Had a delicious lunch in a special and atmospheric place.

Sent away in a semi-panic attack because we're NOT supposed to walk in ourselves and we're NOT supposed to sit down anywhere, while we're stared at sheepishly at the entrance without even a single hello, welcome, or anything else. What a level. Instantly reversed.

Super cute winter cottage on the terrace where we had such a cozy and delicious meal. We're totally fans!

I was there on a Sunday afternoon/evening and had a spot outside (next time I'd prefer an open spot, as it was a bit of a hidden corner in my opinion 🤣). Service is partly via a device on your table where you can check service and your bill. I ordered a Bosburger Classic without bacon, as I had someone with me who can't eat pork, and two Espetada Chicken burgers. The Bosburger arrived with a small blemish, so it had to be returned. The waiter told me it was a new burger and that they hadn't removed it from the "old" burger. 😊 The quality of the food was generally okay. The Berk is also nicely located near the water of the Bemmelenberg.

I've been here for lunch and dinner now, and both times the food was delicious. The restaurant has a charming atmosphere and the surroundings are beautiful. The service is excellent. In short, I'll definitely be back.

Great location, great service and large portions of food

Thanks to the team at De Berk for making my partner's birthday celebration unforgettable. A very nice gift from the house upon arrival and a delicious meal in a lovely atmosphere.

Cozy restaurant, please book in advance

We had a delicious meal this evening, and everything went smoothly. Drinks were on time, food was on time, and we were asked if everything was okay at the right time. I have to admit, I've had a different experience at De Berk before, but this time everything was fine. One small issue: the soup was served without a spoon, which we had to get ourselves. But the quality of the soup was so good that we quickly forgot about it.

Booked with family for Christmas Day, but got a spot in an outdoor conservatory in the cold. Only when we arrived were a few heaters turned on. Far too cold, especially for my in-laws, so we decided to leave, as having to wear winter coats and eat with freezing feet is not ideal. Unfortunately, the arrangements were terribly poor.

We've been coming here for several years. It's always had a great atmosphere. But the food quality has really improved recently. We love coming here!

After years of perfect food, I chose fish and chips this time. The fish was overcooked. The calimaris were tough. The lettuce underneath was soggy and lukewarm. It's a shame that this time was a less than perfect experience. Come on, it can be better, you've proven that. This is meant positively and don't be discouraged, but do something about it.

The two of us enjoyed a lovely dinner at De Berk. Once we were shown to our table, we sat for over 20 minutes before anyone came to take our drinks order. Drinks arrived quickly, but we were right on the edge of the entrance. The service was friendly, but everything was expensive and took a very long time. Once we received our appetizer, they arrived a few seconds later with our main course, which they then took back to the kitchen. There was a large group eating there who were a bit noisy, and a table next to us got into a fight with them. The food was fine, but the service was terrible. We won't be going back.

They just opened at 12 o'clock and they don't even have a spot, while you've been calling all morning to make a reservation and they don't answer, disrespectful behavior!

We booked an overnight stay in Tholen, but unfortunately, no restaurant was open. After some trial and error, we ended up here. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff is friendly, and they do everything they can to make our stay enjoyable. During our visit, they had a wild menu with very reasonable prices. They also have an extensive wine list that can be ordered by the glass. The atmosphere is very cozy with various seating areas and cozy corners. Highly recommended.

Beautiful location in the woods, near a man-made waterway! Lovely outdoor terrace in the summer! The menu is extensive, for both lunch and dinner. Nice atmosphere inside, though very dark and crowded. Staff isn't always Dutch and can sometimes be a bit haughty. The food is excellent; I prefer lunch to dinner. In short, it's worth it, and the surrounding area, the Brabantse Wal, is also worth a visit.

Mediocre rating due to poor, uninviting seating. Keep your coat on because of the cold. The table wasn't cleared. We wanted to order something from the kitchen later, but unfortunately, the kitchen closes at 9:30. We weren't told that. I won't be returning.

Perfect ambiance. Great view. Walk, wander, explore. Then eat your meal and sip your coffee thanks to the super-fast waiters. Everyone is happy with their own company.

A bit messy, with many sections combined. The restroom is too narrow for a wheelchair and dirty when we were there. The food is good. Plenty of room to walk around. The doors do create a cold draft when opened. A shame.

We went there three weeks ago. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to notice us because there were plenty of staff walking by. We had a drink and then wanted to pay, which took another 10 minutes before anyone finally took the time to pay after repeatedly approaching someone. I actually wanted to just leave, but I don't want to be punished by them. It's a shame because it's a beautiful location with a lovely atmosphere, but this will definitely keep us from coming back.

The food from my fellow diners was delicious! I tried the tender, seasoned chicken skewers with tasty vegetables and a delicious sauce, and a wonderful vegetarian pasta dish from a clay oven. The fish and chips were disappointingly overcooked and therefore dry and hard, but that happens sometimes, hence the three stars.

Spacious tables in a lovely setting. You can dine outside on the (covered) terrace or inside. The staff is friendly. We had a delicious meal here, and the prices are reasonable. The lighting is dim in the evening, so choosing a dessert from the menu required some eye strain. Be sure to make a reservation.

The owner is incredibly arrogant. Thanks to him, dogs are no longer allowed to swim in the lake. It was the only place in the area where you could cool off with your dog in the mornings or evenings. Thanks, asshole!

Despite the enormous summer crowds, we were quickly offered a good spot. The food was delicious, and the service was extremely friendly. One suggestion would be to perhaps increase the number of restrooms. The two ladies' restrooms aren't really adequate given the number of visitors. But it remains a top-notch location.

This is a really lovely brasserie! It does get busy, so seating isn't always guaranteed. It's beautifully situated in a wooded area near water and sand drifts. The food is delicious, and the service is friendly and helpful. The ambiance is excellent, as is the location.

A beautifully decorated restaurant with relatively young staff. They are all very friendly but don't really follow the usual restaurant etiquette. Nevertheless, they are well-staffed, so there are no long waits. And that's often different these days. The food was beautifully presented, and the chefs certainly put in a lot of effort to create something beautiful. The grilled vegetables that came with it were a real surprise and very tasty. I had a sirloin steak, which was reasonable. The pepper sauce was quite sweet. My wife had the Burgundian chicken, which was very nicely seasoned. For dessert, I had crème brûlée, which I found disappointing. The crust wasn't very crispy and had been burnt earlier in the day. The custard also tasted more like pudding and lacked the distinctive vanilla flavor. All in all, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit, and I will definitely return. A well-deserved 4 stars. The bill was also very reasonable by Dutch standards.

Wonderful, this is my second time here. Tasty snacks to share, but also regular dishes. Friendly staff, good food, and a lovely view. The interior is beautifully decorated! But we had a covered table outside, which was also great. I would definitely recommend this place!

This brasserie is located in a beautiful spot. De Berk is stunning and has several seating areas. Inside, it's spacious and clean, and the terraces and seating areas are wonderful to relax in. You'll feel like you're in a completely different place. The staff is well-groomed and very friendly. There's also plenty to do for children and toddlers outside by the water. It's a truly wonderful place to spend a day with your wife or family.

Haven't encountered any negatives at Brasserie De Berk yet. Top location, delicious food, a super cozy terrace, and extremely friendly staff. The mocktails are a favorite of ours! We ordered some snacks, and they also met our expectations: generous portions, beautiful presentation, and delicious food. You can sit inside, on a covered terrace, or under a parasol. There's a terrace near the beach for takeaway drinks. Kids can play in the sand or splash around in the water. There's something for everyone. We always found a spot without a reservation, but if you're coming with a larger group or for dinner, I think making a reservation is recommended.

On our way back from Belgium, we spontaneously stumbled upon this place. What lovely people work here! The decor is luxurious yet inviting; we sat half-outside in the lovely sunshine. We received prompt, friendly, and professional service. Both the generous portions and the suggested Italian wine were spot on. We were told there's something fun to do here in the winter with a house and a fire? We'll have to look into that! Thanks, and see you next time!

Excellent service, good food, and a great atmosphere. The short ribs were cooked sous vide in gravy, which unfortunately wasn't on the menu. Otherwise, very satisfied.
