Every now and then on Saturdays I call for the delicious pastries. When I speak to Babette or Jinte on the phone, they immediately recognize me by name, which I find so nice and thoughtful. Very customer-friendly and service-oriented. Thank you ladies!! So I also love coming here for bread and delicious pastries 😍

I think this bakery has the best brownies in Haarlem. And in winter, few bakeries even come close to the quality of their speculaas fillings. I've read some criticism about Tompoucen, which is surprising, because in my opinion, they're also quite good.

Great pastry chef. They don't use pork gelatin in their pastries. The pastries and bread are delicious, by the way. Highly recommended!

Every week I get a fruit shell for my sister and me. The apple and nut pastries are also delicious, and I now regularly bring them home for my colleagues who order them from me. Always delicious, fresh pastries, and I count myself lucky to live nearby. The atmosphere, the service from the exceptionally friendly ladies and gentleman! Highly recommended 👍

A chipolata cake costing over 3 euros. The cake was stale and had fondant instead of marzipan—yuck! The chocolate cake was also very mediocre. I won't be getting any cakes from here again!

I've had several special cakes made for special birthdays. The attention and love put into the marzipan flowers and the cake itself was fantastic. The multi-tiered cakes were fantastic. And anything is possible! Kudos to Rene.

tompoes for 4 euros each because the baker has to be there early... should you have learned another trade? response to feedback, 30 hours of physical exertion and then participating in traffic, class!

Very good bakery with exceptional service and very child-friendly!

There is not much competition in the neighborhood, but quality of bread here is really nothing to write home about. It’s not much different from deka or AH, always cold but prices like in a proper bakery. I still buy bread and pastry in the city center as quality matches the price. It would be wonderful if here they improved the game as it’s shame when there is no place to buy tasty fresh bread in the whole district. (As a response to below comment: Oscar’s , can Vessems have it fresh and warm in the mornings :( )

Friendly service from the staff. I ordered three pastries, 2x with chocolate and 1x with cheese. All very tasty, but a bit cold. It would be a solid 5 ⭐'s if they were warm!

The pastry was ice cold and there wasn't much choice and the filled cakes had hardly any food, overall not very tasty. It was also very expensive

Traditional neighborhood pastry and bread bakery. Bought tompouce on King's Day. Four for 15 euros is quite a lot of money for a mediocre pastry. The cream is watery without vanilla and the pale yellow icing is tasteless. The tompouce looked nicely finished. And you can't say that about the store. Shame.

The cheese croissant is wonderful and traditionally made.

Very bad experience today, ordered Christmas cake 5 days ago, came this morning, oh sorry, given to someone else ?.?? But you can whip up a new one within 10 minutes🤔🤔🤔🤔 €30 for a shitty cake, sorry, really quick.? But for 9 people? If it was half as small as the box it was in, we will definitely never come here again, except at Hema, such a shame

€2.70 for 1 tompouce and then you don't even get vanilla in your pastry cream. You can't taste it (not): a mediocre six. (Also sesame seeds on the croissants, what a taste ruiner).
