Brasserie 't Smokkelstrand in Wijk 01 Chaam

Fine place to eat. The lunch we ordered was tasty. We found the service less impressive: lacking enthusiasm, the food was only placed on the table half an hour (!) after ordering, no one came by to ask if everything was to our liking or if we wanted anything else to drink... In short: they could / should learn a thing or two about service....

It's a shame the opening hours on Google are incorrect and that you still can't get coffee at 11:45, fifteen minutes before opening. Getting out of here fast.

It's a very nice place to sit. What I really consider a plus is the kids' menu, and specifically the snack vegetables! I had a 1-year-old with me and that was just great! He could happily nibble on a cucumber or bell pepper while we enjoyed a nice lunch or dinner.

We received our food and were wished a pleasant meal. However, we hadn't even been given cutlery yet. When I asked for it, the waitress simply walked away, and we had to ask for it again inside. Unfortunately, the food itself was not of good quality either. The lettuce looked old and smelled musty. The "chef's tip rib roast" turned out not to be such a tip. There was at least 1.5 cm of rind on it, the meat was so tough that you couldn't cut through it with a knife, and inside near the bone it was simply still raw. That is absolutely unacceptable for pork. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she told us that this happened quite often. Frankly, I find that truly scandalous for a chef's tip. Not a success, and certainly not worth repeating.

After being really bad last time, significantly better now. Still not worth the detour, but who knows, maybe next time. Clear progress.

Been there 3 times I think it's cozy for a holiday park restaurant But wow, the service is sooooo slow. Even though it's super quiet. Those slow little snails are nice though, that's for sure.

We had a wonderful meal here. The daily special was spare ribs, and they were excellent. I had fish and chips, which were also excellent. It came with delicious fries. For dessert, we had ice cream, fruit with white chocolate, and a brownie cake with ice cream, caramel, and fudge cubes. Both were delicious. The price (just under €80) is quite reasonable for a restaurant in a park.

The (busy) campsite's brasserie, with plenty of outdoor tables, was nice and the weather was good. The food and service were excellent.

Outrageous.. We ordered for 12 people, the 13th wanted to add special to the frikandel. This was not possible. We politely asked if the manager could come over. The manager reacted outrageously. Acted as if she was the big boss and still no onions could be added from the adjacent snack bar. The manager came across as unfriendly. We will not be coming back. This was always possible before. Too bad.. We used to come every week. From now on, with the new manager, never again.

Very bad experience waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for the food. The child was already asleep when the poffertjes arrived, what was supposed to be a pleasant evening ended in a negative experience. Received a free drink, but you don't come for that and you don't buy it!!

Staff friendly. Good selection. Atmosphere is also very nice. But !!!!!! We only ordered drinks, which were all OK so far and the hammer came at the end. Suddenly there were many more drinks on the bill than were ordered. But the problem was solved after 15 minutes. Tip takes a screenshot of the order!!

Ate here during a stop on the cycle route Operation is neat and smooth Food not great. Snitzel was fried for too long and also very thin and unlike chicken. Therefore little taste The rest of the food was good and tasty. Well resolved by staff.

A restaurant, part of the RCN chain, in our opinion part of a campsite/holiday park... The restaurant looks neat. The staff are friendly and attentive. The toilet facilities are top notch. Nothing to complain about that. We were here in connection with the use of a 'main course' as part of a day of "Happen en Trappen". You cycle a route where you visit 5 restaurants and each time you eat something, first coffee, then a starter, soup, main course and finally dessert. In this case, the Brasserie provides the main course. According to the roue, the main course was scheduled for 4 p.m. A bit early, but that's your choice in this case. About 10 to 12 other groups also cycled this route with us and they all arrived at this Brasserie more or less at the same time. Apparently this was taken into account, because the main course (with a choice of 3 different ones) was served quickly. We opted for satay with lettuce and fries. Unfortunately the fries (delicious, but) were very greasy. The lettuce was not fresh. Multiple brown edges. So I left this one behind. The satay skewer was nice, but the satay sauce was not warm, looked like it had been sitting there for quite some time before being served. Overall, not great. Shame. A missed opportunity. We will not visit this otherwise excellent Brasserie again. By the way, it was a beautiful sunny day. There were many people with children who enjoyed the surroundings and played in the lake. The brier was OK, so after dinner back on the bike, on the way to dessert.

Beautiful park. Enjoyed. Floral splendor is varied. What detracts are the catering prices at the park. The prices for drinks are excessively high. 1 scoop of ice cream is 3.55 euros. Bowl of not ripe strawberries bottle of water 9 euros. That is certainly not customer friendly.

Very good dinner last night! Super tasty salmon salad and delicious sweet potato fries with parmesan, spring onions and truffle mayo. Also a nice coffee with Licor 43 afterwards with plenty of whipped cream! Nice, attentive service, plenty of vegetarian options & excellent price/quality ratio, worth repeating!!!

Heerlijk diner met goede service

Dit is op RCN de Flaasbloem in Chaam. Waar je heerlijk kunt genieten van de omgeving maar ook van het eten en drinken.

Een gezellige plek om buiten op het terras een drankje te nemen of een hapje te doen.

We visited a few times, once for a big family get together and a few times for drinks while at de flaasbloem. My partner loved the great selection of local beers from Chaam and is raving about the delicious bitterballen.

lunch stelt veel minder voor dan 2 jaar geleden toen had je redelijk veel nu redelijk weinig voor meer geld . Ook was er meer keus maar ja het is wel gezellig en het personeel is heel leuk en vriendelijk.

Het geheel viel tegen. Ik heb hier vorig jaar stukken beter gegeten. De haricoverts waren koud en te weinig. De wiener schnitsel van mijn vriendin was niet origineel. Geen reden om hiervoor terug te komen !!

Het eten was verrassend goed. De sfeer was wat druk want er was een feestje. Wel heel vriendelijk personeel.

Samen met een vriendin en mijn man gegeten. Echt een restaurant, zoals dat hoort te zijn. Bediening vriendelijk en ook vragen of ze al mogen opdienen. Daarnaast was het eten heel erg goed en veel. Ik haalde het toetje niet. Lekker koffie genomen en ook hier werd weer gevraagd of ik die wilde nuttigen bij het dessert van de anderen. We hadden spareribs, schnitzel en zalm. Het was allemaal even lekker. Volgende maand gaan we weer terug. Mijn man wil de kipsate proberen.

Prima eten, kindvriendelijk, goed en vriendelijk personeel, sfeer is ok en kan beter.

Voor kinderen is er vanalles te doen. Zelfst nu in de winterperiode. Knutselochtend, schatgraven, zwemmen, met het treintje. Heel leuk. Het personeel deed hun werk goed, en waren ook heel vriendelijk. Ivm een ongelukje van mijn kleindochtertje vroeg ik voor een icepack voor haar voetje. Dat was niet aanwezig, maar ik kreeg wel direct een theedoek met veel ijsklontjes er in. Helemaal top. Klein minpuntje,.. in de niet geasfalteerde weggetjes langs de huisjes zaten veel kuilen. Met de auto lastig, maar voor rolstoelen is dat helemaal vervelend. 's Avonds kon je ook heel lastig terug naar je huisje omdat er geen verlichting lang de weg was. Lang leve de gsm. Daar zit een lampje in. Zou geen overbodige luxe zijn om hier en daar een lampje te plaatsen.

Broodjes zijn zoals de foto's. Alles word ter plekke vers gemaakt. Eten is vers, sausjes zijn lekker. Iedere keer weer zijn de broodjes verrukkelijk. Vrie dlijk personeel.

Van alles te doen. Overdag (in het laagseizoen) activiteiten voor de kinderen en 's avonds gezellige mensen die breien, haken, borduren enz. Kortom, het centrum van dit vakantiepark.
