Fantastic choice of different breads and fillings. Hardly any waiting time for your food and it was delicious. You can have hot or cold sandwiches and a selection of drinks. Only downside is that the tables need cleaning more often. Staff were super friendly and gave us service with a smile. I would definitely return.

The gluten free bread here is amazing! Lots of options for celiacs. I recommend the smoked herring. Fast and well priced. An absolute must for celiacs.

Delicious Hot Chicken bun with salsa sauce and a bottle of fresh orange juice!! Chicken was heated up and tasted very good!! Lots of other choices of well-filled sandwiches! I’ll be back soon!!

Lucindo helped us, very friendly and helpful. We ate sandwiches at the table inside. And took some sandwiches back to the campsite. She packed everything separately and explained how we could heat it up. She works with a smile, and we go home with a smile.

generally very friendly employees who make good sandwiches, but if you order for takeaway you often don't get exactly what you ordered. sometimes you get smaller sandwiches while it says you get different sandwiches (such as a small pave sandwich instead of a rather large roll) or you get a different sauce than what is stated online. This really brings down the service because normally after 1 farmer Geert sandwich I am nice and full. I just received 2 small and skinny sandwiches and now I'm not full yet. So better to just pick up the physical, don't order!!!

New review: today i got carpassio pesto and it was twice as small as normal for the same price! This is not what ive been hoping for sad to see the quality drop so dramaticly :( Old review: Just amazing what can i say just go to this place get some food you'll see for your self

In my opinion it is the best sandwich shop there is. Wide choice and always served quickly. Everything is really tasty, but the hot meat sandwiches with peanut sauce, pastrami and foccacia are really great.

Boer Geert in Zaandam is one of the best sandwich shops in the Netherlands. Lots of choice and they are very efficient in helping and preparing the sandwiches. Definitely recommended!

Very popular place for super sandwiches and filled rolls. Friendly service, no longer waiting, lots of people serving and preparing. It was a little messy, as only one young man was trying to keep our section of the restaurant clean and against a tide of waste only just about managing. Still - a great place to go for a freshly filled superduper sandwich!

Helped by a very friendly woman. The warm bun with brie was tasty, but could have used a little more honey or salt for a little more flavor. The chicken schnitzel sandwich was also tasty.

There is nowhere in the Netherlands where you can buy such tasty sandwiches as boer geert. It has been a household name in the Zaan region for as long as I have been alive and 30 years later I still go there whenever I am in the area. Some kind of addiction, haha.

The meat sandwich was dripping with fat and overcooked. Brie sandwich heated for too long and was runny. The chairs were cleared away well before closing time. 1-time experience.

If you do sell sandwiches... please do so this way! Big queue on Sunday!? What could cause that?

Always busy. Always good. Had a lovely lunch with colleagues. Gluten-free, well informed, everything is checked and much is possible. Enjoyed a generous & tasty vitello tonnato sandwich.

Farmer Geert always has delicious fresh sandwiches! It has now become a bit more pricey, but that does not reduce the quality. The staff is always friendly and helpful. We could easily eat sandwiches from Boer Geert every day! Yummie!

It is often busy. A 19 minute wait is quite normal. But you get a huge choice of different sandwiches in return that is definitely worth it.

Deliciously assorted sandwiches

I regularly visit Boer Geert and the sandwiches are always of good quality and well filled. I just think the choice is really extensive, which makes it more difficult for people to choose. In addition, the signs with the sandwiches are not very clearly displayed at the counter. The prices are more than fine compared to the sandwiches and the amount of toppings. The staff is always friendly and they work hard. Definitely recommended to get a sandwich here!
