Brasserie BLVD in Middengebied

Great restaurant with just about the most beautiful view of Vlissingen and attentive and friendly service.

We passed by the brasserie on our bike tour and, drawn by the beautiful sea view, decided to have lunch there. Lunch was delicious, except for the fries, which could have been a bit crispier. Otherwise, everything was fine. 👍

Fast service, tasty snacks & drinks (non-alcoholic) at reasonable prices.

Food meh. But above all, what grumpy service! You could tell they'd lost interest after a hot day. They practically hurled the food onto the table. I asked for the bill, and after paying, they couldn't even manage a "thanks and have a nice evening." A shame; it's a beautiful location, and as a resident of Vlissingen—the one you have to rely on after the season—I won't be coming back here anytime soon.

We had a delicious meal! We chose the watermelon/feta salad (vegan option also available) and the crispy tofu with pineapple and cashews. They were generously filled and the flavors were spot on. We also received freshly baked bread with salted butter. Friendly service and a beautiful view over the water.

A feast for the eyes, the taste buds, and the soul. We received a very warm welcome. Our reservation was duly noted and confirmed. We enjoyed delicious, fresh, and generously portioned dishes, served promptly. The staff were attentive yet unobtrusive. We highly recommend this establishment. The sea view is an added bonus. Sitting on the terrace with a beautiful view of the boulevard, beach, and Western Scheldt, where you can clearly see the piloting of the nearby seagoing vessels, while enjoying a latte macchiato with a generous slice of apple pie with whipped cream! That is pure bliss.

We arrived here with four people just before five-thirty, asking if we could have coffee inside. There were about 10 tables free. This wasn't possible because everything was reserved from five-thirty. I pointed out that it was still a few minutes away and that not everyone would be there exactly at five-thirty, but it still wasn't possible. So we went a little further down the road, and there was space there. When we had finished our coffee at the other place an hour later and were walking back, we took a quick look inside to see how full it was now; there were still 4 or 5 empty tables. Well, if you had said, "We are actually full, but you can have coffee here until the guests arrive," we would have stayed. And yes, you offered us an alternative to sit outside, but we declined because of the wind.

Nice, warm welcome, prompt service, and slightly more original dishes on the menu than average. Not all dishes were equally successful, but the quality was generally good. A great spot for a pleasant lunch.

Very bad service. Sit for an hour, didn't recieve a menu. Meanwhile they visited the tables next to us, we had drinks only and they visited the tables next to us while our glasses were empty.

The sea bass fillet was delicious! The view of the sea is magnificent, with boats passing by. The restaurant is located right on the beach, ideal for a stroll.

The location is beautiful, but if you sit inside you cannot fully enjoy the view. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food is tasty, so it is not a tourist trap.

Superb place, tasty food, decent service (we weren't there during peak season). Vegetarian and vegan options 🌱 were very good! My portion was generous, but the major drawback: the price!! €25.50 for a plate with 3/4 of an ear of corn 🌽 and half a sweet potato is incredibly expensive! I recommend the Epicuro red wine from Puglia, which is very good. But again, €6.90 for a glass of wine! I recommend it for the setting and the view, but much less so if you're on a budget 😉

In Vlissingen, I absolutely had to try this brasserie; it's one of the highest-rated spots in town. And I can see why. The menu is classic brasserie fare, but really well-executed and varied. The restaurant itself is lovely, with a direct view of the sea, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. You immediately feel comfortable and well taken care of. The food was freshly prepared, visually stunning, and absolutely delicious. This is exactly what you imagine a perfect restaurant experience to be. I also found the price-performance ratio to be perfectly fair. A very cool, solid place with really good food. I would definitely come back.

Very unfriendly service by a stocky blonde lady with glasses. When we pointed out that there was little fish on the menu, she threw the cutlery on the table and didn't even give us a glance; very unprofessional, especially when it concerns the owner.

We ate fish, it was very good and with some original recipes. Well oriented and good wines suggestions. Desserts also amazing. In front of the sea and not in the hotel-buildings area.

What a lovely place to eat delicious and affordable food. The fish of the week, a good piece of halibut, was buttery soft and served fresh with an entreboisse. An excellent combination. Add to that the knowledgeable and cheerful service and the magnificent view, and you have a wonderful experience. Definitely a place to come back to!

Delicious breakfast for around €13 per person, including drinks. Sea view and a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant is worth a visit.

Dogs are welcome. Very nice ambiance, very good food. The cheese platter would be better with Dutch cheese, in my opinion.

From arrival to departure, we felt genuinely welcome here. The food was sublime and meticulously prepared. A nice extra was the side table at the tables for two, which provided just that little bit of extra comfort. With the beautiful sea view and excellent service during the meal, nothing is truly lacking here.

We had a very delicious meal yesterday afternoon with our 2 small children; the dishes were well-prepared, fresh, and beautifully presented. Excellent value for money. What a delicious salad served with the meal! Worth mentioning: high-quality children's dishes with the right portions (everything was finished), simple plates that children can easily eat from, equipped with underplates to prevent spills; really well thought out! Service was good and very friendly. One minor point: upon leaving the restaurant: no thank you or goodbye, even though there was plenty of staff present who were chatting amongst themselves.

It's a shame the municipality has changed all paid parking spaces, including those for wheelchair users, to permit-only. Parking is now a 10-minute walk away.

We were lucky to get a table at short notice. The whole team is very friendly and dogs are welcome. The food was really good. We had soup, a main course, and dessert. Excellent value for money. We'd love to come back again. Keep up the good work!

Nice little restaurant. I had the steak, and it was cooked perfectly. The portion was definitely sufficient. The price/quality ratio is good.

Great food, good acoustics, beautiful view. Of course it's a beautiful place, but the most important thing is the food. We had the fish of the day and duck. Both dishes were beautiful and flavorful. Then we had two wonderful desserts. So the food was absolutely delicious. The acoustics are also excellent for people with hearing loss. You can hear each other clearly.

Beautiful views of the beach, water, and large ships. Friendly staff serves delicious food. We'd gladly return.

Niet alleen verrast door het eten en het zicht, maar nog meer van de bediening. Nets was teveel, vriendelijkheid on top en meedenkend met de klant , zelf op een drukke dag. Kan alleen maar zeggen, ga er naar toe en beleef het, het is meer dan een aanrader, toppie! Hier kunnen nog veel Horeca zaken van leren, dit is een voorbeeld hoe je een zaak runt.

Heerlijk gegeten. De vis was heerlijk en goed bereid en keurig opgemaakt. Vriendelijke bediening. Alleen voor mosselen moet je niet bij Blvd zijn, want die staan niet op de kaart.

Fish soup can mean something completely different depending on the country and location. Here, it's several large pieces of perfectly filleted sea fish and shrimp in a thick broth with potatoes and bread on the side. I recommend it.

It's wonderful to sit here on the terrace, sheltered from the wind and with a panoramic view of Vlissingen and even Breskens on the other side. Ideally located, a bit removed from the hustle and bustle of Vlissingen.
