Brasserie Oldenhave in Wijk 01

During our 2026 holiday, we ate here four times in 14 days, and every dish was absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly, and even though there were occasional language difficulties, I was completely satisfied, as was my son, who already misses the pancakes! We're looking forward to next year and enjoying the delicious food again 😋

A burger for 30 euros that had been cut open to reveal it was overcooked in the fryer—ridiculous. Even Burger King is better, and that's saying something. One should avoid everything from this outfit, which is difficult, of course, since they have a monopoly on the campsite. From now on, we'll only eat out. Doesburg and the surrounding area have some truly excellent restaurants that deserve to be appreciated. Customer service and friendliness are still paramount there, and even if you have to make a bit of an effort to communicate, it's worth it in the end. There are still some really great restaurants nearby where you can actually enjoy spending money and having a good evening.

The lunch menu closes at 4 p.m. At 3:50 p.m., we ask to choose a dinner dish. Apparently, this is not possible. At 4:01 p.m., it suddenly is. Customer service is non-existent. Not worth repeating.

Very customer unfriendly. If you come in around 15:40 for a bite and a drink, you are given the lunch menu from which you can order until 16:00. However, we had already come to look at the menu earlier in the week and had seen something listed that was apparently on the dinner menu (available to order from 16:00). When we wanted to order this, the staff was anything but helpful. By then it was already 15:50. When we then decided to order from the lunch menu, the staff remained standing behind the counter and did not come to take our order. People who came in after us were able to order directly from the dinner menu… Very disappointing!

Terrible service! We had a fine meal, but after sitting for an hour and not once being asked if we wanted anything to drink or anything like that, I was done. I pointed this out, but there was no reaction other than "I'm not going to argue and I'm ending this conversation." Very unprofessional! Just shoddy service.

Eaten there for the 2nd time. The 1st time was great, but the 2nd time was terrible. There are only a few good waitstaff; had to send food back twice (hamburger was cold, cheese not even melted), and ordered a medium Bavette but received it overcooked at the table.. the waitstaff didn't know what they were bringing to the table (steak or bavette). Had to call the waitstaff myself to order dessert and finally get the table cleared after almost an hour. Received the menu, but the rest of the table still hadn't been cleared. Then, after waiting for more than another half hour, had to go pay because they simply didn't come to take dessert orders and it was taking way too long…

Extremely overpriced, even for a campsite. We arrived without a reservation, were shown to an empty spot, and then left sitting there. When we asked if there was a menu, we were told rather arrogantly that it would take a very long time because they had reservations. It seemed like they didn't want guests who were willing to spend money spontaneously. That's probably why the snack bar right next door was so packed. We certainly won't be coming back.

The service is completely unusable. It constantly says "my colleague will be with you shortly".

Had a really nice dinner date here. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and perfect for a relaxed evening. The food was delicious and beautifully presented — especially the main course and desserts. Service was friendly and attentive throughout the night, and the staff made us feel very welcome without being overwhelming. i didn’t expect such an amazing evening at a holiday park.For nice quit date i will highly recommend this place. Overall, a great place for a dinner date and I’d definitely come back again.

Tasty food, but service was slow

We dined at your restaurant last Saturday with a group of 12 people. The dishes were truly delicious and full of flavor. Personally, we found the main courses to be a bit on the small side in terms of portions, but fortunately, that did not detract from the quality of the food. What we found disappointing was that the dishes were served very spread out. Sometimes there were 5 to 10 minutes between courses, meaning not everyone could eat at the same time. One person had ordered a salad and only received it when the rest were already well underway, even though that seemed to be the simplest dish. Unfortunately, we also found the service to be somewhat lacking. It took almost half an hour before anyone even came to our table. Additionally, things regularly went wrong with the drinks; orders were incorrect or drinks were brought that were not intended for our table at all. In short: we are certainly satisfied with the quality and taste of the food, but there is still room for improvement regarding service and organization.

Had a delicious meal, good cuts of meat. And well prepared. Ribeye rare was superb, steak medium rare also well cooked. Good service, in short, a wonderful meal.

Wanted to have a nice dinner on the terrace. What a farce. Untrained service. Tried to serve drinks from other tables to us multiple times. Served a beer with a wine glass and then placed the beer glass down in front of the person drinking wine. Ordered a medium/rare rib-eye, received it well done. Sent it back, was served a plate after some time, and suddenly my meat was a bavette. Sent it back again. After some time, my rub-eye. It was completely good and I had a delicious meal. Except for the fact that my table companions were, of course, long finished. When the bill came, they indicated they had removed a 0.0% beer from the bill as compensation. Did not agree to this; after explaining the situation to two colleagues, the manager (without speaking to me) offered a 50% discount on the rub-eye. Still not really the solution that seemed appropriate to me, but I agreed to avoid starting a lengthy discussion. Go train your staff. Expensive menu that really does not match the service. Not recommended.

You pay 12.50 euros for the dessert. And what are you paying for? An ice cream that they have on the menu for 2.50: 3 raspberries, 3 blueberries, and some chocolate sauce; pure rip-off, in other words.

Unfortunately, takeaway food wasn't available. The service was also very arrogant. Oh well, saved 150 euros. But that's typical of the whole campsite.

We were here on October 18, 2025, with 10 adults and 4 (busy) small children. The service was fantastic; nothing was too much trouble, they kept smiling and seemed relaxed. Compliments. The food was also great. Thanks everyone.

The food was acceptable, but nothing more. The prices were far too high in our opinion. The staff wasn't particularly attentive, even though there were only four tables occupied that evening. Therefore, we only visited the restaurant in the evening on the day we arrived.

I'm giving 4 stars because the fries at lunchtime were really awful, as if they had been fried twice. We went back a few days later for dinner, and the service was truly top-notch. The fries were good, the steak was wonderfully tender, and carpaccio with a different salad was no problem. The service was also good, and it was clever of them to keep asking if everything was to their liking and if we wanted anything else. The shrimp could have been cooked a little longer for my taste; they were on the edge of being overcooked/raw. Other than that, the service was very cheerful and cheerful in the evening, which was what really made it. If "Tientje" Ties reads this, good luck with your next project. We were happy to have you as our server. We had a delicious meal on Friday, August 29th.

We had high expectations, but it was disappointing. We ordered a sirloin steak for €32. Unfortunately, it was very fatty, leaving us with very little meat. We ordered a Liefmans 0.0: one glass with two ice cubes, even though the glass says it should be served with plenty of ice. The high chair was also filthy (the white straps were black from dirt). When we asked if we could get a clean chair, a grumpy employee came and cleaned it. The best part was the dessert. Unfortunately, it was very small for €9 (not even two scoops of ice cream with four blueberries and two halved strawberries). We won't be back anytime soon.

The food is delicious but a bit overpriced for the location and style of restaurant. The staff are friendly but the way the service is organized is a bit chaotic. There is very little "atmosphere" in the restaurant but at the same time, its a very family friendly place. Overall, I was super impressed by the restaurant given its location at a holiday park - I did not expect this kind of quality out in the middle of nowhere. Would definitely go again - their nachos are amazing.

The spare ribs were bone dry, didn't even taste like spare ribs, and were hard and had lots of loose bone. Never had such a bad experience. I reported it, but there was no goodwill toward a discount. I paid full price for a dish that was inedible. Such a shame!

This place is more of a tourist rip-off than a genuine attempt to offer good food and service. 1) The food is massively overpriced. 2) Tasteless. A real disappointment here at Capfun!!! Can't recommend this place.

The food was quite good, but not worth the price. The wait time for both the table and the food was really good! Some of the staff were downright unfriendly! Misunderstood things were interpreted negatively to the guests (ordered a Hugo, got an Aperol that would have been too good to throw away, and was allegedly ordered incorrectly). A table next to them wanted an extra plate, but instead got an extra salad...

I waited a few hours for some food, which was also served incorrectly. A few simple items were also missing. The staff also displayed very poor communication. And the food was just plain awful.

The food was massively overpriced, and apart from one waiter, everyone was rude. My cocktail that day was larger because it had ice in it. I'm a trained waiter, and the drink I requested without ice wasn't even a third of what it was the day before! That's a great way to rip people off! Outrageous!

The service was friendly and fast, even though it was quite busy. We had a children's menu: 5 chicken nuggets for almost €10. The fries were incredibly small. The chicken nuggets had a kind of doughnut batter, which wasn't good. The fries were dry and had some paprika spices, which wasn't good. My son only ate two bites. The cannelloni wasn't very good, I estimate 150g pre-cooked, heated in the oven with some grated cheese. It was truly awful, and for €24, it was truly outrageous. I hardly ever write reviews, but this was truly awful. You'd expect it to be at a campsite in France, but not in the Netherlands. It did give me that extra holiday feeling, though. 🤪

Surprisingly delicious food at a holiday park/campsite/marina. A brasserie with classy food and very pleasant service. Worth the detour.

Pleasantly surprised, when we arrived we thought for a moment where we ended up, but what a delicious meal we had, super beautiful dishes, well prepared and in terms of taste the 5 stars are still on the low side. THE mustard soup, richly filled with bacon, creamy and full of flavour, the bavette melted in the mouth and the parfait had a wonderful taste and was beautifully presented. Here you could see and taste that attention was paid to it. We will definitely be back. We had a wonderful evening. The service was friendly and did their best to ensure that you are not short of anything.

Ambience is very chic. Even though we were the only ones in the restaurant, we waited 50 minutes for the food. In addition, the entire food was cold, almost inedible... In addition, some cutlery was missing. Value for money is really bad, the portions were really small for the price...

I just got it at 2 p.m., 2 Ordered bowls of fries, there's not much to do and it's now 2:20 p.m. and the fries aren't ready yet, while the ladies who ordered after me received their large order including pizza at 2:10 p.m

Terrace not nearly full. It takes a very long time before drinks are requested, then it takes more than 10 minutes before the drinks are served. Then ordered food. Had to wait more than 60 minutes for the food. Then some part is "forgotten". Several things were "forgotten" also with the drinks. Everyone's burgers and fries are cold before the last person has received the main course. The food was also tasty in terms of taste. But I can't give the service, atmosphere and staff more than 1-2 stars. Had to ask for the bill 3 times from the same person.

Ok, all families with all those children is terrible, but then you shouldn't eat at a Capfun holiday park.... So you won't hear me about that!

Everything was okay so far. Some employees here speak German, which makes communication a lot easier. But the service itself is rather slow. Sometimes things get forgotten. Otherwise, it was a shame that a large area of ​​the terrace was simply not open. It was 30°C and we had to sit with our son in the stuffy interior of the building. We were there three times in total - also because there was nothing else nearby...

Ordered food last night and it was very hot. We did not find the restaurant neat and clean. It was a bit chaotic. There were some food scraps on some tables. It was clearly visible that they were working with too few staff. Please be aware that you will need to be patient both when ordering and receiving your order. We have to say that despite the crowds they really did their best!

First of all: the food was really good. Juicy burgers, delicious fries - everything fresh and a good portion. However, we had to endure 55 minutes and 2 friendly requests for the menu. There are a lot of staff here, but one only for glasses, one only for orders, one only for cards. We felt ignored. And when they asked about the menu, they said, “There are other guests ahead of you.” In the meantime, three tables that came after us were served. There were about 30 cards in it. Generally very unfriendly and not customer oriented. Efficient personnel management works differently. The men's toilet was closed because it was broken. Also quite difficult given the long waiting time. I thought it was because we were German. But even with Dutch the treatment did not improve. I saw Spezi on the map and asked again if it was Spezi. It came: Mezzomix. It tastes different and is not the same. Annoying because I don't like that. Our child did not receive a menu or cutlery. After 55 minutes we finally got the menu - it took another 20 minutes for the order to be taken. The food came after 20 minutes - which is totally fine. It was a bit annoying that we checked every 5 minutes to see whether there were empty glasses and whether half-full bottles had ended up on the tray. Please improve the service - but this has been in the reviews for years.

Opted for the spareribs. These were partly black and overcooked, making them very dry. Clearly not a specialty. Shame for what you pay for it! My wife and children opted for a salami pizza and BBQ pizza, which were still very white. Took quite a while before someone came to take an order.

Fantastic chef, fresh products and made just right. Service friendly and fast. When it's busy, everyone has to wait sometimes, right? Nice team. Keep it up.

Very disappointed! If you arrive at 12:30 you have to ask for a drink card which was 1 after we had been there for a while... Asking if there was a possibility to eat and if there was a menu was 2. If you want to pass on what you want, you simply cannot eat what you want, only eat after 4 pm... if this had been communicated immediately, we could have continued immediately elsewhere! Service was anything but... Netherlands French the man did not understand or pretended to!

Delicious food! Well, I must honestly say that it was with an offer and that the price-quality ratio is very good. It is in a holiday park, and it has a bit of that atmosphere. But well seated and spacious. Very friendly staff. Very easy with everything and a relaxed attitude, but alert and involved. It wasn't a very busy evening, but it was a good experience. Location is just behind the dike, so close to the water and on the cycle route. Large terrace there. Also a great destination for a cup of coffee, lunch or ice cream.

📆 - October 7, 2023 We went here with 5 adult men and ordered a 3 course menu. (Booked via Social Deal) Well, I can tell, we had all eaten enough! It were large portions and it tasted delicious! We even had live music in the background which of course improved the atmosphere. ➕ - Benefits - Large portions, live music and good burgers ➖ - Disadvantages - Parking at the beginning of the street. Otherwise you can keep searching for a long time.

Wir waren eher zufällig da und ich hatte wegen des äußeren Eindrucks nicht viel erwartet. Die Bedienung war super nett und aufmerksam. Nebenher wurde noch jemand angelernt, was super war, denn es war gerade nicht so voll. Unser Pudel wurde zuerst bedient 🐶🥰, bekam einen frischen Wassernapf direkt am den Tisch. Das Broodje Carpaccio hat etwas gedauert, war aber frisch und sehr lecker. Unbedingt empfehlenswert das selbstgebaute Bier! Am besten hat uns das Enkel geschmeckt!

Geweldig lekker gegeten, de bediening is zeer vriendelijk en de prijs is goed. De brasserie is op camping IJsselstrand waar ik een fan van ben.

Leckeres Essen zu völlig akzeptablen Preisen. Viele Speisen gibt es am, leider sehr unauffälligen Imbiss (innenliegend), auch zum Mitnehmen. Das Personal ist stets freundlich, wirkt aber gelegentlich gestresst (trotz geringer Auslastung). Ein schöner Spielplatz ist direkt davor, sodass Familien entspannt essen können.

Wir waren mit 6 Erwachsenen und 5 Kindern dort essen, kinder bekamen zuerst, was wir für sehr angenehm empfunden :) Auch unser Essen war zügig da. Wir hatten verschiedene Pizzen, Bürger, Salat ,sowie die Ribs und anschließend Eis . Alles war sehr gut 👍 Die 4 Sterne nur, weil wir am Vortag da waren und um 20 Uhr schon weggeschickt worden waren :(

Man darf dort Hunde mitbringen und wird nett begrüßt. Vor dem Restaurant ist ein Kinderspielplatz. Eltern können so in Ruhe essen und ihre Kinder beobachten.Alle Mitarbeiter sind steht’s sehr aufmerksam und höflich. Kleine Änderungen am Essen sind kein Problem und werden entsprechend umgesetzt. Wir waren zweimal im Abstand von zwei Tagen dort , mit unserem großen Hund,essen und waren äußerst zufrieden. Die Brasserie Oldenhaven ist auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert, wenn man gut und preiswert Essen möchte.

Die Pizza war sehr lecker mit tollem Teig. Der vegetarische rote Bete Burger war mit Abstand der beste, den ich bisher auswärts gegessen habe. Die Terasse ist schön und auch mit Kindern lässt es sich Dank großem Spielplatz und Hüpfkissen entspannt essen. Das Personal war auch gut. Die Preise sind zwar etwas höher als ich es sonst gewohnt bin, aber da Lage und Geschmack super, kann ich sagen ist es das Geld wert.

Toller Ort für einen Ausflug mit der Familie, mit einem großen Spielplatz direkt vor der Restaurantterasse. Das lokal biedet eine gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Gerichten. Man findet die Klassiker wie Burger, Schnitzel, Pommes, Sandwiches, aber auch holländische Spezialitäten. Die Portionen sind groß, die Preise sind fair.

Lekker op het terras gezeten in de zon, broodje kroket en een clubsandwich smaakte voortreffelijk! Leuke bediening , echt een aanrader!
