Epic bar on the water, tasty meat balls and extremely fun.

It can be very crowded but it's more of a student bar

Very unfriendly staff. They really serve extremely small amounts if you don't tip them. Also misogynistic. Definitely don't go here for a drink. I really had a bad experience with this. I even reported it to the bar and was treated rudely. If you like a student atmosphere where you pay way too much for little, with misogynistic bar staff, then this is your place! As an Amsterdammer, I think this bar does not live up to its name… Tip: hire bar staff who know how to pour a beer and pour a glass of wine and who know what a normal amount is. Another tip: get bar staff that are friendly ;) Furthermore, the bouncer was friendly, but that's the only thing... and you don't go to a bar for that. All the reviews about bad bouncers make no sense. My husband and I were treated nicely and kindly. If I have my way, fire the bar staff and hire bar staff who know their stuff.

My original statement: "The guy at the door didn't let in, only girls. Seems a bit arrogant", I stand by it. The vibe that is mentioned is a bit subjective, the bouncer letting other people after us proves our point, the guy reads faces ?. I guess you have more care about responding to Google reviews than talking with clients face to face, using personality judgements arguments like "positive people" to make our arguments seem like that they don't matter and looking good for the remaining maps audience 👏. We probably weren't high profile enough to enter. That's why we expressed our resentment with the decision by the bouncer, it's our right to have opinions and to express them.

We went to Shaffy’s on the Friday and Saturday night and enjoyed the bitterballen, was amazing, the staff are awesome and attentive, would definitely go again, really lovely place

Was in this bar a few times over the weekend whilst visiting Amsterdam. Gret bar, brilliant staff and great food. Will definitely be returning here.

we were there in the evening, not recommended! Extremely crowded, loud and chaotic. We were harassed by a man several times. The shots were overpriced and not exactly tasty.

Went out there quick cuz it was really full but a nice vibe, there was some guy tho a photographer asking multiple times if we wanna take a picture for money and we said no that was really annoying 🙄!

Nicely set up, but from me, and I know many others... a bit more Shaffy in the café. Music, photos..etc....Take the name Shaffy off the facade...You have nothing to do with Ramses, you know nothing about Ramses. Read the Parool of October 8. Shame!!

Yesterday we watched football with friends in this atmospheric pub. A new pub, but with the old-fashioned Amsterdam atmosphere! Good and fast service despite the European Championship crowds. Delicious snacks; the little meatballs were 👍🏻. If you want to have a nice evening with friends, Bar Shaffy is where you should be!

Here you can order a delicious ball or bun with peanut butter! Also the classic snacks from Louman & Kef. Great fun for drinks or dancing during the weekend!

Malý podnik s 1-2 lidmi co jsou obsluha a pokladna zároveň, super atmosféra bistra, hezké ceny a hlavně výborná chuť (jak maso, tak omáčka tak i dobře udělané hranolky)
