We entered the shop and they had baked goods besides waffles, and they also had waffle gifts available. The waffles were absolutely delicious, perfectly sweet and with caramel. The aroma from outside was so tempting, it made you want to buy more. The coffee was excellent. I highly recommend you try it.

The stroopwaffles are made to order, are very soft, and taste great. The service is good, and they have a wide variety of breads. The only downside is that they only accept credit cards. I recommend ordering a coffee to go with your stroopwaffle.

We went on a Friday night around 6:30pm and there was no line. Ive never had a stroopwaffle before so I was amazed. I really thought that it would just taste like vanilla and be too sweet with the caramel in the middle. But it was spiced and warm, so so good. However we paid €7.50 for one here, whereas you can get them fresh for around 3-4 euros at some other places

My first time at Stroop Waffle. The waffle was freshly made, warm, and moist. The staff were incredibly friendly. They were always smiling, and when I got in line, another cashier quickly helped me. It was a little pricey at 7.50€, but the paper wrapping the waffle and the wet wipes were both high-quality. If you're looking for a delicious stroopwafel, I recommend this place.

This is the best stroopwafel in Amsterdam aside from the markets. Although on the pricier side, it’s well worth it. They’re made fresh in front of you. The staff are lovely, and the service is fast.

I tried the stroopwafel and a pain au chocolat. The stroopwafel was far too sweet, cinnamony, and fatty. If that's your thing, go for it. The pain au chocolat was a disaster. The consistency of the dough was nowhere near that of a real croissant—I've never eaten such a bad one (I mean it), and €3, when you can get a much cheaper and better one at Spar, is a disgrace. One additional star for the service, the ambiance, and, hopefully, the even better quality.

With the 4.8 rating with over a 1,000 reviews I knew it was a no brainer to come and try my very first stroopwaffle here. I am glad I did. Yes, I might have overpaid. But I am choosing to say I paid for the experience, the size, plus the hand wipe… You order at the counter and then they make it fresh in front of you! Pretty cool. (At the time I didn’t know many places did this.) The Dutch know how to do their sweets. They aren’t overly sweet or heavy. You can enjoy it and appreciate it. I am not sure if there is better out there and I don’t want to know. I think I had a great first and only experience and I would say anyone who went here would. Soak up the experience and soak up that sticky Carmel in between!

It's a real gem, the scent of cinnamon filling the entire adjacent street. The dessert that made them famous is delicious in itself, but not something to be swoon over. €7.50 for a cookie seems like a steal to me.

Delicious and light, they only have caramel waffles. Each piece costs 7.50 euros.

€7.50 for a waffle. Totally overpriced. Plus, a good portion is discarded during preparation, for no apparent reason other than aesthetics. It's almost funny to see the tourists/sheep taking photos with their waffles, all happy but unaware of their trap. Hateful.

Outrageously expensive, and the food is also mediocre—for their price, I'd expect at least something better than other places charging half the price. Don't go here; it's a place that further pollutes Amsterdam.
