Top location. The most beautiful forest café in Limburg!

I went for lunch at the Boscafé for the first time today. I was really hungry after a bike ride. The menu is very extensive and there is something for everyone. The concept of the "12 o'clock special" was very well thought out, allowing you to customize it exactly how you wanted. I chose the croquette, tomato soup, and the tuna salad/salmon add-on. The total price was €22. The improvements I would like to suggest for this price are: The slice with the croquette was actually nothing special. A run-of-the-mill croquette on a slice of white corn bread. I would toast the slice a bit. As it was, the croquette was simply placed on top with nothing else. You did get a packet of mustard with it, which looks much nicer served in a small bowl. The slice with tuna salad and salmon was the same (extra €4.50). A slice of corn bread with just salmon and a little tuna salad. A shame, because with a nice dressing and some fresh dill, it would look much nicer and better. Unfortunately, there were also some brown pieces on the salmon, which does not look appetizing at all. If this cost 13 euros, it would be fine, but €22 is disproportionate. There is room for improvement.

We had game BBQ. It was delicious. The people from Busjob organized everything well and are customer-friendly. They also chatted with the customer. Definitely worth repeating.

On the way back from a weekend, we stopped by here for lunch: what a pleasant surprise! It is situated in a beautiful spot, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and we had a delicious meal. It had been a while since I was in a restaurant where everything was just right; it is definitely worth visiting again.

Simply a lovely place to visit. Always plenty of space. Even when it's busy, you receive good service. Extensive menu. Cozy atmosphere. Large covered terrace.

What a lovely and beautiful terrace. It was busy but we weren't bothered by it at all. Fast and friendly service, very nice! The food was delicious and even a bit too much for some of us. The food was also nice and hot, as it should be…. A solid 10 from us👌🏻

August 17, 2026 in response to the owner's comment: It's nice that the owner is sending a response immediately. However, his staff did not tell the truth. When we had taken the first bite of the hamburger and the waitress in question asked us how the food was, we immediately reported that the hamburger was cold, and the same for the soggy fries. The waitress said—just out of routine, I think—FINE and walked on. Surprised, we ate the bad meal anyway because we were hungry. Furthermore, we mentioned this again when the table was being cleared and before paying, but then she said that we should have mentioned it sooner..... what nonsense this was! We ate a soggy, cold hamburger which must have been purchased pre-cooked and frozen, after which it was deep-fried and kept warm au bain-marie, or at least attempted to be. Despite reporting this, it was ignored. Really bad

Cycled to forest cafe de Busjop for the second time. Both times there was no room for us. It was completely full. We had to wait until someone left. We aren't going to chase people away. Maybe make reservations for lunch too? We cycled to the village and had a nice lunch there. Won't try it again.

Visited De Busjop for the umpteenth time. We’ve been there for lunch before, but this time for dinner. The atmosphere and service were absolutely top-notch, just like every time. Of course, you can always find some criticism regarding the food, but we were very satisfied. We will certainly be coming back here more often. Highly recommended in any case.

Beautiful, atmospheric location in nature.

On the way back from vacation, we deliberately made a detour to dine here. Reason: the play facilities for the children. It was absolutely worth it and we will recommend it to everyone. We had a delicious meal and that Dutch mayonnaise was definitely a hit again :-) Very friendly and attentive staff despite the crowds. Well done and keep up the good work!

Nicely situated in the woods. Ample parking spaces. The selection of ice cream is limited and pricey. In general, prices are on the high side.

It was my first time there and certainly not my last. A beautiful wooded area where you immediately feel calm and at ease. Various cozy seating areas, but wherever you sit... you enjoy everything around you. And you do get some nice company from beautiful peacocks strolling around there. Fast service... drinks arrived quickly and they gave you plenty of time to read the menu at your leisure. After placing our order, we had to wait a reasonable amount of time for it to be brought to us, and the food we received looked very well presented on the plate and tasted really delicious too. 👍 The waitstaff do a good job... they are not pushy... they are well-groomed and neat... they are helpful and friendly and provide clear and good explanations if you ask something about, for example, a glass of wine or the food. My sister-in-law and I had a few lovely and enjoyable hours... there will definitely be a sequel...

I have eaten here regularly over the past few years; however, last week the spare ribs were really not tasty (to put it mildly). The wait staff's response was: "Yes, tastes differ." That's true, but it's also very convenient. I've always had good food here, but the quality has been declining in recent years (too successful?). By the way, when leaving, there was another table complaining about the spare ribs. I got the impression they were marinated completely wrong, but oh well, it was a matter of taste, right?

Had a nice meal, 2 adults and 2 children. Very friendly service, drinks served lightning fast. Taste and quantity were good, nothing spectacular, a bit (too) salty here and there, but still certainly good.

We had an incredibly delicious and enjoyable meal with the family at Boscafé de Busjop! Across from the terrace is a fenced (safe) play area with a climbing tower and a slide. It is visible from the terrace, which is nice. The food and service were also absolutely top-notch. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Fantastic place!! We visited here twice during our holiday in Limburg. We stopped there during a bike ride and it is a place you really don't want to leave. Very friendly service, everything looks super neat, and we enjoyed a pastry with iced coffee. To round off the holiday, we went there for dinner one more time. You sit on a cozy terrace surrounded by animals and the children can play in the playground. If you haven't been here yet, be sure to check it out because it is worth it.

Been there twice in quick succession. Nice location, but the service is really disappointing. Last time I had to chase someone over myself. Today, after waiting for fifteen minutes, with a 3/4 empty terrace and only 3 people on the terrace, I just left. A shame. Hospitality is about providing service, and now I've been disappointed twice here.

Last week (July 2026), we went here for lunch with 3 people. We sat on the lovely terrace, and the location is truly fantastic. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back here anytime soon. The food was of mediocre quality. For about €16, I had a spicy chicken sandwich. It was half a baguette that had been opened up, with some marinated chicken on top. Next to it were 5 pieces of nacho chips. My table companions had the venison stew for €22.50 each. This was a small bowl of meat, accompanied by a small bowl of fries and some salad. Including 3 drinks per person, we had to pay over €90. The price-quality ratio is disproportionate with this. Yes, the location is great. But to get so little to eat for so much money and having to pay top dollar for, say, a bottle of cola... Unfortunately. That makes me feel pretty ripped off.

We took a pleasant walk and then had a delicious meal at Boscafe de Busjop. Even though it was very busy, we were served quickly.

Country ambiance with good food. All 3 of us had spare ribs, well prepared and a nice big portion. Wide selection of deserts to finish the meal. As always an enjoyable meal.

What a fantastic location. We got married at De Busjop on June 26, 2026. They were so helpful with the hot weather. Karin provided towels with ice water. Martijn arranged the stretch tent for the sheep meadow. The staff on hand went about their work and took care of everything. Words cannot describe it, simply perfect. Thanks again.

What a nice place, I've often heard and seen it on social media. I ended up here on the recommendation of Veti (a tile shop in Heythuysen) and it was a super experience. Nice, quick, and attentive service, and the food arrived quickly and tasted great.

Had a nice cup of coffee during my walk for The May 50K. Despite the dreary weather, the Busjop exudes atmosphere and coziness both inside and out. Did not give stars for the food, because I did not eat there.

The ambiance and service were good. The food, however, could be improved and doesn't match the prices.

The snack platter was incomplete and the olives were not large as stated on the menu, but it is very tasty and cozy, a nice pub.

Nice atmosphere and delicious food

Nice place. Ample parking. Reservations are not possible. We were there on the weekend and there was a long line to get a spot. The food is good. Large portions. Good value for money. Unfortunately, the wooden picnic bench on the back terrace tore my trousers (not jeans). Pieces of wood are sticking out that my trousers got caught on, and there are now snags in my pants.

It is big and busy, so you have to wait a bit, but the food makes up for it!

Very nice and cozy forest cafe. With a wide selection of beers, drinks, and food on the menu. There are also various walking routes and play areas for children. Very friendly staff, highly recommended.

We ate here with 15 people. We booked for a different day by accident, but despite the crowds, we were welcome. We had just sat down on the terrace when a huge thunderstorm broke out, and we were given a spot inside in no time. Everything was arranged perfectly! The service here is lightning fast and attentive! We will definitely be back.

A very nice, beautiful, high-quality place right in the middle of the forest. We arrived last minute, but there was still a spot available. Lovely ambiance and top-notch dishes. The menu is incredibly diverse, catering to different times of the day. We had dinner with T-bone steak, spareribs, and ordered a kids' box for the little one. As a side, I had a steak tartare, which was really good. I did miss a toast with it, but a bread roll was quickly arranged. Now to finish with the cheese board and an ice cream sundae. All in all, highly recommended! There was also a bone available for the dog to gnaw on. They excel at details! We will definitely be coming back here to try other dishes.

I have never eaten or drunk anything there, but it always looks very cozy. And the location is great: you can walk straight into nature, and for people with small children: there are playgrounds *and* a number of animals!

It is a shame that the children's corner/cupboard inside is in the darkest corner and that all the toys in the cupboard (which is all there is) are incomplete. Even the colored pencils were blunt and impossible to sharpen because there was no sharpener. My daughter even asked for one at the bar, but to no avail. We thought the food was okay, but far too pricey for the children for what they got. The service was substandard; nothing was done about a complaint, and you can tell that not everyone knows what being service-oriented means. It is a pity, but we will not be coming back.
