Very good fish and friendly people. The salmon belly is definitely recommended, as is the herring.

What has been there for 80 years is a wonderful fish shop and has been in the capable hands of a friendly couple for 20 years now. People are still people there and only then customers. The fish is of excellent quality and the people behind the counter are friendly. The fishmonger knows the names of people who often come by to order! Exceptionally good memory and extremely friendly. Really recommended! Really historic! Really cozy!

Today we moored our boat at the Kelderwindkade in Haarlem. It smelled delicious of fried fish. We immediately crossed over and bought two sandwiches with herring and freshly fried cod with sauce. Delicious! We will definitely come back.

Once again we had a delicious lunch at, in my opinion, the best fish joint in Haarlem and the surrounding area. I particularly enjoyed the warm salmon belly sandwich, the herring sandwich was also very popular. Absolutely recommended!

purely Dutch tent for great bickering! thin crispy layer also super tender and soft on the inside. the owners are also super customer friendly to all their customers: whether they are new or permanent. highly recommended if you want to experience the authentic atmosphere. next time I will come again :)

Das Personal ist flott, aber trotzdem sehr freundlich und hat Zeit mit jedem Kunden noch etwas zu plaudern. Das Essen ist wirklich smakelijk (lecker) und dennoch recht günstig. Mit Blick auf die Grachten lässt es sich genießen.

We’ve been buying our Friday ‘twee kibbeling, één saus’ from Philip en Chantal for a few years now. Always fresh, always friendly (how they remember all the locals orders is impressive in itself), always lekker. A real part of the community and without doubt, the best fish in town. Életem egyik legjobb élményét adta a kedves tulajdonos és a kiszolgáló lányok. A gyermekem legénybúcsúján jártunk ott. A tulaj egy tréfás telefonhívással okozott meglepetést és kellemes meglepetést. Ettől függetlenül is határozottan mondom hogy a világon,de európában biztosan a legjobb legfinomabb halas szendvicsét adják. Mindenkit biztatok hogy ide térjen be és lakjon jól a halas finomságokból. Vandaag op 1 april maar weer eens 2 heerlijke haringen gehaald en gegeten bij Balk aan t Spaarne, altijd super kwaliteit. En zeker ook de gerookte zalm of de file van de gerookte makreel die ik ook wel eens gehaald en gegeten heb. Jammer dat je een tijdje dicht gaat, sterkte met t herstel van je knie. Groet Peter

Erg smakelijke vis, met idem lekker sauzen. Misschien ook nog de lekkerste van Amsterdam e.o. Parkeren is soms een dingetje,dus goed opletten.

Ideal place to enjoy lunch or enjoy a tasty snack when on the go. I am a such a big fan of the kibbling here. It's so delicious, it's not greasy or fatty. It's one of my favourite places to go for kibbling. There are very few places that can compare. The scenery is beautiful on top of everything. Just grab a stand or seat on one of the benches, relax and embrace the beautiful view for a short moment.

Dit is ons favoriete lunch adres: net wéér verse zalmsalade, haring salade, makreel salade, verse makreel en lekkere verse haringen Je hebt dan complete lunch, maar het smaakt alsof je drie gebakjes zit te eten. In één woord voortreffelijk!

Sabía que quería probar comer un arenque por la cola poco después de llegar a Haarlem. Nuestro anfitrión es un local que me dirigió a este pez que ha estado a lo largo de las orillas del río Spaarne durante más de 30 años. Aprendí de nuestro anfitrión que las cebollas (y los encurtidos) no son necesarios para saborear el mejor arenque, y es verdad. El primer bocado fue un sabor nuevo y extraño, pero mordisco a bocado se hizo más sabroso y sabroso. Mi esposa no se atrevió a probarlo, pero se fue a picar, que es pequeños trozos de bacalao fritos.
