Great food, really nice staff. You can tell that the manager has a good heart for his staff. Heard recently that they might go to Disney with the tip money. So I also made a big contribution to this. I wish these people so much good!

B&D is always good :-) Leeuwarden has a beautiful spacious B&D with a terrace. And in addition to the menu, there are also many specials. Definitely go once!

Cozy place with relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and nice interior. Very nice that we were able to order from the breakfast menu just after 11:30 am. We really enjoyed both the croissant with avocado and egg and the French toast. Nice that the hot drinks are served on a board with a delicious piece of cake. The plain brownie was delicious. Enough choice if you want tea and the coffee (which is served with a small glass of water) is also very good.

Great place. We opted for a large lunch board and certainly don't regret it. Lots of good and fun presentations. Nice mix of service and it runs like clockwork!

Celebrated my 50th birthday today at Brownies and Downies. What a party!! Great location in the large living room, lots of space and light, good contact for consultation in advance, delicious snacks and drinks and top service, especially by Jelmer(1), Compliments to chef Jelmer(2) would recommend it to anyone who wants to celebrate their birthday carefree and in a small-scale, intimate way. Was already a loyal guest, but this party makes me come back to you again! Thank you so much guys!!!

In the last warm rays of sunshine on November 1st, I am sitting on the terrace of downieS and Brownies in Leeuwarden. I cycled a long way. Fancy soup and a hot Latte. Delicious with bread (thick brown slices) with spread, latte with whipped cream and a delicious cookie. Cheerful service! Perfect.

Celebrated my birthday with a lunch for 20 people, in a cozy room upstairs. Everything was cheerfully decorated and the tables were positioned as agreed, a nice homely atmosphere. Excellent coffee, tea, juices, delicious brownies. Delicious sandwiches, and especially the pancakes received many compliments. We had a very nice afternoon and had a drink with the last guests. It's nice to have a space for yourself, very relaxed. The price/quality ratio is excellent. We will definitely come back to you!

It was the first time we had lunch at Brownies and Downies with 10 people. I thought it was very nice to see that the Downies were involved in the service, etc. I thought the tables were a bit narrow to have lunch with so many people, and it's a pity that if you order a lunch platter for two people, you have to join two others and receives a lunch platter for four people. I found the environment around it very pleasant, the food was excellent. The Downies? it's great that they are involved in everything. Definitely worth repeating. 😀

Just the right thing in today's bad weather. Very comfortably furnished and warm hosts. A nice concept for inclusion. The brownies and blondies were a bit too sweet for us, but the coffee was very tasty. We'd love to come back!

Brownies and Downies is a nice concept. It's a simple concept; you can get a cup of coffee with a brownie. The ministry is done by people with Down syndrome. The service is doing well and it is nice that these people get a chance. The brownies are also simply delicious.

I enjoyed a Red Velvet brownie and my wife enjoyed a stroopwafel brownie. It was more of a butter cookie than a brownie, so it was great for us! Cozy, accessible atmosphere. Enjoyed the cheerful interaction and boldness of the service!

A pleasant atmosphere and of course a high degree of sympathy because of the collaboration. Still, four cold croquettes in the middle and sand in the salad are not positive experiences... the service was good but the food hmmm is not really restaurant quality... and people will say, yes but they try their best, and I say Still, that's no excuse. And the absolute killer in every café is half-cooked food and sand in the salad.

I was looking for a quiet place to type my report and I certainly found it here! Good coffee, tasty lunch and service that has a chat and motivates you. When it became a bit busier during lunch hour, I was given the tip to sit upstairs for peace and focus! Perfect service.

Very good staff, if there are events in the city you sometimes have to wait a little longer for your order, but they will tell you this in advance :)

Went today for the first time. The chicken was old and dry and was unfortunately inedible. Never again for us. It's nice that it exists, but oh well. Not to be repeated.

Delicious food and top service! We sat upstairs, it was chilly there. The edges of the tables are coming loose on several tables, which is a bit untidy and a high table wobbles a lot.

On my birthday I received a gift from my partner to eat a HIGH WINE with brownies & downies. We had been given a perfect table with a nice view and we could see the entire space. nice atmosphere. Service was very nice and the food arrived on time. We really liked the staff at Brownies & Downies. But my biggest compliment goes to the chef Jelmer, very attentive and brought our food to the table himself. And everything we ate was super tasty, I could taste everything. It was so delicious that I will definitely go again. This restaurant gets a solid 5 stars from me.

Had lunch today at brownies and downies. Delicious food, many vegetarian or vegan options. There was also more than enough choice and good portions for the children. Excellent price / quality ratio. And the service was also great! :-)

Nice people who do their job well and respect each other. These people have Down syndrome and it is wonderful to see that they can also do their work normally and safely. The atmosphere is also very quiet and calm, they have a good range of food and drinks. Furthermore, the prices are also excellent in my experience Top cafe

Vriendelijk geholpen. Het was druk beneden dus we mochten boven zitten. We hadden een smoothie aardbei banaan, heel lekker! Broodje carpaccio, ook lekker en een beetje anders dan anders! En daarna nog een brownie proeverij voor 1 persoon. Krijgt echt wel waar voor je geld.

Afgelopen zaterdag heerlijk genoten van een 3 gangen menu. Voortreffelijke dinerkaart. Mooie gepresenteerde gerechten . Verschillende smaaksensaties op een bord , waardoor we werden verrast., gezellige en vriendelijke bediening. Fijn buitenterras met uitzicht op de brug en park. Ga zo door!

Vandaag 7 brownies afgehaald. Iedereen vond het erg lekker. Ik kom hier regelmatig. Gezellig en goede prijs/kwaliteit verhouding.

Vandaag koffietje gedronken op het terras van de Brownies & Downies. Ik had een cappuccino met havermelk die boven verwachting was. De koffie smaakte echt heel goed, wat sterker en romiger dan ik gewend ben. We zaten lekker droog op het overdekte terras. Sfeer was gezellig. Vond alleen de muziek soms wat te hard staan. Binnen kan je kaartjes kopen, spelletjes spelen, boeken lezen en boven kan je rustig zitten om te werken/ studeren. Personeel was vriendelijk en goed gehumeurd. Ik zou graag nog eens terugkomen voor een lunch, ik zag namelijk dat er veel gezonde/ vega/ vegan menuopties zijn.

We hebben een babyshower gehad van een nichtje. Het duurde enorm lang citaat we het eerste gerechtje kregen. Het was niet slecht maar je moet houden van de smaken van de hapjes. Sommige dingen erg lekker en andere vond ik niks aan. Dit zal liggen aan wat jezelf lekker vind. Geef mij maar een gewone high tea. Bij thuiskomst eerst nog naar een patatje gegeten

Wir waren auf der Suche nach einem Lokal um einen kleine Stop zu machen und um etwas leckeres zu essen. Bei der Googlesuche ist Brownies&Downies vorgeschlagen wurden. Es ist ein tolles Lokal und das Essen ist nur sehr schön angerichtet sondern auch super lecker. Das Team ist super nett und die Inklusion funktioniert mega gut.Macht bitte weiter so!

Vandaag gegeten bij downies & brownies, erg leuk aangekleed en behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel! We moesten helaas door de drukte wel erg lang wachten op ons eten, maar dat werd netjes gecompenseerd door drankjes van het huis. Kwalitatief een aanrader voor een lekkere lunch! Tot de volgende keer!

We kwamen hier vooral door het concept van de zaak, maar zouden terugkeren voor de ervaring. Wat een lekkere brownies!!! En heel schappelijk van prijs. Ook de bestellingen van de tafeltjes rond ons zagen er heel erg lekker uit: slaatjes (al is dat verkleinwoord niet op z'n plaats), pannenkoeken, broodjes, ... . We hadden het geluk dat er iemand live piano aan het spelen was, wat alleen maar bijdroeg aan de gezellige sfeer. Zeker een aanrader!
