This is the perfect place to try the famous Stroopwafel. Although there's often a line, service is very fast, and you wait outside (there's no seating). The price is quite high (€7-8 per cookie), but it's delicious, and comes with hand wipes.

Nothing worthwhile. Egregiously dry waffle that feels like eating sand, for an egregious price of 7,5€ for a piece. No flavors, barely any caramel that has no depth. Service and friendliness were non-existent in spite of the store being empty.

Typical tourist trap. Nothing special. All hype and no real taste.

Very cute store. I had a fresh stroopwafel and it was good, not great. It was overpriced, but it seems like most people who go here are doing it for the Gram. If you don’t care about finding the city’s BEST stroopwafel and are okay paying €7.50 for a good one at a cute shop, go here.

We could smell their freshly made stroopwafels from a block away! They are known for being the oldest bakery in the city and the stroopwafels came from recipe that passed through generations since 1898. The waffles are caramel‑gooey, and impossibly satisfying.

This historic Amsterdam bakery specializing in Stroopwafels has become a must-see tourist destination. The place is very small and has no seating: you enter only to pay (€7.50 per Stroopwafel, a rather high price) and then wait outside for them to be prepared and picked up. Despite the long line—in our case, about 30 people—the service is quite fast and well-organized. The waffles arrive hot, crispy, with a caramel filling, and are also served with baby wipes. The staff is friendly, smiling, and polite. Anyone who comes here knowingly for a waffle will find it a worthwhile experience; otherwise, there are other places where waffles are cheaper. You can also purchase pre-made waffles to go.

I had better much better stroopwafels (trust me, I am Dutch) and 7,50 euros is really extensieve.

Wonderful traditional bakery with the famous stroopwaffles that are baked on the spot in front of you and the place smells musky! They have a cinnamon flavor and honey inside and are delicious eaten either cold or warm! They are served warm in a luxurious cardboard case and with a wet tissue! They only accept cards and the ideal thing if you want to avoid queues is to go at 8.00 when they open! That way you can take pictures of the uniquely decorated and taken from another era place! The staff is polite and smiling! I will definitely return on my next trip to try the croissants! One waffle that is large and filling costs 7.5 euros and for its quality and uniqueness it is worth it!

Visited the croissantierre as its one of the highest rated bakers in amsterdam! I have eaten a lot of croissant, the original gets a 5/10. Ham and cheese, 3/10, doubke chocolate 3/10. I can tell by the structure on the inside that its not a great croissant, not very buttery or delicate on the mouth. The ham and cheese was raw in the middle and the dpubke chocolate shared some of both. For €3 its one of the most expensive croissant I've paid for including PARIS! I can get better for 50p in scotland! Staff are very polite! Other than a stroopwaffle, I have no idea why this place has a 4.8??? Tourist trap if im honest

A strop waffle is a must-eat for every Amsterdam tourist! And yes, the place is chic, the staff is super friendly, and the waffles are delicious, BUT... The price is ridiculous! €7.50 for a waffle? We paid it, but it's really too much! In my opinion, it's a tourist trap; half the price would be more appropriate...

Amazing stroopwaffles!! Really made with a lot of butter and caramel! You can enjoy one large freshly made on the spot for €7,50. We also bought a package to go for €11 (it had smaller ones inside). You have to wait in a que but it's worth it.

Delicious food, but a little expensive

The absolute best stroopwafels we've had in Amsterdam (by far)! The taste, texture, and sweetness level were all spot on. While there's only a small sitting area outside to eat, there's usually space to stand outside. The staff were extremely efficient and friendly. Highly recommend!

A super delicious little bakery that offers more than just strop waffles. The strop waffles are freshly prepared to order, and if you arrive early enough, you'll skip any lines, although even those are quickly cleared. There was no waiting time when I visited, as I went just after they opened to buy a waffle for my friend. But every time I passed by, there was always a bit of a queue. Good prices, friendly staff, fast service, a cute vibe, and delicious waffles - definitely worth a visit.🧇

The food was good, but overall not worth the high price tag. We were lucky not to have to wait for a table, which definitely helped the experience feel smoother. It’s a decent spot, but there are better value options nearby.

Even though this place still leans a bit too sweet for my personal taste, I have to admit the aroma alone was impossible to resist. The moment I walked past, the warm, inviting scent wrapped around me like a hug, practically pulling me inside. There’s something so comforting about the smell of freshly made treats drifting through the air, promising indulgence before you’ve even taken a bite. While the flavors here may not be perfectly balanced for those who prefer less sweetness, the fragrance, presentation, and overall charm of the shop make it worth a stop. Sometimes, scent is its own temptation.

The stroopwafel is extremely delicious, the employees are very attentive, the interior has a wonderful smell, it is worth the price, I stopped by by chance, I later learned that it is a popular place. Bedankt!

Original, handmade on the spot signature sweetness of Amsterdam. These waffles are completely different to the ones you buy in packages. They are made of dough which is not sweet, more neutral and it makes perfect pair with caramel sauce. It is delish!! There is a queue as every waffle is prepared in front of you but the wait is not so long as it seems and it is so worth it. Recommended

Despite being viral place the customer service here was great and warm . I say this because normally when places get abit more business they really don’t value their customers. Tourist trap - 7.50€ for one stroopwafel

We stopped by just before they closed and got two handmade Dutch waffles for €15 in total. The taste was quite nice — freshly made, slightly crispy on the outside, and soft inside. They even included a small wet wipe with the order, which was a thoughtful touch. Overall, a tasty and pleasant experience!
