Delicious food and friendly staff too, always top...

The menu changed again in June 2024: reduced and expanded. Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame have been added, the tuna salad comes with srirachi sauce as well as the Club Sandwich Chicken Srirachi (not my cup of tea because too spicy/too much sauce). Dishes have been added that are more junk food. There are also many overlaps: salmon salad, salmon sandwich, salmon club sandwich, salmon omelette. That's why 4 stars instead of 5 stars. There is plenty of room for parties and functions: High Tea, baby shower, drinks, Father's Day breakfast. Nice outdoor terrace, the chairs/benches inside are better. Good and friendly service.

I have been to Lunchroom Engelhard several times, including for a number of baby showers and during the Sinterklaas period - and every time it was great again! The baby showers are extremely well taken care of: everything is arranged down to the last detail and the food is delicious every time. It was also a party during Sinterklaas - the place was nicely decorated for the children and there was a nice atmosphere. What always strikes me is the friendly service: nice ladies who really care about the guests. In addition, the lunchroom looks neat and attractive. A really nice place to come back!

Every time I've been here, the food has been ridiculously delicious! The staff is exceptionally attentive. The price/quality ratio is superb... if there's even a single ray of sunshine, I'll be sitting on that terrace!

Unprofessional staff, I was there with 4 people and everything was horrible, I had the chicken salad and it was very soggy , one of my friends had salmon which taste spoiled we had to send it back , my other friend had the Sate sauce which taste burnt , my other friend had soup which she literally vomited because it taste as if they made it from a few days before , This was the worst experience of all time and I’ve been to many restaurants, I would advise against anyone who wants to eat here please Run .

I wanted to enjoy a sunny day with my family at this restaurant, so I decided to order their burger. After being served, I took a bit from it. The meat was frozen, which means that their meat is old, and they just defrost it for each customer. When addressing the matter with the manager I was told to leave. People please do not give these people support because they are unprofessional and unkept.

An ordinary lunchroom. The map is ok. A standard card. But very busy during lunch. So many people think well. Only I wasn't enthusiastic. So that doesn't say much.

Wonderful and atmospheric on Theresiastraat

We love their goat cheese salad, as well as burgers. Recently we enjoyed the toasty with mozzarella and pesto. Smoothies are also delicious, and their coffee is quite good too.

Lunch was overheerlijk, veel keus, sfeer is heel gezellig, erg vriendelijk personeel, goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Had a delicious high tea. With really tasty snacks. The first round was savory, in between a delicious panna cotta and finally an etagere with sweets. Highly recommended!

Een paar keer per maand kom ik hier. Een betere lunchroom weet ik niet. Alles wat ze serveren is heerlijk. Dames die er werken zijn vriendelijk. Je kunt heerlijk op het terras zitten en kijken naar de mensen die voorbijlopen. Een aanrader.

It is a beautiful pink place, where we had a delicious high tea, which consisted of three rounds. The first round consisted of savory snacks and then we had a tasty intermediate round in the form of a kind of pudding and the last round was the sweet round and there was a wide choice of tea.

Heerlijke lunch gehad en de meiden zijn toppers, altijd vriendelijk ondanks dat het soms binnen en buiten druk is. Heerlijke cappuccino en thee.

For my birthday the neighbor gave me lunch. She could not go there due to poor mobility. Then got lunch. And it was, as always, incredibly delicious. We had a salmon brie sandwich, a salmon club sandwich and a ball sandwich.

Personeel is wel aardig, maar als je je drankje gehad hebt, duurt het 20 minuten voordat ze je eten op komen nemen, dat irriteerde me wel. En persoonlijk snap ik dat je babyshowers wilt aanbieden, maar die roze kleur doet echt de straat lelijk en goedkoop eruitzien, geeft geen sfeer.

We reserved for high tea. It started out really well, friendly staff and the savory was tasty. Unfortunately, they must have been understaffed or overbooked because we went long periods of time with zero service. Three times we had to go seek someone to get more hot water, find out about the 3rd course which took dreadfully long, or ask for milk for the tea. That's another thing, they do not offer milk with the tea and if you ask for it they bring you an incredibly small amount or charge you for a whole glass of milk. I don't particularly mind paying extra for the milk, but many people drink their tea with milk, why is it not an option to ask for? The middle course was just sorbet. The sweet course was fine. I was very much ready to leave, though because it's difficult to enjoy things when you must constantly go inside to ask for things.

We enjoyed lunch outside with 14 people. Very fast and friendly service. Good food. Definitely worth repeating and recommended!

Nice, fast and friendly service but the food was disappointing. Roast ham sandwich had an untasty sauce and no great skill at preparing the ham and presenting it. Omelette sandwich the same. Gave feedback and at least they were kind enough to offer a coffee on the house. Which was good.

Good atmosphere and regular customer on Thursdays

A popular restaurant and hangout for people in the area. Coffee baked with Maison Kelder, or a delicious lunch from good chefs, it is very good. They also have newspapers for the customers and an extra room has been added during Covid period. Very cozy and a nice place to have an appointment.

Food is delicious, service excellent, little space between the tables, resulting in little privacy

Nie' best - 1 coffee with oat milk and 1 cappuccino (turned out to be regular black coffee) and 2 apple pies (not warmed up) with whipped cream €18 !!!!!!!!! My father would say “I'll give you that too, you can bone it yourself”

Top high tea, savory and sweet with colleagues. Lots of variety and all equally tasty. Generously filled etagères. Many types of fresh tea. The lunchroom layout is also great with chairs and benches that are comfortable. In short, highly recommended!

After sitting for 10 minutes, I picked up the menu myself. Very quiet inside. After 20 minutes I got up and left because no one came to help while I kept looking friendly and also asked for a menu myself, you would have thought I would have been visible. Everyone after me helped immediately, even the people next to my table...

Alleen eventjes gaan zitten met 10 man, 20 minuten wachten tot er iemand kwam opnemen en nog eens 20 minuten voor de drankjes.... ja het was druk, maar echt niet goed dit.. :( jammer.

It's probably fun for ladies with a baby shower and/or high tea. I saw afterwards that it was aimed at that. For two male colleagues, fine for once. What was disappointing was the reception, we didn't get exactly what we ordered, but it wasn't that bad either. We just ate it. We received the food quickly, which was great considering how busy it was. Afterwards I regretted not choosing the chicken satay. I saw that with my neighbor, who was almost sitting at my table (so crowded).

The food was fantastic, the ambiance was cool with good vibes, but the only downside was one unfriendly staff.

This afternoon he had a high tea with Engelhardt. Quality is okay but not great. A lot from the freezer because it was soggy and also had an aftertaste and the quantity is very substandard. Portions are really way too small. After making a comment about this, they indicated that you should actually eat this after lunch😳. Well, I don't think so. A high tea for 29 euros per person and then dinner beforehand...... Too bad. Unfortunately, the 10% discount I received at checkout did not make up for this for me. Next time elsewhere, not here again.

Cozy atmosphere, nice staff. Tosti Hawaii was very disappointing. Bread was dry and there was only a tiny bit of pineapple in it.

De koffie verkeerd was heerlijk, geserveerd in een hoog glas met een smakelijk koekje erbij. Hoewel het broodje ei veelbelovend klonk, bleek één ei toch wat karig. Desondanks was de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding redelijk in balans.

Af en toe schuiven we even aan bij de meest roze tent van Bezuidenhout op de Theresiastraat. Hij had ook ‘Barbie’ kunnen heten, maar toch is het lunchroom Engelhard. Eigenlijk een echte ouderwetse lunchroom, maar modern (roze) van binnen. Ouderwetse lunchroom duidt hier op top bediening (ze staan meteen aan je tafel en kijken ook rond naar de gasten). Maar ook wat betreft de kwaliteit en kwantiteit van de gerechten. Allemaal top. Dat zoiets nog bestaat?! Ook uniek is het gemêleerde publiek dat er komt?! Geweldig om naar te kijken en tussen te zitten. Eigenlijk zit de tent ook altijd vol. Ook in de zomer is het een feest waarbij er talloze tafeltjes op straat staan. Altijd vol.

Leuk ingerichte lunchroom, vriendelijk personeel, flinke broodjes. Heerlijk gegeten!

20 minuten gewacht voor de bediening kwam vragen wat we wilde eten en drinken. Toen dat eenmaal geserveerd was, bijna iedere 5 minuten de vraag of alles naar wens was.

Super lief personeel en heerlijk eten! Een erg geslaagde babyshower kunnen organiseren door alle hulp. Nogmaals bedankt!

Erg leuke lunchroom en uitgebreid assortiment eten en drinken. Alleen als het druk is met grote groepen worden "kleine" groepen over het hoofd gezien qua bediening.

Sehr schöner Ort um ein Frühstück zu sich zu nehmen. Es gibt ein gutes Angebot an verschiedenen Snacks. Die Qualität ist immer gut und das Essen wird schön präsentiert.

Een hele gezellige sfeer, klantvriendelijke bediening . De high tea ivm een babyshower was erg geslaagd.

Hier geweest voor een babyshower met heel uitgebreide high tea. Super goed georganiseerd door Engelhard, hoefden niks te doen en hele prettige en adequate service. Ballonnen en cadeautafel in de hoek waar we zaten. Begonnen met prosecco (evt. alcoholvrij), daarna allerlei broodjes en wrapjes, meer dan genoeg en erg lekker. Daarna nog ijs en daarna nog zoet. En alle gangen ook net zo goede (al dan niet nog uitgebreider) vegan/glutenvrije/lactosevrije opties. Ook onbeperkt thee. Alles even heerlijk en te veel, konden dat mee naar huis nemen. Kan deze plek echt aanraden, in ieder geval voor een babyshower, maar denk ook zeker voor een gewone lunch!

We hebben echt een heerlijke high tea op. De sfeer is heel relaxed en genoeg thee keuze. De dames zijn echt heel aardig!

Ik ken Nieuw Engelhard in de Theresiastraat inmiddels heel goed omdat ik er vaak lunch. Favoriet lunchgerecht is Tonijnsalade/ Latte Macchiato. Omdat ik goed moet opletten op versheid en lang op dieet ben geweest, kan ik niet alles eten wat mijn ogen zouden willen. Bij Engelhard hebben ze zo'n uitgebreide kaart dat er voor elk wat wils is te vinden. Het bedienend personeel is superaardig en voorkomend. Er wordt ook voor speciale gelegenheden geboekt zoals High Tea, Baby Shower, Kerstontbijt incidenteel diner, zo'n 4x per jaar. Ik voel me er vreselijk op mijn gemak en vind Nieuw Engelhard een aanwinst voor de buurt Bezuidenhout.

Prima gelegenheid, het is er ook druk en dat komt doordat het er goed is. Prima eten, leuke vriendelijke bediening en de porties zijn erg groot. Voor senioren misschien zelfs te veel maar dan kun je het eventueel meenemen.

Onlangs een high tea met een groot gezelschap gehad. Hoewel de lunchroom zelf mooi is raad ik de high tea voor een groep helaas niet aan, we vonden allemaal de gangen erg tegenvallen. Voor €25 per persoon mag je wat verwachten. De eerste gang was nog redelijk (vooral een lekker broodje, verder een inspiratieloos wrapje en wat bladerdeeghappen) maar de tussengang (een bakje ijs met een bes) en vooral de zoete gang (een aantal borden met wat mini petit fours en droge scones zonder jam oid schoot te kort en vonden wij niet lekker. We hebben een topmiddag gehad en nogmaals, opmaak van de tafel en decor was mooi maar ik raad engelhard aan de kwaliteit van de high tea wat te upgraden.
