Delicious and plentiful meat. The place is cozy. But... besides the meat, there's very little on your plate. The waitresses try their best, but it just doesn't work. It's all small things that are easily fixed: ask what beer you want, put your beer on a coaster, ask if you want some bread, don't just ask the man if he wants another drink, don't put on the website that you can't make reservations for the terrace during the day if you do want to make dinner, and above all: make sure dessert is served at the same time.

The food was delicious, the beer menu was great and extensive, and the hostess was very friendly! Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We had a wonderful dinner with friends on the patio. We had the spare ribs and steak pasta. Both were delicious! The desserts were also delicious: the cheesecake and the tiramisu. Highly recommended.

Recently had dinner here with my wife. I only had a main course (pasta with asparagus). It tasted great, but the amount was unbelievable: so bizarrely little!! There was 1 thin green asparagus and 1 white asparagus in the pasta. After I finished the food, I barely felt like I had eaten. This was indicated twice, but they did nothing with it other than 'we will pass it on'. Then we got the bill. For that money I expect a sufficiently large portion (I'm a normal eater). Only ate a few sandwiches at home. No more Bij Hofackers for us….

Visited here on Wednesday evening, made a quick reservation by phone and sat down, not knowing what to expect. The restaurant is situated just outside of Baarlo on the side of a cross junction. It has a nice terrace outside and a lot of nice seats inside the renovated farm house. The inside is very spacious, with twists of modern and older decorations, but it all breathes a relaxing slightly high end atmosphere. Your eyes dart around to find something new. Staff was very attentive and smiled kindly, from our seat we could see into the kitchen where the staff was also clearly enjoying themselves. Kitchen looked very clean, as did the restaurant itself. We had garlic bread for starter, just to share a bite and the fresh warm bread was a really nice way to start off dinner. The rest of the menu was varied with a lot of options, even having an asparagus menu if you are into those. After we finished our bread, we were asked if we wanted our mains, which was a nice question to ask. Seeing we were chatting away and having a nice time. Main course was really nice, a giant, well prepared pork cutlet with an amazing BBQ sauce and grilled vegetables. My friend had the chef’s burger and said it was one of the best he had eaten. After dinner we had dessert and while I am normally not wowed quickly, the white chocolate cheesecake with the grilled peach and peach/orange puree was just sublime. Plating was spot on and it was clear this staff knew what they were doing. It is a shame I don’t live nearby, but I’d return here in a heartbeat for great food and a relaxing atmosphere!

Had Easter lunch today which was very disappointing, the asparagus soup was really mealy and no asparagus to be seen, which was a shame. The mini sandwiches were bone dry and had little toppings. The dessert was all from Hanos, nothing special, a shame. The staff is super friendly and professional, really helpful and nice

Once again we had a nice meal. Too bad there isn't a little bit of lettuce or vegetable garnish with the main course. Food was very tasty but looks a bit plain.

This converted stable served as a showroom and now as a restaurant. A very nice added bonus is that you can also enjoy a delicious meal in a cozy atmosphere. Definitely worth repeating. Thanks for the atmosphere 😉

We had an incredibly delicious meal. Delicious soup as a starter, the meat of the main course was just right and the dessert topped everything off. Beautiful location and what is very nice, there is enough space without losing atmosphere. Just being able to have a nice chat without listening to the conversation of the people next to you 😊

Christmas dinner at Hofackers. Went for the first time last year. It was so good that we made a reservation again this year. Once again very tasty this year, nice atmosphere and very good and professional service. It was a pleasure to enjoy Christmas dinner again.

Unfortunately for the restaurant it was very quiet when my wife and I were there. Full attention to us from the staff. We like the atmosphere. You can have a wonderfully intimate meal there. There is a very extensive menu. Something for all dining needs. The steak beauf of 500.... I have never eaten such a tasty one. When the weather is nice, a large terrace outside.

Not for me. Simple dishes with little flavor. This makes the price much too high. Drinks service much too slow. Agreed for me, but.. unfortunately I don't think it's a good idea to pay extra for everything you order, better all in price. What a luxury, closed 2 days a week!!!! ?????? Get a response about my review after 11 months..... Sent email. but no response yet.!? It will probably take another 11 months. If you read the reviews you will see that many people think the same about your recipe (pay extra everywhere)

Had dinner with you yesterday on the beautiful terrace. Extensive menu, delicious food. The staff is pleasant and super friendly. I read in many reviews that people are concerned about the prices. On the other hand, the portions are really generous and the food is fresh and tasty. I would happily pay a little more for that. In my opinion, an excellent price-quality ratio.

Plus: location, parking, design, furniture, atmosphere. Minus: expensive, hamburger is nothing, paying extra for all side dishes is not don in the Netherlands. As a result, a simple hamburger becomes too expensive and you eat steak in other places. Too bad a missed opportunity, I see that more people are struggling with that problem. Perhaps the menu needs to be adjusted. Nobody eats a hamburger alone on the plate. This looks like the advertising menu 17.75 come in. And then fries cost €3 to €4.75, vegetables cost €4.50 and lettuce cost €2.50. ?? Too bad it's a beautiful location, but it all comes down to the food and certainly the price. Today, July 27, response from restaurant. thanks for message. I stick to my opinion and if you can choose something, instead of fries, put a nice baked potato on the menu or potato croquettes. For the salad, something like macaroni salad or other salads than just what you serve as standard. Then it suits you better with your "luxury meat." Gezellige zaak, iets te harde muziek naar mijn mening. Kwaliteit is prima. Toch zullen we niet gauw meer terug komen omdat: Op een gereacht Na (zalm) zijn alle gerechten steak, spare ribs gerechten. Jammer, mag ik niet hebben dus als je geen rood vleest wilt dan heb je hier weinig te zoeken., helaas.

Do you have to pay extra for fries €3 with mayo or sweet potatoes €4.75 why not potato croquettes or fried potatoes. Vegetables e.g. grilled €4.50 green salad €2.50. Then it all becomes very expensive. Why is this chosen? Then ask for 25 euros and after choosing 2 side dishes, you will not have any waste if that is the idea.

How can you give 3 stars if the food, service and atmosphere are good? Very simple: it is far too expensive in comparison. Take the Mexican Burger for example. This hamburger has very little filling for the price. The taste is good, but because you also want to add extras such as fries, the total price for this burger is well over 20 euros. For this price I expect a TOP burger, and not a burger that I can make at home in a few minutes... Everything else is great!

Das Essen war gut. Was schade war das Rumpsteak komplett ausverkauft war, es war ein wenig kühl war und wir wurden auf zwei Tische aufgeteilt. Ich muss allerdings dazusagen das wir mit 14 Personen (mit Kindern) waren. Die Lokalität als solches sah gut aus und die Sitzplätze waren sehr bequem.

Leuke zaak. Mooie inrichting. Maaltijdsalades zijn erg klein. Brood, frietjes, groente enz. Moet je los bijbestellen. De naam is ondertussen veranderd in Bij Hofackers. Sinds zomer 2023 van eigenaar veranderd.

Geweldige service van Marleen. Zo gezellig en romantische inrichting. Eten heerlijk van smaak. Veel parkeergelegenheid.

Prima ambiance, prachtig terras, Vriendelijke mensen, heerlijke gerechten; wat wil je nog meer?

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit wirklich tollem Ambiente! Man musste recht lange auf das Essen warten. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel mit Pilz Sauce und Pommes dazu. Das war schon sehr lecker, wenn auch etwas fettig.

Wow, wat zit je hier fijn! Ruim, mooi uitzicht, fijne stoelen. Heerlijk gegeten. De tonijn was helaas op, maar de kabeljauw uit de oven was fantastisch. Ook de ribeye was zalig. Uitstekend gebakken. Lekkere saus, goede garnituur. Fijne Italiaanse witte wijn (Babbio). De rode wijn (Malbec) was een tikje aan de koude kant. Mooie desserts. Wij komen zeker terug!
