Kickartz in Wijk 01 Vaals

We ate a freshly made minced meat sandwich and a schnitzel sandwich. The sandwiches were large, tasty and not expensive. What really bothered us were a number of large flies in the display case that were flying around busily. That is why we gave it 3 stars instead of 5 stars. You have to ask the shop assistant for the code for the toilet. There is a large parking lot for customers at the back.

It's a bakery. Not a lunchroom.

We always love having breakfast there. Unfortunately, there's always someone sitting there (usually in the same spot) who smells really bad. You can't eat anything within 5 meters of this person because it makes you sick. I can't understand how this person is still allowed in there. I already know several people who have stopped coming into the store because of this person. Simply disgusting! It has nothing to do with discrimination! But unfortunately, this is completely unacceptable! We should think about fixing this problem!

What a choice of pastries and sandwiches with something to drink. It's a pity that the service is not really friendly, probably due to the boss who spoils the atmosphere with his directive management style. A leadership course in 2025 will do him good. l

Had a delicious breakfast with the 3 of us. Good breakfast with croissants, rolls, ham, jam, coffee, tea, etc. Enough choice and not expensive. Highly recommended

Breakfast still tasty, but more expensive. Downside is that the door doesn't close properly, which means it always gets cold during breakfast.

The baked goods were delicious, but the service was not good, the older, dark-haired lady smeared her nose with her hand beforehand and then gave me the cakes without at least washing her hands and then my mother and my children got their cocoa lukewarm. I'm very sorry to have to say this, but I come here for breakfast very often, but the young staff who usually served me didn't look at me so condescendingly and served this lady I was very sad today I'm 40 years old and wanted to show my family today how great you can eat here, but I was very disappointed by this unhygienic sight And I've never seen that here in all my years

Unfortunately the sellers are very unfriendly and super unprofessional. The looks, the quiet whispers and the cheeky answers from those who think you don't understand them. The food is delicious and the selection is great, but the competition is at least as good and the staff shines elsewhere. Kick doctor on the border with Vaals should conduct employee interviews, her behavior towards customers is subterranean!!!!!!

Obtained Oliebollen, very poor quality. 2 euros each, really not worth it. Very unfortunate

What unfriendly staff. Woman with short red hair is just standing in the shop arguing with us. Totally rude. Other people in the business agreed with us and have experienced this before. We left the sandwich and left.

What a stress-buster, that man behind the counter. I had neatly taken a number, then he starts shouting that it is my turn. There were 5 more customers ahead of me. Very strange. By the way, pastries are not to be desired, even the pastries from the supermarket are tastier.

Schwarzbrot in the attached photo was purchased barely two days ago at Kickartz. I noticed that there was no expiration date on the packaging. We got rude service for free.

Friendly service. Delicious sandwiches and cookies. Definitely worth considering if you want something to eat in Vaals. Also to take away or eat there. Dutch was a bit difficult, but with good will on both sides no problem.

Dirty service, capuccino only consisted of foam, when we complained she shouted loudly through the shop: You have to stir sometimes, there's coffee underneath, it doesn't work at all. We won't be coming back.

Unfortunately it's not as good as I remember the store. There was hardly any cake on offer at lunchtime at 2:00 a.m. and a rude waitress who didn't want to sell me half a plum cake. I then went over to the competition and was still able to get what I wanted.

What an incredibly grumpy lady was behind the counter this afternoon. The prices were missing for many products, our son wanted to ask what something cost, the lady in question said first take a number! We said "we did that", "well what do you want to ask then"? she said. Well, what a tone, not to be done. The coffee was also lukewarm and not tasty, no coffee taste. Such a shame, because we had warm memories of this case. We will never come here again!

I spent a morning at this café and enjoyed a sandwich, while my friends ordered cake and coffee. It was a great place to spend time. The only problem was parking, which was limited, so I had to park elsewhere.

Since you have to take numbers there and the parking lot is no longer used, it's no longer the same as it used to be. However, the unfriendliness of some of the employees has not changed. I've been coming at least 3 times a week for more than 20 years. But probably not for long.

Very tasty products! Nice employees and pleasant atmosphere. No wonder that a German bakery can hold its own in the Netherlands. However, not everyone can do this - see recently the closure of the German bakery Nobis opposite.

Great products, very nice employees, but to my regret I have to say that dogs are tolerated there, which I don't think is normal for a food producer!!!

Not a single (!) dairy alternative. For a chain that‘s pretty embarrassing. I don’t expect a whole menu of dairy alternatives, but for a pretty busy bakery/ café chain in 2024, that shouldn’t be too hard to manage. Won’t be coming again, since I can’t drink coffee in this café anyway.

Very good bakery with variety of options for breakfast/brunch. The sandwiches I tried so far were all good and delicious. The service is good in general; however, the waiting time to get an order can be long on weekends, especially on Sunday.

What incredibly rude staff here. They first give priority to all people who come later. If no one is there, they start talking to each other. They don't seem to speak Dutch either. To make matters worse, their products are also nothing special

What a gold mine this place is! I've had breakfast here a number of times. Very tasty! An opportunity that is also recommended for other people. I hope that this bakery will expand further in the Netherlands. That would be a great idea! :)

Super nice service, who responded to every single one of our wishes and didn't even charge anything extra. And this despite the fact that breakfast is inexpensive anyway. We were there on a Sunday and there were a lot of guests there. Nevertheless, the service seemed relaxed and took their time with each guest. The breakfast was also super tasty, always a pleasure :)

Nice cozy place. Very quiet in the early morning and especially on Monday morning when Vaals wakes up. It is very busy on Tuesdays during the weekly market. Also delicious German pastries. The atmosphere is always relaxed. Just do it!

A place with absolutely good and friendly staff, but no table service and visitors like to stay for hours after dining. So you often have to wait at the bar with your order until everything is cold on a table that becomes available.

Dienstags immer ein muss, erst bei Kickartz lecker Frühstücken, sehr freundliches Personal, alles wird nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Danach zum Markt und der Tag ist gerettet.😅🤣😎

Het was er om 11 uur 's morgens al druk, de broodjes waren lekker, goed belegd en zeker niet duur. Veel waar voor het geld, de bediening was snel, maar helaas niet vriendelijk. Een gemiste kans, anders was het zeker 5 sterren.

De gebakjes bij deze bakkerij zijn heerlijk, maar de bediening is ronduit onvriendelijk. De medewerkers zijn kortaf, onattent en soms zelfs brutaal. Dit is jammer, want de gebakjes zijn echt een aanrader. Als je op zoek bent naar een heerlijke snack, is dit zeker een goede plek om te gaan. Maar als je op zoek bent naar een gastvrije ervaring, raad ik je aan om ergens anders naartoe te gaan.

Bakkerij Kickartz aan de Maastrichterlaan in Vaals. Is de plek waar ik het liefst mijn broodjes haal. Vriendelijk personeel en heerlijke broodjes, brood en gebak. Voor toeristen en vele buren uit Aken is dit ook de plek om 's morgens en 's middags een broodje of gebakje met koffie te gaan drinken. Het is er altijd gezellig druk en men is altijd even vriendelijk.

Heerlijke bakkerij met lekker oberlander brood. Rij hier 1x per 2 maanden heen voor brood en taart.

Sehr großes Angebot an Backwaren. Habe mich in das Brot mit eingebackenen Pfeffer in der Kruste verliebt.preise sehr human.personal sehr freundlich.

Verrukkelijke broodjes en heel gezellig om te zitten . Wel druk op zondag maar je bent toch snel aan de beurt. Een aanrader👍

Schöne, gemütliche Bäckerei. 2 Außenterrassen und 1 großer Innenraum. Super freundliches Personal. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis gut und lecker. Gehen gerne dorthin und fühlen uns wohl 👍🤗

Super Bäckerei. Leckeres Essen. Viele schöne Sitzplätze. Jetzt noch Hafermilch und ich bin glücklich. 😉 Sagen immer, sie hätten keine, weil zu wenig Nachfrage. Einfach mal anschaffen und anbieten würde ich sagen. Dann kommt schon die Nachfrage.

Zijn hier nu al een paar keer terugkomen. We vinden de broodjes en gebak echt heerlijk.
