Wow, this is so good. Well-filled and delicious sandwiches. And definitely value for money too. So much choice and really top-notch service. 4 sandwiches and 2 drinks were 38 euros, but seeing those sandwiches, it was definitely worth it. The rest is coming home because the two of us couldn't finish it. Best sandwich shop so far.

Best sandwich shop ever I think it’s no secret to most people anymore, but this is seriously the best sandwich shop in the Netherlands. There is a lot of choice, and every selection is delicious. The service is also really top-notch, always friendly and personal, and you always get your sandwiches super fast, no matter how busy it is. I just happened to speak to someone in Paris recently who also knew about Farmer Geert, so it’s excellent across borders!

It is so busy that the tables are no longer being cleaned. That is certainly a shame when it comes to food.. Otherwise, I make a detour for their delicious sandwiches!!

Tasty, generously filled sandwiches. Always full and flavorful. You get what you pay for. It gets busy around 5:30 PM because everyone in Zaanstad gets their food here. But don't let that spoil the fun; the quality is excellent. You can sit outside when the weather is nice. QR codes to order, etc. Good place.

Always and always a pleasure to come here. Every since my youth I come back to eat here. They are a bit pricey, but oh it is so worth it. The sandwiches are stuffed so full you can hardly get a descent bite. The family and staff are always friendly and welcome you in their establishment.

We had a hot meat sandwich with satay sauce and a chicken teriyaki sandwich; these were very tasty. The price-quality ratio is good; you get a well-filled sandwich. In addition to sitting inside, they also have a nice outdoor terrace.

Please note: the halal items are cooked on the same griddle as the pork and bacon. Therefore, there is no separate preparation.

You can simply get the very best sandwiches at Boer Geert!

Picked up two sandwiches; both were disappointing. Chicken sausage sandwich: no sauce (and no chopped onion like in the menu photo). That makes for a very boring sandwich. Choripan sandwich: the butterflied sausages had been on the griddle for far too short a time. A tough, raw bite instead of nicely browned.

Two sandwiches for 18 euros! One of the sandwiches, the chicken sausage, didn't even have sauce on it. Both sandwiches were so disgusting that I threw them away immediately! Never again Boer Geert!

Look, you don't come here for the atmosphere, but for the best sandwiches in Amsterdam. I just can't get it out of my Rotterdam throat. One tip though: the extraction system is absolutely rubbish. While frying the chicken, the place is practically white with cooking fumes, and it gets into your clothes and hair.

If you're passing through here to see the windmills, I highly recommend stopping by. We came for breakfast, and they have so many sandwich options it's hard to choose. If you don't want to eat meat, there are plenty of vegetarian options available. We tried one crispy chicken sandwich and one vegetarian option; both were delicious. I wouldn't say it's the best sandwich I've ever had, but we were very satisfied. There's plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Sandwiches cost around 8-9 EUR on average. You can choose to have them hot or cold; we ordered both sandwiches hot because we prefer them hot. The interior is nice, and there's ample seating. If you ever find yourself in Zaandam, you can definitely choose this place for breakfast; I highly recommend it.

Delicious sandwiches, a bit pricey. But it's always busy, so that speaks volumes.

Eel sandwich. A few small pieces of eel were added on a stick... I asked the sandwich maker if that was all. She said yes, because we had a larger order, but we didn't argue further. You can't do this to regular customers. At the fishmonger, you get even more on your sandwich for a lower price. You're completely missing the point here. Charging €9.95 for it is truly outrageous. And then they advertise with a photo where the eel barely fits in the sandwich.

I recently went here for dinner with Tenenguy. We had a focaccia with ham/shoulder ham (I can't remember which one) with cheese and a knife and fork. The best sandwich in the place. They also have the best pastrami sandwich in the whole of the Netherlands. Good meat, nicely seasoned, and generous portions. The Pablo sausage was also very good. All in all, a terrible experience. My goodness, Geert.

Well, what more could you ask for? Good prices, friendly staff, and delicious sandwiches. It's a lot busier on weekends, but during the week you can have a delicious sandwich in no time. We love Boer Geert!

What a fantastic place! Highly recommended if you're looking for a delicious lunch, but make sure you get there early on Saturdays or Sundays because it's so popular, the line wraps around the building! It's very busy, and the food is delicious! Definitely worth the half-hour wait!

Delicious but very pricey rolls. I noticed that all the employees wear black gloves, which look greasy, and their fingertips are scratchy. They do absolutely everything with them: grabbing bread, spreading toppings, paying, and making coffee. I wonder if and when they change gloves; cross-contamination is easily caused. Furthermore, the place is blue with smoke and looks a bit grimy.

For years, we've been making delicious sandwiches and paninis fresh, just the way you like them. Parking is a bit of a challenge, though.

These are well-filled sandwiches. And certainly not bad. They just weren't anything special. Next time, I'll try some other sandwiches. (This time I had steak teriyaki and hot meat.)

The meat sandwich was good, but the tuna melt and the caprese were way too full, making it incredibly greasy.

The road to where it is now was a very long one, but feel free to go grab a sandwich there. Lots of choice and everything is fresh, fresh, fresh. Too bad they aren't around the corner from me; I would have eaten myself bankrupt there. 😅😂🤣

It is so delicious. That you can't make a choice..

After buying a sandwich at the cash register, we wanted to sit down. Both the left and right sections near the main entrance were occupied because a staff member was sweeping them simultaneously. By the time we wanted to sit down, he was already doing so and continued for over 10 minutes without clearing a single seat. There was absolutely no consideration, and the behavior felt very unprofessional. We didn't feel welcome as customers and ended up leaving and eating outside.

Delicious sandwiches, but incredibly expensive (3 "small" sandwiches for €23.40: a hot meat sandwich, a pastrami sandwich, and a teriyaki chicken sandwich). The tent was blue with smoke from the grill; eating inside resulted in smelly clothes for the rest of the day.

The greasy snack matched the greasy tables well. Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be. The roll with aged cheese was good, though.

Lots of sandwiches, so many different kinds, it was hard to choose... I had scampi, which didn't have much flavor, and my husband had a pastrami sandwich, which he really liked, and a steak sandwich with mushrooms, which he didn't like as much!

If you are a big eater, this place is for you. It is a nicer place that it looks from outside. They have loads of meat sandwiches that are quite unique, and very filling and loaded. The sandwiches are tasty but they are definitely on the unhealthy side, so you don’t necessarily feel great afterwards if you are a healthy eater. I felt sick afterwards; not used to so much salt and grease.

Super nice place, super good food, only entering and ordering is a bit chaotic, there is not really a queue and everything is mixed up, but the delicious food makes up for it.

Nearly 12 euros for a ham sandwich and Red Bull. The pistolet was smaller and poorly baked. The patio was filthy. Dirty tables and cigarette butts everywhere.
