New decor, new management, new menu for sharing. All very goos.

Top restaurant, I went there with my father, very nice service, sweet, only the stairs to the toilet and the door are not convenient, but that does not make the evening less pleasant.

Lovely place, great service and delicious food

Good food, small menu with classics. Good price quality. The sofas in the shop look a bit uncomfortable and are not very comfortable. But that doesn't make the food any less tasty. Friendly ladies in the service.

Too bad, goat cheese salad was not tasty, the club sandwich had way too much sauce. Soup in a cup that is too small. Unfortunately no soap in the toilet. Hope things get better soon, it really is possible!

Thanks to Jelle and his team. We enjoyed another great evening. And that was back in the day… Today we ate at the successor to the old Oude Toren: if you dine here, you should now expect to be in a noisy café where decent conversation is almost impossible because there's a lot of drinking going on at the bar. As the evening progresses, it gets increasingly louder. Definitely not worth it anymore. The food is decent, but the atmosphere completely spoils it.

Not the cheapest, and portions are not big

Lovely restaurant and atmosphere! Was recently refurbished I think and the interiors look great, in a quiet location and good for medium sized groups of 4 to 6 people. First restaurant I ever came across that had balkenbrij on the menu and it was delicious! Good selection of dishes and great, personable service from the staff. Will definitely come again!

If there is a new restaurant in your hometown, that is of course a good reason to try it! Booked online and the evening in question was very kindly received by the ladies of the service. Cosy, small restaurant but upon entering it was immediately noticeable that it was very noisy, despite the fact that there were only 3 tables occupied. Perhaps this is due to the lack of curtains? Ordered drinks, quite a few beers to choose from but unfortunately no non-alcoholic drinks except for the standard soft drinks. We had the steak tartare as a starter, personally I mainly tasted the gherkin and capers, this dominated the meat flavour, too bad! The bavette as a main course, it was nicely fried pink and the side dishes & sauce were delicious. But the meat itself had a lot of chamois and pieces of fat, and without a steak knife it is quite difficult to eat. The cheese dessert was okay but it was put down without explanation, that is not right. When asked, no explanation could be given except for mentioning some names. All in all I did not think €150 for 2 people was worth it. Too noisy to have a normal conversation, food was ok but could really improve on several points. Staff very friendly, always a big plus!

Do they have a to good to go against food waste, the restaurant is closed and they can't be reached.... great service

thanks for all the hospitality and good meals. We have never been there without the thought of wanting to come back. Over the past 20 years we have e.g. all round birthdays celebrated with you - first with larger groups but unfortunately increasingly smaller ones. Yesterday the food was nicely prepared and so tasty.

When asked about the course of the proceedings due to the start of the CL match on TV, their own laptop was spontaneously placed at the table so that we could follow the preview/match live!! Enjoyed the chef's 5-course menu! Pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and the beautiful layout. Staff was very friendly. We first sat outside but it got a bit chilly. It was no problem to continue the meal indoors.

This afternoon we enjoyed a luxurious lunch in honor of an uncle's 60th wedding anniversary. (30 people). The food was delicious, but the rest was really nothing to write home about. At the table at 12.30 and only after 1.30 the starter, a minus I would say. Table runner placed on the table straight from the dryer, not really festive, the owner (or at least that's how she pretended to be) not really friendly and had a pretty grumpy face on it. If someone wants to say a word of thanks and I didn't hear it, you get a tap with a reprimanding sound of ssssttt really, that's not done, I really held back and the other guests saw it too. If she does this to all guests, it's not really polite. Order coffee and then be served with water in it and take the cup away and just say nothing. Serve fish on a plate swimming it in water. No, the old tower is not THE restaurant for us to eat. The worst part is that the bill they received was not wrong, but there should be something in return. Sorry but I don't recommend it.

Heerlijk!!! Ivm corona hebben we dit menu afgehaald, zelf thuis opgewarmd, de beschrijving hoe we het moesten doen was leuk en klopte als een bus. Alle gangen waren goed van smaak. Prijs /kwaliteit is goed. Een aanrader.

Eten afgehaald i.v.m Corona.. Echt 'n aanrader! We hebben heerlijk gegeten met duidelijke beschrijving erbij.

Mooi locatie, dat is zeker. Het menu beloofd wat. Mooie ingrediënten, klassieke combinaties. Zou het zo simpel Kunnen zijn? Helaas... lang wachten, overgare kreeft( !!!?) plakkerige pasta, op ieder bord hetzelfde assortiment ‘groentjes’...wijn van ah kwaliteit, dessert met smakeloze biscuit gevuld met vlaachtige substantie...echt jammer. Met een btje liefde voor voedsel gaat het zóveel beter.... maar dat is hier niet het geval.

Na de doorstart is dit sfeervolle restaurant weer snel op het oude niveau waarbij nu ook de bediening daarop is aangesloten. Originele gerechten sieren de kaart, maar het maandmenu mag er zijn. Een verrijking van het al prima aanbod aan restaurants van Waalre en een extra reden om niet meer naar her dure Eindhoven te gaan!
