Bbrood in Spaarndammer- en Zeeheldenbuurt

We arrived today around 4:30 PM to enjoy our daily coffee and croissant. But to our surprise, we received anything but a warm welcome. Just as we were about to sit down on the bench in front of the bakery, we were told in a rather unfriendly tone that the shop was closing. This was well before closing time. A shop or restaurant should only close at the official closing time, not half an hour before—especially not when there are still customers there who only want to enjoy a small snack. When I politely asked if we could just drink our coffee, I was met with a curt response and an angry look, and it was made clear that even that wasn't allowed. This not only gave an unprofessional impression but also made customers feel unwelcome. Moreover, the coffee was served cold, which once again underscored how little attention was paid to us as customers. It's a shame that a short coffee break had to become such an unpleasant experience. As a customer, you expect at least a polite explanation or a friendly alternative ("we're closing soon, but you're welcome to sit down a bit longer"). The way this was presented was anything but inviting and unfortunately detracts from the business's image.

The bread in general is recommended.

Delicious bread, the people who work there are very friendly and welcoming. I come here occasionally for the bread with raisins and hazelnuts—fantastic! Their pastries are also truly delicious. If I had better digestion, I could eat one every day 😂

Tiniest flat white I have ever seen for 4.50 - three sips and it's gone. I know that buying coffee out can feel like robbery at times, but this was a new low.

Delicious chocolate croissants, and the staff radiates friendliness from every angle. The bread is also excellent. A real asset to Spaarndammerstraat.

Delicious bread. I would actually like to say that they have the best bread in the Spaarndammerbuurt, but that doesn't sell Bbrood short. After all, they are the only bakery in the area. Nevertheless, I'm glad they have a branch here. Staff is friendly, bread is tasty and it is organic. What more could a person want? Be sure to opt for a delicious timmetje!

Actually this is how bread should be made, few ingredients... but all of good quality, actually so simple... and so traditional at the same time. The breads are a lot more expensive than the average bakery and certainly more expensive than the supermarket. But their breads, I haven't often had such delicious bread. The outsides are crispy and crispy, slightly thicker than you are used to with other breads. The inside is soft and tasty. with or without toppings, this bread is a treat! You do notice that it gets stale faster (but it is just as tasty in the oven), but that is understandable because there is less 'junk' in it to make it sustainable. Yes, this bread is a real treat... the place is also quiet and super friendly. Just great.

I've been to several Bbroods but this one is the best. They have the nicest people working there and it's just a pleasant experience. Their coffee and croissant got me through the dark winter months.

The only bakery in the Spaarndammerbuurt, as far as I know. And delicious bread.

Heerlijk brood en altijd heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. De warme kaascroissants en chocolade brownies met pistache zijn echt een feestje!

Nice people, good croissants. Sourdough bread is amazing. Coffee is alright, but not outstanding. Otherwise really good place to stop by on the way to park or back home

Ok maar niet meer dan dat, Smaakjes zijn redelijk niveau maar niet te vergelijken met ambachtelijke France bakker. Koffie is goed! Vaak veel mensen die wachten. Beter dan supermarket maar niet veel. Oh en plus geen vlees..geen hamkaas en geen sausagesbread..happy veg of zo (2,5 star I think)

Hier wordt allerlei 'lekker' bakkerswaar verkocht, nu ook speculaas! De kaas croissants zijn een aanrader. Het kan weleens druk zijn.

Hier afgelopen zaterdag een appeltaartje gehaald. Deze was smakelijk maar niet vers, ik denk dat die van de dag ervoor was en ik vind dat echt een no go...... tenzij het van tevoren aangegeven wordt. Jammer, ik kom hier niet meer terug.

This little bakery clearly shows the way how you should not run your business. Everyday their breads and pastries become smaller and smaller, literally they shrink. For now they introduced client cards to keep people coming but I'd suggest they rather keep the size of their products regular according to quite high prices.

Ruime keuze aan lekkers. Het brood/broodjes zijn altijd lekker vers gebakken, als je geluk hebt zijn ze zelfs nog warm. Vriendelijke service en producten van hoge kwaliteit. Aanrader👌
