Bakkie 040 in Oud-Strijp

The coffee is delicious and the staff member was very friendly and helpful. You can sit there comfortably and chat or do some work. There is a relaxed atmosphere. Croissant very tasty! Order coffee at the bar and they will bring it to your table.

I understand the intention behind the reusable cup system, but it simply doesn’t work well for customers who aren’t regular visitors. I don’t live nearby and don’t plan to come back just because I had to purchase a cup. So now I will throw away 4 cups I had to pay for, so it creates unnecessary inconvenience. On top of that, they didn’t have lids, which made carrying a takeaway coffee really difficult. Sustainability is important, but takeaway options also need to be practical for customers. Knowing that not all customers are regulars, you are creating more trash. Edit: introduce a payed cup return option so we are not stuck with unnecessary cups.

Everything tasted fresh, and the staff were warm and welcoming. Cozy atmosphere that’s perfect for a relaxing coffee break.

Their opening times are really unclear. When they are supposed to be open (according to Google) - they are not. I encountered it already several times. Coffee - 5 stars🌟, they really do make great coffee. But being closed all the time really ruins it for me🫤 So 3 stars in total for the lack of organisation.

Came here after seeing all the great Google reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the expectations. I ordered an iced matcha latte, which was below average; it was way too sweet and the matcha flavor itself was barely there. I got a cookie, but it didn't taste fresh at all. Nothing extraordinary.

One of my fav of the city. Besides of being good quality coffee you also get the happiness of supporting a lovely project for people with no roof ❤️ Best dirty chai latte and always received with a smile and on top they have some chairs outside on sun y days.

Really surprised by this experience. The café wasn’t even busy, but we still waited more than 25 minutes for just two coffees. After we asked about our order, the staff had to ask us three different times what we had ordered, which was frustrating. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice, so I don’t want to be unfair, but for €10 for two coffees, I honestly expected much better service.

If you’re in Eindhoven, do yourself a favor and stop by Bakkie040. The service is exceptional. There’s real passion behind the counter, and it shows in every detail. Places like this are rare. Highly recommended.

It's been a long time since I've had such a good experience at a restaurant. Hostess and baker Claudia (always with a big smile) creates a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere, making it a wonderful place to enjoy a cup of tea. And don't forget to order a delicious slice of cake.

First, coffee is great. But the real treasure are the sweets! I couldn’t decide so I got three different ones and took them home. The cinnamon croissant pudding was an absolute heaven, the orange loaf with rosemary was one of the best I ever had, moist, crumbly, just enough sweet but too much and pairing it with rosemary brings it to the skies, and finally the butter cookie with white chocolate and berries gave me the comfort of my favorite cookie but with a beautiful twist where the berries create the perfect sweet tart balance. Important to add, the sweets are made in the house! And the staff is also amazing, very friendly and attentive. Overall great experience!

Joke... I totally don't understand so many positive reviews. I was there today, September 6th, around 2:00 PM. The cappuccino was €4. It was warm milk. Stirring it, you could already tell something was wrong. The milk was weak and very poorly frothed. The coffee was barely noticeable. The coffee cookie was dry and bland. A piece of cake for €4.50, supposed to have chocolate and pistachio, had absolutely no flavor. We weren't even served water with our coffee. I visited four cafes in Eindhoven during the week, and the coffee was cheaper and delicious everywhere. For me, I wasted €17 for two people.

Delicious cup of coffee, value for money!!!

It's my ultimate place for coffee, I love to go there, not only for the coffee, but workers are amazing to talk with, they're so friendly and this is just... the go-to place for me. Yesterday! I had the banana bread there and omg, it was actually amazing, their pastry, sandwiches and toast is so good, I highly recommend to go here for breakfast, and lunch. Keep it up everyone!

After paying €3.50 for a coke, the waitress put it down on the corner of the table with her hand in the glass... a bit of a shame.

I recently visited Bakkie 40 in the charming district Stripe S. I ordered a Double Espresso (Doppio), and I was thoroughly impressed. The coffee had wonderful fruity notes, pronounced acidity, and a soft, smooth finish that was truly enjoyable. The café's design is quite interesting and unique, making it a pleasant place to relax. The staff were friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive experience. Inside, the café was comfortably air-conditioned, and there is a summer terrace offering a great view. However, there are a few areas for improvement. It would be great to have a selection of different coffee beans to choose from. Additionally, the selection of treats was not very extensive. You can check them in the photos. Overall, a great spot for coffee lovers in a great neighborhood!

Super leuk plekje om een bakkie koffie te doen op Strijp-S! Personeel is heel vriendelijk en er hangt een relaxte sfeer. Wij hadden koffie besteld met een tosti. Tosti was lekker en kregen zelfs een kopje erbij van het huis. Bakkie troost is een super mooi initiatief!

We had breakfast a few times here. An amazing and warm atmosphere. we tried the coffee, all tosties (i love the one with walnuts and pear jam) and cakes. Everything was really tasty and fresh. Definitely recommended!

Vriendelijk personeel en lekkere koffie. Wel arelaxt dat de deur open blijft/staat. Iedereen zit met de jas aan binnen (en ik had het alsnog koud) daarbij ook niet erg energie besparend.

Loved getting a cup of coffee here with my friend ! The interior is really cute, everyone was absolutely lovely and I’m so happy to see the „bakkie trost“ where you can pay forward a cup of coffee for someone in need.
