Bistro la Boucherie is no longer a bistro but a tapas restaurant, unfortunately.

Ook na nogmaals overdenken vind ik het geen plaats om naar terug te gaan. Het eten viel me tegen, de poten van de tafels irritant, de ruimte een samenraapsel van themas waar Spanje niet in de buurt ligt en het tochtte nog ook. Beter in de zomer gaan, dan kun je buiten zitten op een mini patiootje. De rekening was hollands horeca geoptimaliseerd: drankjes zo vaak mogelijk over de kop met 6 euro voor een matige glas wijn en bier uit een flesje van de super om de hoek. Een zakelijke keuze waar ik zo mn twijfels bij heb of het houdbaar genoeg blijft. En 'cappuchino met melk hebben we niet, net als in Spanje'? Een koffie met slagroom uit de bus ken ik uit Oost-Europa in de jaren 90. Niet van vorige maand in Spanje waar de cappuccino - decaf, havermelk op elke straathoek in prima kwaliteit te koop was. De 40-50 euro pp is voor mij niet in verhouding tot het gebodene,

Enjoyed a pleasant and atmospheric meal with good service and value for money

Heerlijk gegeten en gezeten. Relaxte avond Elke gang een verassing. Genoeg te eten en desert een mooie afsluiting. Prima bediening! Wij komen gauw weer.

A lovely evening out with my husband after a long time. We spotted a nice little restaurant on Google, so we headed over in the cold. After 20 minutes, we arrived, excited to have a drink. Without even asking if we wanted dinner, we were immediately told, with the door handle in hand and two tables dining, that they were only open for dinner... It wasn't very hospitable, and apparently, they didn't want to make any money. We were even laughed at as we were walking out.

I received a shockingly small amount. The taste was good, but this was the last time! Sorry!

We made a reservation here because the website said it was 27.50 per person. We called to be sure... no, it was 43 euros, the website had not yet been updated... very unfortunate that this did not meet our expectations.

On Saturday, October 5, 2024, we walked in here without a reservation with two people. We received an extremely warm welcome and were seated immediately. The host understood our wishes and served an excellent meal (and wine) in an atmosphere that suited us perfectly. The host has a keen sense of his guests and responds well to them. The food was delicious. The wine was excellent. We had a delightful evening.

We stopped in Doesburg with our boat. While searching for a restaurant, we unexpectedly received a recommendation from another restaurant in Doesburg to eat there. What a treat!! The service was top-notch, positive and attentive, and the chef, perfect! The food was superb with a smooth, delicious wine. After dinner, we invited the cook and chef to share a cava to accompany our superb meal. I didn't even have to pay for it afterward! After sharing this experience, the chef commented, a bit emotionally, something I've never experienced before. Go there and be surprised. A top-notch restaurant with atmosphere and quality. Went here to eat via social deal. Once and never again. You don't get a menu. It is determined what you get to eat. Are you not allowed to eat certain things because of an allergy? You are unlucky and you don't get anything to eat. It is advertised as unlimited, that is not the case either, after 4 very small rounds your table is cleared. It is more like a tasting. On social deal there is a choice of dessert. There is none. There is only 1 type of dessert

Super cozy place and ambiance and a nice, friendly host. We were a little less fan of the tapas concept, but were charmed by the a la carte that we had had here before, but which does not apply in the summer. Absolutely enjoyed it despite that, thanks!

Delicious food! Ended up here via Social Deal. Extremely friendly and courteous service with some humor. Tapas came in rounds, surprise from the chef. Delicious tapas and different from the average tapas place. Explanation of what each dish entailed. Tasted surprising flavor combinations and the quantity was more than sufficient. Something for us to definitely return to when we are in the area again.

Good food. Small-scale but therefore cozy. No extensive map. But excellent dishes. Now updated to Spanish Tapas. Delicious!

A hidden gem in Doesburg where you can enjoy delicious food and receive a very personal approach. Top service, top food and a super cozy location. Just like you're in Spain! Muy bien!!

Our second visit to this restaurant left a mixed impression. Unfortunately we were a bit disappointed with the quality of the tapas this time. It seems that not all of the food was fresh and prepared on site, which is understandable these days. However, a little more care should have been taken with the quality and presentation when selecting and preparing the convenience products, as they fell well short of the home-made dishes. Despite the restaurant being busy, the service was always attentive and friendly. The ambience in the restaurant and the attached garden is lovingly designed and contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. We will give the restaurant another chance and hope to find the same level of quality as our first visit on our next visit.

Not a second time for us. Food was very substandard. We assumed that we could choose ourselves, but that was not possible (social deal). There was also a terrible sewage smell in the outside area at times... too bad.

On July 11, 2024 we had dinner at Bistro La Boucherie in Doesburg Due to my girlfriend's birthday Upon entering, they were asked where they wanted to sit We chose to sit in the courtyard Once in the courtyard there was immediately a smoke of incense and 3 sticks were burning behind us, I immediately got a headache, luckily they burned out quickly and the music was way too loud. That was the 1st and 2nd disappointment The 3rd letdown was that the owner came to the table and told us what was on the menu No free choice as to what was on the internet Dishes were listed in rapid succession and everything had a Spanish meaning and it was not really explained because you couldn't choose anything yourself, you just had to wait and see what was presented to you When we walked through the courtyard, there were starters ready and drying out on the left and right of the bar and order cupboard. He was quick to drink the drink In addition to wine and soft drinks, we also asked for a bottle of plain water Instead of a closed bottle of spa blue, a swing-top bottle with tap water was placed on the table For reasons of hygiene, this is not permitted At checkout it cost €3.50 The time between dishes was long It took at least 15 minutes from serving and clearing the very small portions and then it took at least 15 minutes before the new dish was on the table What we immediately noticed was that other tables could choose from dishes that were indicated And others received the menu And other tables got bigger portions than us Something we immediately noticed at a table next to us with 6 people Received portions for 8 people Except for the lamb chops, they only got 3 of them while they had none at all After 5 small dishes we were asked whether we wanted to take a break to lower the food or continue We indicated that we wanted to continue, but it took at least another 15 minutes before 2 shrimp croquettes and 6 squid rings arrived. while we already had squid rings Apparently this was the only thing that wasn't there You did not have the option to order some fries or baked potatoes or bread with herb butter with the dishes With one dish we got diced fries with a strange sauce on top When we finished the squid rings the owner just walked around us and took away our plates and order without saying anything This was the final straw and yet another letdown for me I walked away quite angry My girlfriend immediately asked for the bill And got a slimy question whether everything was okay and whether we didn't want dessert or anything from the kitchen My girlfriend internally counted to 10 and wisely shut up and settled The food itself A few dishes were tasty: the chicken wings, the squid rings, a piece of toast with dried ham and the shrimp croquettes. There is nothing wrong with these dishes, they come from wholesalers The other dishes made by the chef himself were a lot less Just as the beef meatballs were dried out, the small chicken pieces with a sauce were also cold and dried out. We also noticed that there were more vegetable dishes than meat dishes For us this is really once and never again, even if I could eat there for nothing And I certainly wouldn't recommend this Bistro to anyone Someone who has had a gastric bypass goes away hungry You pay dearly for it and you get little in return You're better off going to the Mac and getting a hamburger menu This will leave you fuller than an evening of dining out at Bistro La Boucherie And it's cheaper This Bistro doesn't get more than a 4 from me

Had a wonderful night out. Food was delicious, service top notch. Will definitely come back.

We hebben uit de ,,social deals,, die er zijn dit restaurant uitgezocht om gezellig te gaan eten,tenminste dat was de intentie, .. mijn vriendin had gereserveerd voor zaterdagavond 06 -07 2024 om daar met z'n viertjes te gaan eten! Met het grootste gemak werd ze vrijdagochtend gebeld met de mededeling dat het het restaurant om 20.30 zou sluiten ivm de voetbalwedstrijd 🤨🫢... Zonder enig overleg was dat de mededeling🙄😡 ..mijn vriendin vroeg nog..maar hoe gaat dat met de ,,deal,,..antwoord: dat geld moest ze dan maar terug zien te vorderen van ,,social deal,,...dat is prima gelukt inmiddels 🤩 Maar hoe het restaurant ermee is omgegaan met de reservering,en dan zo wordt AFGESERVEERD, kan in mijn beleving niet de bedoeling zijn.. We zijn ook van plan er ook NOOIT meer naar toe te gaan. Dat was ons verhaal! Yvonne en Silvia.

Ik had een tournedos besteld medium en kreeg hem rare. Ze namen het terug en sneden hem in stukken en was nog steeds rare dus mijn man heeft hem maar opgegeten. Hij had in de gaten dat ik niet vrolijk was dus werd er ook niet gevraagd of alles na wens was. Helaas maar niet voor herhaling vatbaar

Had dinner here last night with four people. Enjoyed the cozy atmosphere... lovely music (not too loud and not too soft) We opted for the tapas and that was a more than good choice. This is how tapas should taste. Not the ready-made tapas bought from the wholesaler, but delicious, freshly prepared. This is how you also get them in Spain. The service knows how it should be done. A real host and unfortunately you don't see that often anymore. The evening ended with a delicious Irish coffee, which was made at the table, as it should be. Here they have understood. I say if you are in Doesburg, eat at bistro la Boucherie.

Tapas menu. Entourage is dingy. If you have an open kitchen, make sure it is tidy... also when the door to the toilets opens, a sewage smell enters the restaurant. You have to pay for tap water even if, like us, you order 2 bottles of wine. That's really not possible, that should be service with an expensive bottle of wine. Unfortunately, you will only see this on the bill later. The tapas were very simple. In short, not recommended according to our entire group of 6.

Wat een leuke gezellige sfeervolle avond. We hebben ons laten verrassen met tapas door de chef. Echt alles wat voorbij kwam was zalig. Zo genoten van de gezellige bediening en de héérlijke tapas. Een echte aanrader! Wij komen zeker terug.

Everything ok, unfortunately no wine list. They explain what wine they have, but you don't know in advance what the price is.

Good food, they also have some options for the vegetarians among us. Occasionally you received free extra snacks, which was also a pleasant surprise (bread with dip, toast with salad or extra chocolate/cookie with your coffee).

Cozy bistro, but the food was far below par. Being interesting about a piece of toast with two slices of potato salad from the supermarket... A real mockery!

A party! Delicious authentic Spanish tapas. Lots of variety in hot and cold dishes and more than enough. We enjoyed it and would love to come back again!

Guests with dietary requirements are more than welcome and will be shown the door. If you can't take that into account, then you're not a good restaurant and you're not a real chef.

Food was dry, very little and above all not tasty.

Cozy and delicious food. Tapas was really great. All you can eat... it's great that people asked what they shouldn't serve. They helped take that into account. But another tapas that I really wanted was no longer possible... the plates were taken away without asking if it was enough. Thought we would get clean plates but the next dish was dessert... that was a shame. The food was really great.

Ate tapas via social deal. Very tasty, good quantities and, above all, cheerful service (I think the owner) who really radiated pleasure in his work.

Vriendelijk ontvangst, heerlijke tapas. Veel verschillende smaaksensatie. De wijn was heerlijk. Ook deaankleding van de zaak sfeervol en gezellig.

Wonderfully given! We had a 6 course choice dinner. (pork belly, carpaccio roll, soup of the day, salmon, sirloin steak and tiramisu) The service was great! We come back! 😊🤌

Heel erg lekker en leuk personeel.

Lekker gegeten daar, goede bediening en vriendelijke bediening

6 gangen menu besteld, viel qua smaak tegen. Menu 68,50 per persoon. Geen volgende ronde voor ons.

Matig tot okay eten; vooraf was heerlijk maar hoofdgerecht was matig, lamskoteletten te weinig (2x) en entrecote te dun zodat deze niet medium gebakken was. De kogelbiefstuk is prima. 210 euro voor 3 pers. te duur voor de kwaliteit. Aardige bediening.

Een zeer leuke plek met zeer goeie bediening ik vond wel dat bij eten wat salade had gekund en vlees iest beter kwaliteit had mogen zijn maar zeker moeiten waard om keer te reserveren

We had an absolutely lovely evening. We made use of a special offer for a six course tasting menu. We ate very well, good products, a variety of tastes, not too expensive wines, very friendly service. To be recommended!

Komt niet vaak voor,...3x 5sterren ...Natuurlijk is persoonlijke ervaring , maar heerlijk culinair avondje gehad met 6 gangen gerechtjes dineetje, alles klopte: verwachting prijs -kwaliteit, keuze uit de gerechtjes prima, perfect klaargemaakt, bijpassende wijntjes en open, plezierige bediening in sfeervolle bistro omgeving.. Kortom ....verborgen pareltje...dus eigenlijk moet ik deze review niet schrijven. Kom zeker nog keertje terug...met kennissen...ff kijken wat de kaart tzt brengt.Aanrader! .

Met zijn vieren maandag 2 april heerlijk gegeten. De sfeer is goed. Prima bediening en het eten is fantastisch. Een echte aanrader.

Een restaurant waar wij zeker terugkomen door fantastische eten en prettige bediening.

Bistro! Lekker, gezellig, goed gastheerschap, Waldorf en Stadler in de keuken, kortom: af!

Stukje Frankrijk in Doesburg centrum. Gastvrij ontvangen, kleine verrassing om te starten. Heerlijk vlees, lekkere wijn en ter afronding een kaasplankje. Alles geserveerd door een gastheer die zijn vak verstaat. Prijs/kwaliteit eten is t waard. Wijntjes erg aan de prijs. Voor 2x kogelbiefstuk met rode wijnsaus, 1 kaasplankje, 1 koffie en 5 wijntjes betaalden wij 108,=.

Fijne en goede bistro met verstand van zaken. Lekker vlees een mooie porties. Goede gastheer en lekkere wijnen. Echt een franse bistro.

Een echte aanrader. Heerlijk eten in een prachtige ambiance en een gemoedelijke sfeer.
