Very beautiful location. Unfortunately, both pancakes were not fully cooked. Ginger tea with only one small piece of ginger. The price on the bill did not match the price on the menu.

Super cozy, service so friendly and attentive…. You don't see that very often anymore. The food was delicious!!!! The dog at the table next to us got water and a cookie immediately upon arrival ❤️ We aren't from the neighborhood but will definitely be back.

We started with coffee and apple pie at Huis ten Bosch Chaam, walked 12 kilometers along the beautiful (and bone-dry!) ​​Smugglers' Route between centuries-old oaks, and halfway through settled down in the late summer sun on the terrace of Grand Café Fabels for a delicious soup. We ended the day feeling satisfied with the main course in Chaam. Really good food, no mud on our shoes, and plenty of Brabant hospitality! Cozy family restaurant and pancake house. Nice atmosphere, decor geared towards children, but adults will also be amazed. It is very unfortunate, and certainly outdated, that the interns and temps have a button on their blouses that says: "trainee hostess". It is so unnecessary to label those nice, enthusiastic girls like that.

We picked a restaurant by chance while driving back from Roosendaal. We enjoyed a delicious pancake on the terrace in the sunshine. One to remember. Nice service!

Absolutely fantastic, very cozy and exceptionally friendly and delicious food prepared with care

The young waitress was really sweet and quick. She even brought water for the dog as soon as she arrived. All the food was delicious. The owner was a bit rigid, saying we had reserved "coffee and cake" for 11 a.m., so we weren't offered the option of a sausage roll, for example. We had only reserved for a group and "coffee," so it was a bit of a shame that "apple pie" was the only option, as it hadn't been mentioned in the reservation. When we returned from our walk, the young waitress was quick and attentive, and the food was delicious.

What a beautiful place! The atmosphere is cozy and warm. They have a very extensive menu, and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! We had carpaccio as a starter, and the bread with herb butter and aioli was delicious. Then, for the main course, we had the beef stew and the delicious veal schnitzel, which was outstanding! We'll be back for the dessert menu. In short, a very good restaurant with efficient and friendly staff!

The food here is very pleasant and enjoyable. We recently went here for dinner when our 10-month-old daughter suddenly started vomiting. The staff were incredibly helpful, kind, and compassionate. We even got a stuffed animal for her. Thank you!

Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience. The pancakes tasted slightly burnt, the shrimp salad was passable (not the best), but the veal schnitzel was truly awful. The fries were almost burnt and full of grease. You could just squeeze the grease out. They seemed like leftovers and had been refried several times. I left after two bites. I didn't want anything else because I was so disappointed. After the staff asked how the food was, they explained everything and discussed the price. In the end, we didn't have to pay for the veal schnitzel. It was a good solution, but it was a negative experience. I think the dish should never have been served like that, and I'm not a picky eater. This has never happened to me before. The decor is quite pleasant, and they've especially catered to children. That was really nice.

The ambiance is a 10+, but making pancakes wasn't really a success. And it's so hot in there that you won't feel well.

Besides providing delicious food, they're also very caring. Our son ate something he thought contained hazelnuts, which he's allergic to. They were already caring during dinner, but after dinner, I received a call at home. They'd checked the packaging and found no hazelnuts. A small effort, but a huge relief. Truly wonderful.

We stopped by along our cycling trip to chaam. It is a very beautiful family run restaurant with very nice interiors decorated with old coffe and tee pots. The service was amazing, with very friendly staff and quick service. We had some crepes and they are super delicious. They have the variety of choices and the savoury ones are my favorite for sure. The vibe is very cozy and family friendly as well. They also have very beautiful outdoor terrace where we sat down, given nice weather.

The 2025 Pancake Crawl! We stopped by this pancake house on our hike, and what fantastic pancakes they have! Beautifully baked, full of flavor, and with all the toppings you could wish for. The absolute best in Breda and the surrounding area. Enjoy!

Surprise, along a busy road! Inside, it feels like stepping back in time. Clean and fast service. A reasonably sunny terrace with a playground. I wasn't so impressed with the food! The pancake with syrup was pricey and tasted a bit like yeast/flour. Later that day, I tried again for a grilled cheese sandwich. It was barely toasted. €1 for mayo with it, over the top! In short, a nice place to stop in a beautiful and surprising hiking and cycling area!

What is it with restaurants? You can't order a glass of water, but you have to order a €3 bottle of Chaudfontaine instead? And yet, you're eating for €50. And they just put a bowl of water out for the dog. So, the dog can drink tap water, but my husband can't. The food itself was fine, nothing special. The portion of poffertjes was very small, but they were tasty.

The food is good. The location is great. The service is good.

We were here through the "Hop en Trappe Concept" (Hop and Trap)...the onion soup was delicious. I found the beer (La Trappe Trippel) a bit weak (not the establishment's fault). Friendly staff and a very pleasant atmosphere.

What a lovely restaurant this is. You really feel like you're in a fairytale world. You'll find things from fairytales, though they have their own theme, but also things from the world. There are charming corners, but everywhere you feel at home and breathe in the atmosphere. These days, you see more and more sterile pancake restaurants, and this one takes you back to your grandmother's time. I was there just as it opened, so I had the chance to take some great photos. Along the road to Baarle-Nassau, I would definitely stop for a beer or a pancake... or just to soak up the atmosphere, because there's more than enough of that.

This family-friendly restaurant boasts a warm and original decor, with plenty of games to keep the kids entertained. Everywhere you look, there's something to see. The terrace also opens onto a small playground when the weather permits. However, as this restaurant is a victim of its own success, it's strongly recommended to make a reservation, especially if you're looking for a table late in the day.

The food was nice, but for that price I expect a pancake that is well topped and not with a few measly slices of bacon, smoked sausage and something else.

This restaurant was part of our Happen & Stappen tour. The restaurant itself was cute. It seemed like the perfect spot for a glass of beer/wine on a sunny afternoon. As part of our Happen & Stappen tour, we first had coffee/tea with apple pie. The apple pie was by Ouwe Taart. For every apple pie sold, Ouwe Taart donates €€ to Stichting Met Je Hart; a foundation committed to alleviating loneliness among the elderly. I liked the story behind the apple pie, but I did not like the actual apple pie. It was not filled very well. The filling was too mushy. And, the crust was not tender and flaky. After our 12 km walk, we returned to this restaurant for our main course. The main course was pinsa. Two options: with ham or without ham. I did not like the pinsa. It was nothing like an Italian pinsa. The bread was good. I do not think they made it from scratch. The toppings were bad. The toppings used belonged on a flammkuchen; not a pinsa. They used cream cheese, diced onion, canned mushroom, sliced tomato and liquid cheddar. The onion, canned mushroom and tomato were uncooked and had not even been heated up properly. The cheddar was a cheese sauce, which barely tasted like cheese. The younger woman who served us was friendly and helpful.

Very happy with this pancake house. Friendly service. Delicious pancakes. They think along carefully about lactose intolerance. We are now regular visitors. Also great for children, both indoors and outdoors.

I can't understand why they dare to call this a family restaurant. I have never experienced such child-unfriendly service and owner. After our children were a bit busy, we were asked to leave while we were the only customers. You cannot call the playground a playground. Never go there!

Amazing place, super friendly and patient staff. It's a wonderful restaurant where families can spend time playing with board games available in a corner. The pancakes are very good (also lactose and gluten free options). Highly recommended!

We came here because this restaurant was the starting point of our day of 'Eating and Stairs'. Cycling a route and visiting 5 restaurants. Starting with coffee and cake, followed by a starter, followed by a restaurant with soup, then one with a main course and finally one with a dessert. Huis ten Bosch was the day opener. You leave your car there in an excellent, free, safe parking lot. You report to the restaurant and the day starts there. The HtB employee welcomed us as real guests with personal attention. We had delicious coffee and a fresh apple pie with whipped cream there. Perfect. The restaurant and terrace are pleasantly decorated, a real family restaurant where families with children are very welcome and can enjoy delicious pancakes, for example. After the warm welcome we started our cycling day, immediately with the plan to have a 'capture' on our return. Around 6 p.m. the day was over and we returned to the terrace for a beer. The same hostess saw us arrive, recognized us immediately, asked how the day had been and offered us a nice spot on the terrace. You SOOO want to be welcomed as a guest. Perfect hospitality in a nice family restaurant. I can really recommend this 100% to family and friends and we will definitely visit there again when we are in the area.

It is a mystery to read that the terrace is in 6th place in the Netherlands 🤔 so close to a busy provincial road... while this terrace has been rewarded this year with a sixth place by the 'mystery visitors' of Misset Horeca in the national Terrace Top 100. How much does such a top listing cost Misset Horeca, so a miss. 🙄

Unfortunately, the delicious steak [(which my partner had received) turned out to be a piece of rubber (oh and it was not a piece of sinew as the chef claimed, the steak was simply not good) I also tried to cut off a number of pieces of it, but Even the knife couldn't get through properly... the appetite was gone after that, unfortunately we had to pay the full price... no, that was also the last time we eat there... Our neighbor already had half a raw pancake (wasn't really a success) Price and quality are miles apart
