If you arrive at 3:35 PM, you won't be able to eat anything anymore, as the kitchen closes at 3:30 PM. We do have bitterballs, which definitely don't come from the kitchen.

Voldeed aan alle verwachtingen. Vriendelijk personeel en het eten (4-gangen) was super. Er zaten verassende elementen in. Met een glutenvrij dieet werd heel goed rekening gehouden. Wij waren er om 18.30u en waren rond 21.30u weg.

Had an extensive lunch here with three people. The food was excellent. We had the dishes 1) tuna salad 2) bread with croquettes and 3) Okonomiyaki (the Japanese omelette). Everything looked well prepared and tasted even better. Had several non-alcoholic drinks and 1 glass of wine. Ended up spending €100, which is quite substantial for a lunch. Downside: Ordered a gingerbeer once. I received this in a glass with way too much ice, the injection was off and it was brought without a bottle. So it most likely came from a liter bottle. The business is centrally located in Waalre, close to the highway. Old village center with an attractive square. It looks chic inside. Guests when we were there ranged from business partners to people who have a little more to spend.

Food was excellent. We had a three-course menu. Unfortunately everything took far too long.

Super tasty food, friendly service and the manager also comes to check if everything is to your liking. Highly recommended for wine lovers because the wine list was like a candy store for us 😉

It took a long time before the menu was delivered and before the food was brought. The taste of the food was good. My husband's portion was way too small (chef's suggestion)

Favorite place for lunch. When the weather is good you can also sit very comfortably on the terrace.

lekker en gezellig gezeten echt een super mooi restaurant met goede sfeer. Alleen onze verwachtingen lagen wat hoger. We stonden bij een 4 gangen diner na 2,5 uur al buiten, 230 euro per stel ( lekker aan de wijn geweest maar dat doen we altijd). Onze verwachtingen? Avondvullend, toelichting bij de wijnen, proactief suggesties van de wijnkeuzes bij het eten en wat uitleg wat er op ons bord lag.

Bij het reserveren 6 pers duidelijk gevragen ofdat we nog na konden borrelen echter om half 11 op een zaterdag kregen we al te horen dat we nog 1 drankje konden bestellen. Bij het afrekenen €600 gevragen ofdat we nog een limoncello van het huis kregen inruil voor €36 fooi dat vond men prima, de jonge dame ging een fles limoncello halen in totaal konden daar 7 borrels uit gehaald worden, nog geen 5 min later kregen we een rekening van €50 ofdat we deze contact wilde betalen want de kassa was al afgesloten. Dat zijn dan dure borrels €36+€50= €86 voor 7 kleine glaasjes limoncello. Het huidige personeel was wel vriendelijk enkel de leidinggevende niet, eten was opzich goed enkel wat te weinig en de frietjes war klein en hard die we ook nog eens moesten delen met zijn twee (kleine bekertje met friet) . Mensen trek je conclusie zelf maar maar voor ons was dit absoluut een no go.

Nice looking place, however overall experience was far from great: 1st waiting time until food is served: Once order was placed, I don't find reasonable to wait 1h to get our sandwiches on the table. 2nd food amount vs. price. For the prices paid for each club/brioche, portions are quite little.

Black tiger prawn and Asian carpaccio, main sea bass and lamb, all dishes were top notch, well prepared and beautifully served (on warm plates!). Service great, the waiter was also a sommelier so extensive advice and a nice chat. A bit on the pricey side, but the combination of food, service and atmosphere meant we had a wonderful evening!

Na een middag vergaderen is het altijd goed even samen een hapje te gaan eten. We waren al vroeg in het restaurant en het was daardoor nog rustig en overzichtelijk. De kaart is niet heel uitgebreid maar wel wel redelijk gevarieerd. Enthousiast wordt er onder aan de kaart aangegeven dat de vegetarische gerechten met een groene ster worden aangeduid… dat was even zoeken, maar we vonden er zo waar een bij de voorgerechten en een bij de hoofdgerechten. We startte met water, wijn en als appetizers zalm en oesters met wat brood. Daarmee was de tafel gezellig gevuld. Nog voordat we klaar waren werden we echter overvallen door het voorgerecht…. Dat werd zonder af te ruimen erbij op tafel gepropt door 2 man sterk tegelijk. De borden van de zalm en met lege oesterschelpen stonden nog op tafel, we hadden geen bestek, maar de soepborden werden gewoon naast alle andere servies uitgestald, met de karaf soep al in de aanslag op in te schenken…. CHAOS. Toen we vroegen of er niet eerst even kon worden afgeruimd werd aanvankelijk ook nog een beetje verontwaardigd gereageerd… gelukkig stapte de eigenaar even in en hielp deze ongemakkelijke overval even te corrigeren…. Het was maar goed dat een van de vegetarische voorgerechten koud was want hiervoor moest toch nog een tijdje op bestek worden gewacht…. De komst van het hoofdgerecht werd netjes met ons afgestemd. Hier wel een briljant hoogtepunt toen we op de vraag… waar komt de rode huiswijn die je schenkt vandaan? als antwoord kregen: gewoon hier uit de kelder….. enfin we hebben de eindstreep van het diner zonder verdere probleempjes behaald en de koffie van het huis maakte wel wat van het ongemak goed. Nog een laatste puntje dan misschien? We hadden een tafel naast een mooi uitgedoste kaasplank… maar voor dat we dat zagen hebben we het eerste uur vooral besteed om uit te zoeken waar die baby met die poepluier zich toch verstopt had…. Dus misschien een tip als de kazen zo mooi worden gepresenteerd in het restaurant, om dan een selectie te maken die minder sterk ruikt….

Excellent dinner, although the sea bass was a bit salty. When asked if we wanted water, we responded warmly with a confirmation. The fact that that beautiful carafe was lukewarm and also cost €5.50 was a bit less. For a restaurant that prides itself on quality - which is right in terms of food - I think this is below par. The beer list, on the other hand, is excellent!

Meester Keeman is a household name in Waalre. There is a nice atmosphere and you can enjoy delicious food at a good price and quality. You can also go there for just a drink if you want. You will always receive a friendly welcome. And luckily you don't have to wait half an hour for your drink. In short, it's worth a visit if you're in the area.

Cozy, nice menu and friendly staff

Found this warm and soothing restaurant in Waalre during one of our bike trips. Without a reservation, we found a good table for Sunday dinner. We liked the dessert and extra fries more than the main dish. Appetizers were decent but small in size. Staff was very helping. Lite background music made our evening comfortable. All in all a pleasant experience.

We hebben met 17 mensen weer uitstekend gegeten. Het menu was prima, goede prijs kwaliteit verhouding, en mooie wijnen er bij. Met allergieën (gluten, schaal en schelpdieren) werd goed rekening gehouden; de schotels werden echt aangepast, niet alleen maar weggehaald waar men allergisch voor was.

Nice to have such a restaurant in the village! After having eaten at Keeman several times, there are 2 small points for improvement: We actually thought the dishes were too small. Have to order bread to have enough as adults (based on before-head-after). Price-quantity so 3 stars. And terribly salty. The latter can sometimes be bad luck, but it has happened a few times now, apparently in the chef's style. Maybe you can do something with this.

Gelegen in het hart van Waalre. Gevestigd in een voormalig schoolgebouw. Mooi gezellig interieur. We hebben er goed gegeten. De gerechten waren goed van smaak. De huiswijn was ook goed. De bediening was vriendelijk maar soms wat te langzaam. We hadden een tweede glas wijn besteld. We hebben er nog een keer om moeten vragen. Ik kreeg ook het idee dat een deel van het personeel weinig ervaring had in de horeca. Het was geen echt bezwaar. Ik denk dat het momenteel moeilijk is om personeel te krijgen. We hebben er toch goed gegeten en genoten van ons diner.

I loved everything about this restaurant. The careful, homemade dishes, the very pleasant waitresses who give us all the explanations in English, the atmosphere and the decoration!

We had a delicious lunch here. Very nice place, very friendly staff and, importantly, delicious food. The only comment was that the tenderloin tips floated a little too much in the sauce, the sauce could be less.

Great service. I had a complaint about my milk-free dish which looked very poor for the quite hefty price: half of the dish was left out. That was solved perfectly in 5 minutes with some specially fried calamari without milk. Thank you!
