I am writing from Kolkata, India, very close to the Missionaries of Charity and Mother Teresa House, and I must say — I absolutely love these biscuits! ❤️ They hold such wonderful memories of our childhood. I remember the Nuns distributing these biscuits among the needy people around their Mission, and because of the little holes in them, we always knew them as “Dot Biscuits.” We had friends and house helps who would receive these biscuits and share them with us. We would actually look forward to them bringing the biscuits home, just so we could get one precious piece of the biscuit! Sometimes buy them for a big amount. For years, I always wondered where these biscuits came from. As children, we imagined all sorts of things — even thinking that perhaps the Nuns were specially baking them for everyone at the Mission. The biscuits would come in a simple silver packet without any printed information, so I never really knew where they were made or who manufactured them. This time, however, I noticed a location printed on the packet. I was instantly curious and Google-scanned/searched the location to find out more, and that is how I ended up discovering this page. After so many years, I’ve finally managed to have them again. The taste is a little different from what I remember, and I noticed that the biscuit, which I remember as being square, is now rectangular. But despite those changes, it brought back such beautiful childhood memories. I would genuinely love to know the history and original recipe of these biscuits. How were they made and how did they come to be distributed around I would be so grateful if someone from the factory could share a little of their story — and perhaps even the recipe! 😊 And one heartfelt request: please consider making these biscuits available in stores across India. There must be so many people who grew up eating them and would love to experience that familiar taste and nostalgia again. Thank you for preserving a little piece of our childhood. ❤️

A very good bakery. The bread is truly fantastic. If you're there for bread, always pick up some goodies. Highly recommended if you want truly good bread.

Quality is fine, but very much of the same.

Bread is getting more and more expensive. The pastries aren't fresh the same day. The apple triangles are semi-finished.

Situation I would like to share my experience regarding this bakery, as I have been dealing with this issue for quite some time. I regularly pick up bread for my seriously ill neighbor, who is known to the saleswomen. Last week, I was unable to go myself, so a friend did it for me. He bought two loaves of brown bread at €3.49 each, totaling €6.98. After he had paid, he asked if he could get a savings coin, because the bread was for my sick neighbor. Incidents The dark-haired saleswoman replied that a savings coin is only given for purchases starting from €7.00. My friend indicated that he found it very childish to make a difference of two cents. There was no response to this. The strange thing is that there are no products for sale in the store costing just a few cents, meaning you always have to spend at least about €1.50 extra to still reach the €7.00 mark. Yesterday, I went to pick up bread myself again and asked why my friend hadn't received a savings coin. Another saleswoman, who was not present last time, said that the purchase amount was €6.68. That is incorrect; the amount was €6.98. She also indicated that a loyalty token is only given for purchases starting from €7.00. I then wanted to explain that I had had a different experience previously. Some time ago, a saleswoman unknown to me charged €8.35 for 2.5 loaves of bread, whereas before and after that I had always paid €8.00 for the same order. When I asked if the price had increased, she said that the price had remained the same. In hindsight, it appeared that I had paid €0.35 too much at the time. I wanted to mention this as an example of the importance of fair and consistent treatment, but I was not given the chance to finish my story. Communication During the conversation, the saleswoman kept interrupting me and raising her voice. By then, several customers had entered, making me feel very uncomfortable. The other saleswoman stood up for her colleague, which made me feel like I was not being taken seriously. Afterwards, I bought two loaves of bread for my neighbor and one loaf for €1.50 for myself. This brought my total purchase well over €8.00. Yet, I did not receive a savings coin or a paper bread bag, even though I normally receive these with purchases above that amount. When paying, the saleswoman placed my change on the counter with the words: “Here is your money.” Normally, the change is handed directly to me. I then stated that I found her manner of communicating impolite and that I would write a review about it. Her response was: “Go ahead.” Request For me, this complaint is not about a single savings coin or a two-cent difference. It is about honesty, consistent application of rules, and above all, respectful communication with customers. Precisely because I am picking up the bread for a seriously ill neighbor, and because the saleswoman has known about this for some time, I had hoped for a bit more understanding and customer friendliness. I hope that attention will be paid to the way customers are treated and that rules are applied in a clear and fair manner.
