The kitchen had made a mistake and served us pancakes instead of poffertjes. However, we were able to enjoy both the poffertjes and the pancake. Everything was delicious. It was a shame it was a bit colder on the terrace and that we couldn't sit inside because it was only for reservations.

The food is fantastic! But it's exactly what's on the menu, which is a bit of a shame. The service is absolutely terrible, I can't say anything else about it. They just take your plate away and ask if you enjoyed it? Like? Don't touch my quarter pancake without cheese!

Good relaxing and cosy place in heart of hulst. Few activities for children and can be explored for get togethers :)

We had a wonderful meal. The wild duck was superb, perfectly cooked and served with delicious winter vegetables. The presentation was beautiful, with a real eye for detail. We had a lovely atmosphere, and the staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back...

There were 5 adults and 3 kids. We were allowed to choose 4 different dishes from the menu (without kids). Some of this limited menu had already been sold out. And the sparkling water was gone! It was a Sunday evening. Drinks and dishes on the various menus were crossed out, out of date. Not what we're used to in old Hulst. The kids, on the other hand, had a great time, so that was a plus.

Disgraceful!!! We asked for a meat croquette and paid €19 because they charged for shrimp croquettes. Because meat croquettes weren't on the menu, they just charged for a shrimp croquette. A complete disgrace! And if you order a midday snack, which includes soup, fried eggs, and a meat croquette, you pay €12. Arrogance comes free.

The tomato soup with meatballs was soup without meatballs. The spaghetti not so bolognaise was actually spaghetti bolognaise and should normally contain all sorts of other ingredients such as pieces of bacon, chipolata,... which was not the case. The steak was served on an empty plate without anything with only a small bowl of salad. Too bad.

Upon entering, this restaurant in Hulst's old station hall has a charming and inviting atmosphere. There's also ample parking right next to the building. We walked in for lunch without a reservation. For gluten-free diners, the selection is unfortunately very limited. There was no gluten-free bread available, and the only options offered were carpaccio or a steak menu – not really suitable for a light lunch. There was also little consideration for alternatives. Luckily, I brought something myself, as I'd already anticipated this. My companions, on the other hand, had an excellent meal and enjoyed their dishes.

Delicious food and friendly service.

Upon entering, we weren't greeted, but practically attacked by a Belgian-speaking woman, asking how we even managed to get in through the wheelchair entrance! There wasn't a single person in a wheelchair or walker to be seen. When we asked, "Where does it say that's prohibited?" Where is the main entrance indicated? Very unprofessional, and I think they could really use every customer. The food was delicious.

It was on the expensive side, there wasn't much wine in the glass for the money.

We made reservations in advance for lunch. The staff were remarkably friendly. We didn't have to wait long for our food. I had the Pad Thai Scampi, which was delicious and a generous portion. We'll definitely be back.

Bad place. Very unfriendly. Wanting a drink when there's plenty of room, and you're simply turned away. But then people behind you ask the same question, and they're allowed to sit down for a drink. Absolutely disgraceful. They won't be seeing us there again.

Heerlijk 12 uurtje vis besteld voor € 19 . Ik heb genoten, vond het enkel jammer dat er tomatenroomsoep werd geserveerd. Had niets met vis te maken toch?

We waited for over half an hour. A lot of walking back and forth. I signaled to order after 20 minutes. They said they'd come right away. After another 15 minutes, we left. This place used to be much better.

There's no kitchen staff present in the morning, so there's nothing to really eat with coffee. There's only one serving staff who has to do everything.

Enjoyed a delicious meal in a cozy setting. The menu is rather limited, but the dishes were excellent. Friendly service and a nice playground for the children. Pleasant seating in the conservatory. Affordable and reasonably priced. Not top-notch, but simply good!

Delicious food, good service, not cheap

If you order a coke zero, you get a completely cracked glass with a piece of about 1 cm of chaudfontaine!!! Had to wait more than half an hour for our drink... I can't post a photo of the glass, too bad...

Food was good, only a pity about the offer, if you ask for extra fries they don't really want to hear you, you get it, I'll be right back, but we still have to come after a while, ordered ice cream, had to wait more than half an hour, asked again where it was, on the menu it says at Dame Blanche hot sauce, so not stone cold, we'll go somewhere else next time

Nice midday snack, in an atmospheric old tram station. Possibility to sit outside under the spacious canopy.

Een gezellige plek net buiten de binnenstad, waardoor je de auto gemakkelijk kan parkeren. Eten was prima. De witte huiswijn was top! Goede prijs/kwaliteitverhouding.

Seems not really prepared or low staff. Took 20 minutes to serve us, and when we asked about food we see on the Google reviews here, they say ‘sorry we don’t serve that, I think that might be a different place’. Very few food options available (just bar snacks) it seems, and only cheese as a vegetarian option

Lang moeten wachten op service. Mensen die later binnen lopen worden eerder geholpen. Apfelstrudel met thee besteld. Thee was heerlijk en hebben mooie selectie. Apfelstrudel ok maar niet echt warm.

Nice location, a bit cold inside. The food was a disappointment, the proportions were very strange, quite small portions for main courses, and bizarrely large portions for desserts. The meat was very tough in both the steak and the stew. Chicken satay was more sauce than meat and was also chewy. The service was very good and friendly, but something really needs to be done with the kitchen, because for the price they ask it is really not tailor-made.

Vandaag 10 januari 2025 openingsdag met nieuwe uitbaters die zeer veel horeca-ervaring uitstraalden. Alles verliep vloeiend en we hebben Genoten van een zalige lunch en prima bediening.

Lots of local customers on Friday evenings. We as non-local customers were helped well, but a little more contact would have been nice. The food was well taken care of, including the portioning.

Beautiful building, friendly staff. Limited menu. Had the round steak for 150 ge. If the piece reached 100 I would have been happy. My wife's beef stew was cooked too hard. Was a thick gelatinous cornstarch sauce. Shame

Heerlijk eten, vers, smakelijk, mooi opgediend. Fijne sfeer, vriendelijke bediening, comfortabele zitplekken. Ik had een courgette gevuld met couscous, beetje feta, witte wijnsaus, frites. Mijn partner een stoofpotje. Werkelijk geen minpuntje te vinden.

Quality food at very reasonable prices. Very large choice of beers. Large portions. Swift and friendly table service. Ideal to being kids, there's a big enclosed garden with playground. Big parking lot right across the street, free.

The location is nice but the outside area needs some maintenance. The fries weren't that tasty. A lot of staff, unfortunately a bit untrained

I’ve been visiting the place few times already. Nice location, big garden, playground… but the food became worse lately. Today I got an alterated piece of chicken… looked bad and was sour.. I guess knowing to cook is not a must when you get hired there 🤷🏽‍♀️ The food is dragging that place down..to bad

Drinks are very expensive. Terrace is very nice, but view is much less. Back of the local brewery with beer crates. Been waiting 20 minutes for a portion of fries now. And there aren't that many eating customers. Fortunately, the fries were not included in the bill. But not a single apology was given.

Eten ging wel, bediening was slecht. Eerst al een tafeltje toegewezen gekregen naast een stel wat zat te roken (!) Toen gaan verzitten en toen werd ons hondje aangevallen door een andere veel grotere hond. Geen excuus vd eigenaar. Het aangegeven bij de bediening dat dit al de tweede keer was in een half uur tijd maar ze waren niet van plan om hier iets aan te doen. Ik vind het een tokkie plek. In Hulst zijn betere restaurants te vinden.

Food was tasty but was all overcooked. Steak was very à point even though it was ordered rare (waiter didn't know what medium rare is either). Two different fish dishes and both overcooked. Friendly service and a nice room to eat.

Nice place for a snack and a drink... On the lower terrace there are sofas and a covered lounge. You must order drinks and food downstairs with a QR code and pay immediately. You can simply order from the waiter upstairs. Friendly staff and a nice paradise for the kiddos.

Het eten was erg lekker, voldoende keuze. Het wisselende vegetarische gerecht was ook top! Bediening was vriendelijk,snel en had goede wijn kennis!

C’est toujours un plaisir de retourner à Hulst pour passer un chouette moment. Les brasseries et restaurants sont tous top. La cuisine de celui ci est franchement correcte. Les assiettes sont très bien garnies et copieuses. Les prix sont vraiment très abordables pour l’endroit. Le personnel est très sympathique et chaleureux.

Brasserie Oud Hulst is a great discovery, beautiful building, very nice location, incredibly friendly staff! We went for the Beef Steak & the XXL Hamburger with delicious fries! We both finished with the delicious chocolate mousse... Recommended!

Het bier IPA gedronken . Als verzamelaar vroeg ik om een glas van dit merk te KOPEN en dus niet te STELEN.... Kon niet van de eigenaar ....Hij zei dat hij maar een beperkt aantal krijgt ... En brouwerij ligt naast zijn zaak .

Het was alweer lang geleden dat we in Hulst waren, mijn moeder en ik. Maar ik had breiwol nodig, dus trokken we naar de Action. Omdat het net middag was en onze maag knorde, liepen we binnen bij Brasserie Oud Hulst. Ik had heerlijke kaaskroketten en mama nam een croque madame op bruin brood. Een scherper mes was handiger geweest voor haar, maar dat is ook de enige opmerking die we hebben. Vlotte en vriendelijke bediening. Wij komen zeker terug.

Bier met de naam paix dieu (gods vrede) wat dan ook nog eens veels te lekker is en een betaalbare zak friet die ook al veel te lekker is. Op zo'n manier blijf je toch terug komen. Kinderen kunnen buiten spelen op het luchtkussen en dan ook nog een betaalbaar menu. Gewoon helemaal Top.

Prima eten. Goede gerechten vol smaak. Het personeel mag wat meer aandacht aan de gasten schenken. Vraag om een 2e drankje en als het hoofdgerecht op is, ruim dan even de hele tafel af (bestek en lege flessen en glazen) en niet alleen de borden. Sfeervol gebouw.

Toffe brasserie met een prachtig terras. Hun bierkaart is prachtig. Het is een bierboek Heel vriendelijk personeel en vlotte service zonder lange wachttijden. Wij komen hier telkens heel graag.

Super plaats om te verblijven prima eten maar bovenal uitstekende service 👌
