Bertram & Brood Doesburg in Wijk 01

Ordered two sandwiches, that shouldn't be so difficult, right? So instead of ham, I got cheese and sent it back. It's very unfortunate that when you have a toilet, it's out of toilet paper, especially at the beginning of the day. This should be fine at any time of day. The sandwiches are okay, the price-quality ratio is quite high.

Delicious lunch, definitely recommended

The price-quality ratio is disproportionate. A small carpaccio roll with a slice of egg and cucumber on the side costs €12. However, the sign where you order says around €6, but because you've already sat down, it's no longer to-go, and the price doubles. Very unusual. It would have helped if we had been more accommodating, but that clearly wasn't an option. The place itself is cozy, and there's plenty of seating inside and outside. However, due to these misleading prices and the lack of customer service, I wouldn't eat here again.

Good cappuccino, and tasty cookies.

We'd booked high tea with anticipation. The website showed a tiered stand with scones and all sorts of mini pastries. It looked great in the photo. So we were surprised to find shortbread, apple pie, a fruit tart, and a handful of Lonka fudge in the bowls. "Scones? Sir, we've never had those before!" :) Then we were served generously filled ciabatta rolls, wraps, and savory snacks (pizza and cheese roll). Finally, sweet rolls. We declined the soup afterward and were given a smoothie instead. Tea is adjusted to taste and you can drink unlimitedly. The first picture is what you actually get. The second picture is what's on the website: Scones and unique pastries. Conclusion: lots of food, but not the high tea you'd expect. Furthermore, the service was friendly and flexible, ensuring you have a pleasant experience.

Very pricey, especially the soft drinks. A bit over the top. The prices of the cookies, etc., aren't visible.

The food and location are excellent, the waitstaff is still very young and inexperienced. I wanted sweetener with my coffee and asked for it, but it wasn't brought to me, which is a shame.

We had a delicious lunch; we had a deluxe healthy sandwich and a warm meat sandwich. Friendly service.

The prices are high. The staff doesn't seem to understand anything. I've been there twice, and both orders were wrong. Perhaps they should train the staff properly? The cleaning lady left the restroom, but it was far from clean.

Not exactly cheap, but above all, the poor organization means you have to wait far too long for a "simple" sandwich. A shame, because the young staff is very friendly and ready to help.

Long wait while there are few customers. Tables dirty. A brown bun was so hard, hard to cut with a knife. The cappuccino was nice though.

More than half an hour waiting for someone to take the order. Then another half hour waiting for the order. On old hard chairs. Bread and rolls are tasty, pastries and related items strongly avoided, dried out old whipped cream, fruits very old. Tried several times, various pastries, but everything is not pastry worthy. Very young staff who sat next to us at a table with an elderly person,,,, yes but you ordered this, with a big bleat.. poor man did not know that if you order a ham and cheese sandwich with green food next to it, you then get a healthy sandwich.. because that seemed like it! Well that was the last time for me.

Doesburg is a really beautiful city and I can highly recommend the bakery.

bad service!! We had to wait a long time until they came to ask what we wanted even though we had already ordered????

Limp croquettes and no service at all. We sat with our dirty plates for an hour. Even when we ordered some drinks they were not cleaned up. The drinks were simply added.

Pleasant atmosphere and delicious food

Had a meal with my sister-in-law. It wasn't that hard to make. A salami sandwich and a Hawaiian pizza roll and 2 gravy. We had to wait a long time. And we weren't the only ones waiting. They have good bread and enough choice of sandwiches and sweet treats. Too bad it went like this today

They put the bun in some machine where it came out crispy on the outside and warm on the inside! Then the bun was deliciously & generously topped and the rise was definitely worth it 👍🏻

Delicious food, but only after 40 minutes our bestselling was included and another 30 minutes later our coffees were delivered and ten minutes later two sandwiches. Very inefficient! We paid for two hours of parking and barely saw Doesburg because we spent so long at the bakery for an easy lunch....

Zoek niet verder. Loop een klein stukje door. De lekkerste lunch in Doesburg eet je hier. En ook nog heerlijke koffie! Onverwacht goed en bij toeval ontdekt.

Nothing to say bad.... Everything was excellent.... Very friendly staff

Had lunch. Old cheese sandwich. (It's okay to have a little more cheese!) with apple syrup and Doesburg mustard? There was way too much apple syrup, too bad. The mustard is great and you can add it to your own taste. Delicious coffee👍. Tip for the owner: THERE ARE ALWAYS CUSTOMERS IN THE BUSINESS WHO NOTICE EVERYTHING! You DO NOT put a sandwich that falls out of the bag on the floor back in the sandwich bag... then one less sandwich!!... so hygienic!! Big plus: Nice, friendly service👍 Cozy atmosphere👍 Wide choice of bread, pastries and other delicacies 👍even small gifts available.

The breakfast is really really good, you have to go there 😊

Had coffee and something tasty with 20 people. Helpful and friendly staff. Doesburg looked cozy and beautiful. I will definitely come back again.

Toppers always tasty sandwiches

Had coffee with a sausage roll and one with hazelnut pastry, which was delicious.

I think it is a very nice place, only if you sit outside on the terrace And if you want to eat your sandwich, there is so much smoke there that it is not pleasant for a non-smoker to sit outside

At Bertram en Brood in Doesburg we received friendly and prompt service. The menu was fine and the price was average. The lettuce looked fresh. This is a great place for lunch. And don't forget Doesburg and the surrounding area are also recommended.

We enjoyed a file américaine sandwich with 2 soft drinks on the terrace. For a small pistolet and a small round brown sandwich, you have to wait more than half an hour and pay an outrageous price of 9 euros per sandwich. Not recommended

This afternoon (May 1, 2024) it was not very positive, we had to wait a very long time, more than 45 minutes before we got something to drink and eat! Pity!

Lovely place with really nice stuff and fresh various options. Opens early in the morning if you like to have your breakfast in the silence of the morning 🌅 Definitely recommend!

You see a lot of bakeries with lunchrooms in Germany, but hardly any in the Netherlands. So yes here. Excellent menu with a wide choice of generally bread dishes. Enjoyed a tasty carpachio sandwich.

Had a delicious coffee here. Coffee from Peeze with a delicious cookie (Jan Hagel). Elsewhere in Doesburg no one from the service came to us, here within five seconds after we were seated! Excellent service and friendly staff.

Zo'n ruime keuze aan lunchgerechten hadden we nog niet eerder gezien. Heerlijk gegeten in een gezellige lunchroom. Vriendelijk personeel. Aanrader!

Heerlijk broodje bal met saus en een broodje gezond. Daarnaast super vriendelijk personeel. Aanrader.

Het bestelde broodje hamburger en warm vlees waren erg lekker. Het is inderdaad wel een plekje waar we de volgende keer niet voorbij lopen.

Goede kwaliteit broodjes, interieur kan een likje verf gebruiken. Tafels niet al te schoon, zeker als het warm is zijn plakkende tafels een ergernis. Bij 2e bezoek iets beter allemaal. Tafels waren schoon. Interieur kan nog steeds een likje verf gebruiken.

Leuke plek, goed eten. Helaas kijkt het personeel niet naar mensen, je kunt niets bestellen aan de balie, totale chaos. Vol personeel achterin, niemand vooraan.
