Dinner was delicious. However, the waitstaff should have asked the people at the table next to us to stop flirting. Or offered them a room. The man practically jumped on this woman. Not very pleasant or sociable.

Not worth repeating; it's more of a lunch spot. The food looks good, but our evening was a flop due to the taste.

The food was delicious. It exceeded expectations, especially considering the price-quality ratio. The service was knowledgeable and helpful. Definitely worth it if you want delicious, high-quality food.

We had a very relaxing and delicious dinner here. We chose the three-course chef's menu and it was a hit! The staff knows what they're doing, and the food is top-notch. I'll definitely be back! (Small tip: get the butter from the fridge before dinner for your bread.)

Service was good. I really expected more from the food. My starter was a cold ceviche but the fish was lukewarm and bland. My daughter had a steak tartare but that was also too hot and not tasty. My daughter's steak was fine! My salad with fish was lukewarm and there was hard plastic in my salad that came from a container where the sauce came from. This dish was removed from the bill by the staff but I was done eating immediately. In short, I was a Vlaar "goer" but the level of dishes at Monsees is a bit lower. The service, on the other hand, is really good.

First time here and we took the chefs menu. The menu was surprising and varied, fine, but the fourth course with a tender veal ribeye was really special. You rarely get such tender and full of flavour, really good! Complete with a red Grenache, a great combination.

Had a very nice, cozy high tea. We celebrated a baby shower together. This was possible in a separate room that we could decorate ourselves. There was a nice atmosphere and the high tea itself was also fine!

Yesterday we were warmly welcomed in the "new" Monsees in 's-Graveland. It took some searching (the old name is still everywhere in and around the building), but we were then treated to delicious food and great service on the beautiful terrace. Also and especially inside everything looked tiptop. Moving from outside to inside was no problem at all and the price-quality ratio is excellent. As far as I'm concerned, absolutely recommended!

Delicious food for a reasonable price with super attentive service. I was initially misled by the name “brasserie” and expected a simple meal of the day. However, a look at the menu showed a select but varied offering. All dishes were deliciously prepared, although the scallops as an entree were a bit on the salty side. No acute renal failure, but that could have been a little less. The atmosphere in the business is very pleasant. Acoustics were OK, but a little more sound deadening material could improve that. Service was really perfect and if I could have given 6 stars I would have.

Nice place, friendly staff and delicious food. We had dinner there last Friday because we were looking for a new location and we really enjoyed it. The decor is cozy (we sat in the bar area) and the staff is very nice and helpful and up for a good time. The food was really delicious and the wines were also very tasty. We will definitely come by again!

The food was really good! We celebrated our 20th Wedding anniversary here and it was really good. The service was lacking could have been a bit more attentive and it was cold inside sitting by the window but the food really was the highlight of the evening. If you want to treat yourself to excellent food it’s definitely a must!

Food was really tasty. Wine also tasty. I thought it took a little too long for the menu to arrive, the starter to arrive and the main course to arrive. But we had a nice evening. The only downside I found was the toilet. Uncomfortable and a toilet seat that sits very crooked.

We were lucky: because a reservation had expired, there was still room on Saturday evening, but it is normally full then. And rightly so! Delicious food, good wine and a great atmosphere.

You don't expect to find such a brasserie in a beer alley, but it is there anyway. I've been before because of the good atmosphere, excellent and beautifully presented plates, but not quite 5 stars because I think the portions are a bit too meager.

We celebrated our annual Christmas dinner with the office at Brasserie Monsees last Friday. From the preliminary discussion to the coffee, everything was well organised, very friendly service, flexible in our wishes and delicious food.

Last night, in celebration of the Brasserie's three-year anniversary, we ate a delicious 6-course dinner. It was, in a word, EXCELLENT…. In our opinion, no other restaurant in the area can compete with that! CHAPEAU!!

Gradually becoming a classic in Hilversum. Together with Heren Spyker, the only high-quality restaurant in the center. In particular, the atmosphere is always very pleasant. Also good for price/quality. Vegetarian option somewhat limited, I think none for main course (?).

Once again we had a fantastic meal at Monsees! Beautiful dishes, beautiful wines! Top chefs, super sweet hostess and fantastic service. Without a doubt, the best restaurant in Hilversum and the surrounding area! Reservations are now necessary ;)

Very good atmosphere, good service and delicious food. Classic dishes with an original approach. Portion size is a bit on the small side, but next time, which will certainly come, we will just have some extra side dishes. The wine list is also very good!

An evening at Monsees is not just about the delicious food, it's about the entire experience. You are really pampered here, which makes every evening here a special evening. It is our favorite restaurant in Hilversum. In the summer on the terrace and otherwise cozy inside. That helps me remember, I have to make reservations for our next visit!

Had a very pleasant evening in Brasserie Monsees. Super enthusiastic and nice service and owner. The food is mostly seasonal and beautifully served. The flavors in my main course (cod of the day) were not sufficiently expressed for my taste. The garlic that should have played a leading role could not really be tasted. The pheasant and deer were better in taste. The figs for dessert were a winner. The wintry Eton Mess was more like chocolate mousse. Delicious chocolate mousse by the way. Good price-quality ratio with top atmosphere and service: we will definitely come back! New find in Hilversum!

Delicious food. Excellent quality products. We had the carpaccio and scallops as for. Venison and tournedos as main course. Not very large portions, but excellent in taste. Only point of criticism: the lady who served us. She didn't really feel like it, it seemed (i.e. grumpy). Maybe the friendliness ran out after 2 Christmases 😁.

Our previous visit on a weekday night here was a good experience and we got several good reviews from friends, but we were very disappointed after our dinner here last Saturday. Our table was the furthest corner of the restaurant, squeezed between the bar (next to the coffee grinder and espresso machine where the barman was loudly slamming the coffee piston every 5 minutes) and the toilets and outside door (that was kept open every time one staff went outside so it was very drafty) which was already far from ideal. Besides that, the wait for our starters and mains was way too long. We arrived at 18.30 and after ordering fairly quickly, our mains didn’t arrive until 20.10pm, probably 45min after finishing our starters. When we asked the staff about it, the only response was that the kitchen was very busy. It’s great that business is good with a full restaurant but why set up a table (that’s already inconveniently located) if you can’t ensure a good dining experience? Such a pity! The restaurant is a nice local brasserie but we won’t come back on a weekend day :(

Weer een perfecte avond hier gehad. Altijd gezellig, goede sfeer, leuke bediening en het eten van begin tot eind heerlijk. Wij komen hier met veel plezier! Ik kan iedereen aanraden om hier te dineren 😍

Super gegeten, bediening en sfeer top, kwaliteit van het eten heerlijk, presentatie erg mooi en porties ruim voldoende. Komen zeker terug.

Het eten was kwa prijs kwaliteit verhouding erg duur. Ook ben ik een kieskeurige eter en heb ik er niet lekker gegeten. De service was erg goed en heel beleefd de sfeer hebben wij vooral zelf gemaakt maar die was dus zeker aanwezig.

Fantastisch feest gehad in Monsees voor mijn verjaardag. Op een vrijdagavond hele restaurant afgehuurd met walking diner voor 80 gasten. Gezellige plek met geweldig eten (heel knap om voor zo veel mensen tegelijk heerlijke gerechten uit de keuken te laten komen). Organisatie vlekkeloos (en heel praktisch dat ze een fatsoenlijke bar hebben) Locatie tussen een P-garage en NS station is voor mensen die van verder komen ideaal.

Eten is hier altijd een feestje!! Een warm welkom en fijne sfeer laten je thuisvoelen nog voordat je goed en wel zit. Eten wordt met liefde en passie bereid én geserveerd. Dat zie je niet alleen terug op je bord, dat proef je des te meer. Waanzinnige gerechten, fijne wijn, sfeervolle inrichting en niet te vergeten een mega gastvrije bediening. Zeker ook aan te raden in de zomer, want ook een zalig terras! Ik ben fan.

I think this will be the only restaurant in the center of Hilversum that I will invite my friends and families to dine in. Every dish is well prepared with good selection of materials, in good taste and reasonable price. Nothing ever went wrong. Hope they will have seasonal specials and innovations to keep regular customers coming back.

Ich mag das Lokal. Entspannt, sehr freundlich und alles super lecker. Es wird auf sehr hohem Niveau gekocht. Ein sechster Stern wäre angemessen.

Essen & Getränke sehr lecker, entspanntes & schönes Ambiente, ausgesprochen freundlicher Service. Einfach perfekt. Prima ist auch dass man die Abendgerichte schon Mittags bekommen kann.

Was back at Monsees after a while, this time for lunch. Again, wonderful. Even though we had ‘only’ a carpaccio sandwich (and a few glasses of wine), the service was outstanding and enthusiastic. Loved the sandwich, the bread so much better than most other places around. Wine selection is also really good. Highly recommended.

Wat zijn wij verwend bij Brasserie Monsees! Super fijne en persoonlijke bediening en al het personeel heeft een lach op het gezicht. Dat geeft een positieve vibe. Het eten was tongstrelend!! Wat hebben wij genoten. Smaakvol, kleurrijk, culinair en ook mooie porties. Koken op hoog niveau! Ik kom snel nog eens terug en zou iedereen aanbevelen om bij Monsees te gaan eten.

Gewoon in alle opzichten een TOP restaurant. Wij gaan graag uit eten, maar Monsees is voor ons echt de topper van Hilversum! Een verrassende kaart met gerechten bereid op hoog niveau. Complimenten aan de chef/eigenaar die zelf in de keuken staat en zijn vrouw die uitblinkt in gastvrijheid en zorg voor de medewerkers, die stuk voor stuk allen bijdragen aan een uitermate prettige sfeer. Prijs/ kwaliteit = 10. Gastvrijheid & sfeer een 10+. We komen snel weer een keer terug, helemaal nu we ook weten dat ze sinds kort een terras buiten hebben!
