Very large dining room always seems to have room, even if a large group. Excellent high quality lunches at reasonable prices. Quite amazing in this location. Lovely. Great coffee too.

I went into what seemed to be a lovely place to have a coffee. I had low battery and asked if I could charge my phone. They said they were not allowed to accept but that they had power banks for 2 euros. Annoying, but I understood. One of the waitresses showed me the way to the power banks and just told me to put my card against the machine, and I had my power bank. Very, very bad surprised when I left 1 hour and a half later and realised it had charged me 12 euros !!!!!!!!!!!!! Very disappointed that they misled me and did not explain that it would charge me that much. They just said 2 euros. And I later saw on the machine that you had options to choose from (30 min vs full day etc.) but I was not told this. Therefore, i would not come again, although I enjoyed the coffee.

We ordered fresh ginger tea. It wasn't presented very well; it was a stick with three ginger pieces on it. The hot water had cooled down considerably, so there wasn't much ginger flavor. The lunch of tomato soup, dark brown bread with croquettes, and egg was very tasty. We sat on the terrace, where it was a bit of a squeeze to find the right seats. The tables and chairs were quite close together.

Great place, croquettes with bread, just the way they should be, just good bread, no thick piles, butter is at room temperature. And delicious croquettes and mustard.

The main course was good. The dessert wasn't good, way too sour for a cheesecake. We had to wait an incredibly long time, and the staff didn't speak Dutch.

Very disappointed. I lot of misstates on our orders. Order water with ice and lemon, they brought only water, we asked for a pancakes with syrup, but got pancakes with jam and a lot of berries, which had too much flavour for little kid. I ordered salad with sauce on the side and extra chicken as I just wanted plain salad with chicken, but got very small portion and everything mixed up. Aswell started came last one and not what we ordered. So we asked to take it back.

I'd been in Amsterdam for a few weeks, and feeling homesick, I was drawn to the limoncello night at this place. It felt like I was spending an evening in Italy, a top venue, and Alex is the absolute best. I recommend this place to anyone looking for an Italian night out in Amsterdam.

I sat down somewhere and two employees approached me, looking like I was a criminal, and rudely asked me to sit by the window. I see other customers have experienced this. It's just plain antisocial behavior from the staff!

Delicious breakfast, fresh orange juice, great vibe, friendly service! We got Croque Madame and the Early Bird breakfast. Everything was fresh and delicious. I recommend this place.

A restaurant on the Rokin. Normally not the area where I choose restaurants to eat. It is a large restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. The food is surprisingly good. The dishes were neatly presented and tasteful. My hamburger was juicy and tasty. You have a menu that is available all day for 44.50. You can put together the menu yourself. You can also choose breakfast, brunch and lunch dishes separately. Highly recommended and the prices are not absurdly high and certainly not for the center of Amsterdam. Dessert for about 15 euros is expensive, but nicely presented and tasty. They also have a terrace outside. Parking is expensive and difficult.

we would like to thank the establishment for its nice food and service. From the moment we walked in the service was very very pleasant and the staff were incredibly friendly! Certainly I must say that this visit was a nice little highlight of the trip I was giving to my Spanish friends. The ambient inside was charming to say the least, with a nice vibe of both cozy and elegance. Now, the true highlight of our visit must be the food and the service: our waitress genuinely went above and beyond with her service in every possible way by offering explanations of the dishes and reccomending us the newly added dish (mussles!). I do think that it may be rare to encounter such nice and enthusiastic hospitality in Amsterdam, especially since this place gets quite busy at times. As for the food, the ceasar salad was probably the best I’ve had as it had a loooot of protein in it, and a nice twist including anchovies. Crisp lettuce, generius, balanced dressing with croutons and parmesan certainly did add a lot crunch to the dish which was received by surprise to me. And for dessert, I’ve had the Dame Blanche which was a divine intervention for me! The vanilla ice cream and the velvety chocolate sauce reminded me of my childhood days of being carefree, and reminded me of how powerful a well-executed dessert can be despite being simple. Lastly, the beer was also nice and perfectly poured. The flavors complimented the food and had a very nice mango taste to it (unfortunately I forgor which one I got) but all in all we left Het Groene Paleis not only full but super happy. It’s the kind of place where you can see that the staff morale is very high and where the experience complimebts the taste in a lot of ways. I willcbe taking all my friends here <3

Last Thursday we had a great meal. We had a pita Cajun chicken and a flammkuchen margharita. Unfortunately, the Cajun spices had flown over the chicken and the flammkuchen had rocket instead of basil (as indicated on the menu). Perhaps that is something to adjust on the menu. The various staff members who helped us often walked past, without asking if it tasted good or if we wanted something to drink. It is very difficult to speak to the staff yourself, given the music was very loud. Furthermore, the staff was friendly.

Karima was excellent. She treated us wonderfully. The place is delightful, fast-paced, and comfortable for both kids and adults. We loved it!

I went yesterday with colleagues during lunch break. The waiter was rude and not great at communicating. Each interaction required each one of us to ask for clarifications because he wasn't clear and he looked pretty annoyed by it. The background music was loud. The salmon was incredibly salty

Nice terrace and good food. However, I found the service to be substandard. An employee accidentally dropped a bottle of Liefmans over my white shoes, making my shoe more red than white. Unfortunately, the spots are still slightly visible. The employee only gave a few napkins, which was not enough. The table remained dirty and I had to ask another employee to clean it. Nothing else was offered — no apology, no free drink, nothing at all. For me it's not about the money, it's about the principle of good service. That really disappointed me.

Scandalous treatment on April 5 around 5:00 PM. We arrived at Het Groene Paleis while there were a number of empty tables (terrace). The blonde employee with long hair greeted us, and we politely said that we only wanted something to drink. Her response: “Just drinking, hmm…” with a clear look of irritation. She then pretended that she had to “look” for a free table, while even a blind person could have pointed out the empty tables. She was clearly not amused that we weren't coming to eat. Incredibly rude and not hospitable at all. We also told her that this is antisocial behavior. Shame on you. Not everyone has to have lunch or dinner to be welcome somewhere. In any case, we will never come back!

The food was good, the attention of the service was a bit less, the order was accepted correctly but not delivered correctly, 1 glass of wine for 2 people and 3 main courses for 2 people is quite strange, right?

Service was slecht. Na het opnemen van de bestelling heeft het 45 minuten geduurd voor we onze drankjes kregen. Het eten was er eerder dan de drankjes. Zat geen smaak aan het eten. Bediening keek ons aan maar kwam niet kijken of alles naar wens was. Nadat we ons eten op hadden kwamen dan eindelijk de drankjes. Deze snel opgedronken en de rekening gevraagd. Ook dit duurde 10 minuten aangezien we het aan de ene serveester vroegen maar die niet met de rekening kwam. Uiteindelijk iemand anders aangesproken en betaald en snel weggegaan hier. Wij komen hier nooit meer.

Absolutly lovely little hidden gem. Found it almost by accident. Was look for somewhere nice to have a drink and saw this. Was truly surprised. Lovely atmosphere. Staff super friendly. A good priced pint of beer is not overpriced compared to other places in the same area. Food is absolutely spot on. Huge portions. Really lovely place
