We come here regularly. And always get the 12-hour meal: fried eggs and croquettes on bread with a delicious soup. It's a beautiful restaurant inside, and when the weather's nice, it's lovely outside on the terrace. The brownies are addictively delicious. We really come here to enjoy ourselves!

Had a lovely high tea! Lots of choice and it tastes good. You really get value for your money. Nice setting too and friendly staff.

Well, I just think it's too expensive, but that's subjective. A carpaccio sandwich with rock-hard pieces of pre-fried bacon (like the ones you buy in the supermarket) doesn't really make sense....

Met een vriendin hier genoten van een overheerlijke lunchplank. Een locatie waar ze weten wat klantvriendelijkheid is, waar het eten heerlijk smaakt, men hygiënisch werkt en toiletten schoon zijn. Kortom: als we nog een keer in Almelo gaan lunchen, hoeven we niet meer te zoeken naar een goede lunchplek.

Requested in advance for a nut-free high tea due to nut allergies. When we arrive, we are given a board with almonds and pistachios on it. Even the staff said in advance that everything was nut-free and I could eat everything. That wasn't the case, I had to find out for myself. Not even an apology, the solution was also our own responsibility. Thank you for making this could easily have been my last high tea, Brownies and Downies.

I felt like having a salmon sandwich, so I thought I'd go to Brownies&downieS. This became a bagel. The plate was beautifully laid out, there was nothing wrong with that, but when I opened the bagel I had to look for the salmon (shreds??!). One tablespoon at most. Taste of garnish was fine, but otherwise disappointing! And that for € 11.50!! Don't know if I'll come back again.

Super good service who comes several times to ask if everything is to your liking. Large portions of food and neatly laid out plates. Thanks to the special ceiling, you will not be bothered by the conversations at the tables around you.

Delicious lemon cheesecake! Good coffee, served as a party, nice and friendly employees. Chairs on the terrace that are comfortable. Everything looks clean, neat and tidy. Nice location also close to the market. Definitely worth visiting again!

It's a fantastic place. As the name of this restaurant suggests: Downie is home to people with Down Syndrome among the people who work there. They are fantastic people, who receive a lot of affection from those who work there and from the customers themselves.

Have eaten several times and it never disappoints. The brownies and blondies next to the coffee are definitely recommended. The coffee alone is the best I've ever had. Definitely a place to go to. Lunch is also something I would prefer to have every day at school and work, another reason to go here

I've now been there once for breakfast, once for lunch and once for coffee and a brownie. The service and drinks are good. The pancakes with topping, brownies and lunch should be better for these prices. Especially if you have been to other branches, you expect higher quality.

Good food, pancakes a bit simple from a packet. Chicken in the salad was wonderfully tender and seasoned.

Super nice tent in the city center of Almelo. A cozy interior with warm colors and an open kitchen. The food is very tasty and the brownies are freshly prepared. Nice staff and excellent service. The only downside is the amount of whipped cream, for 70 cents I would have expected a little more whipped cream.

We received a very hospitable welcome, even with a mobility scooter and 2 dogs. Very beautifully and comfortably furnished, a lot of attention has been paid to it. Coffee was served with a glass of whipped cream and water and a delicious mini brownie. Apple pie was super fresh and tasted delicious. Highly recommended!
