Lightly dusted with powdered sugar and filled with a deliciously balanced sweet and fruity filling. You can really taste the love and craftsmanship in every bite. Highly recommended – I’ll definitely be coming back!

I had a terrible experience; my daughter was devastated the rest of the evening. The woman who was working here on Monday, September 17th, around 5:00 PM desperately needs to retire. She said it herself: "It's making me so stressed out. It's unbelievable how this woman treats you." Normally, the women who work here are incredibly nice, and that's why I enjoy coming here often, but the chance of encountering this woman definitely keeps me away! Your answer is very disappointing, because this was absolutely not how it actually happened. Even when my daughter accidentally bumped the underside of the counter once, I immediately corrected her. But she wanted to ask the woman something about a cake. Between our orders (the first two cakes were already in the box, and my son was patiently waiting outside), she also helped the customer who had already paid but still wanted to buy something. I also found her very rude. Your answer to this will be the same. Because of course, it's my upbringing that you're treated this way in your store, perfectly clear! If you find the way this lady handled this and the things she said decent, then we clearly disagree!

Please don't delete my post!! I don't normally do reviews, but I felt so bad while choosing a pastry at this bakery that I wanted to share it. I was standing at the entrance (the area for placing my order) with my face mask on, and a saleswoman said the woman next to me was there first, "Okay, no problem, that's okay." She then told me I had to keep my distance due to COVID-19 regulations. I didn't say anything, thinking, "Okay," but I was standing a respectable 1.5 meters away from her, wearing a face mask, and the woman who was kind of ahead of me wasn't wearing one. Fine! It wasn't that I wasn't observing the 1.5-meter rule. It was the fact that I was being told to keep my distance while the other person wasn't wearing a mask and I was! But then she said, "I don't think she understands," as if I didn't understand the saleswoman. I looked at the saleswoman like that, incredulous. I was so surprised she said something like that, even though I could hear and understand her clearly! This was the last straw, and when she finally asked what I wanted (the tone of her asking), I was so angry I didn't want to buy anything! I politely replied, "No, thanks," and walked away. I was initially so excited to buy a delicious piece of cake, but the whole situation, the atmosphere, the feeling completely ruined it. I think this is such a shame; it didn't have to end this way. I thought it was such a shame! This really upset me!

Yesterday (26/8/2022) I bought a pack with 4 cookies in it for 5 euros. This was Walstraat 158 ​​Vlissingen. Outside I thought I would eat a piece of it. It looked like a brick so hard and it tasted like that too. I went back and complained which was not accepted as it said it had a shelf life until September. I said it was inedible and that wasn't true. I demanded the curmudgeonly woman to eat a piece and she was unable to do so, so I sent me a note from her. 5 euros was thrown... So never again. In response to your response, Walstraat 158 ​​Vlissingen and the snippy woman who also risked her teeth on it was the product that you do not advertise. (There will probably be cameras where the images will give you the answers that would not make an entrepreneur happy.)

We often know that a pastry chef delivers better quality than the average supermarket. But usually we go for the convenience of the supermarket. Until you get the chance to taste the difference. That's what I recently experienced. When I was visiting, I was given a nice piece of filled speculaas with my coffee. (It turned out that the day before I had already bought a piece of filled speculaas at the supermarket at home and enjoyed it deliciously). But the first bite I took sent all my taste buds into a hurray mood!!! "What a delicious filled gingerbread you bought," I exclaimed. Of course I wanted to know where it came from. And you guessed it. PASTRY BLIEK located in the Dauwendaele Shopping Center. I immediately bought one for myself at Banketbakkerij Bliek, and compared it again with the filled speculaas that I still had at home. And then you see and taste the difference. One is much more richly filled with almond paste than the other. In terms of size, at first glance it seems about the same in the packaging. But the eye is deceiving. Because if you look at the Net weight, you will see that you have more filled speculaas at Bliek. What is my conclusion now? That at Banketbakkerij Bliek you get more value and better quality for your money. I certainly don't have to tell you that the next time I'm in the supermarket and the filled gingerbread calls out to me: "buy me,... buy me" that I will run straight to Banketbakkerij Bliek and get it there.

Bread is fresh every day and don't forget the bolus, which has been tasted here once and will keep you coming back.
