Beej Toën // eten & drinken in Wijk 08 Grubbenvorst

Had some tasty lunch bites. Nice concept and well made. Lovely people. Definitely worth a visit if you want to have a quiet lunch, among other things.

A beautiful restaurant with a wonderful atmosphere, delicious food of the highest quality, and very friendly service. We are thrilled! :-)

Tasty lunch. Friendly service. Terrace along a main road, a bit noisy. No photo

Super friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere and a well-chosen selection of seasonal dishes.

Had a delicious meal. We had the Chef's 3-course menu, 2 with fish and 2 with meat. Superb. The service was friendly too, so plenty of reason to come back again.

Original menu, tasty dishes, I liked the choice of 3 small dishes for lunch.

Very nice place to have a nice chat with friends.

Delicious food and drinks. The two of us enjoyed the chef's 4-course menu. The atmosphere at Beej Toën is great, and the service was excellent. Definitely worth coming back. Thank you.

Surprisingly tasty, and good portions.

The food was delicious. The service gets a 10; they are so well-coordinated. They arrive at the table at the right moments and keep a close eye on everything. They radiate enjoyment. The restaurant is well-organized, nicely decorated, and a pleasant place to sit. Also very suitable for large groups. The menu is extensive and very varied. Taste sensations and familiar dishes with a unique twist. For example: unlimited spare ribs. You can choose from normal, mild, spicy, or hot. Great fries; ordering a second portion is no problem. The mayonnaise is also something special, not standard, probably homemade? Extensive drinks menu. Wines, cocktails, (specialty) beers, soft drinks. The selection is huge. Desserts, plenty of choice too. Delicious dining, tasty lunch, or a cozy drink. Top spot. You can make reservations both by phone and online. Be sure to do so, as it is a popular spot. Wheelchair accessible, child-friendly. Compliments to team Toën !!

The lady (with glasses) was super friendly. We had the tapas, and they were delicious. We stayed at CP de Peel and highly recommend this restaurant! Also great for children and for lunch.

Good lunch spot halfway along the Pieterpad stage from Swolgen to Venlo.

Nice place with amazing food and kind staff members. Can't ask for more!

The rented room is too small for our company, service is good

A truly amazing place to eat! 🤩 The asparagus soup was delicious. 🍵 The steak is also highly recommended. And the spare ribs… they're simply amazing ❤️🔥 tender and full of flavor. Also, the bread with the spare ribs in garlic sauce and cheese is really delicious, definitely worth a try! This is a place my boyfriend and I often return to 🍽️🔥

So delicious, so lovely, thank you so much!

It was a wonderful evening and we were very happy with the service and the delicious food! Unfortunately, there's only one picture, but from appetizer to dessert, all our dishes were absolutely fantastic 🥰

I dined here today, the game stew. The name goulash put me off for a moment, but it was very tasty. Small tip: rinse espresso cups with hot water beforehand, as the coffee was lukewarm. All in all, we had a very good meal; the spare ribs were also delicious, for a very reasonable price. Furthermore, the service was friendly and efficient.

The food was good, but sometimes a bit disappointing. It just wasn't quite there. We recall having eaten better here before. It was a surprise, though, that we received delicious bread rolls with tasty spreads beforehand!

Very nice restaurant near Venlo with great food and friendly service.

Enjoyed a delicious buffet with a large group on Sunday

Delicious, delicious. !!!!!!!!! Great!!! Went three times last week and had a delicious meal. Friendly staff/service, in short, a nice, cozy shop!!! See you soon.

Had a great meal in the conservatory. The service was very good. Had a lovely evening!

Delicious food, and inexpensive by Dutch standards. I had a mixed grill with potatoes, fries, and salad. You also get delicious bread with herb butter as a starter. All that is more than enough. A starter and/or dessert would have been too much.

We had a delicious meal for a great price. We had the 4-course menu. The dessert was delicious. The service was friendly.

Simply good food, presented nicely.

Tasty lunch tasting. Friendly staff. Unfortunately, the spicy chicken did lack some kick ;) Second visit. It was delicious again, with a surprise dessert afterwards, and the staff was very friendly. Point for improvement: the Turkish pizza was very dry.

The food was ”eh-meh”. I thought I will receive 1 burger but I got 2 smaller burgers. The meat was kinda hard. Really not nice and not worth the money!

Spicy Chicken Salad. Delicious meal and good service.

Delicious food, friendly staff.

As in previous years, we had another excellent dinner. I especially recommend the tapas menu. You get everything from the menu, just in smaller portions. Prices are good and reasonable. The service is always friendly and helpful. We'll be happy to come back.

Everything at Beej Toën is just right: The meat is of high quality, perfectly prepared, and incredibly flavorful. Added to that, the super friendly and attentive staff make your visit truly enjoyable. You can tell that hospitality is a top priority here. The value for money is more than fair – you're paying absolutely reasonable prices for the quality offered.

Very nice, but unfortunately nothing was possible without a reservation

Had a very tasty creamy asparagus soup, highly recommended. The main course (softly cooked veal tenderloin with asparagus and a tarragon sauce) was also delicious. Dessert I had ice cream with strawberries, of course there is little that can go wrong with this, but also highly recommended.

The menu for children is a bit on the meager side

Had a lovely lunch for a great price. Attentive staff. Cosy, friendly atmosphere.

Vriendelijk personeel, warm welkom.

Menu in English was available. (complement) in the Swedish language would have been nice.

Had a nice tapas lunch. Excellent and good service.

I would be happy to go back. Portions could be larger but quite sufficient for me

Nice lunch with friends. Nice space inside, because unfortunately it was too windy for the terrace. The food and drinks were very well prepared (tasty 😋). The staff was not pushy, but did politely ask if we wanted to have something to eat every now and then, as is appropriate. So definitely a very nice restaurant to go to.

We had lunch there and it was always delicious

Very friendly, nice service and German menu. On the recommendation I took the mustard soup, that was the right decision very much 😋

Dated menu and dishes of substandard quality. Service is friendly but lacks etiquette. Nice for the "locals" to be able to eat in the village. Not recommended to "the outsider" looking for a good restaurant.

Full professional service. The food was tasty, huge portions. I will definitely come more often 😊

delicious food, friendly and customer friendly staff. definitely recommended

Were in the draft the whole time. Was solved with a blanket

The 2 of us went out for dinner here yesterday. The food was delicious. The beef carppacio in particular was absolutely fantastic. The staff were very friendly and the food was beautifully presented. Yesterday was our first time but certainly not our last time!

Good quality price and good treatment. Angus burger is very delicious

😊Delicious 😋👨🏻‍🍳👩🏼‍🍳 food🍽🍷 smooth and only friendly service top👍🏻👍🏻would make a reservation😉

Super location, super food and great service staff. Toën, it's a go.

Due to the many positive reactions, we made a reservation here during our holiday weekend. We can only agree that these reactions are more than justified. Very tasty food at a very good price. Definitely recommended!

Delicious, cozy. Friendly service

Beautifully laid out plates, served with great attention, with various side dishes

Good food for a friendly price.

Had dinner with eight of us. On the advice of the employee, we all opted for the 4-course menu. And it was GREAT. the service was also great. Highly RECOMMENDED!

Very tasty food, good staff and cozy.

On September 21, we had dinner at Beej Toen with our children to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. The restaurant has a friendly atmosphere and the service is great. We were only very disappointed with the food, except for the spareribs. A tuna starter smelled fishy and did not taste fresh, two fish dishes were also very disappointing and the steak was tough. Apparently the chef was having a bad day. Only the spareribs were highly appreciated. Overall a disappointing experience. Shame.

We had a very tasty meal here. Beej Toën is a restaurant located on the edge of the village center of Grubbenvorst. The restaurant has an extension with glass walls, which gives you the feeling that you are sitting outside, but warm... The food is very tasty and well prepared Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a homely atmosphere.

Booked in advance, went without any problems. Upon arrival we indicated that we had made a reservation and a table was reserved. We were greeted by extremely friendly employees. 3 and 4 course menu was explained what that entails. Opted for the 3 course menu which was excellent. The prices are in line with the market. The atmosphere and surroundings are very good. Update 09.24: nothing changed! Still excellent!

Delicious food and cozy atmosphere

It's nice that delicious bread is served here with spreads. Without asking, would you like bread for €7.50? Top. Ordered a bottle of wine, added a large carafe of water. Also great again. Many things can be learned from this. Rendang tasted great, too bad there was only some rice with it. Some vegetables or something would have been better. My sirloin steak was perfectly cooked and tender. Too bad it only came with fries and lettuce. All main courses on the menu are served with fries, potatoes and vegetables. So it's a shame we didn't get it. Otherwise great business, no nonsense.

Had a delicious meal today! We just did some research near the lake valley and came across this nice place! Compliments to the cook and the waitresses 🤗

Been here several times. The fact that we keep coming back shows how satisfied we are.

I can only recommend excellent food

Ate at Beej Toën for the first time. The tapas lunch is definitely recommended, with a choice of various dishes including meat/fish/soup and salad of the day. The only small point for improvement is the range of vegan options. In addition, the unlimited tapas lunch also includes two additional dishes and a dessert that are not on the menu. You can order two dishes per round and I have found this to be sufficient. The quality of the dishes is good, and the price-quality ratio is also perfect. For a small additional charge you can also order fries and/or bread with the tapas. The restaurant has plenty of seating indoors, outdoors and in the conservatory. The service is friendly and smooth, without being rushed. The tapas lunch can be ordered between 12 and 4, but has no time limit like many other providers of 'unlimited' tapas. All in all, definitely recommended!

Good restaurant, friendly staff, food is also recommended

Enjoyed a delicious meal in this fine restaurant. Friendly service.

At lunchtime you can choose 3 from 18 different tapas for €13.50. For €21.95 you can eat as many tapas as you want. The menu is also available in German upon request. There are also other small lunch dishes. If my review was helpful, I would appreciate a thumbs up.

Delicious 4 course menu 1 small point of attention, perhaps the sauces with the dishes were quite thin, which lost the taste a bit. Stand out for the rest. Also very friendly staff

Delicious food, friendly service, nice ambience

We were treated to dinner here. And what a surprise. There were three of us and we opted for the 4-course menu. Everything was equally tasty. The asparagus soup was excellent. The carpaccio entree was also excellent. The main courses were also fantastically prepared. And then a delicious dessert. Condition was friendly.

"Beej Toën". Just a little something for an emigrated Tukker.... Is only highly civilized Limburgish spoken here and do I only get balkenbrij, asparagus or rice pie? Not that it can't be delicious, but I come for a light lunch with croquettes and bread. Well Toon and his employees serve various delicious culinary dishes and drinks. Also croquettes with bread, brown bread.. The charming hostess is a winner, she is probably multi-linguistic. I heard Venloos, German and Dutch; of course she speaks Grubbenvorsts.. Nice place for lunch and dinner!

Nice meal. Despite some crowds, we were helped quickly thanks to a group. Great tent!

Uitstekende prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Nice meal Excellent service especially top. Cozy atmosphere.

delicious meal. the mixed grill from the hot stone is highly recommended. nice and tender meat that stays at the right temperature. the portions were generous, although a little more vegetables would have been welcome. Not that I'm much of a vegetable eater, but these were delicious grilled. And then for dessert the heavenly mud. I often have the heavenly mud for dessert, but I have never had it as delicious as this. Compliments to the chef. In short, a delicious meal for a price that was certainly worth it. Recommended. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

The Taps Unlimited, which the four of us enjoyed, was also very pleasant and a surprise. For us as Westerners, the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive!

The Christmas dinner was einfach CLASS

Goede koffie, gezellig ingericht.

O.a. de wildsoep was heel lekker.
