Delicious food and very friendly staff. I would be absolutely delighted if there were a plant-based main course on the menu.

Update to previous review: We ate here again. Compared to years ago, Sevewaeg has taken a step back. The risotto as well as the mustard soup were fine. But the tournedos, at €36 on the menu, did not come close to the appreciation it received previously. At such a price, even today, you expect a well-cooked, tender piece of meat. Far from it. It was not medium, cooked too far and too fast, resulting in a strange, almost black color on the outside. The outside of the tournedos was just a bit tough. Not flavorful compared to last time. The side dishes were fine, with a bit too many fries cooked with the meat for the second time. PREVIOUS REVIEW Had a delicious meal. Main course and dessert. Veal duo and Tournedos from the charcoal oven. Was fine+. Dessert was very extensive, the tartlet was hard and very rich. It could all be a bit less. Service let us down. Ordered drink not served and difficulty getting the wait staff's attention.

Great ambiance, good dinner menu, nice bar food with if the kitchen is already closed. Went 2xs while at a showing at Peelbergen. Service is welcoming and prompt. The p*star martini dessert was great and the Camembert good. The meat bitterballen was the only item that was just ok….

One of the best smash burgers I have had in Holland would recommend everyone to try this place out I’m a head chef from Hilton hotel London and when I tell you it good then believe me !! ❤️❤️❤️

We went for dinner with seven people. We were surprised by the additional dining rooms located behind the front of the restaurant. The decor is charming and there's plenty of space between the tables. The food is of excellent quality and there's a good beer selection. The plates were beautifully presented. The service was attentive and friendly.

We have often dined here with great pleasure and enjoyment, and we held our wedding here last Saturday. Everything was perfectly arranged and taken care of, and they were able to accommodate every request. If we asked for anything on the day itself, it was taken care of immediately. Unfortunately, we didn't have a good experience here. For the prices, the portions were small and the food was average. The waiters were friendly but very inexperienced. Among other things, we were given dirty glasses. To be honest, it seemed to us that this restaurant was trying to be "high-end" but couldn't deliver in terms of quality.

We were there for dinner this evening. The service was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. We had the braised veal cheeks and rib-eye steak. It was incredibly delicious! The veal cheeks were so tender, the meat practically fell apart. The steak was cooked to medium all over, just as requested, and the sauces were divine! The side dishes included various vegetables, salad, and fries. The beer selection is also excellent. I highly recommend eating and drinking there. Thanks to the wonderful team!

Last evening, our party of fourteen enjoyed a remarkable dining experience at De Sevewaeg. The establishment's ambiance, culinary offerings, and service were all exceptional. De Sevewaeg distinguishes itself as not merely an outstanding restaurant within The Netherlands, but as one of the finest I have encountered in recent years. Despite our group's English-speaking background, the staff provided English menus and facilitated seamless communication. We chose to dine indoors and were accommodated in a private area at the rear, which showcased an impressive level of interior design. This proved to be an ideal setting for our penultimate evening in the country. We are exceedingly pleased with our experience.

Yesterday I went on a 120km bike ride, so a pasta dish really hit the spot. But the spaghetti bolognese was only available as a children's dish (€12.50). When I asked if this could also be an adult portion, the response was positive. But when I got the bill, I was shocked. The price of the children's pasta was simply doubled: €25.00!!?? That makes even the pasta with scampi cheaper... By the way, it wasn't the best I've ever eaten, and it really should be for that price. It is a cozy place though, and the service was friendly.

We ate there three days in a row while on vacation. My daughter and I had delicious gluten-free dishes. There was never a reaction. They have gluten-free fries. These are prepared in a separate fryer. We also had meat skewers, steaks, risotto, salad, and fish. Everything was great and no problems.

I'm very disappointed in this restaurant. I live in Horst and wanted to eat something. The food didn't arrive for an hour and a half. I asked the waiter if he'd forgotten us. I got a strange answer and walked away. When I paid, I was charged for dishes I hadn't ordered, as well as drinks that were doubled. This is absolutely unacceptable! I'll never go back. And I'll share my experiences with others. 2 skewers, 4 drinks €105.00

What a great place! Plenty of service, and very attentive, attentive to the guests, fun and friendly. The food was delicious, I'm already looking forward to the rest of the menu and hope I can try everything I've seen on the menu within a week. I love those little touches: bringing around a glass of savoury snacks for drinks (not for us, as we'd just finished our plates...), a cookie with coffee that you don't have to unwrap first, and... a delicious glass of whipped cream with a dash of something delicious. They're the finishing touches that give everything a little something extra. On to lunch soon...

Came here for drink with a big group and luckily the outside table was available. After sitting down it took the staff a few minutes to drop by and take our order. We ordered various drinks of which some alcoholic and some not and one slice of apple pie. As a hospitality professional I must say I was impressed by this Cafe/ restaurant. The drinks came out timeliny and quick, Staff had their sections well under control and no guests had to wait to order, Their fresh teas look amazing, They always served clean glasses with their new orders, All staff communicate well with each other, There are low waiting times for your drinks, And the venue itself looks beautiful, clean and well presented. The ladies room has three toilets of which one with a big changing station. Everything was very clean and looked proper. I am surprised with how this company handles their staff, their internal communication and their share fastness of serving. They also have a extended menu in regards to non-alcoholic and alcohol beverages. (Not soo much cocktails as The Netherlands isn't too cocktail focussed) Plenty of beer and wines to choose from! For just having had drinks on a busy sunday afternoon, I am impressed and would recommend this cafe.

Thursday the 12th we visited the Sevewaeg with friends. We were warmly welcomed and given a round table. That's always nice, especially if you want to have a nice chat. The very friendly waiter who came to serve us appeared to be full of humor and had a good sense of our atmosphere. We started with a bread basket and then we chose the yellowtail kingfish which was very tasty. The carpaccio and pork belly were also highly appreciated. My group then unanimously chose the cod, but I took the poussin. I asked what exactly it meant and that was a nice opportunity for the waiter (a boy from Kepel called Rijk) to make a good joke out of it. Laughed a lot about this story with the spring chicken. An explanation and advice also followed regarding the wine that matches the dishes. We finished with a delicious chocolate brownie, cheesecake and cheese board. The explanation for the cheese board was conveniently printed on a piece of waxed paper. To finish, a delicious latte machiato with caramel. In summary, a full evening's dinner where we enjoyed the delicious food and the very nice, humorous service. We'll come eat again soon👍🏻

Small portions and outrageous prices, I don't recommend it, they also charged for 3 non-alcoholic beers instead of 2... I will never go there again... it's for those customers who know what to do with money... we returned home for almost minus 100 € we went to kapsalon because we were hungry... I do not recommend this restaurant......

Delicious food in this beautiful restaurant with wonderfully enthusiastic and good service. The dishes are tasty and beautifully prepared. We come here often and will certainly continue to do so. Small point of criticism: if you don't like beef, the main course choices are limited.

A cozy village pub where you can also have a delicious bite to eat. The menu has recently been updated: nice things, but also a lot more expensive and few vegetarian options. The chick from the oven is not recommended, there is a lot of bone and therefore not easy to eat, especially chickpeas.

Too bad you pay extra for hot vegetables, and after 3 dinners you only get winter carrots. They cost almost nothing. I think this is very bad. Did Ton have a truck delivered?

Don‘t understand why the rating is so low. This is the 2nd time we were at the restaurant and it’s one of our favorite restaurant in Netherlands. I had a beef tartar and of course spare ribs. The food was fantastic, really interesting how they used pickled radish instead of capers for the beef tartar and the meat from the ribs were falling off the bone! Service was great with big smiles and small talks. Love the place!

Pleasantly surprised by the refined cuisine (trio of meat perfectly cooked, melted in the mouth, avocado tartelette with burrata and 2nd starter of prawns), the presentation and the fantastic service by Rijk who made the evening a complete success for us - in short, our expectations were surpassed! 👏👏👏
