Best pizza in Amersfoort with a fun, unique atmosphere

The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic; the rooftop terrace (as I’ll call it for now) is decorated in a very cute way. Unfortunately, the chairs are a bit cheaper and not as comfortable. It was difficult to get the waitress's attention, which meant it took a bit longer than expected. Good to know for picky eaters like me: They mainly have some unusual items on the menu; no standard salami pizza, for example. And you won't find the usual drinks like cola etc. here either. The pizzas were between 13 and 20 euros each. Understandable given the location (next to Amersfoort Central), but too expensive for what was delivered. When I visited the restrooms later, I was surprised at how nicely they were decorated as well! Everything was themed. Decoration and atmosphere get a solid 10. But unfortunately, I wouldn't come back for the food or the service.

The place to eat on Amersfoort if you want to have a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The food is marvellous!

Great place to grab a bite for lunch. The pizzas (specially the carbonara one they had a while ago) are delicious!! Also tried their piadinas and they are really good as well. Book a table in advance as they tend to get quite busy.

Besides the fact that the dough is fantastically fluffy and deliciously light, the toppings are often very surprising too. For example, when I ordered the tuna pizza, I didn't get canned tuna, but rather thin slices of raw tuna on top—almost sashimi-style. I was absolutely thrilled with it. Bringing a child along wasn't a problem either, as that is always fun, but they also have high chairs and there is plenty of space, especially outside. The staff is very friendly and cheerful. I noticed that they really understand how to make someone happy at the table, and they worked quickly as well.

What a cozy place, nice atmosphere, and unique decor! We went there for a drink earlier in the day after arriving from the station, and returned later in the evening for dinner. I haven't eaten such a delicious, flavorful pizza in ages. However, what I found disappointing about the service from a single waitress was the very arrogant response to our question about whether we could get cutlery; that wasn't possible. On the contrary: pizza is only eaten with the hands here. There was no follow-up to my request, and in the end, I didn't receive any cutlery. It reminded me of scenes in Amsterdam, where you pay top dollar for a meal and are treated incredibly rudely. A shame for such a nice place!

Cozy restaurant with delicious pizzas. Friendly staff. It was full the evening we were there. There is a cacophony of noise then, which makes it difficult to understand each other. So it wasn't exactly a nice, quiet meal. I can imagine it is fine outside of the weekend.

Loved the atmosphere! Super cute find in Amersfoort. Very central location. Great service and amazing food. We went for the Margherita pizza and the focaccia, both incredibly delicious. Will definitely be coming back for more. Also there are stickers, cute! There are also games to play, didn't have the time, but it's a very sweet touch.

Really weird but delicious menu items. Just one server on duty but man did she get moving. Good service too. Loo was spotless which is such a boon. Was there with my daughter from Cape Town and she enjoyed the outing immensely.

What a great discovery! The atmosphere is super nice, doesn't matter if it's for drinks or dinner. The service makes everything a plus, very attentive and friendly. I have to say, I love pizza, and this one is the best I have tried in the Netherlands. The products are fresh, the combinations great and the taste excellent. Looking forward to summer to try that nice terrace! Definitely I will recommend to all of my friends

My friend lives in Amersfoort and she brought me here. And it was amazing! It was pretty inside, friendly staffs and pizza was so good. Pizza was really good but I also love the burrata salad, it was so fresh! Definitely recommend :)

Creativity is king here, with pizza toppings that make you raise your eyebrows but which are delicious! Same with the starters and homemade lemonades. The kind of place where you can order no matter how weird, confident it will be amazing. Very friendly staff, they have have games and lots of stuff for kids.

Very happy to have found this place. Fantastic pizza. The dough is perfect and toppings delicious. Been here about once per month since our first review and it's only getting better.

I wanted to pick up two pizzas for my son and myself. The service was excellent, but because it was so busy, I had to wait 45 minutes. I arrived at the agreed-upon time and saw two boxes being placed in the kitchen, which I initially assumed were for my pizzas. After 10 minutes, someone from the kitchen called out that the pizzas were ready for pickup. It turned out the pizzas had already been sitting in the boxes for 10 minutes. I commented on this, and the pizzas weren't hot anymore, so I mentioned it. I was offered two new pizzas, but they had to be remade, and it took another 15 minutes. I parked my car properly and returned after 5 minutes, where I was immediately handed two boxes of pizzas. I thought that would be quick. When I got home, both pizzas were tough, dry, and hard—simply inedible. This made me doubt whether they were actually new pizzas, so I threw mine straight in the trash. I thought this was a shame, especially because my wife had praised the pizza she had eaten there a few weeks ago.

We had a fantastic meal at Bombari. The pizzas are truly delicious. The drinks were also very good (note: there's no "regular" soft drink like Coke, but plenty of tasty alternatives). The service was also incredibly friendly. Actually, the only downside was the seating. We had made a reservation for five and were given a spot where only four could comfortably eat. That was a shame.

Above all, it's a very customer-friendly place. Excellent service, friendly and welcoming. Politeness is effortless. There's plenty of street parking nearby. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. A truly Italian flavor. High-quality products. The coffee is also excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend it.

A nice pizzeria with a great menu. Our pizzas and sandwiches were delicious. I wanted to give it four stars, but I'm giving it a fifth for their response, "We don't have coke," when a tablemate asked if they could order one. A restaurant that doesn't serve coke is quite unique and highly commendable!

Great place with genuinely enthusiastic staff. The product/pizzas could be a lot more distinctive; they're still bland. If they made some choices here, it would be a top-notch place.

Our (confirmed) reservation wasn't in the system upon arrival. The empty tables were for people who were yet to arrive. This triage was difficult to explain to our hungry children. While such things can happen very carelessly, you do more than just apologize and send the family away. Still, two extra stars because parking fees were reimbursed without any discussion.

Super-delicious pizza. Quite unconventional, served without cutlery, but with a pizza cutter. The toppings are modest, but ultimately, it's the taste that counts. A definite recommendation.

Dining at Bombari is an experience, a true night out! For groups of 10 or more, it gets even better because you can have antipasti and pizzas served to share. The service is superb, and the pizzas are unique. It's one of the top 50 in Europe for good reason!

The restaurant looked colorful, almost Mexican 🌮. I had the Margherita and Papaya pizza – the papaya combination was interesting and brought out some unusual flavors. However, I expected more Italian authenticity and better dough from the Margherita. Overall, both pizzas were average, nothing that would convince me to come back for them.

The pizza was a bit burnt on the bottom. When I went to check out, I was asked how my food was. When I mentioned it, I was immediately told it would be taken off the bill and that I'd check with the chef. That's what I call good service!

Exceptionally delicious pizzas! And not your typical options either. There were four of us. My partner and I had the smoked tuna special, highly recommended. The question is, of course, how long it will be on the menu. My parents had the fennel salami version with roasted peppers. Also very tasty. For dessert, we had the Tiramisu and Cannoli. Besides the food, the service was friendly and approachable. We had cozy seats on the outdoor terrace. Inside, and especially in the basement, it was a bit less inviting. Hence, not 5 stars. All in all, highly recommended if you're in the mood for a pizza that's a bit out of the ordinary!

The pizzas are truly excellent. The special is always a surprise, and some deserve a permanent spot on the menu. The service is fast and very friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed. We've been coming here regularly. It can get quite busy sometimes, so reservations are recommended.

Place looked nice but they forgot our order twice, even after we asked about it and said it was in the oven... Had to catch a train and take it to go. Pizza was mediocre. The waitress really couldn't be bothered at all that we didn't even get to eat. Horrible service.

We were expected to be done within 60 minutes. However, we got the pizzas after 30 minutes. Eating a pizza and dessert in 30 minutes is a bit tight for me. That can be taken into account if you ask me. The rest of the steer was good. Nice place!

Muy amable y profesional atención; posee mesas afuera y en el interior del local; algunas mesas con butacas tipo ferrocarril. Excelente el jamón crudo y las piadinas de mortadela. La pizza no tan rica, mucho borde, poco queso.

Heerlijke pizza met interessante smaken. De bediening is erg vriendelijk en de sfeer is gezellig! Zou het zeker aanraden. M’n enige nadeel: Sommige porties (drinken & toetjes) zijn erg klein met desondanks een forse prijs. Pizza’s zijn ook iets duurder dan normaal. Ook de upgrade van burrata en truffel zijn best prijzig, €5 per stuk. Desondanks het proberen waard!

Unfortunately, the restaurant did not quite meet the high expectations I had based on the reviews. I don't want to just complain, so first the positive things: a funny and alternatively decorated place with a relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and most importantly: the pizzas are very tasty according to my wife and children. Unfortunately, due to circumstances, I was forced to choose something other than pizza from the menu; there is not much left (in the evening) other than the salad with asparagus, egg and potato. This consisted of 99% lettuce, filling the entire plate. I hoped to find something tasty below, but you have to look for the asparagus, baby potatoes and egg with a magnifying glass. All in all, a place with quite a bit of potential, due to the good location and atmosphere, but which does have a few flaws and could be much better with some adjustments. Some suggestions: - offer more standard drinks like coke, apple juice, etc. in addition to the handmade lemonades (not everyone's taste) - more classic Italian pizzas on the menu - remove the salad from the menu or replace it with something edible - pay a little more attention to the basics (cutlery, napkins; maybe pre-cut the pizzas). The above is not meant as a whining story but as honest criticism. Good luck!

I really like the atmosphere here. Interior looks amazing with the poppy colors and nice and glossy yellow pizza oven. Cashier on a DJ booth with a disco ball on the ceiling. Good vibes. The pizzas were not bad. I liked the one with artichoke cream and asparagus. That was creative. I always love it when on a margerita the big chunks of mozzarella are added after coming out of the oven. Unfortunately here they added it before the oven, turning the base into a red-orange mixed flat pizza that looks a bit inspiring and was a bit too salty as well to my taste to be super super honest. Adding the burrata was a good solution though! Really added that nice and clean creaminess to it. Staff was super friendly, and it was great they had this pizza hour reservation that made it easy to squeeze in a spot last minute to get our Neapolitan pizza fix. They also have some nice outdoor seating and... drumroll... Super Nintendo with Donkey Kong! Really cool. Fun place.

Wonderfully relaxed place with truly fantastic pizza... 🤩. You can immediately taste that love, attention and the best ingredients are used... what an explosion of taste! And that is a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, games to play and with personal attention from the staff, really great. We will definitely come to Bombari again!
