A beautiful shop where quality is paramount. Seasonal treats are available. There's a self-service section where you can relax with a cup of coffee and, of course, something delicious from the bakery. Highly recommended.

The pudding roll looked like it had come straight from the freezer. It was a bit dry, but the filling tasted good.

I was looking for a bakery in Paterswolde, and Google led me to Dunnewind. It's a beautiful shop, but the two sales assistants weren't exactly enthusiastic (it was 8:15 a.m.), and they still had all day to work. No greeting in the early morning; everything went grudgingly. The phone kept ringing and no one answered, and the shop wasn't that busy yet. It's not a cheap shop, so a few friendlier employees wouldn't hurt. After paying, they didn't even say "have a good day" or "have a nice weekend"... such a shame. Kindness doesn't cost a thing.

Bakery with a wide range of tasty things.

Great website. But keep it updated. We were met with a closed door this morning. There was no mention of a four-week vacation on the website. A bit sad.

Once again I was standing there with great annoyance while the staff was having lunch at a table in the back. That you let me wait, fine but there were also people who were much older than I am. I think that is super bad service.

Delicious pastries, bread is reasonable and very thickly sliced. Normally 2 slices of bread is now 1 slice of bread as thick. Could be thinner.

Great bakery, for me especially for the breads and the (hard) small bread. Truly old Dutch and delicious in taste. I drive around from Haren to get bread here. The pastries are also super tasty and old Dutch. This is why you go to a bakery. You can also come here for something to eat and drink on site.

Zwaar teleurstellend. Wij stapten rond twee uur de zaak binnen voor een lunch, namen plaats, bekeken de kaart en maakten een keuze. Achter de toonbank waren er vier medewerkers en de zaak was op een enkele klant na leeg. Na pakweg 10 minuten zelf maar naar de toonbank gelopen om te bestellen. Wat wij hadden gekozen kon echter niet meer want lunch was tot 14 uur. Dit staat echter nergens vermeld en bovendien wanneer men ons niet eerst een tijdje had laten wachten...en fin, om 14.14 kregen wij onze uit armoede maar gekozen kant en klare broodjes, die dan nog wel konden, heerlijk opgewarmd in de magnetron. Hier komen wij niet weer.

Today we drove around a bit to buy bread etc. at this bakery. The crowds in the store weren't too bad and with 3 female (friendly) staff behind the counter, your turn was quick. The rye bread is highly recommended, super tasty! Parking is partly in front of the door and otherwise across the street at the health center, at least during the weekend. During the week they are not happy about it and understandably so.

Nice bakery, lots of choice, but the Vikorn remains a favorite.

Heerlijk brood, zowel spelt als ruwe bolster zijn onze favorieten. En natuurlijk komen we hier voor ons gebak.

Prima Bakker, wordt snel geholpen.

Kwaliteit van het gebak is wel eens véél beter geweest. Mokka gebak hoort banketbakkersroom tussen te zitten. Wat er nu tussen gesmeerd wordt??? Deden wij vroeger in de banketbakkerij toch anders ( En bakker Dunnewind ook) . Werd geleerd drie lagen = 2 x vulling. 1 x jam. 1 x banketbakkersroom. De gehele zijkant afwerken met amandelschaafsel. Dat het gebak kleiner is geworden kan dat ook met de zorg voor de gezondheid te maken hebben, is onze vraag??

Lekker buiten onze broodjes gegeten. Aardig personeel, wat speciaal nog even de tafel droog maakte en de stoelen losmaakte (we waren erg vroeg).

Al sinds ik naar de Mavo in Eelde ging, kwam ik bij Bakkerij Dunnewind. Ook nu ik in Gieten woon en in de buurt ben koop ik er nog even een broodje gezond en natturlijk een puddingbroodje
