We had a pleasant and delicious meal..

Had high tea here. The staff was young but very friendly and polite. The terrace is a nice place to sit. The high tea food was tasty, but not truly high tea. It was more like a bunch of small lunch dishes, with very few sweets. We also got tea from Lidl (Lord Nelson), while other guests got tea from cans; this feels rather cheap, especially for a high tea where you go for delicious tea and snacks. In other words: it's fine to come back for lunch, but I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for a proper high tea.

We settled into this brasserie, which looked cozy and was usually closed on Mondays when we arrived, so now it was. The first contact was super friendly!! We first wanted to look at the menu/menu... The order was taken, we went for a coke, a beer, and two sets of the daily paella 🥘, it didn't take long to get our food and it was special 😉, not the paella we know from the Spaniard, but still, delicious 😉!! Two cappuccinos to finish and they were really good 👍👍 The girl serving was also really friendly, just like we suspected "the owner", the price-quality ratio was good! And the location and the place are quite cozy!

We ended up at Brasserie Eglise through a social deal. Delicious soup and a selection of sandwiches. The sandwiches were well-filled. The service was good!

I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience here was unacceptable. My husband had to send his meal back twice because it was served cold both times. What made it worse was the manager's (Owner) behavior - rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. Rather than apologizing they acted as if I was the problem. I left feeling disrespected. So I definitely won't be returning to a place that doesn't respect customer service.

My hot chicken dish was served cold twice. When we pointed this out, the owner spoke to me very rudely. It's a shame that guests are treated this way; we expected at least a decent response. We won't be back.

We had coffee and cappuccino together while visiting family in Roermond. It was excellent, and the service was quick and friendly. It's a pleasant place to sit, with a nice atmosphere under the arch. The interior is beautifully decorated.

Very nice café! I had an açaí bowl for breakfast. It wasn't the typical preparation, but it was delicious with yogurt and açai berries.

New favorite spot for a delicious cappuccino or a delightful daily special! The selection changes weekly and is always delicious. The daily special is €9.50, and you can check the weekly schedule on the website to choose your favorite. No fast-food chain can match it in terms of price and quality. Another bonus: with the savings card for coffee or a daily special, you can save up for a free cappuccino and a daily special. There's a cozy terrace right next to the beautiful Munsterkerk, and plenty of people are buzzing with activity, perfect for enjoying a drink in the sunshine. An atmospheric restaurant where you can go for a delicious lunch or just a drink with or without cake. Very friendly staff. Not too expensive and delicious food.

Unfortunately not such a great experience. I wanted a tuna sandwich and asked both the waiter and the owner (?) if it came on a hard roll. Both confirmed this. Eventually after half an hour (!) it arrived, on 2 slices of bread. I asked the waiter if they could come and take (another round of) drinks when the sandwiches were served. Eventually I was busy with the last bite and they came to ask what we wanted to drink. It was not very busy at the time of our visit, a table or 7 were full of mainly people who came to drink coffee. In short; very disappointing here, we will go somewhere else next time. The food was tasty but everything around it is just a shame.

We were there during the experience next. It was busy, but the terrace was not full. A sweet and nice young girl took the order. We got the drinks, a little later the soup and an hour later the food. I had a vegetarian sandwich. However, it had chiorizo ​​on it, so when I reported it, I would get a new sandwich. No problem, it can happen. I quickly got the sandwich back. As it turned out, they had taken the sausage off, there were still pieces on it... but they brought it inside, together with the girl who served and who almost burst into tears. The boss responded sharply, the girl was now crying, and the boss indicated that the new sandwich was coming, but that took a long time, and I went inside to say that I didn't need it anymore because I had to go to work. The boss said, it's ready anyway... I said we've been waiting for more than an hour anyway. I want to pay...he responded angrily and deducted 4 euros from the bill, so I paid 14 euros for a spa and a small but tasty soup.....still a lot, but also a bad solution. Such a shame. The restaurant was recommended to us by regular customers....never again for us...

Very cozy and atmospheric brasserie.

We are in Roermond very often and are always very satisfied and happy with the quality of the gastronomy and the nice service on site. This was our first time in this brasserie and unfortunately also the last time. We ordered the “Smashed Avocado Sandwich,” which according to the menu had a poached egg, arugula, cherry tomatoes and basil. When ordering it was pointed out that there was no poached egg, scrambled eggs instead. Okay, that's not understandable, but so be it. But what came next was a slice of bread spread with a very thin layer of guacamole, which was only found after a pile of arugula had been pushed aside. The scrambled eggs were dry and crumbly, probably made from ready-made eggs. And instead of basil, there was large-leaf parsley on top. I tried a bite but let the plate go back. A little later the owner, managing director (?) came and asked what was wrong. I explained it to him...reaction: he turned around in silence and left. If he didn't understand me, I could have said everything in English - but I didn't have that chance. It's a shame, the map looked promising, the decor was nice, but it was a very disappointing experience.

You can sit out of the wind on the terrace. Especially when there is spring sunshine, it is immediately delicious! We also had lunch. Bread with smashed avocado, smoked salmon, etc. Unfortunately, there was no avocado to be seen, but green puree that does not taste like avocado and is not greasy/creamy at all. The tip was that it would really be better with avocado, but "they always use this as avocado". I therefore advise avocado lovers to go elsewhere!

After 45 minutes we asked where our soup and sandwich was, and it came quite quickly. Unfortunately, the soup was tasteless, the pulled chicken sandwich was cold (supposed to be warm according to the menu) and I got frozen carpaccio on my sandwich. Service slow, empty glasses for 20 minutes and no one comes to ask if we want anything else.

Update on the review below. After the good experience last time, this time it was sad. Yacht Salad with salmon and scampi. Butterflies of smoked salmon and 3 scampi and the rest was lettuce. Completely out of proportion. For 18.50 this is just outrageous! Very decent lunch and friendly service. The only downside is the cramped tables. We will definitely come back.

A small Dutch insider bistro. We were in Roermond and wanted to eat something away from the hustle and bustle and found this small cozy bistro. The map was clear, but there was some talking. Local people around us. Uncomfortable and the staff very friendly. It's worth remembering.

Unfortunately a bad experience, very bad meat and nasty treatment by the owner. the steak tips were so tough that we couldn't even cut them with a knife or chew them. We were 3 people and all three left the meat. We didn't send it back to the kitchen because hey, what can you expect from a 10 euro meal of the day. We then told the waitress who, after a visit to the kitchen, indicated that our pieces of meat were a bit sinewy... Okay, that can happen. The 'boss' was very absent and anxiously stayed away from our table, despite our request to come over. When paying we asked the boss if he had heard that our food was inedible and the only response he had was 'that he was not going to discuss it' and 'that no one had complained yet today'. This response really surprised and baffled us, we are not interested in getting anything back, but he could have shown a polite customer-oriented response and some empathy that you are not supposed to serve steak, which is NOT edible. Unfortunately, no photo was taken of the 3 plates with a total of 12 partially chewed and replaced pieces of meat. Very disappointing and especially the atmosphere afterwards was very grim. We will never come here again.

I regularly come there, especially in the summer, for a cup of coffee on the terrace and occasionally for a bite to eat. The staff is always super nice. The boss, who always seems to be under high tension, can be very happy with this. Twice I have experienced staff being scolded in the middle of the store, which greatly affected the atmosphere. I also notice that there is always a lady sitting at a table opposite the bar who seems to be keeping an eye on things, which also gives an uncomfortable feeling. The food is tasty, but sparse. Furthermore, the place is cozy, but very noisy. M.n. a device used behind the bar for coffee or orange juice regularly causes the conversation at the table to come to a standstill. All in all...great place for a cup of coffee on the terrace and compliments to the staff.

The server really didn't want to seat us, take our order, or even take our money. It made things annoying the whole time. As for the food, I don't recommend the Caesar sandwiches. The burger was good and well presented.

Delicious onion soup, but the burger was not our thing, no juicy tender meat but a hard thick compact slice of meat. Too bad, service is a bit messy

My Plat du Jour was very good, perfectly cooked meat with a good portion of fries and a decent salad, great value too! My partner's club sandwich was also good, but the top slice of bread was very dry - no spread or anything on it. And a bit pricey for a sandwich! Overall very good and would certainly return!

After having lunch at Brasserie Église in Roermond several times to our complete satisfaction, I ordered a 4-course Christmas dinner this year. It was delivered promptly, well packaged with clear heating instructions. The food was of good quality for a good price. You were really taken care of: no lengthy shopping lists and preparation time. Highly recommended.

Tonight we enjoyed the Christmas menu ordered at l'Eglise. It was a delicious dinner and the price/quality was very good! Worth repeating!!

Waited almost fifteen minutes before they came to ask what we wanted to drink. Had Social Deal for a high tea, glass of tomato soup after another fifteen minutes of waiting, after another long time the waitress came by to take a break, but she first had to arrange for the next course to be brought. The food was certainly not bad, but the owner is far from customer friendly.

The food is homemade and good, the atmosphere was cold and unpleasant... no one asked if everything was okay or if anything was needed.

High Tea, reserved 2 weeks in advance for 4 people. Possibly not until 1:30 PM. Fine. We arrive at 1:20 PM and the brasserie is empty; why couldn't the reservation be made earlier? Waited half an hour with just a pot of tea before a soup was served. The tea was simple cheap tea bags. We were in the cold. There was only 1 heater in the entire brasserie, aimed at the corridor, where no one was. We turned this towards us. This was reversed by the manager. After the soup we waited another 30 minutes until we got the platter of snacks. The food was well made and really tasty! It was very cold inside and after an hour we asked the employee if the heating could be turned towards our side, who immediately turned it towards us. My mother was so cold after being in the cold for 2 hours that she stood in front of the heating with her back for a moment, then the manager came and turned the heating the other way again without saying anything. Very customer unfriendly. There were no other customers. Unfortunately, we did not receive the promised glass of orange juice. Good food, but we won't be back.

Bought a social deal for lunch. Delicious goulash soup and a salmon and pulled chicken sandwich. The food was delicious. The service is friendly. And the knives were so blunt that it was impossible to get through the sandwich. Shame.

The catunambu coffee with appropriate surroundings (homemade brownies and whipped cream with liqueur are the end 👌🏻DELICIOUS! Furthermore, the sandwiches are of exceptionally good quality and are served in a beautiful way. Very friendly staff and the owner explains with passion how he makes his choices for the range offered. An absolute must if you are in the city!

Asked 3 times for a bowl of water for the dog that had just walked 8 km, but I was told the bowl had been lost. Another container was not an option. Staff wanted to arrange another container, but their boss did not allow it. It's clear that I will never come back here again... very bad and animal unfriendly 🤮

Reserved at Eglise via Social Deal. Extensive choice of soups and sandwiches. We chose the tomato soup, onion soup, pulled chicken sandwich and bclt. Delicious food and large portions. The only downside was that the drinks took quite a long time and were not cold. If they had been served faster we would have had a second drink.

Booked a 2-course lunch via Social deal (€9'95 instead of €13.50), unfortunately this does not include drinks, and I think 2.85 for ~300ml of water is a bit pricey. Choice of soup as a starter and a lot of choice as a main course, personally chose the tomato soup which was tasty and creamy, the baguette that you get with it was nice and crispy and soft on the inside. Main course opted for the "pulled chicken" tasty sauce and crusty bread, but unfortunately the chicken was on the dry side, still I would say that this is definitely worth the price (both the discount and normal price), partly because the staff was very nice and the toilet is also cleaned well. Would definitely come back here again!

We wanted to have a nice drink and that was also possible according to the young lady, but then suddenly the tall man (boss) came around the corner and the employee let us know that we had to leave because they would close in 30 minutes... very strange!

Are you thinking of having a nice cup of coffee and tea at Brasserie Église, but we certainly won't do that anymore. You are not allowed to drink anything there on Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., because they want to keep the tables free for eating 👎🏻 So drink it quickly and get out. We went to Munsterhof where we enjoyed 2 delicious cups of coffee 🥰

A cozy place to have a drink or something to eat. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Chocolate milk tasted a lot like coffee, minus point. The food was of good quality, the Eglise special is recommended, large portion of a self-chosen soup and sandwich, opted for the tomato soup, which tasted good but in my opinion too much parsley, it dominated. Twijfel tussen 3 en 4 sterren. High tea was prima, maar erg jammer dat je iets van een quiche verwacht en je krijgt een simpele picolini en ipv appeltaart een droge donut. Verse jus d Orange is deels vers met aangevuld uit een pak, is erg jammer.

What a great view while you’re enjoying your cake, best seat ever. The ambiance inside and outside is worth the stop. Then you can truly enjoy the best of the scenery. You can’t visit this place without tasting this cake.

The manager was very kind and eager to help me find a vegan option. I didn’t have a lot of time and the bowl was ready within minutes. Ate it instantly, so no picture, but it also looked very tasty! All in all the perfect vegan bowl to me. Everything fresh and a nice teriyaki sauce. It’s normally hard to find some nice vegan food without a lot of sauce and fat in it. Would recommend to my fellow vegan friends. The place also looks very nice!

Leuke brasserie in hartje Roermond. Leuke sfeer, uitgebreide kaart en vriendelijke bediening. Uiteraard ook genoten van onze lunchdeal bestaande uit een soep en broodje naar keuze.

Ontbijt via SocialDeal was prima en uitgebreid. Wel jammer dat alles op 1 bord gebracht werd en de jus niet vers was. Wij waren op dat moment 1 van de weinige klanten in de zaak. Eigenaar (?) was aan 1 van tafeltjes via laptop filmpjes aan het kijken met geluid storend hard aan. Bij afrekenen geen aandacht voor ons. Totaal ongeïnteresseerd, jammer. Locatie is wel leuk, zo direct naast een prachtige kerk!

Stuk vlees in soep taai. De pulled chicken was lekker, maar véél rucola. Geen lepeltje bij de koffie.

Limburgse gastvrijheid komt je tegemoet bij binnenkomst. Heerlijke lunch.
