A charming restaurant with a pleasant terrace. It's a great place to discover new dishes and enjoy the delicious Georgian wines paired with grape varieties you don't encounter every day. The staff also know exactly which wine goes best with which dish and are happy to recommend it.

Excellent food, authentic and very well seasoned. Loved every bite, the gentle atmosphere and the friendly vibe. Stellar service and a great place to relax to have lovingly prepared unforgettable dishes.

The food itself was decent, but the service was a real letdown. We waited far too long, only to have all dishes (starters and mains) dropped on the table at once, which made the meal rushed and unpleasant. The table was way too small to fit everything properly. To make things worse, one dish never arrived, and only after asking were we told they had run out — something the staff should have known and communicated right away. The whole service felt disorganised and inattentive, and it really overshadowed the food. Very disappointing experience overall.

Very tasty, cool and atmospheric. The best place we've been to. The waiters and cooks are very eternal, attentive and friendly. A small wish - change the plates when several different dishes are ordered, otherwise we wiped ours with salted ones ourselves after three dishes :)

We ate at Old Tbilisi in Hilversum, and it was a truly wonderful experience! The food was fantastic—very aromatic, full of spices, and simply delicious. We particularly recommend the grilled skewer with salad, the beef soup, the dumplings with meat and cheese, and the freshly baked bread with cheese and egg. Everything tasted authentic and was prepared with love. The staff was incredibly warm and attentive—you immediately feel welcome. One small note: We would have preferred some dressing or simply oil with salt and pepper for the salad, but that's certainly a matter of taste. Overall, we absolutely recommend it; we'd love to come back!

The food was delicious, but quite pricey for what it was. The service was very friendly. They did push a bit to order a lemonade as a drink. We asked if it wasn't too sweet. It wasn't that sweet, but it was incredibly sweet. But they were polite when we wanted to exchange the drink. All in all, it was a nice experience.

The restaurant got a new nice location. Mixed grill was delicious! Khinkali too. We were with 2 dogs, so we asked for 1 boiled egg 🥚. They brought us 2 and didn’t charged for it ☺️ So it is their favorite restaurant now 🐶 Also gin & tonic is ridiculously cheap. Going back only for that!

The food here was amazing. The khinkali are big and flavorful and the pork and garlic dish we had blew us away. Service was fast and attentive and you can tell that they want to do a good job. We live a ways away but will definitely make the trek back to Hilversum just to eat here.

Note: They've moved; the new address is Groest 33, and it's still incorrect on Google Maps. We had a delicious meal here! The staff are also Georgian, and our server even shared some personal details, like how the cake here resembles his grandmother's recipe and how he grew up with the lemonade, which I love. It really adds authenticity to the experience. The atmosphere is great, and the prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be back.

When we took the khinkali home, after 2 hours of waiting. We opened them and they were like they were all crumpled up, there was also a light hair in one of them, and they were falling apart, they also looked like they were undercooked, judging by the top. And they didn't smell very good either.

Really expected more but unfortunately our anniversary meal was a disappointment. 2 out of the 5 meals we shared were good, the rest were very forgetful and bland. You can see the location is new as the poor staff struggled to keep people happy waiting over an hour for food... We got our main meal before the starters, and from other tables complaining about the long wait, you could sense the kitchen just can't keep up, especially on a Saturday...

As someone who grew up with a Georgian family and authentic Georgian food, I found this restaurant a huge disappointment. The dishes we received had little to nothing to do with the flavors, preparation, or experience of true Georgian cuisine. It almost felt like an insult to Georgian culture. Bland, poorly prepared, and completely soulless. I understand that many Dutch people might find this "tasty," but that's mainly because they simply don't know what it's supposed to taste like. If you've grown up with traditional recipes and a love for Georgian cuisine, this hurts. Definitely not recommended for anyone looking for anything even remotely authentic.

Six months after our trip to Georgia, known for its exquisite cuisine, we were eager to see if Old Tbilisi could match that level. Well, absolutely! We felt like we were back on vacation, not least because of the accompanying music. Try this, discover this, and don't forget to sample some typical Georgian wine or lemonade!

The food was delicious, surprising, and excellent value for money. Not everything came out of the kitchen at the right time, but that led to shared dining, which was definitely enjoyable. Highly recommended.

You might not get your food even after 30 minutes of ordering, and they come and say it's already finished! And don't be surprised if your main meal comes before the starter; that happened!

As a big lover of Georgian food and wines, I was very happy with this experience. All the classics are on the menu (plenty of great food for vegetarians too!) and the wines are delicious, especially the qvevris. As is usual in the Georgian eating culture, it is best to order many different dishes and share everything! So far havent had such a nice Georgian meal in Holland. If I hadnt been driving, I would have taken shots of chacha in between too and toast to the good things in life 😁 My sincere compliments to all of you and we will surely be back with family and friends!

Amazing food on grately affordable prices. Super welcoming hosts that will do all to accommodate you. However, sometimes, there might be super noisy groups who will not respect other's.

The khachapuri was incredible, and the khingel was above average. The prices were really affordable. The only thing I didn’t like was the smell of smoke inside and a thick layer of soot that stings the eyes — but I guess there’s an issue with the place, as they’re apparently moving soon. Still, the food was truly delicious.

Adjarian khachapuri is very tasty, good portion, the order was brought to us quickly :) The khinkali was also large and very tasty. We didn't eat anything else but everything looked delicious. Thanks to the chef :)

Mega delicious food yesterday! Friendly and helpful staff. The wines are definitely recommended.

Delicious authentic food. The khinkali (large dumplings with seasoned minced meat and broth) were very tasty. The khachapuri (freshly baked bread with some types of melted cheese in the middle) was also excellent. DO NOT take the Georgian lemonade. We thought it would be a homemade drink, but it's just a way too sweet soda with a lot of food coloring, nothing authentic about it. There was little to no difference in taste between the pear and tarragon lemonade. And way too expensive, 5 euros for a bottle. But otherwise a great place to eat!

I’m not unknown with the Georgian kitchen, I visited Batumi in the past. And eat many times Georgian food in Ukraine, also in Germany and Amsterdam. It was fun to listen to the Dutch visitors how they liked the Georgian food, by my self I’m also Dutch . I think this restaurant deserve some bigger location. I only missed the traditional Georgian soup, Food was fine, very recognisable, and I will visit this restaurant again. Keep up the good work.

I advise you not to pay attention to negative reviews from toxic people, but to get to this place and make sure that everything that is written here with negativity has no value, much less truthfulness. It is not surprising that only our people leave bad reviews, no matter how they serve them, they will always be dissatisfied and offended, they will also write nasty things and be proud of it. Being far from home and usual places of rest, it was difficult to get used to the local cuisine, service and leisure activities that were familiar to them. This restaurant has become a great find and some kind of outlet, where you can always have a great time with friends, get good service and eat delicious food! Guests are always welcome here and they never offend anyone or kick them out, but on the contrary, they try as much as possible to please every guest (even if these guests are not always adequate) Thanks to the whole team for the very warm welcome and to the cook for the incredibly delicious dishes ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Amazing place, with traditional Georgian dishes. Our first time to try it and it was super delicious. The “bags” are filled with bryndza, that’s Slovakian traditional soft cheese and outside of Slovakia I never had it. The red sauce is reminding a Greek sauces and spices. So, I found there influences from other cuisines. What I also loved was the services of the 3 ladies. Not to common to receive such an attention in restaurant in the Netherlands. Very welcoming, ensuring we felt satisfied and super informative. Location is also nice, outside of Center or busy read. Recommending 100%

Until today we have been big fans of your establishment. We invariably celebrated all the important dates for us - family holidays, visits of relatives, and just special evenings. We liked the cuisine, the atmosphere, and even some shortcomings like slow service or not the most attentive service we turned a blind eye to, because the food was always great. We were ready to put up with this for the sake of the taste and mood that your establishment knew how to create. Today we came to celebrate my birthday. We were in a great mood, we had booked a table in advance, ordered food for 170 euros, planned to stay for dessert and tea - the total would have been about 200 euros with tip. The food was again delicious and the service generally pleasant. Until a certain point. As the restaurant filled up and people began to gather at the entrance, people approached our table several times with hints that we should make room. First they politely asked: “How long will you stay? No offense..." - this was already a little strange, but we did not attach any importance. Then they began to come up to us again and again, and they tried to take away plates of unfinished food from right under my wife’s nose. She politely asked to leave it - but after 10 minutes everything happened again. We began to feel pressure on ourselves: as if they were trying to survive us in order to seat new guests. Honestly? This is absolutely unacceptable. In an establishment of this level, with such prices and with such a regular customer as we are, it is impossible to treat this way. No one should feel guilty for choosing to end their meal in peace, especially on their birthday. The mood was ruined. The holiday turned into stress. We left disappointed, with the feeling that we were simply “asked to leave” for the sake of other clients. It's very sad to know that after so many years of visiting and being loyal, we no longer want to come back. And, unfortunately, we will no longer recommend your establishment to friends and family.

Very affordable, tasty food and friendly service

The food was too salty, but the most unpleasant thing was that we were sitting and relaxing on a fairly large bill and wanted to stay for some sweet tea, but they came up to us and asked us to leave after half an hour, because they still had people waiting for a table to become available. A very unpleasant situation.

We reserved a table at 7, but because the restaurant is very small, we were asked to wait some time for a table to free up. The wait was a bit longer than we hoped (around 30 minutes), but the owner was very apologetic and insisted in the end gave us drinks for free. When entering, you could hear that Russian, Ukrainian and Georgian were the most commonly spoken languages - always a good sign for authenticity. The restaurant was absolutely packed, and had a welcoming interior. The food was easily the best Georgian food I've had in western Europe, and it is absolutely going to fulfill your craving if you want delicious Khachapuri. The food was fresh, piping hot, and homemade with authentic Georgian seasoning. Due to the delay of 30 minutes despite having reserved the table and a couple of little things like some of the mains coming out before some of the appatizers happened, we were initially a bit worried but the owner came out to check on each of us and explained any delays with a lot of hospitality. The food absolutely makes you forget any bumps along the way. I will definitely come back again. Amazing food, good prices. Try to come early and not during peak hours, the staff will also thank you!

It was wonderful again, the second time I've been there, and I'll definitely be back. Food is simply great, service good and yes, simply delicious. The only comment I have is that in terms of reservations I have now had both times that apparently something did not go through properly. The staff has solved it neatly every time and therefore the food was super tasty. But I would like/need to highlight it as a point of attention. Now to see when I can go again :)

Today, visitors to this incredible establishment, they came without a reservation, everything was busy, but the waiters found a place for us, it was incredibly tasty, pleasant atmosphere, the staff was very attentive to their visitors, they constantly asked if everything was okay, if everything was delicious! We ate a mix of grill and khachapuri, it was so delicious that we didn’t even have time to take a photo.

10/10 experience. We love Georgian food so much, but it’s difficult to find outside of Georgia. This was an absolute gem and worth the commute from Amsterdam. We got khinkali, khachapuri, and the Georgian mixed grill platter and the old Tbilisi cake. I recommend all of these dishes! We also got a pear flavoured Georgian lemonade which was quite sweet and deliscious. I also got a glass of svanuri wine. All amazing, so amazing we didn’t take pictures !!

Wonderful restaurant! The atmosphere is cozy and warm, you immediately feel welcome. The food is at the highest level - the dishes are incredibly tasty, with a rich and rich taste. The service is impeccable. Definitely deserves 5 out of 5! If I lived closer, I would come more often 🫶

A very small restaurant. Five tables inside and the same number outside. We didn't want to sit inside; there was a smell of burnt food coming from the kitchen. The waitresses are inexperienced and don’t know in what order what to serve. But the food is amazingly tasty, for that we give it an overall four. On the plus side: they brought blankets for those visitors on the street; they didn’t charge money for a broken glass.

Fantastic spot in Hilversum for authentic Georgian cuisine. The place is located on a quite side street, featuring a cozy outdoor area. All the dishes we had were delicious and freshly prepared. Can particularly recommend the khinkali. Portions are very generous. Great selection of Georgian wines. To top things off, staff is very friendly and welcoming.

A month in advance I ordered a special table for 6 people, especially for my mother's birthday. 70 years! We came yesterday and the table was occupied by another group. And we had to sit near the door, which was cold and draughty. Bizarrely, older people of 70 and 80 years old have to sit in the corner. Never again. I won't even tell you how messy the service was.
