It was lively on the terrace, with many passersby.

Beautiful location directly opposite the church in Burgh-Haamstede. We ate there for the first time and were not disappointed. The menu offers a wide selection of food and drinks. The portions are generous and delicious. We would definitely eat there again at the next opportunity.

Today, the four of us had coffee here first and then enjoyed a delicious lunch. Super service and delicious food. Our girls' day out was a success again today, especially with lunch. This is definitely highly recommended if you are in Burg Haamstede. Top top top

Sigh, paying for tap water…. in the Netherlands the tap water is of excellent quality, it comes straight from the tap, so why should I have to pay for it when I order and pay for a bottle of wine and other individual drinks? A disgrace to the normally hospitable Dutch hospitality industry!

We were a group of three for dinner. We were completely satisfied and would come back.

We only had a drink. Inside, because there was no room outside.

Went twice last week, what a cozy brasserie! Once for lunch and the other time for dinner. The food is delicious and the prices are good. The terrace by the church square is nice, but the interior is cozy too. Highly recommended!

Cozy place right in the city center! We have been here twice in total. For dinner, which we enjoyed very much! And the next morning for a nice coffee. The owner was friendly and even came over for a chat with us. That is why I don't really understand the other reviews. The price-quality ratio is great!

Super hospitable welcome and delicious food. Service and speed were just right; we didn't have to wait too long for the food, but there was certainly enough time to have a nice chat in between. And although not on the menu, a ‘children’s dessert’ was served for the ladies anyway. That really made the dinner complete! 5 stars well deserved!

They have delicious coffee with homemade cookies and homemade eggnog with whipped cream.

Tasty (and plentiful) food (main course). We were able to share it with our little one. The service was very friendly and nice to our son. Highly recommended; we went back again a week later.

The food is good and the prices are OK. The terrace is very comfortable and right in the middle of everything.

The service was below par. We arrived at the brasserie at 5:50 PM and our order was served at 7:10 PM. In the meantime, there was absolutely no communication. There were six of us, so it would have been customer-friendly if a member of staff had taken the trouble to tell us that it would take about an hour and a half before the food would be on the table. At least then we would have had the opportunity to go elsewhere. We certainly would have done so. So, not recommended, or...... ask in advance how long things would take.

The starter was fine, but the spareribs were too fatty and the cod was swimming in sauce. Really not tasty. A shame about our night out.

We had a delicious meal for four; the fried mussels were lovely, the sole fillets very tasty, and the fish stew excellent with plenty of vegetables, fries, and homemade rhubarb compote. Highly recommended.

You get great value for money here! You get vegetables, potatoes, etc. with your dish, and it is very tasty too. I had the fried mussels Zeeland style – highly recommended!

They don't know how to treat customers. You reserve a table, ask the waiter if you can sit down while you park your bike, and they give your table to someone else, leaving you standing at the door looking like an idiot. The hospitality industry needs professionals. The restaurant next door understood this, and we had a good meal and were treated much better.

We ate here last week with 6 people. First of all, there was a discussion about the fact that baguette comes with starters and not separately. This was also pointed out arrogantly and without being customer-friendly, and after that, you could sense a bad atmosphere throughout the evening regarding the service from the waitstaff, which is such a shame! Dinner was mediocre; the fact that it is busy causes the quality to be lower, which is very unfortunate. We will not be coming back.

Had a delicious meal on the terrace with a view of the square. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly and efficient service. The toilets were clean.

Not a very cozy place. We were seated right near the kitchen. The wait staff were mainly complaining and gossiping about guests to the cooks. They could spend their time better... Believe me, you don't want people talking about you like that. The food is okay. But don't expect anything special.

We visited here a few times during the few days we were in Burgh Haamstede. The cocktails are also very good. There is also a separate terrace.

We had a delicious meal at Brasserie De Barones in Burgh-Haamstede. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It is certainly worth mentioning that the restrooms were spotlessly clean and fresh, demonstrating an eye for hygiene and detail. This is also a nice place to stop by for just a good cup of coffee. We will definitely return here and highly recommend this brasserie!

We had a reservation, but we ended up arriving much earlier than expected due to our itinerary. The team was very accommodating and did everything they could to find us a table. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food was truly excellent. A great find, we highly recommend it!

We had surf and turf here yesterday. Absolutely delicious! Very nice, friendly service. Top-notch service and fun to be around. The food was plentiful, and they even offered to bring us more fries for free. We'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

The food is absolutely not worth the money! Essential ingredients were missing from the dishes, and all the familiar ingredients were served one after the other, lukewarm. The quality of the fish was terrible.

The hosts give you a lovely, take-it-easy feeling. Coffee with a mini liqueur was top-notch. Delicious toasted sandwich with pesto and garnish. De Barones is highly recommended.

€11.75 for an Aperol Spritz. Never again. And it didn't even have an orange slice in it. That's what you get for not asking for a menu, but it's still a rip-off.

A super cozy place to eat. Highly recommended!! Very nice welcome, both from the host and the staff. Very friendly atmosphere. A pleasant chat with the staff in between courses. It really is a case of "you ask, we deliver" there. Had a fantastic meal; compliments to the kitchen staff behind the scenes. As we Brabanders say: It was all RICE good.

The cuisine was rather limited, as the same ingredients appeared in almost every dish. For example, I was quite skeptical about the fish and pepper soup. The same peppers were used in the mussel casserole… I didn't enjoy my meal at all. And then there was a bread and tapenade platter placed in the center of the table, which I hadn't ordered but was charged for because it had already been eaten.

We arrived around 7:30 pm on Saturday evening without a reservation. The staff found us a table, and the welcome was fantastic. The service was quick and impeccable, the food was good quality, and the portions were very generous. Thank you to the whole team! 👍

We were here on Easter Monday, when it was a lively atmosphere around the church with all kinds of stalls. We also saw De Barones there and had coffee with, according to them, cake. We enjoyed sitting outside on the terrace. Friendly service, and the coffee and cake were delicious.

Upon entering, there was a terrible, unpleasant chemical smell of toilet freshener. The entire restaurant smelled of it. Service was good, food was mediocre. Lots of room for improvement.

As a group of five, we ordered five completely different dishes. All the dishes were top-notch in terms of both ingredients and preparation. The kitchen deserved six stars. The service, however, was a bit lacking. Nevertheless, five stars overall.

After a very nice and warm welcome, we had a delicious meal here. The tournedos was prepared perfectly, as were the carpaccio and planked salmon. The portions were more than sufficient, so sufficient in fact that there was unfortunately no room left for dessert. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely come back to eat.

Super friendly staff, very helpful with charging my bike battery. We had soup here during our culinary tour of Happen en Trappen (Happiness and Cycling). The soup was delicious! Of course, we also had a drink on the terrace; the weather was so nice in early October! A place to remember! Restrooms were very clean.

The food was delicious, but parking was very difficult due to municipal regulations.

Unfortunately, not recommended at the moment. The service is absolutely terrible. Even though the restaurant wasn't nearly full (maybe 50%), five servers couldn't even check for drinks in a timely manner. There was a 65-minute wait between the starter and the main course!!! The meat wasn't hot anymore, so it's likely that it had been waiting too long for pickup. Dessert arrived, but there was no cutlery. It arrived 10 minutes later, fresh from the dishwasher, unfortunately without a napkin. The only annoying thing was that the dessert came with ice cream. After we placed our order to pay, 20 minutes passed, after which we went inside to pay. Hopefully, they can get this terrible service under control; the atmosphere outside is really nice.

Good food, decent portions. However, despite moderate occupancy, we had to wait more than 20 minutes for two toasties (probably a glitch in the ordering process, but no apology). Otherwise, OK.

Terrible food. I've never eaten such unpalatable fish.

We had to wait quite a while before we could place our food order. I explained that I have several allergies, including milk protein. The dish was served with Parmesan cheese, and when I inquired if this was okay, the waiter said it was indeed milk-free. I asked again if it was truly milk-free, and the waiter assured me it was. It turned out that the cheese did contain milk protein, as I'd experienced many symptoms. This was very unprofessional and dangerous, as my nut allergy could have resulted in a different outcome.

I had the "Verwen Me-nu" and it wasn't the best, the tomato soup as a starter was great, the surprise dessert too, but the ribs were much too fatty and too dry, there could be improvement.
