Delicious food, but you have to leave the table a lot to get food, which means you have less time to talk with your guests. But that's the downside of this concept.

The food is... okay, mostly a lot of choices. I think the employee at the steakhouse needed a break. He put different meat on the grill twice, one for the man in front of me and one for me. The woman behind me got a snarl from the employee because she took the wrong plate. There's no supervision by parents or staff in the playroom. The concept also attracts a certain type of people. Another experience, but we won't be repeating it.

We've been going to De Wok in Biest Houtakker for 10 years, a smaller version of this concept. There are more choices here. The starters are also a bit tastier. Main courses also have more choices, but are slightly less tasty (the salmon was mediocre and the sea bass was just bad, tasteless sludge that rivals the cheapest tilapia fish in the supermarket). Otherwise, everything else in the restaurant was perfect. But... The men's restrooms: upon arrival, one was clogged, which the manager quickly shut off and didn't do anything until closing time. The second restroom wasn't cleaned once during that time and was just a disgusting, soaking-wet pigsty. So, unusable, really, with so many hundreds of guests.

We went here today. There's really plenty for kids to eat, a playground, and they even do face painting. We arrived on a Saturday at 4:30 PM, but it was packed from 5:30 PM onward. When we left at 6:30 PM, there were long lines at the cash register. The food was decent, with plenty of variety, was regularly replenished, and tasted fresh. Unfortunately, it was incredibly busy at the grill and griddle. There was also a lot of confusion about what was halal and what wasn't. I had to constantly ask Asian chefs who spoke poor Dutch what was halal and what wasn't. After this gentleman was asked the same question for the 70th time that evening, he understandably became less friendly. I think it would be a good idea to put up signs indicating what is halal. I also think it would be a good idea if they simply grilled all kinds of meat on the griddle and grill and offered that instead of the endless line of people choosing their own meat.

Service, you have to do all that yourself. But it's one of the best all-you-can-eat restaurants. It's definitely among the best in the Netherlands.

I went there for the first time and really enjoyed it. During the week, it's manageable, but it gets very busy on weekends. Plenty of choices and delicious food.

Unfortunately, not a great review.... First the good: very friendly and polite staff! Everything also looked great and neat. But then the food: the sushi was delicious. But the rest was not great. The steak was tough and completely flavorless despite the garlic and fry sauce. The salmon was dry and overcooked, again lacking flavor. We went a few more times, but everything was tasteless, overcooked, or tough... and all four of us felt the same. High expectations, but unfortunately, they weren't met. Not a lucky apple for us...

Not worth repeating. You pay a lot of money, 50 euros, for an overcrowded food shack. I went home feeling sick (not because I ate too much, but purely because of the poor quality of the food). Besides, it was incredibly hot upstairs with no ventilation. Not okay.

The food is varied and delicious. It is, however, very busy and noisy. It's perfect for a company party or outing.

Really lovely restaurant Brilliant choices

A large, uninviting mess where the dining area resembles a cafeteria with cafeteria tables. No explanation, and I didn't realize you first had to stand in a long line to pay in advance, then go to the second line with your receipt to be led to your cafeteria table. If you like quantity and lots of food and drinks, this is for you. If you're looking for quality and a cozy atmosphere, stay away! I honestly expected much more. The selection is huge, but it's all lukewarm, overcooked, and tasteless. We were often stuck at intersections because people were trying to get in and out, and people were trying to get to and from the dining area. It's noisy, and the air vents smell of smoke. Once, but never again.

A good place but i didn't like it that much. No big complaints, just not my favourite. Worth to try and a nice location, though. Fresh made food right in front of you was one of the best memories.

Nothing but 5 stars! We've been back several times now after a day at Efteling! Friendly staff & delicious food. Especially for an all-you-can-eat concept, it's truly above average! Highly recommended!

After seeing positive reviews online, I tried it one evening, but what a disappointment. The service was very unfriendly and the chefs were even less friendly, reacting angrily and curtly when I asked for a piece of meat. Furthermore, it was way too busy during the meal; you easily had to wait fifteen minutes, which made it all very hectic. Absolutely not recommended, especially considering the price.

I went here for dinner with my daughter on a Saturday. The food itself was okay, but it was way too crowded. The restaurant itself is quite large, but the buffet and wok area are so cramped that it quickly becomes chaotic. You constantly have to move your plate, people block the paths, and it just feels rushed instead of relaxed. The service was normal; they cleared the plates and did their jobs. But the chefs were downright unfriendly. They barely spoke Dutch and often responded curtly or rudely to questions. No smile, no friendliness whatsoever. Because of the crowds and the way it's organized, I wouldn't go here again. It's a shame, because the concept is nice, but the way it's organized just doesn't make it enjoyable.

Terribly bad service, the chef didn't understand the fish. I ordered two salmon, and he gave it to someone else. Drinks were warm; I won't be back. Pizza was incredibly tough.

My personal opinion is that this type of buffet restaurant ruins the whole dining experience. Although the food and service were good, I have to say that the large crowds and the "fight" of the buffet line don't suit me personally. Lucky Apple is doing well, but be aware that the restaurant type has to suit you.

Lucky Apple is a spacious all-you-can-eat restaurant. The price includes drinks (beer, wine, and soft drinks); other items are available for a fee. There's a wide selection of dishes, and the grilled and fish dishes are somewhat waste-conscious (max. 2 per person). The restaurant could use a bit more ambient lighting. Plenty of parking is available at or near Lucky Apple.

The food was incredibly delicious, although the quality sometimes left something to be desired. Don't get me wrong, most of it was truly delicious and definitely worth the wait. However, you do have to pay close attention to what you take from the warming tray; sometimes something has been sitting out longer than intended. Still, it's definitely something I would recommend. This is a wonderful way to end your day, especially if you've had a fun day in the area, such as at Efteling. Efteling simply doesn't offer a restaurant like this. A bit pricey, but definitely worth it.

This was incredibly disappointing; we'll never be back. After seeing a few positive videos on TikTok, we decided to give it a try. The positivity and satisfaction of the guests on TikTok doesn't match reality. It's completely wrong. There are plenty of other restaurants in the area where you can eat much better. And for less, because it's definitely not cheap. The food wasn't fresh, the meat wasn't tender, the baked salmon was incredibly dry, and everything was either ice cold or lukewarm. My scallops also tasted of ammonia, which means they weren't fresh. Nothing was warm as it should be, and it wasn't seasoned properly. The vegetables you could get at the buffet were even still raw, and the buffet wasn't clean either. A wipe down with a cleaning cloth wouldn't be a bad idea. The labels that listed the contents of the containers were often illegible and completely worn out. A woman next to me asked the cook at the griddle if her piece of meat could be well done, and after a while, the cook snapped at her to shut up and say he was the cook and knew what to do. At the table, the young man snapped at her to pass the empty plates. "At least ask politely if you can't reach them," he said. Not a very pleasant atmosphere. And I also had a stomach ache afterward, which kept me up all night.

It was cozy and busy. The food wasn't anything to write home about. The steak was tough and the vegetables so salty that taking a bite felt like taking a sip from the sea. It was the first and last time I've eaten here.

I don't give a star, the food is old and not fresh. Very chaotic. I would definitely not recommend it to people. It was the first time but also the last time.

Went here last night with some company. What a typical foodie place, I can't describe it as anything else 😑 For €51.95 (weekend rate for 3 hours), unlimited food and drinks is a bit steep. You have to eat a lot to get your money's worth. Let's talk about the atmosphere, well, there's none. It's just crowded, with long lines of hungry people everywhere waiting for a piece of meat. The quality of the meat, fish, and various other products looked good. I definitely won't be going back. But I can imagine plenty of people who do get their money's worth.

Super good, fresh food, fish, meat, chicken, and oysters, salmon, especially the 🍣 is incredibly fresh and delicious, and the price is affordable, just like the general all-you-can-eat concept. Highly recommended, especially sitting near the buffet; it's romantic and cozy. The front by the window is also nice, but you're really in the light... I prefer the cozy atmosphere near the buffet. Plenty of room for large groups, families, or just the two of you.

We went to dinner tonight around 6:30 PM, and it was incredibly busy and noisy. We had to wait a really long time for our food; the sushi was completely undercooked and raw. At some all-you-can-eat restaurants, you don't realize it's a food shack, but here the staff really should pay attention to ensuring that children and some adults treat the food respectfully, taking it and then putting it back in filthy condition! The selection is enormous, but because you have to wait in line for so long, it's impossible to eat normally. I walked around the block twice and then stopped eating. The staff speaks very unclearly, but with all due respect, but then you have to place your order twice and the third time they ask you, "What do you want, ma'am?" The chocolate fountain really needs to be monitored, also for hygiene reasons; children end up with their fingers and hands in the food. I wouldn't go back here again; please save your money!

We thought it was a great place when we walked in. We'd never been here before, but the online reviews and videos looked good and promising! We arrived and were greeted by a friendly lady, and the concept was well explained. But as soon as we started our first round, we were greeted by a fly on the sushi! And we quickly discovered that the food wasn't fresh... you could taste (especially with sushi) that the salmon and rice had gotten quite hard, the meat was very tough, and my fried shrimp was soggy and yellow inside. The sauces you could scoop yourself had a nasty, thick layer. Even the spekkoek (bacon cake) was soggy. Unfortunately, there were also a lot of disgusting people who picked up slices of pizza, checked if it was good, and then simply put it back?! I understand that for a €44.95 All You Can Eat restaurant, you can't expect a 5⭐️ rating, but this was simply disgusting. I'll never come back!

Wow, it was like a zoo. There's plenty of food and drink options. All-inclusive, reasonably priced. However, I would split the tables between tables with and without children. Crying babies, children running around in their socks. It just makes you feel even more like a run-of-the-mill junkyard. For a bit more atmosphere, I'd go elsewhere.

It's not very big, especially when it's incredibly busy. They do make fresh pancakes and poffertjes, though. For the price, I definitely wouldn't come back.

Lucky Apple Waalwijk is a great place to eat. 🍣 The all-you-can-eat concept works perfectly: there's plenty of variety, the sushi is delicious, and it's not the cheap stuff you sometimes get elsewhere. The oysters were a highlight for me – surprisingly delicious for an all-you-can-eat restaurant. There's also a more than ample selection of hot dishes and side dishes, so you really feel like you can try everything. The price-quality ratio is excellent. You pay a reasonable price and are guaranteed to leave with a full stomach. The service is also smooth: orders are served neatly and quickly, so you never have to wait long. So why not 5 stars? It's not because of the food or the service, but because of the atmosphere. We regularly get "tokkies" – types you'd think have just dropped out of the restaurant. That really detracts from the ambiance and lowers the quality of the restaurant. In summary: food = excellent, variety = wide, price = good, atmosphere = let down by the crowd. Therefore, I give it a solid 4 stars.

We've been coming here for ages, and every time we go, we leave feeling incredibly satisfied! We always come here for birthdays too.

Lots of choices. (Hence two stars and not one.) The food in the containers was cold, and the chicken wings flew around behind me because a child was throwing food. Children in the play area kept screaming, crying, and even fighting. It was very crowded, a waste of our money. Stomach aches for hours afterward.

A lot of food is cold in containers. The tenderloin was poor quality and overflowing with water. Mediocre selection at the wok. On the restroom floor were satay sticks and some peanut sauce (though that could have been something else in that location, of course). Maybe handy if you fancy a snack while doing your business. I visited once years ago, and it was good then, but I'll never go back. Far below par.

There are also plenty of bottled drinks, and the lovely bar also has a wide selection of tasty drinks. In short: go for it, you won't regret it!

Ate in here one night, was very clean and service was ok. The food was actually good good in the whole and the selection of soft drinks was excellent. Only thing we did not like was that everyone pays their same price, which is not great if you aren’t alcohol drinkers like us. There should be an an option like at other buffets were alcohol is an extra add on. Because of this we would not eat here again.

I ate here last Tuesday for my birthday. I invited my family to dinner, and we got a nice offer: the birthday boy or girl gets free. We were warmly welcomed by the lady behind the counter and the young man who showed us to our table. Then we started eating, but unfortunately, it wasn't a positive experience. I've eaten here before, and the food was good. This time, the dishes were either raw or burnt. I tried corn on the cob four times, and all four were pitch black. The vegetables and fish weren't fully cooked either. And the burgers were as hard as hockey sticks. Normally always good, but unfortunately, I had a negative experience at Lucky Apple this time.

Every year during the holidays we come back here after a day at Efteling

We've been eating at Lucky Apple regularly since it opened. We love the food, atmosphere, and staff, and the ample selection is the best of all the restaurants with a similar concept we've been to so far, so we'll only eat at Lucky Apple. We always go for 2.5 hours to eat at our leisure and enjoy the atmosphere longer. The atmosphere and food are also excellent during holidays. The restaurant is easily accessible from the highway. All in all, a good, top-notch restaurant.

Lucky Apple is the perfect all-you-can-eat restaurant after a day at Efteling. We've eaten here several times and always left satisfied. Be sure to make a reservation in advance, as it can get busy. The selection of dishes is enormous, and everything is freshly replenished so everyone (including our children) can find something they like. Drinks are also included in the price, so you know how much you'll spend. The staff is friendly and explains everything. We're fans of the sushi, poke bowl, grilled meats, and of course the dessert buffet, but as mentioned, there's a huge variety of other options besides those.

The price-quality ratio is excellent, the service is extremely poor. A month before my parents' 60th wedding anniversary, I made a reservation for nine people, with the request to give our visit a festive touch. A week later, I called because I hadn't received any confirmation or anything. I asked if the free birthday offer also applied to my parents (even if it was only for one person). On the day itself, I called again in the afternoon because I still hadn't seen a confirmation and pointed out the special occasion again. Upon arrival, I asked at reception if everything had been arranged, and sure enough, everything was noted. She read it out loud! We had a reservation from 7 to 10 pm, and there was no sign of a festive atmosphere: no fireworks, no congratulations, no promotion, nothing! When I spoke to the manager about this, he said he was 100 times sorry, but still no discount or voucher for a cup of coffee or anything... he decided to put a firework on our already cleared, empty table... well, thank you, once but never again.

Food is good fresh and varied. Staff slow to clear plates. Very warm and very noisy. As you might expect but could be done a bit better and definitely needs some or improved air conditioning.
