Bij Koster in Centrum

What a lovely spot to sit on a terrace; it was very hot, but here I sat comfortably in the shade enjoying tasty mini pancakes and a delicious fresh orange juice. Now that is pure enjoyment. With friendly staff who pay attention to the customers. All in all, a great experience :)

An incredibly nice little place! Delicious food and super friendly service! The owner is a very sweet lady with a real eye for her guests; she is very interested, empathetic, and honest. She doesn't mince words, and that makes her a fun, spontaneous lady whose energy is palpable throughout the entire place. Top notch!

Places like this are in danger of dying out in Arnhem, and that is precisely why I choose to go here instead of to a chain across the street. The staff is personal, and the owner in particular (at least, I guess she is) knows her trade in hospitality like no other. It has a nice, relaxed atmosphere; they dress it up nicely during the holidays, and you can play a game in peace or simply stare into space in silence. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place where you feel very welcome. We ended up here by accident once, and since then, whenever we are in Arnhem, we have to go here. Super friendly and attentive staff, and the food is delicious too. And you are welcome to bring your dog along. Highly recommended....

Extremely surprised!! Our 3-year-old daughter really needed to poop. My husband walked to the toilet with my daughter, but we were removed from the toilet by the owner and told we weren't allowed to use it because we weren't going to eat or drink. My husband offered to pay for it. But then we were kicked out with my daughter, after which my daughter pooped in her pants and was very upset. I find this truly outrageous. Our daughter is doing her best to keep her potty training under control as a 3-year-old and naturally has absolutely no idea where she can or cannot go to the toilet. As the owner, you are too incompetent to be customer-friendly towards a 3-year-old girl.

From the outside, it looks a bit like an old-fashioned brown pub, but inside it is quite modern. It is cozily decorated. The staff is very nice. The standard items are on the menu (such as carpaccio), but they also have pancakes. I will definitely come back here again. Legend 1) Terrible! I advise against it, I will never come back! 2) Disappointing, below my expectations, I won't come again. 3) Okay, nothing wrong with it, but not special, nice for one time. 4) Fine, worth coming back for. 5) Excellent! I recommend it, I will definitely come back!

Inhospitable and inflexible café/restaurant that declined to accept customers with children. There are many cafés with nicer staff around the Arnhem city center.

Delicious banana pancake, I couldn't have made it myself.

Meh coffee, overpriced pancakes and not very friendly owner. Went there for coffee, my girlfriend also wanted the Nutella and banana pancake. The pancake was €12 and it was nothing special, in fact disappointing. It was a small pancake (~20cm) with a third of a cut banana inside, some sprinkled cinammon and a 25 gram Nutella pot on the side so that you spread it yourself. In my opinion €12 is a lot for such a mediocre piece of pancake and I told my opinion to the waitress who then transfered it to the owner. After a while the owner came to our table and she addressed our opinion with a defensive attitude. She first said that it's expensive because Nutella is expensive (it's the 1/6th of the whole price, 2/12 euros). I argued that because a normal pancake is €10 euros for them, but a Nutella pancake is €12 so it doesn't cover that much of the price. She then made a comment about the whole prices in the city center and how she has the cheaper options for pancakes, which is not true, there are places with better pancakes for a better price, I don't know if I'm allowed to mention therefore I won't. She also made a comment about her and her workers speaking Dutch which I did not quite get. The whole Convo was in English btw.

We expressed our thoughts about the price of what we ordered(panenkoek met nutella en banaan) being high for the quality we received, and the owner came to us with an aggressive way to justify it because “nutella is expensive”(we only got 25g of it). Then she mentioned that she speaks Dutch and so do the employees there which i don’t even know what she meant by that because we speak English, and why did it even mattered, as language had nothing to do with the whole conversation. Bad experience!

What a charming and charming restaurant! Excellent lunch menu and great value for money. Friendly owner and staff! We'll definitely be back!

A very unpleasant experience. Because of the rain, we quickly sought shelter under a Bij Koster umbrella. However, it was immediately retracted (while I was still standing under it!?!). She closed the umbrella with a smile and explained that this wasn't supposed to happen.

Here you can relax and eat well. Staff is great.

An extremely nice place to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city center. Nice atmosphere, extensive and high-quality (lunch) menu, tasty and beautifully presented. The staff and hostess are excellent and make you feel welcome. Absolutely recommended.

Altijd naar de fraaie gevel gekeken en als Arnhemmer nog nooit binnen geweest. Vandaag zijn we, op zoek naar een lunchgelegenheid, daar toch binnen gestapt. Een heel gezellige huiselijke sfeer heerst er daar. We werden uiterst vriendelijk bediend. Twee maal een uitsmijter en eenmaal brood met twee croquetten. Daarbij dronken we enkele wijntjes. Lekker!!! Goedkoop? Nee, maar we hebben er heerlijk gegeten en gedronken in een fijne ambiance. Conclusie: het was het geld waard. We komen er beslist nog eens terug.

The wild mushroom croquettes are really good. I don't really like the truffle mayonnaise, but the croquettes were perfect.

We called into this small, but very pleasant café as it came onto rain. The table service was very polite and we ordered two coffees which were €3 each. The coffee was good. We enjoyed our brief visit.

Koster is a wonderful place to catch your breath after a visit to the city. The owner is a hardworking woman with a passion for her business. She and her staff always welcome you with a smile. The menu is varied, but we usually opt for the delicious cevapcici (also an ode to the roots of the owner). As far as we know, Koster is also the only place in Arnhem where they serve cevapcici. Today I didn't feel like sitting on the terrace, so I called to ask if we could also pick up 2 portions of cevapcici, and this was no problem at all! We also received a nice gift when my partner came to pick up the food.

Very unfriendly staff. No 'good afternoon' upon arrival, but 'two seconds'. When it took a very long time and we wanted to go, we were told that we were 'impatient youth'. Good food but hostile atmosphere.

Vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel! Lekkere pannekoek en gezellig plekje om wat te drinken en eten! Huiskamersfeer met nog mooie vensterbanken en luiken! Mooie wc en vloer! Ook zeer schoon!

Als lunch broodje runder cappaccio besteld €11,- al redelijk aan de prijs als je het mij vraagt, vraag wit of bruin. Bruin omdat het gezonder is, tot mijn verbazing lees ik op het hotel terug dat ik €0’80 extra heb betaald voor bruin brood. Dit heb ik nog nooit nergens ooit meegemaakt, Horeca is zichzelf de das ah omdoen, waar slaat dit op……… had mailtje gestuurd met de vraag klopt dit maar om die te beantwoorden is natuurlijk te veel gevraagd, vervelende klanten ook. Hier zien ze mij nooit meer terug, afzetterij vd bovenste plank

De eerste keer dat ik hier was dronk ik koffie zonder caffeine. De eigenaresse gaf aan dat deze koffie niet haar specialiteit was en is toen naar een lokale koffiespeciaalzaak gerend om heerlijke decaf bonen aan te schaffen. Dit gebaar verteld in een keer het hele concept. Een super tent waarbij contact met het team heel normaal is en aandacht voor de klanten voorop staat. Bovendien is het eten heerlijk en mooi opgemaakt. Sindsdien kom ik hier graag en blijf ik hier komen. Arnhem heeft dit soort heerlijke plekjes nodig. Lokaal, spontaan en aandacht voor klanten. Ps de chai latte is een aanrader

Helemaal top ! Eten is super lekker.

Broodje favoriet genomen, cevapcici. Luchtig brood met goed gekruid vlees, fetakaas, yoghurt en groente garnering. Het is lekker! Dit lunchcafé is gezellig, de bediening is hartelijk en klantgericht. Je krijgt goed aandacht als gast hier. De inrichting is mooi en niet onbelangrijk de menukaart is gevarieerd met betaalbare prijs. Ik kom hier graag terug om andere broodjes te proberen.

This place is a gem in the centrum! The communication from very friendly & helpful staff make you feel welcomed. Foods are served in big portions, cosy atmosphere..The prices are certainly reasonable. I can recommend cevapcici as the taste is exceedingly delicious. We would love visit here again when we're nearby.

DUUR in verhouding met wat je krijgt. Als lunchgerecht verwacht ik niet een klein dun rond boterhammetje te krijgen, waarna je friet op de markt gaat kopen omdat je niet genoeg gegeten hebt. Hier kom ik niet meer.

Wat een leuke plek! Gezellig ingericht, vriendelijk personeel en heerlijk eten. Wij aten de toast met zalm en scrambled eggs met 2 warme croissants en een verse jus d’orange. Ook de koffie was heerlijk!

Gezellig hoor. Als startpunt van een dagje shoppen. Net op tijd, want ze moesten zelfs mensen weg sturen.

Leuk zonnig terras , personeel is best vriendelijk. Ik vind het heeeeeel duur. Je bestelt een clubsandwich en krijgt maar 1 sneetje brood en dat voor 12 a 13 euro. Verder was het eten wel lekker hoor.
