Sangam Tandoori in Delfshaven

We got lamb byryani, lamb curry, and palak, all very nice. Update, we had lamb biryani again and lamb Madras, take out. Both very nice.

Just placed our weekly order (the food is 10/10, therefore), but because it was late without us notifying them, the delivery driver called when he was at the door instead of ringing the doorbell. Why? Because he was considering our children were asleep! Top service, top food, top restaurant. Allahuma barek!

That's awful! I've never had such bad Indian takeout (and I was still enjoying it the next day). If you want truly authentic, delicious Indian food, try GATE OF INDIA! What was wrong with Sangam? We ordered several curry dishes, but the sauces were all the same—watery tomato sauce. Only the chicken was different. The worst of all was the Matter Paneer. The cheese was too old and tasted strange and chewy (we left it alone). The samosa was also terrible, and the bread... how can you sell this as naan?! And when paying, I didn't check the receipt properly, but the price per dish was higher than what was listed on the menu! Sangam? No, thanks, next time!

when people talk about hidden gems they usually point you to expensive, not-so-hidden spots that serve food you'll get anywhere. but sangam truly IS a hidden gem: homemade pakistani food, flavourful, both for dine in and takeout. if people would eat at truly good places like these, where the meals are authentic and homemade, instead of places with bland food made to look fancy where they waste their money, maybe we'd actually be more happy as a society..

Ordered from Sangam Tandoori for the first time today. I had a question and called first, and was helped immediately in a friendly and cheerful manner. Then I received the food, and my wife and I both immediately agreed that it was the best food we'd ever ordered around Rotterdam city center! JazakAllahu gair, the food was delicious!

Well you can eat comfortably, or eat well. And here you eat very well. And comfortable enough! Fantastic authentic pakistanki food, oozing flavour and sustenance. Best pakistanki restaurant in the city? Probably! Samosa batter light and crunchy, good oil used. The vegetarian lentil and chickpea curries exactly what was asked for. I will be back! Paid just over 30eur including a drink and desert sweet. They also sell bags of crown basmati rice for cooking with, 1kg €3.25, 5kg 17.95, 20kg 52.95

I had a very disappointing experience with the sweets from this place. The gulab jamuns were poorly made, with an unpleasant taste, likely due to the quality of the oil used. The ladoos were equally bad, tasting stale. We also tried the samosas, which were deep-fried in old oil, giving them an off-putting flavor. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

A lovely Pakistani restaurant with amazing food. We had the madras fish, chicken biryani, alu palak and seekh kebab. Could highly recommend these dishes, and we'll definitely be trying out more of them soon enough! For me, the madras could have been spicier, but that might be too much for some customers haha, my partner was already struggling with it.

Friendly staff and delicious Indian food! The spinach curry is especially recommended. Nice to pick up.

Butter curry chicken. Not much chicken and bland tasting sauce, resembled a bowl of coconut milk with some pieces of chicken. Shame.

Chicken tandoori masala with naan bread eaten on the spot. You do get very small pieces of chicken in the dish. Dish has little taste. You can add a mint sauce to your naan bread from a spray bottle. That sauce also has little taste. The atmosphere in the shop is unpleasant. It smells like baking. Staff is friendly. We will soon continue our search for a better place with Indian food.

It’s a small restaurant. The okra dish was delicious. We liked the samosas and the mango lassi. The chicken biryani was kind of bland. Not bad, but the taste was not strong. The chicken tikka is tandoori chicken in a sauce. So the chicken is not cooked in the sauce, so you get two different flavors and really salty. The naan was not it. Too thick, no taste, soggy.

We komen hier al jaren, na volle tevredenheid. Al vele uitstapjes gemaakt naar Indian restaurants waar ze bv ook een alcoholisch drankje schenken. Maar er kon er geen één tippen aan Sangam. Vandaag mij Ma van 83 meegenomen, vond het ook super!!!!! HEERLIJK eten.

Tastiest Indian/Pakistani food in all of Rotterdam. Naan bread and all meats are overly tasty and fresh.

Lekker relaxt, heel erg goed eten, klein beperkt aantal tafeltjes maar meestal wel plek. Erg aardige mensen. We rijden minimaal 1 keer per maand naar Rotterdam om er te gaan eten. Aanrader!

I have eaten here in the past but I have been shocked to see the pan they use. The Teflon pan was completely worn, exposing the aluminum. This is worrying for people who have eaten here as it can be harmful to their health. It's a shame they don't use better and healthier pans.

Living in Rotterdam, I wanted to try Sangam for a long time but always kept delaying it and finally the day arrived and I did an online order. We ordered samosas, mixed grill, mango lassi and gulab jamun. Starting off, I have to say the samosas were an absolute treat!! Man, the nostalgia hit hard! Reminded me of the best samosas I used to have as a kid in my school days at canteen! The chutney that comes with samosas was awesome too! The mixed grill was nice, could be more flavorful and the quantity was decent. The consistency of the mango lassi can be improved. Overall, definitely recommend the food here.

Kabouter en Kwebbel kwamen na een jaar zeker weer eens langs voor een goede Tandoori maaltijd. Niet om af te halen maar s even zitten. Zoals altijd hartelijk ontvangen door het personeel en waren ons nog niet vergeten🙏👍 aan de altijd karakteristieke tafels🤣gaan zitten bij het raam wat leuke taferelen oplevert. Kqbouter besteld een Lamb Jalfresi met puppadum en Naan met rijst. Heerlijk weer eens. Kwebbel had een Mixed grill bestel en puppadum en Garlic Naan met rijst. Heerlijk gegeten en voldaan weer naar de paardjes toe gelopen🚙.

Eten was redelijk goed, Ik kom al jaren bij deze restaurant. Het eten is vaak wisselend net of er elke keer een ander kok aan het koken is. Lams Birjani smaakt naar rundvlees. Salade os niet vers de komkommer zijn uitgedroogd is. Tandoori chicken is net uit de gewone over ook aardig droog. De echte klei oven mist er wel.

I arrived very late, almost desperately looking for a place that was still open. The service was very friendly and he explained not only the main dishes, but also the pretty, little dessert cakes to me when I asked. I ate the first one of those (almond) waiting for my take-away and immediately knew that I was in for a treat! Sugary, crumbly-creamy goodness and just the energy kick I needed to get home. As my main, I chose a chicken dish with vegetables and naan. The chicken was on the bone but fell right off, it was juicy and very well seasoned. The naan was fresh, the veggies tasty - I was super happy about my chance emcounter with Pakistani cuisine and about the fact that I had kept the second little cake (carrot) as an actual dessert. Finger-licking good. No kidding.

We komen uit Limburg. Telkens als we Rotterdam bezoeken moeten we bij Sangam langs. Heerlijk gegeten met ons gezin (2 volwassenen en 3 kids). Van diverse gerechten mogen genieten met lekker naanbrood. Zeer vriendelijk personeel. Ga zo door.

De verkoper is een extreem asociale kerel. Hij denkt dat hij niet alleen de baas over het restaurant is maar ook voor de klanten bepalen. Niet alle gerechten zijn vers. Chicken and lamb rol altijd vooraf gemaakt. Wellicht dagen ouder maar toch volgens die verkoper moet je wachten alsof dat vers gemaakt wordt. Een sterk afrader.

We walked into the shop and so many amazing pakistani sweets. Huge array of sweets and treats. The staff are very friendly and helpful! Definitely worth a visit to pick up some of your favourite sweets! Recommended!!!

I ordered a takeaway. The food was extremely salty. I am a person who usually adds a lot of salt to my dishes, so I wouldn't say it's a "preference" thing in this case. Moreover, the dal was swimming in oil, not going to order again.

One of the most authentic Pakistani/Indian restaurant. Taste was onr of the best what i had in recent times 🤤. The staff is super friendly. Must go place if wana taste Pakistani food. We ordered Tikka Masala, Chicken Curry and Naan. Everything was delicious.

Al jaren een bekende zaak in Rotterdam, voornamelijk om de zoetigheden. Vandaag even iets anders uitgeprobeerd. De mix grill is zeker een aanrader! Erg vriendelijk geholpen, de bezorging was ook nog eens te vroeg. Al met al was het een goede ervaring.

We komen hier graag. Het eten is heerlijk: een keer wat anders i.p.v. suçuk-met-ei (of andersom). De service is top: de grappen over en weer worden gewaardeerd. De tafels staan dicht op elkaar en het toilet is niet geschikt voor een polka. Ofwel, voor de echte fijnproevers is dit een ideale restaurant.

Goede service en uitleg. (Zijn geen kenners) verwacht geen luxe restaurant maar eten is zeer goed.

Ik heb op 15-09-2022 een Butter Chicken, Chicken Tikka Vindalo en Garlic Naan afgehaald (32,25 EUR). De Butter Chicken was, naar mijn mening, extreem zoet met een te zware melkachtige smaak. De Chicken Tikka Vindalo was aan de zoute kant, maar verder oké. De Garlic Naan was goed! De porties waren voldoende voor twee personen.
