Nice spot, at a busy roundabout, so plenty of viewing pleasure. Tasty menu where everything is listed in cents, that's funny! Friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommended!

Had a starter here during the "Hap en Trap" (Eat and Trap) event; it was delicious. The girl serving on the terrace wasn't very enthusiastic. A bit uninviting, which is a shame because it is a nice terrace.

Very bad experience! One waitress was working with a grumpy expression; the other was nice, but the service took a very long time. We sat for 70 minutes before our starter and then another 40 minutes for the main course. During that time, we only had 2 drinks because no one came by. I had ordered asparagus with salmon, but received asparagus with ham. The asparagus was tasteless and tough. Definitely not recommended!

Called up short notice for a reservation tonight, and got a table. Meal was amazing, best Korean chicken burger ive ever had. 10/10 Superb!

Just a nice little bite to eat. They had to think for a moment whether there was a table for us. Well, you can sit over there. Fine. It took a while before they asked if we wanted something to drink. Even though it really wasn't busy, it dragged on and on. The older gentleman didn't seem to be enjoying his work either. There was little interest. The amuse-bouche was placed in front of us without an explanation… a cone with tuna salad from a jar. The steak was well cooked, and the green asparagus was okay too. We did have to wait a long time for it, though. After our meal, we wanted the bill, and it arrived within a minute. No, no more James for us for the time being.

Had lovely drinks, delicious jacatori sticks and vegetable gyoza, and a delicious sausage roll. Also, a super tasty caramel latte macchiato. And moreover, and certainly just as important, the service/waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful.

Just ate at James, the food was very tasty. The waitress with the long blonde hair was especially friendly to us. I think her name was Steffi. The chef even put a heart made of sauce on my plate for me. Definitely recommended ❤️

Nice restaurant on the corner by a roundabout. We were with a group; parking was difficult due to a small private lot. Service was slow to arrive. Apparently, they were understaffed or had too little manpower in the kitchen. A pity. The food was plentiful and quite flavorful.

A special day for our son James, and naturally, you celebrate that at James bar restaurant. We arrived very early, at 4:30, but that was our own choice and we thought it was great. We were welcomed warmly and our table looked neat. This allowed us to start nice and relaxed with a drink while watching the restaurant get busier and livelier. Ultimately, of course, it is about the food, and that was simply very good too. The James burger, James satay, and the asparagus menu—all three were superb. The service was friendly and attentive, and everything was very affordable; what more could you ask for? We will definitely be back again. A big tip for people just wanting to go for dinner: reserve a table in advance; that saves disappointment.

We had a fantastic meal last night; this is absolutely highly recommended. Gambas piel piel; spicy chicken salad; goat cheese crème brûlée; spareribs; apple crumble. Everything was super tasty and full of flavor. It had been a while since we had been here, but this is definitely a place we will visit again. Top-notch!

The food at James's really surprised me and exceeded my expectations. We received a house amuse-bouche, a lobster croquette. Delicious. We went for the tuna tataki as a starter and ordered the bavette and osso buco for the main course. The meat was so tender. Highly recommended! And for dessert, another delicious dessert. The lady who served us was super friendly, quick, and professional. We'd never eaten here before, but we'll definitely be back!

James's drinks restaurant is really cozy inside. The seating is great, and the staff is very friendly. It's definitely worth a visit. I've had drinks there, and they have delicious bitterballen (bitterballen). I would definitely recommend making a reservation.

Upon entering, we were asked where we were from. After answering, the older gentleman began to treat us rudely. We ordered a glass of wine, only to be told "this is a place to eat" by the gentleman, who then told us to drink and leave because we were taking up unnecessary space.

We were with a group of nearly 30 people, we had a delicious meal and the atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, everything was well organized, we will definitely come back.

You can learn the art of patience here. Words like calmness, resignation that it takes a long time for them to ask for something. Patience while waiting for the food to arrive. Forbearance because you have to remain friendly to the waiters. Resignation that, when the sun shines in the conservatory, you accept sitting in the chair for a long time. Tolerance for the time it takes for them to collect the plates that remain on your table.

We regularly visit JAMES. Unfortunately, the business was sold to a new owner, which was immediately noticeable in the quality of the dishes. The meat dishes in particular were of inferior quality. Unfortunately, no more James for the time being.

However, I had a somewhat strange experience because the waiter was reluctant to serve us at first because we didn't speak Dutch. He gave us a menu in Dutch and the glasses were very dirty. I don't know if it was on purpose, but the food was very good. I ordered the burger, which was a good size and came with fries. We ended up leaving a tip, and the waiter completely changed his attitude toward us. That said a lot. Anyway, this town doesn't have a ton of options, but if you're passing through, it's a good place to eat.

The dishes are very creatively presented, take for example the cheesecake that I ordered. Clean toilets, cozy terrace, as well as the conservatory where you can sit wonderfully. I love James. It is cozy, informal and, apart from a somewhat older grouch (who can sigh out loud when new customers come in), the staff is very friendly and does their utmost to please you. The menu is simple, but that is typical of a cafe and the appetizers they serve are a nice gift. Nice terrace and plenty of places in the shade.

Place reasonable. Terrible staff.3 Gamba' with 3 ounces of bread, inedible. 3 Do not eat slip sole, just put it in the pan for 1 minute. Steak needs another knife to get through it. Dame blance, cold milk chocolate sauce. Satay 1 stick. James should be ashamed of 450.00 euros. I was able to tip 7 euros out of disappointment. Never again James. Was my favorite. I'll start with the best points: the food is delicious and the atmosphere is superb. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere; you can see that they took time for the food and the appearance. Unfortunately the service left a lot to be desired and gave the feeling of 'us knows us', and as an outsider you are not treated at the same level. I can understand that the kitchen is busy, after waiting more than an hour for food. Just a pity that the tables that came in later received their food earlier. I could still believe it after this happened, but upon entering I waited half an hour for them to say "what do you want to drink?" asked, while other tables were helped immediately. That's a bit noticeable. I'm really sorry, very disappointed.

Met vrouw en schoonmoeder boodsurprise (aanrader) en hoofdgerecht gehad tijdens piek op zaterdagavond. Vriendelijk, smaakvol, timing goed en flexiliteit in wensen. Gewoon Oudhollands goed gegeten.

Went there for a baby shower with 18 ladies who were received nicely, the lady who accompanied us did her best to ensure that everything went smoothly.

Very nice and cosy restaurant, good menu with the classics like a Chicken Sate with French fries. Upside: very good wine selection and the best upside, it’s only 10 minute walk from home.

We hebben lekker gegeten maar tijdens onze lunch erg veel last gehad vd volume vd gastheer die bij een stel naast ins aan tafel bijschoof. Hij was heel erg hard getaald en meer schreeuwend als pratend waardoor wij elkaar niet meer konden verstaan. Hij zat aan de tafel naast ons en wij merkten dat ook anderen mensen er last van hadden. We hebben dit aan de bediening gemeld toen we weg gingen. De lunch is hierdoor toch niet echt prettig geweest.

Stopped in for a quick bite with family after our 4hr road trip to get. Really liked the Hot Chicken -- best chicken I've had in 5 different countries on my trip so far. Owner of the restaurant was pleasantly kookie and got my young niece some coloring books. Everyone on staff was kind. No English menus but our phones translated everything fine. Folks knew enough English for us to get by. Had a lovely time.

We had made reservations for 20 people with our motor scooter club. Everyone received a separate receipt on which they were counted. Well organised. The food (snacks) were perfect. The chicken bites are definitely recommended. The atmosphere was great. We were given a separate room where no one else was. Perfect for our helmets ect. The service was also very nice. Nice staff. Also plenty of parking spaces.

Yesterday I went for the first time and ate French onion soup. I would say the food is very tasty. As of yesterday James has become my favorite place.

Zaterdagavond 30 dec. 2023 gereserveerd voor een diner met mijn echtgenote. Mijn vrouw wilde graag tong hebben maar dit was er niet meer, maar kon wel schol kiezen. Ik had een saté met toebehoren gekozen. Toen de gerechten werden geserveerd was de schol niet groter dan ca. 2 cm bij 1,5 cm, maw dit was geen schol maar een zeer klein scholletje en de prijs die werd berekend was hetzelfde als voor tong t.w. €28,50. Aan het einde moesten we afrekenen € 109,30: 2 voorgerechten, 2 hoofdgerechten (waaronder de genoemde “schol”), 1 nagerecht, 2 bier, 2 wijn en 1 koffie. Wij hebben bij James regelmatig gegeten, maar komen na deze ervaring nooit meer terug. Gerard

Gezellige sfeer goed en vriendelijk personeel.

Gastheer reageerde steeds zeer eigenaardig en stonk naar de alcohol. De verkeerde bestelling kwam door, echt 2 minuten later kreeg ik het juiste maar dit was gewoon op het bord gegooid. Er ontbraken dingen in de salade zoals het eerder was, een flinke achteruitgang. Het enige wat lekker was, was de zak met broodjes. Hiervoor kom ik niet meer terug.

Na de Efteling hier geweest om te eten. Super lekker eten, ontspannen sfeertje, zeer vriendelijke bediening. De Saté, koffie James, tomatensoep, dame blanche, amuse en broodjes vooraf waren top!

Perfect place to have a delicious meal

Zonder reserveren met drie man kunnen lunchen. Prima ruime gerechten en een hele leuke plek.

Het is dat ik geen 0 sterren kan geven. Vandaag met vrienden gereserveerd, maar hebben 1,5 daar gezeten en 1 drankje gehad. Gevraagd of we nog wat mochten drinken en misschien in de schaduw mochten zitten (ivm baby en puppy). We moesten het maar uitzoeken? Daarna naar binnen om te vragen wat er was. Collega’s onder elkaar: laat ze maar verbranden in de zon?! Die jongen in kwestie is alles behalve vriendelijk.

Niet zo'n hele uitgebreide lunchkaart maar wel lekker. Het restaurant is gelegen aan een drukke rotonde.

Onwijs goeie beleving, hele gastvrije ontvangst, eten was subliem en er wordt aan heel veel details aandacht besteedt, zelfs waar je als klant niet aan zou denken. Dit restaurant is een aanrader en gaan we zeker nog een keer naar terug!
