Dinner with the family. Tasty dishes, wide selection, very good service, great atmosphere. We will do it again.

We did the lunch puzzle tasting today, highly recommended!! Delicious food, fun puzzles, friendly service, great atmosphere!!

The food was a bit like a first date – it looked promising, but the chemistry was lacking. 😄 Unfortunately, the fish was rather bland. I ate it, tried to decipher the flavor, and wasn't entirely sure what my taste buds were trying to tell me. The burger was definitely better and overall okay, but it also lacked that one touch that makes you think, "Oh yeah, I'll be back for that," after the last bite. The service, however, was fantastic. Lightning fast, polite, and really efficient. Definitely a 5/5 here. The place itself is also very nice, atmospheric, and makes a great first impression. And I think that's why expectations for the food automatically rise. It wasn't bad, not at all. The place simply promises a bit more than what you actually get on your plate. The atmosphere is there – now I'll have a little more flavor, please. 😉

Cozy terrace, wonderfully beautiful playground for children, coffee is really just a small cup, tea is fine with various flavors.

It is a nice spot nearby if you want to grab a drink and a bite to eat on a sunny day. The menu offers a good selection, but could perhaps be a bit more extensive. But there is certainly plenty of choice! The service is friendly and the staff are good at following up on things. There is also plenty of space for (small) children to play.

It wasn't wrong or bad or unappetizing... it's more that you expect to be able to go for lunch at a nice location in the woods. I didn't expect to end up at a holiday park restaurant with screaming little kids running around on this particular day. A restaurant with a very small lunch menu (yes, if only I had just looked online), so for me, this wasn't it. And consequently, it didn't leave me very excited.

Very small portions, the pork belly was very mushy with just one spoonful of vegetables underneath. And it is supposed to be warm, but it was cold. Very disappointing. Half of the playground equipment was broken or didn't work. And long waits...

Never been before, but ended up after a day at Veldhoven Zoo. Beautiful location and the food was delicious. The children can also play there perfectly well.

We visited this place with our 4-year-old son, hoping he could enjoy the playground while we relaxed with a drink and maybe some food. The playground itself looks really nice, spacious, and perfect for young children. However, our experience at the restaurant was very disappointing. We were asked to wait at the entrance, and despite there being several empty tables, the waitress told us they could not accept us. When I pointed out the available tables, she responded in a sarcastic and unprofessional way, saying that if we knew any waiters or chefs, then they could accept more guests. We found this attitude quite rude and unwelcoming. As a result, we decided to leave. Our son was understandably upset to leave the playground, which was unfortunate. Luckily, we found another place nearby where the staff was friendly and accommodating, which made a big difference. Based on this experience, we will not be returning and cannot recommend this place.

Beautiful terrace with a nice, well-enclosed playground. It is a pity that we could not eat anything (kitchen not open yet), while various dishes were being served a few tables away. It is also a shame about the many smokers on a terrace full of children.

We had a reservation for today. Upon arrival, the parking lot and the entrance to the restaurant were already completely full of cars. While putting down the bikes, you could already hear a heavy bass from the music. As we walked to the restaurant, the music only got louder. Inside the restaurant, you could barely understand each other because a section of the restaurant had been rented out, and the music there was so loud that the entire restaurant was suffering from the noise disturbance. We therefore decided on the spot not to dine there and turned around. What a terrible concept; the insulation leaves much to be desired, and it is ridiculous that there is another restaurant section open that people have to pay for. This is unacceptable!

Dear people at the Boscafé, The three of us really enjoyed ourselves yesterday at Boscafé Molenveld. Despite unexpected staff shortages, Simone and her team really made the best of it. Such situations are not easy for anyone on the day itself, so that is precisely why we have extra respect for how it was handled. The service was friendly and personal, with that nice "we all know each other" feeling that you don't find everywhere anymore these days. The food was delicious and we felt truly welcome. A very nice place to come and eat as a young family. For us, this was the first time, but certainly not the last. Thank you Simone and crew, hats off to how you handled it!

Nice place to visit with kids. It has outdoor and indoor playgrounds. Food and service are decent . Worth giving it a try.

I think some dishes are simply getting too expensive. It's a shame, because it's a nice and cozy place, but it's a long drive and the prices are quite high, so it becomes uninteresting.

We arrived at this restaurant a bit further from home with our voucher. It's located on a holiday park, the atmosphere is lovely, and the service staff is fantastic! The food took a little longer to arrive, but we were kept well-informed. The food was simply delicious, nothing to complain about, but the portions were really small. Carpaccio with prawns was carpaccio with 4 prawns, though very tasty. The main course, chicken pesto, was a rather dry chicken breast with herbs on top, but it didn't taste like the pesto you'd expect from basil and pine nuts. The chicken had simply become too dry. The chicken came with a few slices of vegetables, a really tiny portion, and 8 fries with fried potato sticks. Afterward, we had a very tasty pecan meringue dessert, which was quite a lot (two slices of cake), which was fantastic. My husband's Dame Blanche biscuit lacked flavor. We found the price/quality/quantity to be mediocre overall, but we enjoyed our meal and had a pleasant evening. So, no complaints. For big eaters, we would suggest adding bread beforehand or ordering more. That certainly wouldn't have been a problem, but we don't expect it to be if you want to eat a 3-course meal.

It's a cozy place to sit. Friendly staff. You can have a nice lunch there. Sometimes they have bands. A great location for parties. Parking is also easy, always convenient. It's also a comfortable place for people in wheelchairs. All in all, worth a try.

A fantastic place!! Wonderfully relaxing. Perfect spot in a healthy location on the edge of the forest, with a beautiful flower garden. Great for kids. The forest café inside is also highly recommended. Super friendly service, always willing to help!

We were sat for quite a time, several servers came and went to bring food to sitting guests but non came over to take our order (or that of other new guests)

The food was delicious. The venison steak with port sauce was perfectly prepared, just like a Christmas dinner 😄. The staff were incredibly hospitable, the waitress had a great sense of humor, and the atmosphere was lovely. The crème brûlée with a winter twist was also highly recommended. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures; it was gone too quickly 😋.

During our visit, we had to change our little one's diaper. When we went to the accessible/baby area, an employee (an old man) came from the storage room, slammed the door open against the restroom door, and then gave me a bitter look. Without apologizing, he walked off with his crate of beer. The spare ribs were also delicious, dry, and just had a sauce on them. When paying, the servers wait until you name a different amount. They expect a tip here, which is really annoying. Just fill in the amount you want to pay properly. I won't be coming back.

Beautiful, atmospheric and large terrace with a lovely playground

One of the nicest and most peaceful restaurants in the Eindhoven area for parents with young children. Relaxed atmosphere and good food.

The Iberian rib fingers were a starter. They were delicious. The main course was pork belly with prawns and chicken satay. The pork belly was very tender, and the chicken satay was a bit overcooked. It was okay, nothing special. For dessert, the pecan-hazelnut meringue was tasty, but I couldn't taste the hazelnut. There was a DJ that night. We didn't need it.

A pleasant and relaxed dining experience, a truly beautiful location, and very friendly and attentive staff, a rare experience. The food is carefully prepared. The menu has something for everyone and is all very affordable. The wide selection of non-alcoholic beers is also a plus. The restaurant, the terrace—everything, in fact, is exceptionally clean and meticulously maintained. Highly recommended!

A bumpy road to get there. The food is nothing special. The outdoor terrace is spacious and has a nice play area for kids.

This is definitely our favorite patio. Cozy, welcoming, good food and drinks, dog-friendly, and the staff is always friendly and has a delightfully relaxed Brabant vibe. It's located opposite a forest, making it easy to walk the dog before settling in on the beautiful patio. Children will also love it here, as there's a large playground right next to the patio. Parents can join them in the playground or keep an eye on them. Tip: definitely try the truffle fries! Sweet potato with truffle sauce and grated cheese...so delicious!

Eaten here many times and now for the first time that we were less satisfied. The meals have been considerably reduced in portion and after waiting for fifteen minutes for the promised menu for a dessert (there were quite a few people outside, but we occupied 1 of the 2 tables inside, so we were in sight) we went to pay at the bar; we did not get any (eye) contact with the many staff. Ordering more than 1 drink was therefore not possible.

Very unprofessional people. We called one day before going. They said they don't take online booking you can come directly. Second day we went there, kids were excited to play there and eat. But when we reach they said we can't take you as we have only one cook. Kids got disappointed and it was evening so couldn't look for another nearby place to go. So it was totally failed evening with sad kids. Not worth to drive there....

We went here last weekend with 3 adults and 4 kids.I did online reservation and the reservation was cancelled.So i call them to do telephone reservation.I was told that we cannot make a reservation for 7 people(big group), however you can come without reservation.We go there at the exact time mentioned.At the reception they say we are understaffed and cannot give you a table.We r standing here with 4 small kids eagerly waiting to eat and play.On a sat evening it is not even possible to make quick change of plans.At the same time we see a group of 10 people and also even more jist walking in.I have no idea how did they reserve as phone or website reservation was not acceptable.No proper apology.No accomodation.We woukd ahve been gone in 2 hrs or so.So many more people with big groups walked in after us.On the phone they could have said that they are understaffed however they asked me to just come.Giving 1 star for everything because our whole evening was spoilt. Frustrated kids and annoyed moms.Never coming back here.

Vandaag met vrienden daar na 1 jaar wederom genoten van de visschotel en het broodje Tonijn. Het Aspergesoep(je) viel iets tegen omdat de inhoud klonterig was en weinig was voorzien van Asperges. Voor de rest een pracht accomodatie met een prachtig vernieuwd terras. Aanbevelenswaardig dat zeker.

Experienced Easter brunch today. The location and atmosphere of the restaurant have been well renovated. The brunch was of reasonable quality. Missed some luxurious things such as salmon and not even a deviled egg. But fine for the price. Service is friendly, but some still have to learn something in terms of hospitality and communication. You don't call out when the buffet is open: if you're hungry, you can go grab something. A little training and it's great!

Wat een tegenvaller. We hadden diner-cadeau bonnen die we hier konden besteden, zag er gezellig uit. Niet naar de reviews van te voren gekeken. - Bij reservering duidelijk aangegeven dat een persoon allergie voor schaal- en schelpdieren heeft en geen gejodeerd zout mag. - Duurde een tijd voordat we geholpen werden, ze zeiden dat ze het druk hadden en zich niet konden splitsen. Bij overleg bleek dat ze er weinig of geen rekening mee konden houden. Eten werd niet vers bereid en sausen etc. was kant en klaar. Alles werd gebakken/gefrituurd in dezelfde pannen. De bruchette als voorgerecht was niet op voorraad, als hoofdgerecht dan maar gekozen voor een maaltijd salade... - Vervolgens een uur en kwartier moeten wachten op het voorgerechten, daarna nog dik half uur op hoofdgerecht. - De carpaccio salade bevatte weinig carpaccio, voornamelijk saus. De diamant haas was wel oké. - De bedienden stonden met zijn vieren op hun gemak achter de bar te praten en ook koks kwamen relaxed af en toe kijken. - Een en ander leek hun weinig te doen, totaal geen inleving/interesse wat er gebeurd. We waren niet de enige die lang moesten wachten, grotere tafels die later binnen kwamen werden wel sneller geholpen. Maar geen nagerecht en koffie meer besteld. - Tenslotte bleek dat we maar -een- diner-cadeau kaart konden inleveren, dus moesten we alsnog bijbetalen. Volgens de diner-cadeau site moet dit wel kunnen, maar bij navraag was dit blijkbaar hun huis beleid, stond achteraf ook op de site van het Bos café. Geen aanrader dit restaurant helaas.

What a disappointment. We had dinner gift vouchers that we could spend here, it looked nice. Didn't look at the reviews in advance. - When booking, it is clearly stated that a person has an allergy to crustaceans and shellfish and is not allowed to use iodised salt. - Took a while before we were helped, they said they were busy and couldn't split up. During consultation it turned out that they could take little or no account of it. Food was not freshly prepared and sauces etc. were ready-made. Everything was baked/fried in the same pans. The bruchette as a starter was not in stock, so we opted for a salad meal as a main course... - Then had to wait an hour and fifteen minutes for the starters, then another half hour for the main course. - The carpaccio salad contained little carpaccio, mainly sauce. The diamond hare was okay. - The four servants stood behind the bar, chatting leisurely and the chefs also came to watch in a relaxed manner from time to time. - They didn't seem to care much about anything, no empathy or interest at all about what was happening. We were not the only ones who had to wait a long time, larger tables that came in later were served faster. But no more dessert and coffee ordered. - Finally, it turned out that we could only hand in one dinner gift card, so we still had to pay extra. According to the dinner-gift site, this should be possible, but when asked, this was apparently their house policy, which was later also stated on the Bos café website. Unfortunately, we do not recommend this restaurant.

Het eten was goed, maar de gastvrijheid was ver te zoeken... Met een Social Deal arrangement, koffie & gebak, wandeling en lunch, bestelde ik een cappuccino. Dan moest ik wel bij betalen, werd mij meteen gezegd. Ik stond perplex! Het prijsverschil met gewone koffie was maar €0,60! Belachelijk, maar niet niet moeilijk doen.... Het was erg rustig en we wilden op een bank gaan zitten, maar dat mocht niet. We moesten een tweepersoonstafeltje nemen. Het werd niet vriendelijk verzocht en het was niet te begrijpen; er waren nauwelijks gasten, zowel bij aankomst als bij vertrek. Goed,weer niet moeilijk doen... Na afloop betaalde ik de rekening van de drankjes bij de lunch met €1.50 extra.... voor de cappuccino. Heel sneu!

Leuk restaurant met een goede sfeer en ambiance, ook de honden zijn welkom en mooie omgeving om te wandelen. De lunch was zeer goed en heerlijk, aanrader is toch wel broodje hete kip. Leuke middag gehad , ook door het prachtige weer wellicht, komen hier zeker nog eens terug.

The road there was a disaster... we were stuck in the mud. But lunch afterwards was fine and the service was very friendly.

An attractive restaurant where hospitality is of paramount importance! The inside is very tastefully decorated, which creates a nice ambiance and homely warmth. The food is tasty, more than enough, and clearly fresh and made with love. Highly recommended for a meal, we will definitely come back.

04 - 07 - 2024 A weekend at the Molenvelden holiday park. Had dinner at Boscafé Molenvelden. 3 evenings. What delicious dishes and what super nice service. Friendly, quick, time for a chat. If we are in the area we will definitely visit Boscafé Molenvelden again. Top ladies and gentlemen. The 4 sisters

Went for a drink. Service bad! When I asked for a glass of water, I was told; we don't have that, only spa blue. (Yes, fine ?!) And then we wanted to order something else, but we had to pay first. So I didn't order anything anymore. Shame!

Verschrikkelijk onvriendelijk personeel die niet met de klant kan "meeveren" Wij, opa en oma, kwamen met onze kleinkinderen hier in eerste instantie panenkoeken eten. Dat ze dit al 6 jaar niet meer doen werd zeer onvriendelijk gezegd. Nou dan gaan we maar wat anders bij jullie eten. Eigenlijk wilde ik net als de een van de kleinkinderen gewoon friet met een frikandel, wat gewoon op het menu staat. Omdat ik maar kleine porties kan en mag eten leek me dit voldoende. Het is voor volwassenen niet toegestaan een kindermenu te bestellen, en ze waren zeker niet meegaand. Wij komen er niet meer terug dat is zeker

We gingen om 13:00 uur naar BosCafe Molenvelden, we bestelden een tweegangenmenu voor ons en een kaastosti voor de kinderen. Na 45 minuten kwam alleen de soep als voorgerecht en niets voor de kinderen. Daarna wachtten we weer 1 uur en gebeurde er niets. De kinderen werden gek. Elke keer als we het aan de medewerker vroegen, zei hij dat het eraan kwam. Er gebeurde niets tot 15:00 uur. Toen we zeiden dat het langer zou duren dan we wilden, annuleerden we de bestelling. De manager heeft geen enkele ethiek en annuleerde de bestelling onmiddellijk. We betaalden voor drankjes en soep. We hebben twee uur voor niets verspild. De kinderen wachtten twee uur op toast en na twee uur vertrokken de kinderen met een lege maag. De plek is niet aan te raden voor gezinnen met kinderen.

Not child friendly, very poor service We went to BosCafe Molenvelden at 1:00 PM, we ordered a two-course menu for us and a cheese toastie for the children. After 45 minutes only the soup came as a starter and nothing for the children. Then we waited another 1 hour and nothing happened. The kids went crazy. Every time we asked the employee he said it was coming. Nothing happened until 3:00 PM. When we said it would take longer than we wanted, we canceled the order. The manager has no ethics whatsoever and immediately canceled the order. We paid for drinks and soup. We wasted two hours for nothing. The children waited two hours for toast and after two hours the children left with an empty stomach. The place is not recommended for families with children. Please teach your manager and employees how to treat people, especially children.

Very Worst, Not Kids friendly We went to BosCafe Molenvelden at 1:00PM, we have ordered two course menu for us and cheese toasty for children’s, After 45 minutes only the starter Soup arrived and nothing for children, after that we were waiting again for 1 hour and nothing happened, children went crazy. Every time when we asked the employee, the said it is coming, nothing happened until 15:00. when we said if it is going to take more time than we want to cancel, the manager does not have any ethics, she cancelled the order immediately. we paid for drinks and soup. we wasted two hours for nothing. kids were waiting two hours for Toast and after two hours kids left with empty stomach. Place is not advised for family with children.

Had mussels tonight. Super! Very tasty. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The background music was also nice. All in all, highly recommended to eat there.

We used to be fans of this place, then had an experience with the owner that means we won't be going there again, which is a shame as the staff are very pleasant. It may seem a small point, but I see it as a very cynical way to fleece you of your money. 1) Along with 4 main courses, some of which don't come with chips (friets), we ordered a couple of extra plates of chips which, not mentioned on menu, come with a little saucer of mayonnaise. When the chips arrived I asked for curry sauce instead of the mayonnaise, which they brought to me. It was only afterwards, when checking the bill, that I noticed that, not only had they charged €0.50 extra per portion of chips, for the mayonnaise we didn't ask for, but they then charged a further €0.60 for the portion of curry sauce. €1.60 for sauces, 2 of which we didn't ask for. 2) It was a hot day and we had already ordered the food, plus a round of drinks for 4 people. When we asked for a jug of tap water to go with it we were told this was not possible. Another cynical way to get you to spend even more money on drinks. Having had pleasant dealings with the owner before, I mentioned these two points to him in a friendly way afterwards, and he tersely responded that he would not be changing this policy, turned on his heels and walked off. Disappointing attitude.

Wat een rare zaak, mijn schoonmoeder heeft ruim 8 maanden op de camping gewoond en wilde graag afsluiten met de familie in het Bos Restaurant. Ze kon niet komen eten want 12 personen was te veel. Toen we vroegen wat de reden was kregen we nog een grote ook. Echt heel professioneel. Altijd mooi gastvrijheid 🤪

Beautiful terrace with warm weather, delicious fresh water and delicious food!

It's been 2 years now. I find the owner very customer and child unfriendly. Surly man! Been several times but an order could not be made, such as iced coffee in the summer. It was on the menu, but the answer was, you can't order that, it's too busy. It seemed more like the gentleman didn't feel like it. Although we are not very demanding, it was also very child-unfriendly at the time. We made reservations for a dinner with the family and grandparents for my son's birthday. Unfortunately it was raining that day so playing outside was not an option, my son was not allowed to play inside unless he did not make a mess or tidy everything up neatly. In addition, this man felt free enough to unfairly address my children for being too "noisy." In my opinion, nothing special and just the sound of children playing. Dear sir, he does not do this in a neat and friendly manner. Children also felt very uncomfortable with him. As far as we are concerned, 1 star is still too much regarding hospitality. The positive thing is that it is a beautifully landscaped terrace with fun playtime, if you can and are allowed to play there!

We hebben op 28 juli 2024 dit restaurant bezocht en daar mogen genieten van de rijkelijk gevulde salade Visschotel. We waren zonder uitzondering alle vier verrast over wat de kok ons voorzette. Chapeau ook voor het bedienend personeel en de ambiance. We komen graag terug.

Na de crematie van onze moeder hadden we geen zin in de 'droge cake' van de Dela. We hebben daarom een soort koffie/borreltafel gereserveerd bij het Boscafe Molenvelden. De dienst was pas om 17.00 uur en daarna zijn we met ongeveer 25 personen naar Molenvelden gegaan. We werden vriendelijk ontvangen. Eerst kregen we allemaal wat te drinken en toen kwamen de.......borrelhapjes. Allemaal vers gemaakt, veel keuze, werdt geregeld aangevuld. Ondanks het verlies van een familielid, hebben we toch genoten van het afscheid op deze manier. Geen sombere sfeer, stiekem was het zelfs gezellig. Nooit meer de Dela-koffietafel. Wij zullen hier vaker komen, niet alleen voor een verlies, maar ook om gewoon een keer om op het mooie terras te gaan zitten.

Clean, good service and good food for a good price

Cozy restaurant with friendly staff. We were helped quickly and were regularly asked if everything was to our liking. Bread board beforehand was tasty (good bread), chicken satay tasted excellent and the desserts were also excellent. Highly recommended to eat here.

We made a reservation for the mother's day brunch via e-mail. We received the response that our reservation was made but when we arrived, we were told that they didn't have our reservation. We had to spend some time to prove that it was their mistake and only then they apologized but still refused to arrange an outdoor table for us. Because of their mistake, we had to spend most of the afternoon indoors. Only after other customers left, we could sit outdoors. Pity for a beautiful sunny day. Food and service was ok.

On Saturday I was there for the first time and last time. The main woman waitress and old lady waitresses helper are one of the rudest persons I saw in horeca here.

Great place to stop during a walk, nice staff, a bit inexperienced, but I was like that once too, so no problem, had tasty snacks.

Best spareribs ever! ❤ But the food is also great otherwise, highly recommended! The restaurant is stylish and yet rustic, the terrace is wonderful, the surroundings are simply wonderful! And in a good mood Staff will make you want to come back! 💕

Nice big place with both indoor and outdoor seating... we had pulled pork foccacio and chicken sandwich...both are very delicious....especially the bread is so fresh...they have a nice menu for kids as well with gluten free options..the waitress was very kind and brought our kid some toys..there is also a big outdoor play area for kids...Will definitely go back to this place with kids during sunny days

A cozy cafe consisting of 2 rooms where you can have a drink or eat with friends or family. The dog is also allowed. You can enjoy walking with the dog in the area.

Had a delicious meal recently! Hospitably received by Maike and served well throughout the evening. The chef has prepared all dishes more than well. We would love to come back again! The forest cafe also looks very nice and cozy. Nice seats and nice atmosphere.
