Mertcan Abi is a very sweet owner. Very caring, attent and respects boundaries. The pizza feels fresh, with nice ingredients and the option of having Rakı is always welcome in Amsterdam!

First of all, the pizza is amazingly delicious. I came here for food, and it turns out that they also have a stand-up comedy show. We have a feeling we will become regulars here. The space is pretty, but I don't have the confidence to capture this atmosphere in photos, so I'll just leave pictures of the food. Come and see for yourself. Take a look at the handsome boss’s face too.

The owner is a remarkable person—personally greeting guests, cooking, and sharing the story behind each dish. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as if visiting an old friend. And the food… The taste is divine! Every dish is an explosion of flavors and emotions, as if each bite holds a piece of love and craftsmanship. Most importantly, this place is not just about great food—it’s a place you’ll want to come back to! Conclusion: I’m lucky to meet wonderful people and enjoy incredible food!

It's been a long time since I ate a real pizza... Unprecedented quality in Amsterdam... I was able to enjoy a real pizza like before... It was so nice that I completely forgot about the time... Wonderfully informal, like the Amsterdam of the past.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! The food is delicious, and the special thing is that there is no set menu; the chef prepares something different every day depending on what is available. The pizzas are absolutely recommended. You can just ask the chef what's on the menu, and there's always something you like. The atmosphere is fantastic, relaxed and cozy, with a nice background music list that completes the experience. The prices are also very reasonable. In short, for those who want to try something different, this is a must! Enjoy your meal!

Bij Barba has been the go-to place for me and my loved ones for the past three years, anf hopefully many more! Located in West, close to a busy street yet the feeling of the fuss is not noticeable due to the cozy and friendly atmosphere. The new starter in the changing menu, fresh anchovies with pickled red onion and tomatoes on a soft and cripsy pizza dough goes magically with the creamy nutty burrata. I always go for pizza Margherita and it never fails to hit the spot. The owner and chef is by far the loveliest man to meet and chat with, has a profound passion for what he does and always gets to greet every customer and create a family like experience. Highly recommend this gem ❤️ p.s. notice the gorgeous starter plates;)

If you are in to “old-school” pizza, you should visit them, but if you are in for different tastes created by the owner then you should definitely visit this place. Don’t expect a menu but ask the chef what he has created that day, and boy you’ll be treaded with the most delicious dishes. I would highly recommend this place👌

What a host! I’ve never felt so welcomed walking into a pub before. We didn’t try the food as we had plans elsewhere, but the smell alone has made me want to come back. Can’t wait to try!

we lazen op een andere review dat deze plek een aanrader is. Niks is minder waar. we hebben spijt dat we hier niet eerder heen zijn gegaan. Eten was super lekker, en goed van kwaliteit. De eigenaar doet alles zelf en met liefde. en dat straalt er ook van af!

Leuk kleinschalig cafeetje waar je heerlijk kunt eten. Klein terrasje aanwezig zodat je ook buiten van je diner kan genieten. De bediening is altijd vriendelijk en bekwaam, meestal ook met humor, als de eigenaar met het goede been uit bed is gestapt natuurlijk. Verder een erg leuke zaak die ik altijd aan beveel bij mensen. Probeer zeker de pizza, die wordt bereid in een houtoven en is heerlijk.

Wow. Veel meer kan ik niet zeggen. Als je buiten staat kan je absoluut niet vermoeden dat je hier zo heerlijk kan eten. Daarnaast voelt alles als thuis en voel je je direct welkom. Het eten lijkt simpel, maar zit vol met verrassingen en nuances en dat ook nog eens voor een hele normale prijs. Ons nieuwe favoriete restaurant waar we zeker heel vaak gaan eten.

Heerlijk eten ! Prachtige gerechten , heel mediterraans , verse ingrediënten de pizza is echt een aanrader en zeer vriendelijk personeel !

Wil je een subtiele smaak met een persoonlijke touch bij elke gerecht, dan ben je op het juiste adres. Ik ken ze van hun oude restaurant, interieur is weer vanouds gezellig. Betreft het keuken hebben ze zichzelf wederom overtroffen. Vernieuwing is hier het key word. De pizza was heerlijk met de 4 soorten kaas, heerlijke bijpassende Turkse rode wijn erbij gedronken.
