Brasserie Deli by Shell in Hank

For a place that pretends to offer a lot of culinary value, the service was exceptionally poor. We repeatedly mentioned our plant-based diet, but were ignored, and when we suggested the (overpriced) flammkuchen without cheese, they simply added crème fraîche. No apology was offered, only a grumpy request to "just make a new one." By then, we were feeling aggrieved by the staff's attitude and didn't want to delay the group we were dining with. So, we scraped it off the flammkuchen as best we could to avoid stomach cramps (as we're lactose intolerant). Incidentally, the place was completely empty except for our group, so the lack of service wasn't due to the crowds.

I've been there several times now, and they really have the most delicious pastries. I definitely recommend the Pecan Caramel Cake!
