What a lovely place! A cozy atmosphere, friendly service, delicious food, great prices, and the specialty iced coffees are also delicious! We love coming here!

Cozy terrace in the heart of the Heldense Bossen. We had a delicious satay menu and definitely the best fries in the area. Good quality food. Friendly service. UPDATE SEPTEMBER 25 Now with an extensive menu, various soups, various set menus, and of course fries with a wide selection of snacks. Even dessert. Cozy restaurant area. Also for groups. We've had several delicious meals there at a fair price.

What a wonderful experience at Boscafe de Gaffel. You can get there from the campsite or even if you're just taking a walk in the Heldense forest. The snack platter is delicious, the burgers are amazing, and the waffles are fantastic. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, whether the cafe is full or you're alone. We'll be back next year!

After I was served raw chicken, I immediately reported it. I suggested I take the satay stick with me and get a new one. The lady didn't. She took my whole plate back to the kitchen, and I got fresh chicken. But...it took so long that my family had already finished their plates, and I still had to start by myself.

The food here is good by Dutch standards! I really enjoy it here.

Unfortunately today I had a disappointing experience here. I ordered a double burger bacon, the burger was so dried out as if it had been there all afternoon, just like the bun. Normally you can solve this with a nice layer of sauce, but this was also missing. When I reported this to the staff, they tried to solve it, but unfortunately this was no good for me. When paying, I had to pay for the burger without batting an eyelid, I had taken 1 bite. Never again for me!

Had a lovely lunch. Service was perfect and super friendly. I collect bock beer glasses and asked for the beautiful governors glass where they serve double. Was no problem, just got a clean one. Thank you.

Fries were soggy and we waited 40 minutes for 2 special fries even though it wasn't busy. In addition, people who ordered after us still received it before us...

The food and drink were good, the ambience was great too. Unfortunately you cannot rely on the opening times. Only when there is little going on does the café stay closed even though it should be open.

Spent some pleasant hours on the terrace, sometimes the music is a little too loud, so we consciously chose a spot away from the box. I just thought the prices were a bit on the high side, if they were a bit lower, like on terraces in the village, we would have stayed more often/longer. The Burgundian croquette was really my favorite on the menu. Employees super friendly. Also often something tasty for the dog, depending on who was there.

Went here on Ascension Day last year, the first day was great: the right people in the right places, a lady who took orders with a good helicopter view, but the next day was a big contrast to the day before. After the first drink they were overlooked and we asked if we could withdraw a small amount of money because we had no cash with us and a fairground attraction is right next to their business, this was apparently not possible, in our opinion also a somewhat grumpy boss ( I still express myself politely). Another lady who asked for additional cash was also told that she had to go one village further, because they had a bank there, they were not an ATM. It's a shame that for some reason this all seems to be too much effort and friendliness and hospitality costs nothing, perhaps it will result in a better review next time. In this way one creates frustration and a disappointed little child because it is not possible to catch up after having already consumed something with an explanation that is not sufficient All in all a disappointing experience today for both parents and child The two stars are only because of the good service yesterday

Delicious iced coffee, nice beer list and menu for lunch and dinner. But especially nice next to the playground. Kids happy. Mom and dad are happy too.

Great place with friendly staff

Quite expensive for a campsite... 22 euros for 4 croquette sandwiches. Not a cheerful service. We won't be going here again anytime soon.

Super nice forest café located in the Heldense Bossen on a large forest playground where you can enjoy coffee with fresh pie or a drink. Nice staff. There is a small menu with, among other things, a cone of fries, all kinds of sandwiches and snacks. You will find dart boards and pool billiards.

Gezellig terras met veel speelplezier voor de kinderen in de directe omgeving. Wij lekker genieten van een drankje en de kinderen kunnen lekker gaan spelen. Vanaf het terras heb je zicht op de meeste speeltoestellen waardoor je kunt blijven zitten. Veel soorten eten kun je hier niet bestellen maar wel het gangbare zoals snacks. Binnen kun je ook prima zitten, er is genoeg plek.

Great animations tema, who all do their best to be there for the kids. Even though some of them was a bit insecure about speaking English (for no reason, they're were all trying their best) they made sure my boys were a part if the show, and showed them what to do and when...

Helaas door het personeelstekort wat te weinig open maar voor t overige een goede zaak met een verrassende keus uit bier.

Liebe den Campingplatz,aber prathoes war besser!!! In De gaffel versteht keiner deutsch, ich bestelle rot blaues Slush, und die geben mir rot. Ausserdem haben die mich abgezogen. Eigentlich hätte ich mehr Slushs für das Geld bekommen.

Leuke locatie in het bos, gezellige bediening en de ijskoffie is een echte aanrader!
