Biryani House in Delfshaven

I went to that place to eat biryani and butter chicken with my family. The food was super tasty and the waitress was super kind. If I have a chance, I will visit that place again.

I ordered food from Biryani House Rotterdam tonight. It was supposed to take a bit longer, but they ended up being 40 minutes late (a total wait of 1 hour and 50 minutes, and I live 5 minutes away). This would have been fine if the food had been edible, but it was so cold that the fried ingredients had already turned into tough bricks, and the bread was hard as if it had just been sitting out in the open. Besides, they forgot an entire dish. I tried to contact them, but their phone number apparently doesn't exist. Never eat there, never order from them.

Food is exceptional. Delivery is terrible. More than 2 hours to receive our food….

I used to order from here very often and loved their food. However I placed an order on their website just a few days back. Order was confirmed and charged to me, however the food never arrived nor did the restaurant ever pick up their phone to issue a refund or so. So now it just feels like a daylight robbery that my money was taken for absolutely nothing and I cannot get in touch with them. Such a shame as I really loved the food from here!!

Biryani house has amazing food and their prices are great but posted hours are not consistent. This is the third time we have come when both google and their website say they are open only to find everything closed up. Super disappointing!

I just had the worst experience ordering from this restaurant! The food may be good, I don’t know because it never came even after I called more than 10 times because it has been more than two hours since ordering. Nobody answered the phone! When on the app said it has been delivered I asked for a refund because the food never arrived, waited more 30 minutes just to receive a message from the app with refund confirmation.. so in total I waited 3 hours for the food that I’ll never get. Very unprofessional service! And the audacity not answering the phone.. I expected more!

Absolutely disgraceful. They took 2 hours and a half to deliver a cold and disgusting sealed tray of garbage food. Not even the naan bread was edible. The driver was not even waiting at the right address. They should be embarrassed. Don't waste your time.

I really regret it, I ordered sultani biryani something like that and it was so tasteless and i felt i wasn’t made on the same day. And its way expensive for 20€. Go to yemeni restaurants like or indian and you will know taste and value. 1/10

I ordered a takeaway meal from Biryani House for the first time today. I ordered the Chicken Karahi, with Pilaf. The presentation is stunningly gorgeous, quantity of food was outstanding and the food was so delicious and hearty, I almost cried because the food was so delicious, the curry was really flavourful and the chicken was really tender! The pilaf and raita were really delicious accompaniments to this outstanding curry! I would definitely eat here again! Excellent Pakistani/Desi/North Indian cuisine for a really competitive and fair price! The ambience of the restaurant felt really nice and cozy and I was surprised by how little time I waited (around fifteen to twenty minutes at most). The restaurant staff were also really kind and their service was impeccable! Perhaps next time I visit Rotterdam, I will dine-in at the restaurant! 1000/10 would recommend if you crave Pakistani/Desi/North Indian cuisine in the Netherlands!

Freshly prepared meat dishes at reasonable prices. It's an ideal spot for a group to share a variety of dishes. There's just one thing I don't understand: why they also have pizza on the menu. Focus on those delicious biryanis and grilled meats, and it's absolutely fantastic!

Como una nueva pareja de la India, esperábamos dar la oportunidad de comprar Biryani de Rotterdam. No suelo dejar comentarios negativos, pero esta experiencia debe ser compartida. Pedí pollo Biryani y me sorprendió encontrar el pollo mal cocinado, IT tiene partes de él visiblemente rosa y de textura gomosa. Este es un gran riesgo para la salud, e IT es inaceptable para cualquier restaurante servir aves de corral que no hayan sido cocinadas adecuadamente. Cuando llamé IT a la atención del personal, la respuesta fue decepcionada ya sea desdeñosa o carente de urgencia de el dueño de la tienda que no me estaba dando la oportunidad de explicar. Espero que se cumplan las normas básicas de seguridad alimentaria, especialmente cuando se trata de pollo, que puede transportar bacterias graves si no se manipula correctamente.

De pizza was very Nice 10 out of 10. The pizzachef was on his own and it was very Busy. At the same time hé was picking up the orders and making pizza and answering the phone calls. Becauss of thuis it took half hour for my pizza. But again the pizza was outstanding.

Never arrive on time when you order. 90 minutes after expected arrival time still not answered. Called, restaurant is closed and they go to see where the visitor is. After 30 minutes still nothing heard. And don't answer anymore after they were supposed to 'check' Worthless. Too bad because the food is good but because of this all really 1 stars. Never called again food never arrived either.

Food has no taste.. the area was too hot and the service they did was too bad

We were craving Indian food and this place was close to our hostel. The food was really good and the service was great as well. We were offered free chai in the end as well. I would highly recommend trying food here if you're around the area.

We had butter chicken and it was delicious! The pilau rice with it but also the garlic naan was of super good quality. We had ordered extra name which was deliciously freshly made. We will definitely come back!

I had walked past Biryani House many times, but today I finally went in. A pleasant surprise. The food was incredibly tasty and clearly prepared with care. The service was friendly and attentive. Good value for money. I will definitely come back here. Recommended.

Pizza Polo like nowhere else! I have never eaten such a delicious Pizza Polo anywhere! The taste, the herbs, the perfect base - everything was right. Freshly prepared and made with love, you can taste that. Definitely recommended for anyone who loves really good pizza!

Very bad experience I waited almost an hour for just two butter chicken meals to take away. When I asked for rice, they said it’s already included — but I didn’t get any rice. The portion was super small, it looked like one portion instead of two, and I paid around 40 euros for this. This is way too expensive for such bad service. I’m really disappointed and won’t come back.

Look at the pictures and compare.. I advise not to go to any Indian, Pakistani or Afghan restaurant in Holland. I tried two restaurants. The pictures on Google are different and the reality is different. The Syrian, Lebanese and Yemeni restaurants are the best.. The taste is sugary sweet and there is no pleasure in it. The salad is chopped and pickled onions are put on it. I ate two spoons because I was hungry and I do not recommend it at all.. The smell of food and I asked for a sign to change the taste. It came to me after I finished eating. For your information, the restaurant was empty, no customers. An experience that will not be repeated and I do not wish anyone to try it.

This place is a typical all purpose gravy factory pretending to serve biryani. Spoiler: dumping chicken gravy on rice isn’t biryani. Call it what it is a saucy mess. And the chicken tikka wrap? Just red-dyed disappointment with zero flavor. If you're gonna name yourself after biryani, at least try to fake it better. Want it even more savage or dialed back a bit?

Atmosphere is good but very hot inside their is no aC and also the service is very low my order came after one hour since I order I do not re command at all

Best butter chicken in Rotterdam. The naan now sadly has not been as fresh as they used to be, but the butter chicken is still good. The owner is really really lovely. I also had a buffet there during Ramadan and it was amazing. Great experience!!!

Not recommended at all. Food had no taste

I love Indian food. But this is the worst thing I have ever eaten. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. There was no one at the counter to welcome you upon arrival, just loud music. The tables were sticky, could have used a wet wipe and the place had only just opened. The curries (lamb vindaloo and vegetable balti) are terribly salty, inedible. I had high expectations for it, given the 4.5 stars, but I will never come here again.

Food is very good and tasty. The quality is always consistent and they are nice too. Highly recommend them. They have a variety of currys and they all taste great.

Definitely recommended: been there twice in a row, had great main courses twice, Sultan Birjiani and Lamb Korma. Naan and papadum is also wonderful. And the waiter was a friendly, bright, young man. Everything is pallet. What more could you want?

I visited Biryani House about two years ago and had a good experience with nice biryani and good service. This time, I noticed a big difference—the floor manager brought great energy and made the place feel even more welcoming. His enthusiasm added to the ambiance, making the dining experience more enjoyable. The food was still great, and the service was smooth. Overall, a solid spot for biryani in Rotterdam, now with an even better vibe! PS: Always order at least one plain rice, in case you don't like spicy.

I took a delivery of Lamb Biriyani and selected Spicy the level of spice. I come from Kolkata in India which is famous for Biriyani. I can also cook Biriyani. This restaurant should change its name. They dont serve Biriyani. Its a spiced up rice curry combination. NO BIRIYANI MASALA!! I am shocked to see others rating the place highly. They should get a ticket to India for the actual Biriyani…. Or might visit an Indian friend who can cook Biriyani. Overall the worst of Biriyani. It is a dish so loved and iconic, but sadly led to ashes here in this place. Regards A Biriyani Connoisseur

Ordered delivery. The 'good' impression starts when the delivery guy didn't want to take a single step on then stairs and almost biked away in in the time it took my pregnant gf to go down. Proceeding it comes down to a sad, lazy, hardly filled plate, dry salad. Watery raita 8 small cubes of lamb, just enough not to complain. Delivered look warm. These guys can cook. But further then that, Prime example of enshitification

Outclass Desi food, especially paratha

So I give 4 stars not five because I came two times and we ordered different type of food and all was tasty but we ordered butter chicken in both days and the second day was not that good and not tasty as first one(see even the pictures they add tomato sauce in the second day that not cooked I didn’t know what was the cause but you need to focus on keeping the same quality and taste, and the amount of rice need to increase alittle bit for that price … other than this highly recommended

I am really glad we had the chance to have lunch in this restaurant! I really loved the fried starters with the good deep sauces and the Pakistani chickpea curry was delicious as well! There is a huge section of vegetarian curries and starters and the portions are big ! I really enjoyed my meal here and the Mango Lassi was probably the best I have ever had, and it was only 3,50€! I will definitely be back to this place next time I’ll be in Rotterdam and would definitely recommend that to everyone who wants a nutritious pakistani-indian meal in a very cosy environment with good vibes

We ordered a chicken tikka biryani 2 days back from the Biryani House. The waiting time was half an hour, the biryani was packed in a big container with multiple compartments where the biryani quantity was less, there was some raita and some slots were empty which was shocking as it was not a thali but just a biryani. The biryani itself was a disappointment, the worst I have ever eaten, chicken was dry, not fresh and had food colouring, flavour of the biryani was not good as well. The raita was weirdly sweet with a funny taste to it. One of the worst experiences to have on your wedding anniversary!!!

Ordered 4 kebab wraps to take away. Had to wait a very long time (45 minutes) and the kebab was also not warm. No napkins supplied.

The food is tasty. My favorites are the sultani biryani and chicken jalfrezi. The mango lassi is also delicious! The case itself could use an update. The interior is oppressive and old-fashioned. I will therefore pick up takeaway rather than sit in the restaurant.

Chicken jalfrezi with naan bread or rice is very tasty. The vegetarian pakora, biryani chicken, mango lassi are highly recommended. Food is halal and very tasty. Nice and friendly people who work there.

Wonderful food, I would recommend the Korma and Kashmir Rose Tea! The service is good and the restaurant is well situated.
