Arguably one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had!

A really nice place with good food and friendly service. The matcha they serve is ordered from a wholesaler, who pre-mixes the powder with sugar, so you don't get real matcha, but a sugar bomb. This isn't mentioned on their menu, so I assumed it was real matcha. I can't have sugar, especially not that much. Unfortunately, I still had to pay for the matcha, arguing that matcha is served with sugar everywhere in the Netherlands, which isn't true. A tip: please state on the menu that the matcha is pre-mixed with sugar; this prevents confusion and doesn't force customers to pay for something they didn't order. Otherwise, it's a really great place!

The food was not good. The continental and English breakfasts were not appealing and the quality wasn’t great. I really don’t recommend this place.

Had a fantastic breakfast here. The sandwich and soup were lovely, and my partner had the pancakes and said it was ‘one of the best breakfast’s she’s ever had’. They had gluten free bread for me, we felt welcome and noticed the server double checking ingredients to make sure they were safe. Would highly recommend :)

It is a nice place with a boat and friendly staff. Their breakfasts look extensive on the menu but they disappoint with how little protein they contain. You normally expect two eggs on a breakfast and a few slices of a cold cuts, but they give you one of each… Still, their croissants are quite OK and coffee is great.

The service is friendly and very helpful. We had a bit of a back-and-forth with tables because people joined us halfway through, and the staff handled it brilliantly. The food is definitely worth the visit. The smoothies are especially recommended. All in all, a lovely spot to enjoy your lunch in Delft!

This is hands down the (bij) best breakfast/lunch cafe in town. The food looks and tastes amazing. Compared to other establishments, bij best delivers the best price/quality in my opinion. The location is perfect. It's not in the busiest area and they offer seating on the canal if the weather is good 😊

Absolutely amazing. Getting an elaborate breakfast on a Sunday afternoon is a luxury. Great spot. We got a seat next to the canal, was super zen. Ordered the bij Best breakfast, Absolutely LOVED it! Great location, the terrace boat has a very atmospheric atmosphere. The only downside is that it takes an unusually long time. A 45-minute wait for two sandwiches is not really okay. Breakfasts are tasty, but if you serve a croissant and two slices of bread, then add one mini slice of cheese and one mini slice of ham, you're left with bread without any toppings. More toppings with breakfast, please! Otherwise, it's excellent, 4 stars overall.

We had a great time on your barge, dogs are welcome and spoiled. The brunch plate is great, you can go there with your eyes closed :))

Besides their famous Bij Best Breakfast, I strongly recommend adding a Banana bread to your order. By far the best banana bread I’ve had. Their service is super nice as well. My omelette was a bit salty to my taste, and they quickly made me a new one after I brought it up to the staffs.

Quickly picked up a breakfast to take home. Surprisingly delicious. My daughter also got a kids' breakfast. Unfortunately, when we got home, it turned out there wasn't any lemonade or a surprise, but that can happen. We'll check next time we make it. I have nothing but good things to say about the food.

Just walked out. Horrible service. Sat in the blistering sun for 15-20 minutes without even an offer of a drink. Employees playing on their phones and disinterested.

Really nice place, with really delicious sandwiches! Super sweet staff too, always a smile when I pass by. I can be found there regularly to enjoy on the boat or to work hard on school inside. Definitely recommended!

Another one of those places overrated by the ratings, but which we ended up going to, fooled by them. We were only there for breakfast, but the options weren't extensive or delicious. Quite expensive, and the waiter had a rather arrogant attitude. I won't be back.

Best used to be a household name, with award-winning sandwiches and delicious roasted chicken. Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated considerably. You now pay €20 for a salad that is nothing more than a simple salad mix with smoked chicken from the supermarket. Very disappointing.

Lovely place to have a weekend breakfast in Delft. My wife and I visited on Holy Saturday (19-04-2025) and although we did not have a reservation we were given a table (on high chairs, but we were happy with that). The menu is quite large, we chose to have (and share) the continental breakfast and the homemade banana bread. It was enough for each of us, but if you want to make sure you have that "full feeling" after breakfast then I recommend getting the continental breakfast for yourself only. Getting just the banana bread would not be enough to give you that "full feeling". The ambiance was pleasant and the staff were quick and efficient, although I would not necessarily say friendly. Overall, we are happy with the choice we made and happy to recommend to others visiting Delft and needing a place to eat breakfast around 09:30 am on a given Saturday!

Had a very delicious meal with the family on Easter Sunday. Great service and a nice atmosphere. The "Deuce Point" surprising combination is recommended, especially if you include the bacon.

Bij Best is one of our favorite places in Delft for breakfast, lunch or just a delicious coffee. An extensive and accessible menu in an attractive restaurant. In the summer, Bij Best has a terrace boat in front of the door where you can optimally experience the atmosphere of Delft. One of the few breakfast/lunch restaurants where you can make a reservation! Compliments for a hospitable and enthusiastic team.

The sandwiches are bland and ok like you would expect. The soup and small snacks are 10 on 10.

The weather was nice so we were looking for a lunch place with a terrace. At 'bij best' they have a small terrace (1 bench and a table with 2 chairs), but we were lucky because 2 people were just leaving. We were sitting in the sun and you are sitting on a small road overlooking a canal so you can enjoy people watching. The service was very nice. They have special combinations for lunch. These are not standard sandwiches. I went for the children's menu. My sister had a bratwurst and my girlfriend a sandwich with cheese and omelette (Eggs Squisit). We had sweet potato fries with it. This one is definitely recommended. It is very tasty and crunchy. We had truffle mayo with it, but they were actually very tasty without it. The Butter scotch latte macchiato is also highly recommended! 1) Terrible! I don't recommend it, I will never come back! 2) Too bad, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Ok, nothing wrong with that, but nothing special, nice for once. 4) Fine, worth coming back. 5) Excellent! I recommend, I will definitely come back!

Great experience! We went there for brunch. When asking to leave the chicken off, they were thoughtful enough to put a slice of cheese in its place! Everything was super tasty, very friendly staff and the price was right! Really worth it if you are in Delft! Booking in advance is recommended, it was pleasantly busy!

Service is nice but food is not what we expected. We ordered pancakes, they were soggy as they were bought from supermarket, ( I think they were from Albert Heijn) pretentious but not so delicious food. The combination they created with yoghurt and granola was also not brilliant. I don’t recommend.

Ordered the Crazy Croissant based on the item from @renze on RTL4. Beautiful crispy croissant with delicious bitterballen. Highly recommended for you if you are in picturesque Delft. And not to forget, the very friendly people in the service!

Gezellig drukke lunchtent met een huiselijke sfeer. Uitgebreide kaart met onder andere all day breakfast en diverse broodjes. De broodjes zijn ware kunstwerken. Ik had van het all day breakfast menu de Drizzelisious. Absoluut een aanrader! De smaak was echt tongstrelend en ook dit was zeer mooi opgemaakt op het bord. Personeel was ook super vriendelijk en enthousiast. Zelfs toen het super druk was bleef men aandacht voor je hebben. Kortom, zeer goeie eerste ervaring met dit restaurant. Hier komen we zeker nog een keer terug.

Pleasantly busy lunch tent with a homely atmosphere. Extensive menu including all-day breakfast and various sandwiches. The sandwiches are true works of art. I had the Drizzelisious from the all day breakfast menu. Definitely recommended! The taste was really delicious and it was also very beautifully presented on the plate. Staff was also super friendly and enthusiastic. Even when it was super busy, people continued to pay attention to you. In short, very good first experience with this restaurant. We will definitely come back here again.

What a nice place. We had a lovely lunch with the four of us and we were all enthusiastic. They score very high in terms of quality and your prepared plate is a treat to see. Had a delightful breakfast here! The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, and the food, made with fresh ingredients, was both delicious and satisfying without being too heavy. The cozy atmosphere made for a perfect dining experience. The only small issue was the plate size for the ‘bij best breakfast’ being a bit too small for the portion, but everything else was fantastic.

Review of "The Unit" Sandwich Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this sandwich to anyone. It was way too basic and bland, with no character or special touch. Essentially, it’s just three slices of bread one spread with pesto another with some kind of cream cheese, cold bacon, and a couple of slices of “kip file”. The three slices of cheese looked stale, and the salad leaves were the cheapest you can find in the supermarket… The presentation? 1 out of 10. Although everything was fresh, what I saw on the plate did nothing to whet my appetite.
