We were visiting Amsterdam as tourists from England and found this patisserie to be excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the selection of patisserie is wonderful and all of the ones we tried were absolutely delicious. Very reasonably priced too, we would highly recommend Rijkhoff.

I have been a customer at Rijkhoff Banketbakker for over 20 years, but unfortunately, I have to conclude that the quality has declined significantly lately. The last few times I bought tompoezen, they tasted burnt and were much sweeter than before. The strawberry tart was sometimes much too hard. The marzipan cake is also no longer what it once was: less airy and not like what I was used to for years. It seems that quality has been compromised under the new owners. That is very disappointing, especially for a pastry shop that was known for years for excellent pastries and consistent quality.

Still one of the best pastry shops in Amsterdam and the surrounding area. The basic pastries, such as the tompoezen, are also very well made with good ingredients and are incredibly fresh.

I regularly get my cakes here, including for work, and am normally satisfied. However, the last time I was there, I noticed that an employee had very long nails and came into contact with the whipped cream. For a patisserie, I find that neither hygienic nor professional. I hope that this will be addressed so that quality and hygiene remain guaranteed.

Cookies, cakes, pastries, and very friendly staff. Always nice to get something tasty to go with your coffee. Go take a look; they definitely have something delicious for you!

We had a whipped cream cake with marzipan around it. The cake could have been a bit lighter, but what we felt could have been different is that the marzipan on the cake should have been thinner. That would have made it a bit more refined in terms of taste as well. Otherwise, it was fine.

Our office is nearby, so we order from here for every event. Incredibly delicious pastries. I can recommend it. I thought 7 euros for 2 orange tompouces was a bit pricey, but they do have the best tompouces I have ever had.

We always get our pastries here and have been satisfied for years, but this time we were truly pleasantly surprised. We had ordered 15 pastries and picked them up the next day. After picking them up, we went grocery shopping and placed the large box on the stroller. Maneuvering with a double stroller can be quite tricky sometimes… and unfortunately, things went wrong: the box fell to the ground. When we looked outside, the pastries turned out to be completely squashed, really one big mush. We went back to the store and honestly explained what had happened. To our surprise, we were given a whole new box of pastries and didn't have to pay anything for it. Now that is real service and customer friendliness! You come here not only for delicious pastries, but also for the warm and helpful service. Highly recommended!

Rijkhof Amsterdam recently changed owners, and unfortunately, it shows. The once superb chocolate truffle cake has been ruined with overly sweet and hard decorations. Once the best truffles in Amsterdam are now made of average chocolate, too sweet, and completely lacking in subtlety. The "bokkepoten"—which not so long ago belonged to the absolute top tier of pastries—are a disaster: the soft, crispy almond pastry and quality chocolate have been replaced by cheap ingredients, resulting in a rock-hard cookie that you could get even tastier at Albert Heijn for half the price. It makes you want to cry if you appreciate good pastries.

When you step in it feels already a bit posh but also local as I feel like the refrigerator choatic and not really organized but as it is self service it is more comfort instead of service focused. The back is where it is made what feels very local produced and artisan. enviroment feels modern luxury but not there yet so feels cold. 2-/10 The service is high, friendly and professional but also feels like going into a old local shop where people know eachother and feels like they will ask the same and talk about your private life. 3-/10 The cake. It amaze me that I have not visit or hear more about this place as the balance in the cake is really good with suprising element like I got the mango cake and got some coconut shavings what brings another texture to the cake. The sweetness level is good, as most cake are so over sweet or so much cake that after few bites you don't want it anymore. 3+/10 Price is good as it is not located fully in the city centre and serve I suppose more local people neighbourhood instead of even whole city. Price quality is good. 2.5/10 Will I come back for sure, if there is something special that I want to bring back or in the neighbourhood.

I visited the aforementioned store. There were three saleswomen present at the time. Two were helping a customer, and one was standing in the back chatting with other employees. I literally waited five minutes to pay. The saleswoman chatting in the back saw me several times but ignored me. At that point, I left the products at the cash register and left. Apparently, chatting with the employees was more important than selling the products.

It's a shame you didn't want to cut the apple pie for the camera during the Kesbeke family's "Keep Eating with Me Vips" broadcast. It would have been a great advertisement for your wonderful bakery. I just found it shameful and not very customer-friendly. Sometimes it's that little bit extra that makes the difference.

The place in the West for pastries! My favorites here are the Turkish cake and the strawberry tart.

I used to come here a lot as a child. Back then, you could walk through to the seating area and enjoy a drink and a snack/pastry. It's a shame that's no longer there. A real loss. But that's probably due to the cost. After that, I occasionally got pastries here. The fruit tart is no longer in the selection. The pastries have also gotten smaller and more expensive. But where else is that these days? The service is always friendly, though. When the weather is nice (like during the heatwave), it's best not to get pastries: the filled cookie fell apart from the heat when I picked it up, and the box my pastries came in went soggy. The pastries taste slightly better than at other bakeries, but not by much. If you want a fresh tart, you have to get it from the refrigerator. Be sure to check carefully, as some can be expired.

Last Saturday I ordered a cake with the theme Hajj from you. I was helped by two employees, and it was discussed that I would send the desired text to prevent spelling mistakes. The plan was clear: the text at the top, an image of the Kaaba in the middle and the name at the bottom. The image was from the store itself, which I agreed to. To my disappointment, I eventually received a cake without an image and without a name. Although I had no other choice at that time than to take the cake with me in an adapted form, I would like to express my displeasure about this, and that is putting it mildly. In addition, the font was not as we had agreed. The example image that I had seen on Saturday was also more beautiful and more carefully finished than the final cake. What I received looked simple and hastily replaced. Although I sincerely understand that mistakes can be made, this does not detract from my disappointment. The fact that I had to drive back and forth for such a simple cake and that the end result was still not as expected means that I will unfortunately no longer place orders with you. The situation really disappoints me to a great extent. It is an important day for us and that cake really detracts from it. I just wanted to get this off my chest. Not just to complain, but because I hope that lessons will be learned from it. Customer satisfaction is important, especially on such special occasions.

This place was actually so good and the price was so worth it! I got an apple pie from them and turned out to be the best I had so far! Sorry no pic cause i destroyed the looking of it when i carried the pie around.

Unlike Jot down here, I got a pecan pie as a treat. I was sold after the first bite! I am a fan of Boheemen Den Haag, but I have now found a wonderful alternative thanks to this generous treat from a family member. I will come by soon! Recommended!

Been coming here for years. A fantastic range of delicious pastries, with the caramel puff pastry as a favourite. The friendly service makes every visit a party. An absolute must for any sweet tooth! :)

Got a small cake as a treat, like an Amsterdam house of chocolate...but when I took a bite of the top, I had a mouth full of TOO sweet strawberry jam......disgusting Too bad for the cake and the person who got it. But it ended up in the trash after 2 bites

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The cakes and pastries are very tasty and fresh. I needed a small cake and even though they don't normally sell them separately, the employee was so attentive to arrange something for me. Really nice service that shows that they think along with you!

What happened to Rijkhoff? I've been coming there for years but you can't order large whipped cream cakes for a while, only 1 size. Last time I ordered cake, it was so dry that it was inedible. After complaining, I did get my money back. But it's not like it used to be! I won't be going there anymore 4 years ago: The best cakes. Deliciously fresh and friendly people.

In 1979 I started working on BoLo at GAK. A regular custom at birthdays was cake from Rijkhoff. I have been visiting the area regularly for some time now and I can't resist buying a few pastries there. Range has changed over the years but still great. And the staff is also great!

The best of Amsterdam if you ask me. I come here for almost 12 years. Never disappoints. Everything looks amazing, Everything is fresh and amazingly tasty -that is not very common these days for A LOT of other patisseries

Went by on Friday for pastries, the pastry shop has very good cakes and pastries, for me it is number 1 in the Netherlands, especially their moor heads are divine, but recently I was not treated well by the cashier, she had me close the door behind me. I personally don't think you can say this to your customer.

Tasty pastries, a bit of standard pastries and tarts. It could be a little more contemporary, a little more variety in flavors. But this is of course my opinion.

Walked past the shop during the week and their cakes looked delicious. I placed an order on Thursday afternoon and paid online. Pickup Friday before they closed was easy. The cakes were soooo good that I ate 3 Friday when I came home 🫣🤭😋

The pastries are so tasty and high quality. I don't easily give 5* but this is really worth it! I tasted 2 pastries. The mango slipper: soft bavarois with a fruity mango center and underneath a classic slipper dough and some coconut chips. I shouldn't have had them. Pastry 2: extremely airy, soft and smooth vanilla mousse with a center of raspberry flavor explosion and the base is made of white chocolate with cornflakes, GENUINE!!!!

Hun chocoladegebak is niet lekker. Gewoon geen chocolade smaak hoe gek dat ook mag klinken. Macarons zijn duur. Lekkere koekjes. Fruitig gebak erg lekker. Top personeel. Zeer vriendelijk.

Rijkhoff is geen banket/bakkerij meer maar een Patisserie waar nog steeds heerlijk gebak van weleer gemaakt wordt + meer. Alleen is het jammer dat de ingrediënten van de Caramelslof wel veranderd zijn.
