It has a good variety of food options, vegan, gluten free, etc. There is something for everyone:) Also it is not some basic boring brunch as for usual. The coffee was very delicious!

Visited Birdflower, one of the most anticipated cafés on our list, located in Weimarstraat, West Den Haag. We’ve heard about this place quite a few times, and a friend even told us that their bakery items often sell out before lunch! So, we decided to go early and be there right when it opened. And honestly, it was absolutely worth it. We tried the Almond Croissant and Kimchi Cheddar Croissant. Both were incredibly good! Perfectly baked, flaky, and flavorful. For drinks, we had a Cappuccino and Flat White, both fresh and well-balanced. We even grabbed a Pistachio Cookie for takeaway because we were so impressed. It was also delicious! One tip: if you arrive right at opening, not all the bakery items may be ready yet, so you might miss some fresh batches. But if you come too late, the early ones might already be sold out, so it’s a fun little gamble! All in all, a truly amazing café experience. It is cozy, high-quality, and definitely recommended!

Don't do it, I made a reservation. I stood at the closed door for 5 minutes and then got a message saying there was no more room.

First off: food is phenomenal. Tried the kimchi toastie and the green patch with steak. Fantastic. Coffee is great too. Service is a little impersonal, but very forgivable when the food is this good! The interiors are lovely. Cookie for dessert was also to die for.

I love this place. They have good treats. But honestly last couple of weeks the croissants have been shrinking or at least some of them as it appears. I don’t mind paying €3,2 for a good croissant but keep the size real 😅

A lovely, personal atmosphere. Cozy, friendly, and dynamic. Plenty of delicious food to choose from. It's a shame there weren't any savory options when I visited, which was still relatively early in the day (11:00 AM). I chose several items to take home, some of which I received in a nice to-go box. Very tasty sweets. The elderflower cream was a bit less enthusiastic, but the straciatella chocolate donut was delicious, as was the pistachio cookie. Friendly service. Plenty of seating, though it might take a while to get a spot, but there was a reasonable turnover.

The place is packed, tables small, seats not so comfortable so it's basically designed to eat quickly and go. Pastries are great, I recommend trying them to go! Coffee not to my taste. Service is busy obviously so don't expect great attention. Overall a good neighborhood option. Will try it on weekdays to see if it's less busy.

my heart is broken because they‘re closed at tusedays and wednesdays :( I am in love with this place! The taste is amazing, everything‘s homemade and fresh. The people are nice, and the ambience is very nice. All in all a wonderfull place with very good vibes! One of my favorite cafés!

Locally-sourced café with changing menu. Today's menu wasn't super special. You can tell though that everything is great quality. The tofu burger had some nice bread bun and the chips are served warm and crunchy. The breaded tofu is a nice concept but tasted quite bland (probably the tofu needs some seasoning because tofu is normally quite simple). We loved the harissa mayonese that came with the chips. The oat flat whites were okay, but the foam was too bubbly and the taste, despite being flat white, was quite weak. Califia oat milk is usually quite overpowering and they use that one. There's some improvement to do with the coffees. The treat with the coffees was butter cake, it was nice. The treats at the counter go very quickly. The staff are very friendly and the hand-made pottery cups and water jars are beautiful. Overall, it's nice to see the work at the kitchen from the window.

My family and I have been coming this cafe for the last year and we love it every time. The food selection is great, high quality and absolutely delicious, (notable mention that it is vegan friendly too)! The service is quick and always nice, will continue to be coming back!

Birdflower nails it where it matters most: the pastries are top-notch. They’re beautifully made and genuinely delicious, except for the Chou, which was a letdown. Coffee? Excellent. Smooth, well-balanced, and clearly made with care. Now, the service: not quite up to the same standard. It’s not rude, just disengaged and indifferent. Given how consistently packed the place is, that might explain the lack of attention, but it still takes away from the experience. Bottom line: go for the pastries and coffee, and don’t expect anyone to make you feel particularly welcome while you’re at it.

Cozy cafe! Good coffee and selection of drinks, pastries are very delicious. Food is okay, interesting and more unique combinations and nice to know that it’s made from seasonal ingredients. However, our meal was just okay. Can get quite busy but easy to talk and is never too loud. Very cute tableware!

I had seen Birdflower on TikTok or Instagram and decided to give it a try, and I didn't regret it for a second! What a lovely brunch spot! The portions are large and beautifully presented, a real party on your plate. Everything is beautifully presented: from the beautiful ceramic water carafe to the stylish plates and coffee cups. And the pastries... so beautiful and incredibly tasty! I will definitely come back here when I'm in The Hague again!

I found this place by chance and ordered a hazelnut choux pastry and a latte without doing any research because it looked delicious. It turned out to be a big hit! The choux pastry was a firm choux pastry with a crunchy texture, like what we call it in Japan. The cream inside was also delicious! I'd like to go again.

Fantastic baked goods and quite a few very tasty vegan options. The coffee is great. Everyone there is super friendly and kind, and I feel welcome there.

Loved Birdflower so much I went back the next day! The kimchi toasti was something I will crave and dream of until I return to den Haag. The frittes were good, quite good, but the toasti stole the show! Get it. You won’t regret it! The bread was so crunchy and delicious with cheese and kimchi making an unbeatable combination. I went back the next morning for a great cappuccino and pastry to go. I will be back. Vibe is super chill with indoor and outdoor seating. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

Updating review after a second visit: The service was pretty awkward and a bit cold this time. The menu is also very limited, we had trouble choosing something so all went for a tosti as a safe choice for lunch. Even though the food is really delicious, absolutely no protein options left me a bit sad. Original review: Missed the pastries so got a toasti. They were kind enough to accommodate my savage wishes and add a merguez to my cheese tosti. It was really good and came in a gigantic portion. Tea was good too and came in a pot which is best for lunch/breakfast. They got some pastry reinforcements after I ordered and the cookies looked phenomenal but I am just a girl, standing in front of a cookie after a large meal so it's gonna have to be a next time thing. Can't wait to bring my girlfriend here and get her to try a cookie. She'll be impressed. 😎

Delicious and I love the seasonal concept but I wish they made a bigger batch of pastries! They’re open til 5 if I’m correct but I feel like they are nearly always sold out around 2pm. I don’t feel like the matcha they serve really fits the quality of the rest, it’s not quite vibrant enough in color and flavor.

This is a cute neighborhood cafe with high quality food, but good luck finding a seat. And if you do, it’ll be extremely crowded. The tables are way too close together, too, which doesn’t make for a good experience. With so many people and very few staff, the service will naturally be lacking and you’ll be waiting for your meals quite a while. And if you decide to grab things to go, be prepared to wait - I’ve spent more than 10 minutes waiting in a short line multiple times. At some point, if just stops being worth it… The pastries are really good, one of the best in The Hague, for sure; but they are also a tad overpriced and it’s not like there is much worthwhile competition in the city either…

Nice place, but we arrived at 13:00 and there was no choice of buns and croissants and the brioche that I took was with pasta from the store, but the matcha latte was very tasty

Not recommended. I went here for lunch, and the dish (morning toasted babka) was absolutely inedible, very salty and a strange combination. The matcha wasn't made well either, and it tasted like the milk had gone bad. We spent €42 in total, and I wouldn't go back.

I came in. I wanted to ask something. I said good morning three times, but the two ladies behind the bar were chatting. And they didn't respond. The four times I tried a bit more, but still nothing. I left.

Alternative atmosphere, you have to like it. Tea in ceramic mugs. That's a bit beyond that well-intentioned tinkering. Tea in a glass jar that gets cold very quickly. What I ate wasn't bad, but really overpriced (12.50 for a grilled cheese sandwich?!?). And it's not worth it.

Came here to have a coffee and sit in peace to have my 10am online class. They instead kicked me out because I was having my class in my laptop! How is all the nuisance from the kids, and all noise pollution allowed, but sitting in peace in your laptop is not?

Burger was disaster… no souce only red cabbage cheddar (grilled too long ) and meat ( pretty good to be honest ) and waiting time around 25 min with only ours order it is ridiculous

A cozy place. We got there just before closing time, got some delicious coffee and asked for bread. We were pleasantly surprised that they didn't charge for the bread since it was the end of the day.

Despite good coffee, I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully. I came on a Sunday, ordered, and was told I couldn't use my laptop. After being told to leave if someone else arrived, the waitress kicked me out just 10 minutes later, even before I finished my coffee, because I was alone at a two-person table. Shameful. Be cautious if you want to enjoy a coffee alone on weekends

Fantastically delicious for the eyes and palate. EVERYTHING highly recommended! The breakfast buffet is also available in a vegan version. The cappuccino is delicious. The dishes are exceptional. The staff is very friendly. Dogs seem to be welcome, too. Seating is tight, but sufficient, both inside and outside. The only drawback: foreign card payments are not accepted. :(

My green tea was served in a lovely teapot with elegant cups (although it doesn't look very inviting at first glance). My companion's coffee was also delicious. A full water carafe with two glasses is always on the table. We pass this place often, and it's always busy. From outside, you can always see delicious sandwiches in the display case.

Paar keer geweest en prima koffie en bediening. Veel vegan opties. Jammer dat je er niet glutenvrij iets lekkers.bij kan bestellen.. er zijn wel glutenarme producten beschikbaar maar deze zijn niet geschikt voor coeliakie patiënten. Verder leuke tent!

You sit on top of each other, there is little choice on the menu, small portions and terribly ugly crockery (you can't drink from the mugs properly and they only hold a very small amount).

One of the best cafés in The Hague located in a quiet street. All of the pastries including the croissants, cookies, brownies, and bread are excellent as well as the coffee in a reasonable price point considering the quality. The people working there are also always very sweet and helpful! Vegan options too.

I've been a number of times now and have had a great experience every time. The service is always with a smile, the food is delicious (especially the French toast!). And another highlight is the tableware, a cup of coffee here simply tastes better because of the mug. All in all a very nice breakfast spot!

Had lunch for the first time today. The salad and hot dog were fine. The homemade ice tea with tonic and the most salty fries were disappointing. Report both to the staff, but they respond distantly with that's the way it should be (Icetea) and okay (fries) Too bad, we won't be back.

We spent 40 euros on lunch for 2 people and were still hungry even though we are not big eaters at all.

This is one of my favourite cafe’s in all of Den Haag. The atmosphere is always cozy and relaxed, making it a perfect place for either a hangout with a friend or a solo lunch. The service is always really good, everyone is very hospitable and kind. But best of all are the croissants… I swear you won’t find a better croissant anywhere else!

I absolutely love this little cafe. During my time staying in The Hague for a few months, I visited at least 8 times. Their kimchi toasti is quite literally the best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve ever had in my life. Absolutely fantastic. They’re very creative with meals, and strive to be on the healthier side. It’s very quaint inside (and often quite busy) so service can lack sometimes, but overall this it definitely a gem!

Amazing place for brunch with some incredible seasonal food on offer. If you want something for brunch/lunch and are tired of the usual things on offer in most places, this is the place to go. The spring hash was next-level, the pastries all looked insanely good and the charcoal choux with bourbon and cream was delicious. Can't wait to go back soon.

Very nice sunny terrace in a quiet street. The service was good, and accommodated our large group without reservation for lunch. They have vegetarian options - I liked the pretzel sandwich, very good bread. They ran out of most desserts quite early so I could only try the chocolate cake, very intense but I liked it that way.

The chocolate cake was tasty, the cappuccino was tasty, but the ceramic cups are unhygienic because of cracks in them. This type of tableware is not suitable for catering.

Little cafe in gentrificated neighborhood with so many hipster. And usually when it’s the vibe like this, the food is always bad but this place takes it seriously. I can say that they have the best croissant in the city. And other pastries are always fresh and tasty too. My only problem is their cups, glasses are always smelling like eggs, as a vegan that smell is kind of gross so maybe you guys chech it out your dishwashing filters or whatever..
