Beach pavilion "Zeezicht" in Wijk 04 Bakkum

After a freezing walk on the beach, we had a delicious lunch with our two children. Friendly staff, delicious food, and generous portions.

We had a wonderful time outside, sheltered from the wind at the best beach bar in North Holland! The view was stunning, of course, and we treated ourselves to a delicious focaccia toastie—a solid 10!

Nice, cozy place on the beach. I've eaten here several times and every time it's been good. The food is good, and they have a wide selection of beer and wine. The staff is very friendly, and there are plenty of them, especially the neighbors, who are very pleasant guys. A tip: the apple crumble trifle is perhaps a bit too big, but very tasty, but a bit much for such a delicious fish meal.

We've been coming here for a long time, and it's a really nice place. What we've noticed lately is that the service has been a bit less "friendly" than usual. The enthusiasm and genuine friendliness are lacking, especially among the newer staff. That's a shame, because it really adds to the overall experience. I hope they can raise that to a higher level again.

On Monday, my family surprised me with a delicious dinner. The staff provided personalized attention and created a wonderful experience. The spectacular dessert topped it all off! I always enjoy coming here, but this was extra special. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, I can't share a positive experience. We waited about 20 minutes at the pavilion, but no one came to take our order. When I asked a waitress if someone could help us, I was told someone else was taking orders—fine, but even after that, our table was ignored. The terrace wasn't busy, and we noticed the person taking orders looking around. Meanwhile, other tables who had arrived later were being helped. When an older couple then came in and were served immediately, that was the last straw for us. We ended up leaving without an order, feeling like we weren't welcome. It was a disappointing experience, and I hope that in the future, more attention will be paid to customers who wait.

Today I went for a swim in the beautiful sea in front of Zeezicht, and as a treat, I had coffee at Zeezicht. I paid cash. And then I realized (almost home) that I was missing 50 euros! I called. Did you find 50 euros? Seemed hopeless. I thought I should pay by card too... But still! I found it. How thoughtful, honest, and kind! I sat in the chair where I dried my hair and paid in the meantime. Thank you so much!!

Delicious Tom Kha soup as a starter and unfortunately ordered risotto...as a true risotto lover, I was very disappointed. Two shrimp and seven mussels, and a lot of dry rice with a lobster-like color. I squeezed in a lot of lemon myself to create a bit of creaminess, but no...too bad, too bad... Otherwise, a wonderful atmosphere and great staff.

My mother and I had the pleasure of celebrating our party at Zeezicht beach pavilion in Castricum aan Zee. We all know the feeling of going somewhere and saying afterward, "It was fun, but I felt a bit disappointed in this or that," or "I actually would have preferred it this way or that." We can honestly say that this wasn't the case at Zeezicht. Everything was perfectly taken care of. We were able to discuss various matters with the incredibly hospitable staff, and our wishes were listened to incredibly well. The food was incredibly delicious and exceptionally well-prepared, they made sure everyone had enough to drink, and the venue is truly beautifully decorated. Our guests were also very impressed with this beach pavilion. Dietary requirements were also very well taken into account, and we received compliments on that as well. If you're thinking of hosting your party here, we wholeheartedly say, "Do it!" You won't regret it.

Nice place for lunch in front of beach

The food itself was good, but nothing special. The menu was rather limited. Due to the many reservations at the bar, there was still room, but not ideal. It was a shame that we were already finished before some of the reserved seats were actually occupied. This could have been handled better.

Great food. Nice view, but the fried egg sandwich didn't come with 4 eggs (instead of 3), and it wasn't even available for a fee. Oh well, you can't have everything in life.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our wedding at Zeezicht beach pavilion. Highly recommended! From the very beginning, we were well-guided and always treated with patience and courtesy. They have a professional app that guides you through the options and, with a complete overview of the possibilities, quickly provides you with a suitable quote, but also allows you to plan the day. We didn't have a wedding planner, which made this a major concern. We had a beautiful space indoors with a private bar and a spacious terrace outside. On the day itself, everything was perfectly arranged and decorated, just as we had discussed. Several runners were constantly working to ensure we and our guests had a great time, and no request was too much trouble. Everything was well-coordinated and they were flexible, for example, if we wanted to cut the cake a bit later. The ceremony on the beach was beautifully prepared and exceptionally beautiful. Furthermore, parking in Castricum is easy (less than a 10-minute walk from the parking lot), and the beach is super beautiful and inviting. I highly recommend Zeezicht for any occasion. Thank you so much to the people of Zeezicht for making our special day unforgettable!

What a beautiful restaurant and good food and friendly staff

just got kicked out of the restaurant for no reason, waitress came to me and said there is a Q outside waiting to be seated …. table was EMPTY…. so hang on, i came in there wasn’t any reservations in the table i was seated with my daughter the table still empty , nobody occupied as i stand from the outside, so they are very bad desorganised and messy that was my first time and last , never again , ypu guys need to be kind to family with kids , there’s no reason to kick a mother out

Beautiful views of the beach and the sea combined with delicious food. Three levels: directly on the beach and therefore wheelchair accessible, a wooden deck above with windshields and a beautiful view, and a slightly higher level inside. Prices are typically steep, as is typical for the beach. The beach burger and the Crushi are highly recommended.

We arrived quite unexpectedly, and with a large group. Fortunately, this wasn't a problem, and they spared no effort to get us seated. The food was great, and the service was friendly and fast. We had a fantastic meal. 👍👍👍

A lovely beach bar where you can sit at a table with your feet in the sand, either on the terrace or inside. It still looks quite new and trendy inside. Original cocktails and a good menu. The staff is friendly and quick!

Was busy but had enough staff. Early evening had to ask to order something every time but later in the evening they came faster. Be careful you can't make a reservation for outside!!

You could say the view makes up for the poor food. Far too expensive for the poor quality, and the service was extremely overwhelmed when the outdoor area was packed. It's a shame, as they could have done better. The seating is comfortable, and the view is fantastic!

Cozy atmosphere, great music, lovely view. But ordered 2x mussels with fries (€ 26.50 each) got a lovely (small) plate of mussels, but with 1x fries.... A bit stingy for that price. That was the policy, we were told when we made a comment about it. We could order more (didn't ask if this was included in the price)... A bit of a shame. Otherwise ok.

The food wasn't good. Beach burgers and pizza Margherita for children. French fries very dry, the pizza tasted like it came from the freezer, cheese wasn't melted (analog cheese?). Burger small and not very topped, BBQ sauce not very tasty. Price/performance was absolutely not right. Staff was friendly and the view was great!

Sea view Castricum Hospitality could be better. Upon arrival we were told that we had made a reservation the same day and were asked if we could get a table by the window. If we wanted that, we would have to make a reservation earlier in the future, but for now they were able to arrange something. Exceptionally, we were given a table by the window. My dining companion ordered ginger tea. The glass was so full of ginger pieces that it was way too strong. Our request for a glass of boiled water so that we could siphon some ginger pieces to make a diluted version of the tea was considered particularly strange, but we were eventually given the glass of warm water. During the meal we asked for a carafe of cold water. That wasn't possible. Spa blue/red. In the end we were able to get a small glass of water per person. I ordered vegetarian mush cream salad. It turned out there was beef in it. After reporting it was exchanged without apologies. No goodbyes were said upon departure. The waitress ignored our greeting. All in all, the hospitality left much to be desired, and that for a beach bar that has the title of “best beach bar of 2024”!

Beach pavilion Zeezicht has been extensively modernized. It looks neat, but some parts now feel more like a restaurant than a beach bar. Of course, the view of the sea remains fantastic!

This is a very bad tent. Quite unfriendly people who don't send you away angrily.

Very nice beach tent. I thought it was a shame that we couldn't sit at a table with 2 other people because the table was reserved, but only at half past seven. Very strange because we were there at 2 o'clock and the people who were already there had no objections. And when we moved to a vacant table by the window, we couldn't sit there either because it had been served. However, only much later. When other people came in shortly afterwards, they were able to take a seat there. Sorry, but that's a reason for us to continue walking when it's busy next time. Although we obviously understand crowds, we did not understand this logic.

Been here for the first time but certainly not the last time. As someone who has had a stomach reduction, I can simply indicate this and it will be taken into account. Even shared the dessert and we received 2 forks and spoons. The service is super nice and helpful.

Beautiful beach tent with plenty of seating inside and outside. Dogs are allowed, so you can enjoy a tasty snack or drink after a nice walk on the beautiful beach. The staff is friendly and fast. The food is tasty and well priced. We spent €40 for lunch, drinks and coffee. 'No money' for this time! Definitely recommended for a meal!

How fun this was! Not so busy, hospitable and really tasty food. Not so easy if you have an allergy like me. Actually, it was the first time that I had such a delicious meal in a restaurant. Hats off to the chef and service.

We had dinner here last night. The food was fine. However, the atmosphere was lacking, especially at this time of year. The draft over our table was so bad that my girlfriend sat at the table with her coat on. In general it was not really warm. With all that in mind, I thought the bill was on the high side.

Our great coffees tasted great, although they were not very warm anymore when my partner and I received them, so we drank them quickly. As a result, we didn't stay at this beach bar for very long, but the atmosphere seemed to be fine and we had no complaints about the staff. 😊

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ What a wonderful afternoon we had with you. I have a pork and chicken allergy, and for the first time in a long time, I ate well and safely, in a restaurant we don't know yet. I can't explain to you how nice that is. No more crying for hours in pain, with crooked joints, in the car back home, because they promise something, and yet they don't take it into account, but now a safe, cozy and nice address, for the next time we another day at the beach. What made it complete was that our dachshund puppy was also welcome. So that we could really enjoy a day together without children, and a puppy sleeping on his blanket between us. We also wanted to give the service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. She walked around the tables each time, making contact with everyone, and people were seen. Nice and spontaneous girls, who I think take quite a few steps in a day. Team Zeezicht.. Thank you for us, and see you next time

Being able to sit outside on a beautiful autumn day while the children played in the sand across the street, we enjoyed the coffee and later a drink with a snack. Friendly staff.
