La Terasse is a cozy restaurant. We had a nice seat by the window. The service was extremely friendly and helpful.

Service unfriendly and stiff. Most employees did not speak Dutch. The food was excellent.

Delicious food! Excellent service, beautiful dishes, nice wines. The children are also taken into account. Recommended!

Dit is het "tweede" restaurant in het Huis ter Duin, maar nog steeds top of the the crop. Goed en competent personeel, goede wijnlijst(zij het glas of fles) en een uitgewogen menukaart, die geen wensen open laat. Reservering is aanbevolen, ook met het oog van vele conferenties en gasten hierbij, die het Huis ter Duin bezoeken. Dit is ook de enige licht critische opmerking. Als er meerdere grote tafels met meerdere gasten zijn, loopt het geluid een beetje te veel op, naar mijn smaak en gezien de qualiteit van het restaurant.

Nice location. It's a shame that we saw 5 different staff members come by our table. This meant they didn't know what we had or had not ordered. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. 1 gentleman/lady would have been nicer. I thought the dinner prices were very high. A tournedos for €44 was really not worth it.

The interior is very nice, friendly staff. However, there is nothing to eat. We just wanted to have main course with meat, but all we could choose was burger. Because other dishes have no meat or for sharing, which we didn’t find nourishing enough. The burgers were tasty. It was a pity to eat a burger at such luxurious place. But the options in the menu are not attractive.

I think it is the most relaxed 5* hotel in the Netherlands, almost anything is possible, super "inclusive" white, black, blue 🏳️‍🌈 everyone is treated kindly and respectfully. The only downside on nice days is that the service on the terrace almost always has problems, but the staff always remains friendly

Mice were running on the restaurant floor, this is the second time it happened in the same restaurant, from only a few visits. It was my birthday and I had a couple of guests, I was embarrassed to tell the waitress, but I’m sure you know about the mice. Never again for sure for me! And about the food, it was good but this sharing concept is really strange, not much to chose from on the a la carte menu. Doesn’t fit five stars hotel restaurant.

We enjoy coming to La Terracce. Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Our daughter really felt like it was her birthday because of all the congratulations and effort from the staff. Thank you very much for this evening

Prachtige locatie en onderdeel van Huis ter Duin. Helaas maakt het restaurant de verwachtingen niet waar. Groente doorgekookt, pasta niet aldente, vis niet op smaak. Bediening doet zijn best net als de muizen die vrolijk door het restaurant rennen.

We enjoyed lunch (fantastic fish salad) and dinner (ditto Tournedos) at La Terrasse. Very friendly service, delicious wines, absolutely TOP!! That was a pleasure to eat at La Terrasse twice in one day yesterday.

C'est un des trois restaurants du grand Hotel Huis Ter Duin. Brasserie chic qui propose une salle intérieure mais aussi une terrasse. Personnel adorable et efficace. Attention à la carte. La première partie comporte les plats classiques (idem room service), la second présente des plats revisités et là il faut faire attention car les quantités sont très très limitées. Les plats sont bons mais ne sont pas exceptionnels non plus. Attention à la note finale si vous prenez entrée, plat et dessert.

Service worthless. My friend orders a glass of wine and while I'm talking the waiter walks away without taking my order. had to wait 1h20 between starter and main course. You would expect more from such a luxurious place, but it is very disappointing. The only good thing about the hotel is the beach bar and that's it. No repeat for us unfortunately.

Der Service war gut und freundlich, und man sitzt wunderbar auf der Terrasse mit Meerblick. Aber die Portionen sind sehr knapp bemessen, man muss praktisch mindestens eine Hauptspeise und zwei Zusatzspeisen bestellen zu sündhaft teuren Preisen. Die Bouillabaise enthielt gar keinen Fisch und hatte wenig Geschmack. Brot dazu musste extra bestellt und bezahlt werden. Das Lachsgericht mit Muscheln enthielt von letzteren gerade mal drei, eine davon auch noch verkrüppelt. Ohnehin war die Karte sehr klein und es gab fast nur Fischgerichte. Ein derartiges "französisches" Konzept passt nicht zu einem Hotel. Am Ende waren wir zu zweit fast 100€ los und hatten nicht einmal Nachtisch, Vorspeise oder Kaffee bestellt. Nicht mein Ding.

Delicious food in a good atmosphere. Spacious, so you don't feel like you're sitting at the table with others. The service makes it complete, they are nice, attentive and everything is possible or they make it possible.

Too expensive for what you get, but the view is excellent

As for me, the food was excellent (as I am used to at BlT). My girlfriend I thought it was less: an average of 4 stars. The table gentleman was charming and personable. However, the three ladies were hopeless. Asked for the non-alcoholic menu I didn't get any drinks at that time anyway the wine list (!!!) and another long wait: finally what I asked for. Paying: it was 20 at the cash register for minutes! Who am I: see Theo Odijk Google Scholar and then press my website; 5 top positions. I hope the service will be improved!!!

Nice welcome with a bubble. We had a beautiful view of the sea (with the setting sun)! After that we seemed to be forgotten several times; no drinks (luckily we had water), waiting before we could order food, waiting for dessert and coffee, waiting for the bill. It made the evening relaxing, but it also felt a bit "unseen". When we were helped, everyone was very nice and hospitable. The food was absolutely delicious and of very good quality. We still had a nice evening!

Arranged a high tea as a surprise for a baby shower. It was really a success. Everything was to your liking. Staff is very professional and friendly. The food is delicious and has a wide choice. Location is very romantic and atmospheric. All in all, we had a great time and will definitely come back again.

Food was great, service was not professional. We received starters and main courses at the same time and the sandwich that we had already ordered as an appetizer arrived 10 minutes later. One part of our order never showed up and, according to our waitress, had gone to a large table elsewhere…. What was served was delicious but the service was below par for a restaurant of this level.

An excellent meal in a very attractive restaurant with a sea view. The employees were professional and very friendly. As always, I enjoyed it when I'm there.

In eleganter Atmosphäre saßen wir sehr gut mit Blick auf die Nordsee. Ein engagierter Service brachte die guten, etwas klein geratenen Gerichte. Mit dem extra Brot für 8,— Euro wurden wir dann beinah satt.

There is now a menu with classics and shared dining dishes. The classics are tasty but on the small side. What is strange about shared dining is that you are expected to share the dish with each other, but the portions then become smaller instead of larger. The soft shell crab, for example, was delicious but quite small even for one person. The white house wine of Chardonnay and Viognier is very good!

The employees of La Terasse are very professional and customer-friendly, the service level is high. We appreciate that we were able to sit quietly and not be looked away. (It's just a pity that the food was served while one of the two guests had gone to the toilet.) We had high tea. Comparing this high tea with the one served a few years ago: sad and certainly not worth the price. The tea is from Betjeman and Barton. Excellent tea. You can't mess that up unless you pay less attention to temperature and "stewing time". By the way, there was still one table occupied. One table. In that huge restaurant.

A pleasant brunch with wife and friends on the terrace, good (simple) food, excellent service with one downside: upon arrival we had specifically asked to reserve a table in the sun for after coffee on the outside terrace, but when we came for lunch it turned out to be The requested table was given and I had to move another table myself to be able to enjoy the sun, that should not happen in a 5 star establishment!

Great location and food is really good, but with a tournedos of 42.50 you can have more than 5 fries because that is really not good. And then dare to charge an extra 7 euros for an extra small container. With a family of three and having to pay 210 euros for that little bit is really not good. Although the food was good.

Huis ter Duin is always a party. Food delicious, service fast and friendly. Everything always falls into place in this classic allure. Except…. the clothing of some employees. Shabby and unkempt. Such a shame if everything is right... everything has to be right. Be a little stricter on personal clothing and shoes 👌

If a main course costs €37, including an additional order of fries, the portion could be slightly larger. Happy to pay, but don't skimp on the portion again. Everything else is excellent and wonderful to stay. See you next year❣️

We waren dit jaar tijdens onze gebruikelijke week in HtD 4x in Breakers meestal met uitgenodigde vrienden en familie. Na wat problemen in de bediening vorig jaar was het nu top. Kwaliteit van eten en bediening overtrof verwachtingen. We komen ook volgend jaar graag terug.

De hight Thea was voortreffelijk, met een glaasje champagne helemaal top.

Brasserie chic au sein de l’hotel 5 étoiles. Plats classiques très corrects. Prix élevés. Service correct mais l’ambiance reste un peu triste.

Positief: het was een geweldige high tea; eten was voortreffelijk. Allemaal heerlijke hapjes in drie gangen. Service van Arthur, Alexandra en een donkere serveerster prima. Negatief: tafel was niet klaar toen we aankwamen en kregen niet het gevoel dat we verwacht werden, terwijl er een dag eerder door La Terrasse nog een reminder van onze reservering was verzonden. Toen het weer leek te betrekken vroegen we een serveerster om de grote, stevige parasol uit te klappen. Zij zei toen: "Nee, dat is teveel werk voor ons. We moeten hem dan aan het eind van de dag ook weer inklappen." Dat vonden we een bijzonder vreemde opmerking voor een locatie als La Terrasse.

Wir haben einen Tisch in dem Restaurant drei Wochen im Voraus reserviert. Als wir ankamen wurden uns zwei Tische zur Auswahl angeboten. Wir haben uns an einen gesetzt. Kurze Zeit später kam die Kellnerin und hat uns in grober Form zurecht gewiesen, dass wir nicht an unserem Tisch (direkt neben der Küche) sitzen, da es für vier und nicht für drei Personen gedeckt wurde und forderte uns auf den Tisch zu wechseln, anstatt ein Gedeckt weg zu nehmen. Zur unserer großen Verwunderung kamen nach uns drei Personen, die an diesen Tisch gesetzt wurden. Die Freundlichkeit der Kellner besserte sich leider nicht. Wir bedauern nicht direkt gegangen zu sein. AUßERDEM: Weißwein war nicht kalt, Austern wurden ohne Besteck serviert, Fisch wurde mit Steakmesser serviert. Preis stimmt leider mit der Leistung nicht überein. Ein Tipp: im Bar nebenan werden die selben Speisen serviert. Diese hat eine schöne und lockere Atmosphäre und netten Service

War zum ersten und zum letzten Mal in diesem Restaurant. Essen mittelmäßig, Preis- Leistung stimmt nicht überein, teurer Weißwein war nicht kalt genug, kein passendes Besteck für die Speisen. Wir bedauern es dort gewesen zu sein.

Wij hadden wat te vieren en dat is goede gelukt. De ontvangst, de plek en het eten waren meer dan fantastisch, de bediening zeer voorkomend en aardig, kortom een top lococatie en aan iedereen aan te bevelen.

Voor een deel ongetrainde staff in de bezorging. Serveert vanaf links uit (ook de wijn), dus steeds voor je langs terwijl er genoeg ruimte wantafel was. Als gasten liepen er muizen door het restaurant. Niet echt een prettig gezicht!

Mooie locatie, veel te dure gin tonic (19,5€), behoorlijke gerechten met stevige prijs. Betaalbare wijnkaart. Erg jonge bediening met veel goede wil maar weinig ervaring.

Heerlijk genoten van heerlijke gerechten, mooie wijn, aangename sfeer, en zeer goede bediening!

Lekker gegeten, vriendelijke bediening - het duurde allemaal alleen wel erg lang (in vergelijking met Breakers, Copper en Latour). Ook een Dame Blanche die niet op de kaart stond werd toch heerlijk gemaakt.

Eten was heerlijk maar de bediening maakt de avond en dat vonden wij nou niet echt horeca mensen… Zij hadden meer wijn kunnen verkopen als ze dat wat beter in de gaten zouden houden. Toetje ging niet helemaal goed ,sweets werd gebracht maar om de koffie moesten we toch exstra vragen

Empfang sehr freundlich und persönlich, Service absolute Spitzenklasse. Wir haben ein vegetarisches 4-Gänge Menü bestellt. Zubereitung, Qualität und Geschmack auf Sterne Niveau. Exzellente Weinberatung. Und ein Kellner, der zwischendurch Klavier spielt😃🎼👍 Ich habe selten ein so hohes Niveau erlebt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Very good service and food was great.

Prima gegeten bij La Terrassen. De bediening was super, we waren er terwijl het Nederlands elftal moest spelen en men vroeg ons of we voor de start van de wedstrijd weg wilden zijn. Maar we wilden uiteraard rustig genieten van het heerlijke eten. Dat is zeker gelukt! Zowel het eten als de bijpassende wijnen waren top!
