was satisfied with everything. Special thanks to the lovely ladies-sellers for the excellent service, but even then, having already walked around the city (beautiful Vaals), they did not refuse to let me into the MF, :).

Bakkerij Voncken is a place where I come every week for a cup of coffee or bread day on Wednesday. The business is well visited (especially on Tuesdays during the weekly market). The staff are very friendly and helpful. The business attracts many visitors and regular customers. The employer enjoys this immensely and probably thought he could quickly generate some profit before the end of this year, 2023, by increasing the price of the bread day from €9.45 to €9.99 (just €10). . The same employer promised last year, when the price of bread day was increased several times, that there would be no price increase in 2023. So Voncken bakery has ignored that promise because as far as I know, December is still part of 2023. The question arises whether the new price of €10 is still worth it for 4 loaves of bread. At various bakeries the prices are slightly lower. Conclusion: I will continue to come for a cup of coffee, but the new price for bread day is too high and the Voncken bakery will probably have one less customer soon. If a business does not keep its own promises, it is downright disappointing. This employer should have known better.

A really fantastic pace. Most friendly waiters, professionally dressed, with uniforms sparkling clean!! The food and coffee is of the highest standards! The atmosphere is so nice and charming. Wish there was a Bakkerij Voncken in every city!!

Except that there is little space inside, and just a little more outside. The coffee we drank there tasted great. On market day in Vaals, the sun and a cup of coffee with friends, what more could you want? A pastry, not for us, but that also tastes great.

Zeer mooie ingerichte bakkerij. Geweldig lekker meergranenbrood met zonnepitten. Ook mogelijkheid voor op terras te lunchen.

A good stocked bakery. It was closing by the time we reached there but the lady was kind enough to let us use the toilet even without a purchase. It was so sweet of her. We did buy some ice cream pastries which were scrumptious.

In de omgeving van het centrum van Vaals even geluncht bij Bakkerij Voncken. Rustige locatie met mooi terras. Er is zelfbediening van toepassing. De kroketjes en het soepje lieten even op zich wachten maar het resultaat was bijzonder goed!

Zeer breed assortiment brood en banket. Vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Mijn high tea bestelling was zeer goed verzorgd en slim ingepakt tegen beschadigen.

Gezellig terras en leuke plek om snel iets te eten voor een redelijke prijs. Goed verzorgd.

Heerlijke vla met koffie als aanbieding. Ook nog een goede warme bakker.

Prachrige zaak en vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk brood maar de luxe zoute koekjes waren helaas slof.

Info verkregen bestellen brood met folder. Woensdag brood dag vier broden voor acht euro mogen verschillende broden zijn dag van de voren bestellen.

Gezellig klein terras voor de winkel op een niet al te drukke plek. Ontbijt als lunch zijn uitstekend verzorgd. En dat alles voor een eerlijke prijs.

Heerlijk glutenvrij gebak. Prachtige taart hebben ze gemaakt voor onze zoon die 5 jaar geworden was, die overigens ook heerlijk was. Daarnaast ook erg vriendelijk personeel

Very tasty pastries. The "Belgische Appel" and "Tompouce" were good, the "Panino Taco" was my favorite, it was really good.

Via To good to go een box opgehaald. Was heerlijk brood en de chocoladecake was fantastisch! De lunchhoek zag er ook leuk uit, maar helaas kunnen we hier niet heen omdat de vakantie voorbij was. Zoiets zou top zijn bij ons op het dorp!
